I have been leaving here for 2 years and i loved it. Repairs were done on time, packages were picked on time, cleaning was done on time. I have no complains. Kaiser is a great guy and i loved my time in this apartment
Everything here is loud. From the unit doors that block as much sound as a screen door, to upstairs tenants that you can clearly hear stomping around or even laughing at 12am (luck of the draw), to the incessant maintenance problems and construction. And enjoy the hvac system which constantly clicks off and on, unless you’d like to freeze or get hot. When it’s functioning that is. For over $2,100 one would expect at least good instead of mediocre. Go elsewhere, which is what the management response to this should say.
Not a good place to stay long term. Corporate office is not resident friendly at all. Place is under constant construction inside the building. This is not a smoke free building as they will tell you, we cant open our window due to smell of Marijuana and smoke from other units. We had an incident where a deranged resident tried to break into our unit at 3am. Cant wait till the lease is over as most long term residents already moved out.
Ive been living here for about 2.5 years, and overall the experience has been great. I felt compelled to write this review after reading some of the strange and often silly one star reviews that people are leaving on here. Like the guy who didnt even bother to check his apartments location in the building before signing the lease, and then... was upset about the location. LMAO.Or the people who complain about hallway noise and smells. Both of these things can be greatly mitigated by simply installing some insulation around your front door, but I guess these people are just too stupid to think of this, or are too lazy and would rather just complain.A lot people complain about the rude staff, but in 2.5 years I have yet to have a single negative interaction with ANYONE who works here, whether its front desk or management or maintenance. Maybe Ive just gotten lucky, or maybe its because I dont act like an entitled ass with them when something goes wrong, who knows. But everyone is always nice and helpful. Example: I called down a few weeks ago to let them know that our AC had stopped working, and within minutes, the manager Zeeshan had a new work order created for us, and HVAC was there 30 minutes later fixing the problem. When it comes to noise in general, its obviously going to come down to the luck of the draw when living in a place like this. You may be lucky to not have loud neighbors or people/pets above you who like to stomp around, or maybe not. But when we were having a noise issue with the people above us and were at wits end, the leasing folks went above and beyond to help us transition into a new unit quickly. If youre going to live in the city, you have to expect theres going to be some random noise from somewhere at any odd hour. There is some loud construction/maintenance noise sometimes, both from outside and within the building, but its generally only between 8-4 on weekdays. To summarize, for me this has been a great place to live, and its a shame to see so many negative reviews over silly things, or people just holding this place to an unreasonable standard.
I have been living here for a year and I love Quincy. I live on the high floor and have a great view! The apartment is so clean and if there is anything broken, maintenance team will come timely. Some of the staff could be rude but I get what I need or response. The apartment is pretty quiet and I never hear loud noises. Rashid is extremely helpful. I wish I could stay here longer and I would recommend my friends to stay here !
Zeeshan and the staff at Quincy Plaza were super helpful in assisting my roommates and I along the application process. They were super responsive and answered every question we had. I’ve moved a lot and they have been the easiest rental property company to work with!
Every day I hate myself for signing a lease here. Look elsewhere, there are much better, and quieter places to live, especially for the price. I was lied to about the amount of noise travel between apartments; I can constantly hear my neighbors and there’s always loud construction. I am counting down the days until my lease ends.
Ive been living here at Quincy Plaza since 2014. The management office is very responsive and helpful. An awesome location and a friendly community - overall a great place to live!
AVOID! Worst managed apartment building Ive ever lived in. The entire staff has given up. The front desk are rude, lie right to your face, and stopped scanning in packages months ago. Lots of things are broken and they dont get fixed. Good luck trying to move in or out. They double book service elevator reservations and then lie saying people are using it without a reservation. The trash chutes are also never cleaned and the hallways reek of garbage, especially in the hot weather months.
I would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere as there are countless better options in the area, in terms of price, amenities, and particularly in terms of how management treat residents. Before I continue, I want to say that my favorite part of my experience living at QP was interacting with the people at the front desk. They were always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help you out.About half a year ago, there was a fire in the building. The stairwell was full of smoke as everyone was evacuating and the street was full of fire trucks. After this incident, my roommate and I tried numerous times to inquire to management and staff about what happened and we never received an answer. Everyone was seemingly very evasive in response to our question. This lack of transparency raised a big red flag. They never acknowledged this serious incident in any official capacity, not even as a general update to QP residents via email. This incident is one of a few I can think of where the management was dodgy with respect to basic questions about issues that directly pertained to QP residents.Very poor response time to service/maintenance issues. The minimum amount of time we had to wait for a maintenance request to be acknowledged was about a week and a half, which is a bit ridiculous considering how much they charge for rent. The stopper in our sink was stuck for OVER 2 MONTHS, making it very difficult to use as it was constantly jamming. Every time we would request assistance, both through the resident app and through direct communication with QP staff, our request would largely go ignored. Eventually we figured it out on our own.The rental agent intentionally misled us and blatantly lied to us during our tour of the place. I find it very difficult to concentrate or sleep through loud construction noise, so I made sure to ask a few times whether or not the unit we would actually be renting (we were only able to tour another apartment with the same floor plan) faced the heavy construction going on Quincy St. He repeatedly assured me that it was on the opposite side of the building and that we would have no issues with construction noise. We signed the lease, were given our keys and lo and behold, the apartment was on the side of the building directly facing construction. When I brought up this issue to upper management, I received a very rude response and was basically called a liar by the director I spoke to. This seems to follow the pattern of mistreatment by QP/Dittmar management mentioned in reviews of QP and other Dittmar companies.Additionally, as others have mentioned, they never clean the garbage chutes/garbage room so the hallways always stink, particularly in the summer. For your own wellbeing, please consider living literally anywhere else in the area. There is a wealth of available rentals with better prices, amenities, and management in Ballston/VA Square.
I lived there 12 months. The apartment is clean and location was convenient. I had a toddler and he will jump always but thank God we never heard any complaints from neighbors. I gave 3 stars because of the front desk. I think his name was Matthew. Everytime if I go front desk I was worried and felt uncomfortable asking him a help. Overall I would highly recommend QUINCY PLAZA !
The building is loud! There is always weird smells! Management doesn’t care! Between the constant internal construction to hearing your neighbors walking above you (even with concrete floors) or slamming their apartment doors. People smoke weed in their units and the smell will fill your apartment. There is always a smell in the hallways between the trash chute and the carpeted hallways. When you complain about issues they go unheard, management doesn’t seem to care. I have been here longer than I can stand because I hate moving, but this will be my last year with Quincy Plaza!
The front desk is extremely rude and unhelpful. I avoid them at all cost. For example, a few weeks ago, I called the front desk about packages, the front desk was so rude about it and questioned me instead. I couldnt believe it and I just said thank you and hung up. I am always horrified by the level of customer service they provide at quincy plaza. Will not renew my lease.
I’ve lived here for over 10 years. We went from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom. The wood style flooring adds that extra upgrade from fully carpeted like our 2 bedroom. The staff is nothing but friendly from the front desk to the property manager. All of our questions are always answered. This is our home. It’s nice coming home and knowing the front desk staff by name. Rashid is an amazing manager and his staff really shows it. The location is prime, 4 mins walking distance to the Virginia square metro and 5 mins from the ballston metro. Amazing nail salons are waking distance. You will never know what you want to have for dinner with all the options you have right next to you. Quiet neighborhood, i’ve never have had any noise issues living at Quincy Plaza. Quincy is the place to call home.
Checked out the apartments here last weekend! Very Modern with great views. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Chloe took extra time of of her Saturday to stay late and make sure we saw every appropriate unit. We greatly appreciated that. Thanks again Chloe!
Front desk staff extremely rude. Poorly managed building.
I lived here more than a year. The place is classy and has friendly staff who are always ready to help. Great gym, facilities and amazing location. I once had a clogging and it was Sunday, all I had to do is make a phone call to front desk and they got the maintenance attendant on a Sunday to fix that immediately!
Our neighbors smoke 24/7 and our whole apartment smells like smoke, our clothes, etc. The second hand smoke is very strong in our infant’s room. Management is not helpful and will not take action even though all residents are required to keep any smoke smell emanating from their unit from causing a nuisance, which is part of our lease. DO NOT LIVE HERE! They have also lost multiple packages
So disappointed with this experience. I’ve only been here a couple of weeks and it has been very uncomfortable. I ordered a delivery from target, TARGET. It was a box of towels, mugs and a couple of other things for my new apartment so I get a call from the front desk saying they can’t accept the package because they consider it “groceries”. There were no groceries in it, honestly living here has made my life more complicated. Front desk staff is rude and unhelpful, there’s so little they can help with. I was totally fooled when I came in for a tour, can’t wait for lease to be over.
Been living here for a little under a year. Great location and value and the apartments have everything you need. The management is very professionally run and Kawsar at the front desk is always very friendly and helpful.
Prices seem very high for such a huge outdated building.
Great place to live!Ive been at Quincy Plaza for about 1.5 years. The location is great and the staff is amazing. Brad Clohan (manager) in particular has been extremely helpful and great to work with.
Location is prime. Decent gym area and very responsive/friendly staff. Best apartments you will find in Arlington for the price.
Only complaint was hallway noise at all hours of the night on our floor, but overall, we had a great year there and the staff was excellent!
The management is not not bothered of keep the renters or giving them discounts. They are rude and up face tell the new prices of the market and this how they are not attending to their old or present rental.
Management is so unhelpful. Lost packages as well
I moved in and had a horrible experience with Judy at the front desk within two days only to have another bad experience with her later in the week. She was extremely rude to me and mad at me for making requests that the building honors. She should not have a job in customer service or a job that deals with people at all. She has a negative impact on the property and makes living the Quincy Plaza a less pleasant experience because she handles all the maintenance requests so dealing with her isnt avoidable.
Waited for 45min for a tour, nobody came. Waste of time
Walked in this morning looking to rent. Very rude and angry front desk agent who told me she is too busy to give me any information.
Love living here!!!
