Serena has been doing a great job on my hair since I moved into the neighborhood. (Im no longer a five-minute walk away, but I still keep coming back.)My hair needs are pretty basic, as is the shop. And that works great for me. No frills, and she is fast and does an excellent job. And its a good value at $17. A great asset to Arlington. Im glad Serena has found us, and I hope you will find her.Coffee and a cut used to be my thing. But sadly, since the Java Shack downstairs closed, the Arlington coffee scene has been diminished.

Ive been here three or four times and have never experienced anything less than excellent service. The prices are reasonable, the lady who runs the place is pleasant and attentive, and the shop itself is in a convenient location between Court House and Clarendon. The first time I went I didnt realize she only accepted cash, but she trusted me to take money from an ATM nearby after she had cut my hair. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fastest haircut ever, I am out in less than 10 minutes with a great haircut, I love it. Cost is $17, cash only, no credit cards. Add $3 tip for an even $20. This place may not be for everyone, but for me it is perfect.

A lady runs this barbershop. She does a good job, 17 dollars for man haircut. She is quick, but sometimes too quick because there is a second customer in line, which makes me a little uncomfortable.Overall good experience. She understands what you want and tries her best to do it.

After getting tired of waiting in the queue at my former go to barbershop in Court House, I finally checked this place out on a whim earlier this year. Im so glad I took a chance on the little shop above the Java Shack! First off, the place is always open no matter when I decide to get some hair chopped, and theres a never a huge line! Thats even crazier when it seems to only be Serena working every time I go. Shes always friendly, pays attention to all the small details, and offers a fair price. Its a double-edged sword that its always quiet in there, but I hope she stays in business for years to come!

Theres an old asian lady who runs this shop. I have been to a lot of barbers, usually white and black males, and this lady does a great job. I normally get a very simple haircut, a high & tight, and Ive found that a lot of barbers either get a little sloppy, or they spend maybe an hour doing something thats probably not necessary. This lady gives me a fast haircut of good quality and a reasonable price, and thats all Im really looking for. Also, Ive never been in there with another customer, theres no line, you walk in get your haircut, and youre done. This is my go-to hair cutter for the region.

Best casual barber shop in the area, in and out pretty fast, she pays attention to detail in ways other $17 cuts dont, but if youre the kinda person who wants crazy stuff done to your hair then you shouldnt be paying $17 for a cut anyway.

Save $17 and go to a decent barber elsewhere. The female Barber to the right rushed the haircut and messed up a simple fade.She does one style and one style only. Good luck trying to communicate how you like your cut...My hair will grow back but I will not be coming back here.

Walked 10 mins to get here only to find out the closed 20 mins early. That has to count for something at all levels from a level service perspective. Change your hours or stay open.

OMG, this lady is awesome! I just had the best haircut experience in...20 years. Quiet, unassuming little shop over a coffee place, this cute lil Asian lady just bossed my haircut in 10 minutes. Shell was quick and confident, doing exactly what I asked, and made my hair exactly what i expected. BAM! Then she did this warm eucalyptus towel, and this good smelling powder... jeeze, for $17 bucks! I gave her $25. Shes my new barber.

Never again. The diminutive woman who cut my hair on January 7 is either deaf or a sadist (or possibly both). I was attacked with one of those electric razor things, the whole thing was over in minutes. At least where this particular lady is involved, run dont walk from Courthouse Barbershop.
