Had a great experience for my sons type 4c hair cut. Its difficult going to new Barber but these gentleman were a joy. Wholesome barber shops still exist!

Old school staple of a Barber Shop, 20+ years of experience cutting various hair types, good convo, a true temple of cultural exchange... I moved into the area recently Mr Ron is well versed in DC history and barbering.. never a day that I havent left the shop with a chiseled crown and a new jewel (knowledge) Ambassador!

I never write reviews but this man compelled me to come out of the woodwork. I went by at 11am and the shop was closed. The Salon next door says this guy shows up around noon. Not a problem, Ill call later and come back. I recently moved here and as a black man, I am trying to find a shop that I can feel comfortable with. Judging by the pictures, this placed looked perfect. I called at 1pm to ask if he would be available in 10 minutes. He said no, he only takes walk ins. I asked what time he opens, explaining that I was there at 11am and he was closed. This man mistook me for some guy who called him yesterday, and then proceeded to berate me about how long it takes him to get there from home (50 minutes, apparently) and how I should be more sympathetic. At one point he suggested I was businessman and rattled of nonsense that I tuned out before I cut him off and said goodbye. This man lost my business before I even walked in the door.

I had an outstanding experience here. They took care of me with a beard trim and razor shave/edge-up at a reasonable price. The guys also understand customer service—courteous and professional.

The barbershop experience is at its purest here at Star Barbershop. I had a wonderful time talking with other customers and Ron. I witnessed mentoring, friendship, and a clear sense of UPLIFT of the community. I felt welcomed. The cutt was tight. My soul was uplifted. All of this at Stars Barbershop.

By far, the best barbershop if you are looking for a welcoming, authentic family friendly atmosphere. Mr. Ron and his son Karl are experienced, consummate professionals who Ive brought my children to for years. This is what a neighborhood barbershop should look and feel like.

I was stationed at Fort Myers Va from 1983 through 1987 in the 3rd Infantry (The Old Guard), the owner of Star barbershop, Mr. Ronnie was my barber for all those years. I need to say that of all those years I was always satisfied and so was my wife of twenty seven years now was also very very pleased. The atmosphere was always friendly and jokingly, now that I am retired from the military and my wife is my barber I would trust him even now with my hair. Mr Ronnie knows how to cut straight and curly hair, no matter what texture of hair that you may have. If you want to hear good clean conversations, experience a respectable atmosphere and get a fresh professional styled cut, Star Barbershop is the place to get it all for a reasonable price.

Best haircut Ive ever gotten. Terry hooked me up with an awesome fade for a new job Im starting soon, hadnt gotten my haircut in 4 months prior to that so alot had to be done and I am very pleased with the result for only $20.

Classic, old-school barbershop. The proprietor has been there for 51 years and counting. Ive only been there once, but it was a great experience. Terry, a young fellow although hed been cutting hair there for four years, worked me over. $15 got me a very meticulous cut and trim of the hair and beard. Walk-ins accepted.
