Lauren was fantastic! She took time to really listen to what I wanted and also offered some suggestions, based on my hair type, to help achieve the look I wanted. The results were fantastic and I am so happy with how it turned out! The instructors were also very attentive and helped where needed. Thank you Lauren for the great experience and beautiful results!
Would leave zero if I could. Drove 45 minutes to get my hair done with my sister yet they denied me because of “my hair extensions” dumbest rule ever.Won’t come back.
I was really excited to go to the school for a color. I usually home color but have had difficulty finding my shade. I thought $30 was reasonable. After a consult, they wanted $83. I had only requested single color and slightly darker than what I had, so no stripping needed. Not sure what color they will actually do for $30, but I walked out and told them Id sooner go to a regular salon and have a licensed professional color if it was going to be that much. At least I wouldnt have to be there for hours on end. Do not trust their price menu.
Team was Amazing!! Sarah was very friendly and did an awesome job coloring my hair. She also listened to what I truly wanted. Thank you!!
I love this school! I’m glad I chose Paul Mitchell! Such a great and amazing experience. The only thing about this school I didn’t like is they do a lot of stuff that doesn’t haven’t to do with hair! Ex: walking on books to get to the other side of the room! 🧐 It was actually a waste of time. Me. Sondra was literally my favorite!!!!!!!! Shoutout to Ms. Sondra for teaching me to use a roundbrush! Shoutout to Jarett for being awesome! Shoutout to Val!!! And Malerie!!!! Stacy was rude. Her attitude is always like she never feels like being bothered. If your a student here, I don’t recommend going to Stacy for help, if she still works there. Just sayin 😂💀
I have always had a Great experience at Paul Mitchell school but this time, Lacey did an awesome job! Very pleased! She was good to my hair; paint, wash and style. Sad that shes graduating soon but I wish her all the luck. 😊
Great place to get a haircut or color! Emma was awesome!!! Will be back!
I had a good experience here. They were very professional and did a good job.
I scheduled my appt a week in advance & got multiple texts throughout the week to confirm my appt, yet they called me 3 hours before my appt to cancel due to low attendance? Just unprofessional & extremely disappointing, I had been looking forward to it all week. :(
Please do not go here. It is so expensive, so long time and not professional at all. The result came out horrible! Wanted to get blond and I know it takes time but did not expect to come out orange 😔 all I got back is that my hair took the color that way. And this cost 160$ 😱 I also have horrible pain on my neck due to them having me in the washing sink for one hour.
Had a very good experience for my first time in. Destiny did exactly what I wanted, and my hair looks very nice. She used products that would help with the troubles I have with my hair and afterward showed me the products that are for sale there. I am happy with the hair cut and style and the product I purchased.
This is the worse school of Paul Mitchell, I was since 1pm to 11 pm at the school doing highlight and my hair is green and horrible. I got the worse hair hands that I never had and the supervisor did not nothing to fixe my hair. I used Paul Mitchell school from two years ago in New Jersey and Missouri and NEVER have complain before but this one in Arlington TX, I do NOT recomend, I paid $140 . Now I am looking to fix my hair but I have to wait because my hair was over color and it can break so easy. PLEASE DONT GO TO COLOR IN THAT PLACE.
I had a simple procedure. Hair looks nice - no products used to tame flyaway. Nothing special really.
Loved it here!! Got my roots touched up and the person that did my hair was amazing!
Great stuff. This is where I get my hair done from now on
Franklin was awesome! Very detail-oriented and gave me my favorite haircut Ive ever had. He asked the coaches any time he had a question, and was constantly asking for feedback. Nothing negative to say at all!Like most Paul Mitchell locations Ive been to, because the hair services are part of their training/classes, expect to stay about twice as long as a normal haircut. Other than that, if you can, ask for Franklin!
Maci cut my hair, and it was great! She did such a good job and I am so happy with how my hair looks!
I drove from Mesquite to Arlington for a schedu912:30 appointment with astylist...only to find that she was not there.
My daughter had birthday money she wanted to use to get her hair colored for summer. The training staf tried to up charge her from $25 up to $75 saying they would need to use mich more color than normal to get her tips colored. At 13 she did a good job of holding her ground and stating what she wanted and how much she had to pay. The trainer never came back to guide the student and she only used about half the bowl of color. The color was light and uneven. Washed out in 5 days. I know she was a student, but the trainer was very absent. I have had good experiences at other Paul Mitchell schools. Not this one!
Excellent hair cut. The stylist was very nice and had a friendly and professional personality. Great visit.
Pretty bad experience. Chastity was very friendly and professional that was not the problem. Before coming here I went to a few other places just to get a quote on how much it would be to go blonde. (My hair is light brown, mostly virgin hair a little blonde at the tips that was done professionally not box dye. I have fairly good healthy hair) first off let me just start by saying this is a SCHOOL and you guys quoted me higher than any professional salon did. Again my hair is very short and they quoted me 239. Sorry but I’m not paying that much for someone who’s still in a learning process and nobody should. I will be letting people know it’s a rip off here and you overcharge.
I absolutely love coming here. I recently went in with an intense color project, I had dyed my hair blue at home over six months ago and the color could not be taken out. They were so unbelievably patient and worked with me to find a solution. I’m so happy with the way my hair turned out.
Really nice people. Very calming. I loved what they did with my hair
I have been going to PM schools for years to have my hair cut. Ive been very satisfied with the outcome and with the atmosphere when I visit any of them. However, the last few times I have tried to schedule an appointment online I dont get an email reply back to confirm my appointment. When I try to call, it rings for FOREVER and then goes to voicemail, and I never get a call back. Not sure whats happened in the last couple of years but yall need to step it up. You have great staff, products, location, etc but your person in charge of scheduling isnt doing their job.
As a former student, and guest at Paul Mitchell the School Arlington, I have had nothing short of a wonderful experience here! From the learning leaders, to the future professionals, everyone does an excellent job of embodying the Paul Mitchell culture. I always felt supported, and everyone always went above and beyond to make sure that not only my educational needs as a student were met, but also as a guest. The kindness and friendliness of the staff at this school makes the experience even that much more amazing. It was truly a blessing to be impacted by these amazing people. The overall learning experience was better than I could have ever imagined going into a new school. I would absolutely recommend Paul Mitchell to anyone interested in pursuing a career in the cosmetology industry. I truly believe I would not be the confident, amazing stylist that I am today if it weren’t for every single wonderful soul in this amazing establishment! :)
Reviewing as a school. Not a salon. Student, not a guest.
It was amazing! Be sure to ask for Savannah Kirkpatrick!
I got a soothing deep condition and a nice trim. My cosmetologist cut my hair the right length, and brushed it out without hurting my scalp. Also they had great service and were cordial with all the clients. I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice hair treatment for a great price.
Great experience. Students and Instructors always listen and advise. I find it to be a very uplifting atmosphere. This has been my go to place for several years. Have had my hair colored, highlighter, low lights, cut and styled. Eyebrows waxed. They listen. As a 65 year old lady, I have learned over the years that just because you see it on someone else doesnt mean my hair will do it. That is what I love most about the school. They listen, and consult. All while being polite and helpful.I drive over an hour for my Paul Mitchell experience and its worth it. They love what they do, and it shows.
Our daughter enrolled into this school and began Jan. 30, 2019. She wouldve graduated March 2020, but COVID happened. Our daughter has 100 hours left to graduate from their program. We have fulfilled our payments to the school, bank statement to prove and they WILL NOT allow her back in to finish. They are accepting new students daily for their program. They only care about the money. We are not from here originally so we dont know many people. Stay away if you dont have family and friends to have come to you. My daughter was not given clients during her time here other than myself or 1 or 2 deep conditions. This is very concerning because we just paid a lot of money for her play with doll hair for a year. Doll hair is very different than human hair. There is not any one person in charge at the school so if you have an issue and need assistance, good luck. Also, no one is on the same page when you do go in with an issue you need resolved or answered. I wish we had done much more research among Cosmetology schools before throwing $20,000 down the drain. During the virus shutdown they did online training. One of the training videos my daughter had to watch and write an essay about was Snowboarding. What does Snowboarding have to do with hair????? This was before she was dropped from their program. In their program they dont allow you to go over a certain amount of hours or they will drop you and only allow you back in when they say your can come back. This is where we are with our daughter. She has the required number of hours required by TDLR to take her tests to become licensed, but still lacks those 100 hours on her signed contract with Paul Mitchell. Our daughter has been trying to get back in since they re-opened and it takes weeks for anyone to reply to her and all they tell her is they need to see what TDLR says. I have spoken with TDLR and they stated she can take her tests to become licensed, but she needs to be released from Paul MItchell by completing those 100 hours. Oh and we have to PAY MORE money for her to come in and complete those hours......we already paid for those hours!
I have been going to Paul Mitchell The School of Arlington for 3 years. The Stylist are so Professional and nice. They just opened up June 23 and due to the Coronavirus things have changed..
I made an appointment for 2pm and waited 30 minutes before someone got to me. There was a lady that was really nice, she offered me something to drink 3 times through out my visit. My original hair color is dark brown and I wanted to change it to maroon. Well after the color was in my hair literally looked the same then the instructor comes up to me and says this is why I asked you if you had any color in your hair in the beginning. I haven’t dyed my hair in over 6 years I’ve cut my hair short it’s grown out and none of my hair took the color. So they did it a second time and I noticed a little change in the roots. At this time it was 6:30pm and I was ready to go home. My hair was also cut too short (I have curls), but I don’t care about that it’s just hair it will grow back. What I did care about was me not being able to get the color I wanted. I called to speak with someone over the program and expressed how I felt and what happened so she scheduled me an appointment with an advance student and told me it would get fixed just come on in. The color was now visible but no where near what I wanted and I had to pay for that visit as well even though they messed up plus she didn’t mention anything about paying I thought she was going to just “fix it”. I wish I could upload a photo to show my before and after of each visit. I will never go back there again, the only reason I went there in the first place is because this guy who was my stylist is a Paul Mitchell student from the Houston area and I absolutely love his work. This ARLINGTON location disappointed me twice. They knew that wasn’t what I wanted based off the picture I showed them.
Ive been going here for haircuts for 3 years now. I love them. The students are always very friendly and attentive and do their best to deliver what you want. The instructors are great. Ive gotten deep condoning treatments before and had a blowout once. I havent tried any of their other services (waxing, dyeing, make-up, etc) but have no reason to assume they wouldnt deliver stellar services at a very reasonable price for these as well.
I have been here several times and requested someone who could work on ethnic hair and always given that person. I tried to make an appt on another day and asked if anyone could do that style and the manager refused to check nor did she confirm if the instructors could teach someone on that style. She wasnt very pleasant and very poor customer service skills. She could have used this as an opportunity to teach. I called Ogle in Arlington, requested the same service and they were more than willing to accommodate.
I had the best haircut today! I absolutely love the atmosphere at the school and all the learning that is always happening.
A stylist at a different establishment absolutely butchered my hair and, because a friend recommended it to me, I came here to see if they could fix it. The student who did my hair (thank you Vicki!) was amazing, but also, the instructor personally worked on my hair several times throughout the session. They were able to salvage so much more of my hair than I expected, and they completely exceeded my expectations in every way. The bottom line: a Paul Mitchell student did my hair better than a licensed professional, for half the price.
Had a great experience with Miracle today. I wanted to go to someone that was experienced with natural hair, and she did not disappoint. I had to wait a little while for my service, but it was worth it. I will definitely be back!!
I am a former Student of Paul Mitchell The School- Arlington. I can honestly say that Paul Mitchell prepared me well from soft skills to hair skills! I loved my time there. The Turnage Family is AWESOME! They really care for the Paul Mitchell Schools. The instructors are AMAZING. They have an abundance of knowledge and I can tell that they truly love what they do. Attending Paul Mitchell was a blessing for me! It has helped me become successful. I love the field I am in and I am proud to be a Paul Mitchell Alumni!🖤
This school is beyond amazing! As soon as you step in youre surrounded with a wave of excitement, and loads of positive energy. Everyone greets you with smiles, and kind words. Ive had the opportunity to get my hair done here before I started school here and they did a fabulous job! My hair is tons better now, its finally healthy once again! And as far as the school aspect. Its the best of the best, if thats what youre looking for, look no forward. The admissions leaders make you want to start that very day and are really helpful with any questions you have regarding the school, the learning leaders make your love for this industry grow even more if thats even possible! My learning leader at the moment is Stacye and hands down, knowing Im going to come to her class pumps me up! Shes so positive, and doesnt get frustrated when we ask her to go more in depth with anything! I cant wait to continue my journey here, and if youre curious and interested in cosmetology school, I totally recommend checking this school out!!! 💕💕💕💕
I graduated here with every tool I needed to succeed. I learned to appreciate and give a great guest experience to who ever sat in my chair. Coming to Paul Mitchell was the best choice I could’ve ever made, you literally can not lose with this school!! Coming out of school I was comfortable doing every one hair, even if it’s color, cut or style. I got to learn and make mistakes and learn to fix my mistakes on people who are paying our school to let us practice in their hair! Think about that... people trust you because you are educated the Paul Mitchell way, mind blowing. I’m now a licensed cosmetologist in the Mansfield area and I’m literally living my dream :)
I absolutely LOVED my time attending school here. Such a fun & happy atmosphere with lots of opportunity! If you’re considering cosmetology school, definitely schedule a tour, I promise you will fall in love!
Love this place! Took my daughter in without an apt on a Saturday morning. I wasnt expecting for her to be seen the same day. To my surprise, they were able to accommodate us. The stylist was very pleasant and took the time to do my daughters hair. My daughters hair is very course and thick. They spent almost 3.5 hours doing her hair but the outcome was so worth it. I felt bad that they had to spend so much time on just her but I understand why. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely be going back!!
After visiting other cosmetology schools, I realized PMTS Arlington was where I needed to be. The environment is like no other. A school filled with people who share the same passion, and crave as much knowledge as you is an ultimate reward. The admission leaders are very helpful and compassionate to your needs. The learning leaders set you up for success and motivate you to be the best you can be. I wake up everyday excited to get to school and learn beyond my imagination. If you are looking to attend a cosmetology school, I highly recommend Paul Mitchell The School Arlington. Also come check us out to get your hair looking and feeling fabulous!
Loved it! Very clean & professional. My hair looks & feels amazing! Jalia does a FANTASTIC job. I will be seeing you before the wedding.
This school is the top Paul Mitchell School in the nation for a reason! I am what you would call a homegrown Paul Mitchell professional. I attended the Cosmetology Program as well as the Instructor Program and now I am a Learning Leader at Paul Mitchell the School Arlington. The school truly prepares you to be a successful professional in the beauty industry. The skill set you learn is invaluable as a professional and the Paul Mitchell Schools culture will help you grow In your personal life as well. If you are looking for an amazing cosmetology program this is the one for you!
The first time was excellent but my second visit was for highlights and she missed a big area of my front hair and now my hair is half blonde white and the untouched portion is dark brown. I realized this when I was trying to make a ponytail. So I hope they can fix their mistakes otherwise I wouldn’t take risk of going back their again.
I attended school here and I could not have asked for a better journey. Not just the education that I got, but the friends, and role models that I gained from this school were life changing. This place was my home for a whole year and I wouldnt change that if I had the chance. They will certainly teach you everything you need to know for this industry, without this school and its team of learning leaders, I would not be where I am today; working in a great salon and most importantly doing what I love. You will have a great experience here!l! No questions asked!
Mia was honest and made me feel comfortable during my treatment. I can’t wait to see her again in 4 weeks! She was smart, personable and professional!!!! Thanks Mia!!!
If you are creative and self motivated this is a great school. Design Team can provide great opportunity: advanced classes, occasional fashion shows and print work. The guest artists can be REALLY super great and inspirational. The staff is supportive and provides a solid foundation. Phase 2 opens up numerous learning opportunities: building up to salon speed, advanced cutting techniques and specialty color. There ARE a lot of distractors, but if you stay focused on practicing and learning it is possible to become an extraordinary stylist. Make the most of your time at Paul Mitchell learning and networking and success is sure to follow.
I went here to get my hair cut and colored. The phase 2 instructor advised me to get a darker color and it turned out great! I cant remember the name of my stylist, but she did amazing! I absolutely love my hair.
We go here often to get our hair done. Love the environment and the professional staff.
This was by far the worst hair experience ever in life. I do not recommend and will never return ever in life. I’m an black female with 3b hair and my stylist was a white female. She didn’t know how to detangle my hair which resulted in two balls of my hair on the floor and after the service my hair was extremely tangled. If I could rate no stars that’s what this would be. But the lady was actually really nice and sweet but shame on Paul Mitchell.
I’m currently a student in the school’s instructor program. As a stylist of 4 years - having a completely different cosmetology school experience - the differences are night and day. The information/tools given to to these students set them aside and give them a head start in their career. From culture, soft skills, technical, and more, PMTS Arlington defines the standards for a successful cosmetology career.
I had a wonderful experience at the Paul Mitchell School. I have a friend that goes to school there and not only is the staff extremely nice, they are very professional and know exactly what they are doing. I think they are a little pricey for somethings but they do a wonderful job. Keep in mind they are indeed students however, the Instructors keep a watchful eye on the students and interject when needed. It was an overall wonderful experience!
I graduated from here last spring and it was an amazing experiences. The instructors are awesome, I learned so many tips and techniques from all of them. They truly care that everyone that goes here gets out there and is successful in this industry!
Almost done with my learning experience and I’m beyond proud of the person I’ve become, because of Paul Mitchell the school and the fabulous instructors my career is taking off! Thank so much the Turnage family for the high expectations you set, without those standards we would not be who we are today as a school. Beyond blessed!
The young lady doing my hair was fabulous until a night school teacher walked but and cut half my hair off. I had long beautiful hair and only wanted a slight trim and layers and i came home and half my hair was gone no slight trim. I do not recommend going at night. Love the young lady, i know she was upset too.
This school is amazing! Since orientation Ive been excited to attend class, the instructors are the best & they will make sure you understand what youre doing before they move on. I dont have one negative thing to say about my experience there.
If your looking for a place to feel like home while learning from some amazing educators then Paul Mitchell is the place for you! You learn so much while meeting so many people along the way and not to mention you couldn’t ask for a Better owner than the turnage family!! They really do make sure u are successful in the beauty industry. Paul Mitchell is family oriented So you always have someone there to help! I’m not at drybar and couldn’t be happier and that is because of Paul Mitchell they helped guide me to my true passion.
When I walked into Paul Mitchell, I didnt even take a second guess on if that was the school for me. The atmosphere is amazing and the education is even more amazing. I learned SO much for the amazing learning leaders. I highly recommend checking it out if you are considering cosmetology school or even looking for a new place to get your hair done. You wont regret it!
Starting school at Paul Mitchell has been the best decision I have EVER made! The learning leaders care so much and the admissions team is super supportive from day one through your entire journey! I was accepted into Phase Two and I have learned so much and am ready to start my career! Im going to miss my PM family!
No words could ever describe how much love I have for this school and everything it has done for me. With the amazing learning leaders, to going to Dallas fashion week, and many more opportunities. By far the best decision Ive ever made
I had booked a color appointment last week with Norma for today at 1:15 p.m. I have been going to Paul Mitchell for several years and not one time have they honored the appointment time - they are always at least 15-20 minutes late! Today, they told me at 1:30p.m., that Norma did not return from lunch so would I like to have someone else do it. Well, yes, thats why I scheduled it!! In another 15 minutes, Susan came to get me. She did not start the process until 2:00 p.m. When the 35 minutes (setting time) was up, she tried to comb through the heavy mass of color solution on my hair which did not feel so well. She then took me back to the shampoo room to wash it out. She went and got something to take the dye off of my skin. When I got home, I had dye on one-quarter of my forehead and across my neck. I called Paul Mitchell to let them know and they said Windex would take it off. My biggest complaint through all of this would be to not only teach cosmetology to these students but more importantly, punctuality and consideration of the paying customers time. It was fortunate I didnt have an appointment afterwards that I would have had to miss.
The lady who did my hair was very nice and professional. The instructor only had to help her even up my hair a little but I did not mind. It was a good enough experience to encourage myself to go back and even take my daughter.
It took me to the barber school, but luckily the actual school was right across the way.
I am a student here and I absolutely love this school! The environment is uplifting and positive all the time! All of the learning leaders really care if you succeed or not and help you in anyway they can! I have learned so much in the past few months that Ive been attending and I dont think I would have been as happy if I would have chosen a different school!
I attend Paul Mitchell the school at Arlington and its the best thing Ive ever done for myself!! I love the school if your looking for a school to motivate you and encourage you and keep you looking forward towards your dream this is the school for you... I love the staff your not gonna find people who care about your education anywhere else.😄
I had a wonderful experience at the school. The girl, Kelly, who did my ombre did an amazing job. Very nice blend and color. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I would definitely go back and already made another appointment in 8 weeks. Only complaint from me was it was a little chilly in the building.
I love my learning leaders and the other students are friendly and supportive!!!!! It is a small school but everyone is so excited to be there that the energy is amazing! If you are looking into attending a cosmetology school I would def. recommend this one.
I love this school! Everyone is kind and hard working. You will ALWAYS be greeted with a smile. Everyone seems to make sure the guest has a great experience and I cant wait to go back!
Starting my journey to cosmetology here was the best decision I ever made! The staff and education are phenomenal! The support you get from the staff and classmates is something youll never forget. They helped me find my first job ever. If youre looking for a school with a great education, atmosphere and people to call your second family lol, this is the place to go!
Called at 4:30pm on a Friday to book an appt and they were able to get me in at 5:45. My stylist was great and worked on my hair for 4.5 hours. My hair came out perfect!
I have always had good experience when coming to the salon. I have had a level one and level two work on my hair and both had did a great job. I have blonde hair and sometimes its hard to blend in the roots with the already-processed hair. These ladies both had did a great job and I will be going back every time I need a touch-up.
Just by walking in to Paul Mitchell I knew thats where I needed to be! The way its set up and their education format was amazing. I love all the staff and how helpfull every single one of them were to me in my journey there! Great school I would definitely recommend it to anyone! (:
Love this place. Went to school here and all the Instructors are amazing. Such a positive atmosphere!
Phase 1 Lexi did my hair and CeCe the instructor did a fantastic job. Love the my hairstyle!
My husband, daughter, and I always get our hairs done at PM School Arlington. The prices for services are stellar for the professional outcomes. The learning leaders are top notch, especially Jessica and Codi. They guide the students and take care of guests seamlessly.Do plan to stay a while though, especially on Saturdays. I have been at the salon for 5 hours before for all over lightening and haircut.
People need to keep in mind that this a learning facility. With that being said, hair can turn out anywhere from so-so to extraordinary (even under the supervision of an instructor). The first time I went to Paul Mitchel the color didnt take. My hair was virgin to any chemicals and processing. The problem was quickly addressed and fixed. They booked me for the next day to fix the problem and I was completely satisfied.I would recommend training the operator/appointment setter. Initiative and phone etiquette is something that should be strived for since it sets the tone for the company. Especially under a well-known prestigious name. When booking for an appointment the young lady seemed annoyed. Maybe a bad day? Either way, this is something VERY important that students need to keep in mind when dealing with clients. If they are annoyed by my request to make an appointment, will they be annoyed by my requests when doing my hair?
This school has been one of the greatest choices I couldve made! I have really enjoyed every phase of the program. As graduation approaches I truly feel I have received the most from my education and that the learning leaders have given me a great foundation to my career! Its hard to put into words how much the teachers have done for me, but Codi (the phase 2 learning leader) has really impacted me! She has taught me the skills that I need, but more importantly she has showed me what it means to be a professional. The learning leaders at this school lead by example making them amazing mentors.I have had many opportunities to travel with this company, and learn from platform artist from all over the world. The owner, John Turnage makes frequent visits to the school to meet every new class, to talk with the future professionals, and to inspire. He truly is an amazing man with a genuine heart.Paul Mitchell the school Arlington is the best choice in cosmetology schools! A choice that I am forever greatful I made!
Horrible service! They had me waiting forever! People were walking in and they were getting immediate service while I waited. After 35 minutes of waiting, I walk up to the counter and asked the girl how long the wait is. She tells me 5-10 minutes. So I let her know Ive been waiting 35 mins, she apologies, and prints out a ticket, takes it to the back, comes back and says I will be next in line. So I go back and have a seat and wait AGAIN. After waiting another 10 minutes, still nothing. During those 10 minutes, 3 customers show up, sign in and take a seat. Those 3 customers get service before I do. So much for being next in line! So I decided to leave, and told the girl at the counter just cancel it, Ive been waiting 45 minutes watching everyone else who walked in after me get a haircut. My first time there and definitely my last.
This school is awesome and very professional! LOVE IT!!!!!! If you are a student looking to come here you will not regret it!! They have so many instructors with knowledge in any and everything cut, color, makeup ETC!!
When I decided to go to cosmetology school, I toured every school in the area. The minute I walked into Paul Mitchell Arlington, I knew it was different in the best way possible. I couldnt have asked for a better experience throughout my journey. The first time I walked in the doors of the school I felt positivity, and a genuine care for each of the future professionals. This place understands that ultimately being in this industry is all about giving back, and helping people find their inner, and outer beauty. They also understand that it is crucial to understand the business side of things to become successful. This gave me an amazing foundation for my career, which made stepping into the real world after school an easy transition. I could write so many more things about how Paul Mitchell Arlington impacted me in such a positive way, personally, and professionally, but it would get way to lengthy! The PMTSA learning leaders are the shizz, && I recommend this school to anyone looking for a career in cosmetology!!! :)
Kid friendly and very family oriented place. Extremely welcoming environment and loved my experience here.
I enjoy telling friends about going to PM The School and encouraging them to try it. The students are always informative about new products.
Price was nice, yeah, but I ended up being there for 5ish hours because I was offered a 15min treatment that I agreed to.. which didnt really leave my hair feeling any softer like it was supposed to. Eyebrows done, decently, not exactly even.. but the haircut.. the girl and the instructor were wanting to do 2 different things so when the instructor left she did her thing and so on... the sides arent even (about am inch off) that she tried to cover up by curling... Im not blind, ladies.Overall the instructor & student were on completely different pages and I wasted most of my time getting some dead ends off (yay) and an uneven haircut (HARD BOO). Nice people but chaos and bad results.
If you are interested in cosmetology school, you wont find a better or more positive set of learning leaders than the ones at Paul Mitchell. I highly recommend them. 😊
I have called three times in an attempt to even get an appointment and no one answers the phone. I understand being busy, but no on has even attempted to call me back. Terrible customer service it seems.
Wanted to take a moment to share with you my hair color experience at your Salon and with one of your future professionals, Tiffany Galchutt. The service provided was exceptional. I was greeted by your receptionist as soon as I walked in the door as well as by numerous other staff members while I waited. Tiffany was prompt in greeting me at my scheduled time, was polite, welcoming and made me feel at ease immediately. During our initial consult, Tiffany took the time to ask me about my hair needs, history and product usage. She made suggestions based upon my needs, and not of hers. I was impressed by the level of professionalism shown by both Tiffany and her training instructor. Tiffany explained my goal, her plan, answered the trainer’s questions correctly and confirmed the product and product placement with both myself and the trainer. Tiffany worked efficiently and in a timely manner. She made sure that I was informed of what she was doing, what product she was using and kept me updated on the processing time. The best part of the entire experience was during the washout phase. She massaged my head and temples which was extremely relaxing. As Tiffany styled my hair, she shared and suggested products that she believed would help me achieve the look I was wanted to create. She spent time showing me an easy and quick way to create the look I wanted without the need of blow dryers and curling irons. She made product recommendations to me that I purchased and I have enjoyed them so far and have been able to re-create the look. Tiffany spent time with me, the client, and made me feel special. One complaint that I do have with other stylist that I have used in the past is that they either work too fast without any interaction so that they can double/triple book clients or they work so slowly that an hour appointment turns into several hours. Tiffany’s knowledge, her attention to detail and her ability to connect with her client is what prompted me to schedule another appointment. I was skeptical about allowing a non-licensed stylist to work on my hair; however, my experience at Paul Mitchell and with Tiffany eliminated my concerns and I will recommend her and the school to others.
I moved across the country to work with this team. It is owned by a family that are some of the most trustworthy people I know. I couldnt be happier.
I would give them negative 500000 stars if i could. This place is awful and all they care about is their money, not the students. I went to a funeral and came back to find out they had already dropped me from the program without telling me.Ive had other issues with the staff as well such as racist remarks that werent taken care of because I am Caucasian.I do not recommended this school, unless you have the money they seek to keep you in school or paying for extra programs that should be included in the 22k you have to pay. They make promises of learning opportunities and they are no better than ogel or Toni and guy. Safe your money and seek a different school.
Great service
PMTSA Is one of the best! They prepare you for everything! I loved attending here! I made amazing friends & the learning leaders are awesome!
I showed up at 3:40pm on a Saturday, and wanted to just get a quick edge trimm. My hair is at the end of my neck so it wouldnt of took very long, but this very unprofessional receptionist told me that at this time I can either pay $18 for phase 2 stylists or come back on Tuesday. because the $5 phase 1 is done at 3:00pm even though they close at 5pm. I even saw stylists just looking bored. it was disappointing because I originally was going to go to another salon but I traveled a heavy traffic of 20min. and wasted gas, to be told that. the problem is the effort I made, the stylists that were clearly available the time I came vs. the time they close, and my hair trim which wouldnt of took long at all. I will never go here again!!!!
If you have dark hair and want it dyed, dont go here. I wanted to have my hair dyed so that I would have teal/purple in my hair, but had to settle for an ombre style, and I showed them what I wanted. They told me for what I originally wanted, I would need two sessions of hair lightening. I settled for the ombre style, but showed them a picture of what I wanted (yes, I still wanted purple/blue in my hair). They agreed, I signed. When the session was finished, the stylist did a great job...except it was nothing like what I originally wanted. Nothing. I spent $140 on a hair style, cut, and dye that I didnt want. I do not blame my stylist, I blame the instructor that was not honest about the services I would get.
Idk..where to start but I will say that I am very proud to be apart of the PMTSA Alumni..it was an awesome experience& I would most definitely recommend anyone who are looking to be apart of the industry that the education given will have you more than prepared to start your career as a cosmetologist. I went in for a cut and color. My expectations were met above beyond. Victoria did an amazing job, and I love it. Will continue to come back.
