Went here to have my hair styled for my sisters wedding. Fun atmosphere and nice staff. I really liked how my hair turned out and the staff really listened to what I wanted my hair to look like.

This was my first time getting my hair color at a salon so I was nervous! Haley gave me the best color EVER!! Everyone was so nice here. I HIGHLY recommend this salon! You will be glad you came!

Liz did my eyebrows, I got a wax and have never gotten my eyebrows waxed before do it was my first time and ended up looking amazing! It was cheap and quick, she applied a pre-wax gel of some sort to my eyebrows and surrounding area then applied the warm wax with stick, the whole experience was all relaxing, once she applied the cloth and ripped the hairs out the pain was very minor, nothing to whine about at all and Liz made me feel comfortable and welcomed while she was doing them. She applied aloe vera after finishing up and then touched up my makeup to the best of her abilities after she finished the waxing procedure. I will be coming back next to get a root touch up! Was very pleased with results and hospitality.

I’ve been going here for a few years now. Paige always does a fantastic job cutting and styling my hair; it is always perfectly coiffed.Besides Paige, the staff is friendly and professional, and the environment in the salon is welcoming and relaxing.I highly recommend the salon.

I am relatively new to the salon but have had great experiences in the last months. I shifted from using a local beauty school to Envisions services. The staff is always professional and accommodating. Stephanie has done a great job with my highlighting needs as well as my haircuts. I appreciated the atmosphere as they do want you to feel comfortable and pampered.

I always get a great haircut at Envision. The staff is friendly and inviting. They give super relaxing scalp massages when washing my hair and it almost makes me fall asleep in the chair.

Be sure to ask exact prices before having services done or you could end up with a shocking bill. Went in for a root color and cut... ended up paying $260 after a $20 tip. Was charged $80 for highlights done prior to coloring, which I felt was unnecessary. $59 for color plus $30 for additional color... and $20 for a PH bonder, which I was never told or asked about... wasnt even aware it was done or would be charged as an extra. The cut was $35 for a newer stylist. The end result was okay, but not spectacular and definitely not worth a highly padded $260 bill. Felt very violated.Since this review, one of the owners did take the opportunity to reach out to me and apologize for the miscommunication and overall experience. She was genuinely apologetic and did refund the highlights and PH bonder, which was appreciated. I think this has been a learning lesson in transparency for both sides. I will always be certain to verify prices and what the services entail before I consent... and Im fairly certain this salon will be sure to mention prices before services are performed.

Ive been going to Envision for a few years although I have moved away from Ankeny. I tried several places closer to home, but I keep going back to Leah at Envision. I always love my hair when she is done with it. She really understands how to make it work for my lifestyle and my total inability to style my own hair. The color is always awesome. I would absolutely recommend Envision, and especially Leah.

The girl who colored my hair was too inexperienced for the high cost. However, i went back and she amended my orange looking roots to match the rest of my hair. Would try again, but maybe find a more experienced colorist.

I love the people and my stylist Haley N. is the best. Always very friendly and considerate.

I went in to get a cut, color, and eyebrow wax. The cut and wax were fine. But the girl screwed up my color the first time, then had to re-do it. When I looked at my receipt later, I noticed that I was charged for her screw up another $20... besides the $53 for the first color! So that was $73 dollars, plus the extra time it took to fix the mistake. That doesnt even cover the fact that through all of this, this girl... bless her heart... kept finishing my sentences with me. I dont remember her name. I wish I could forget this experience as easily. In the end... my hair was... normal. Normal is boring. I was just happy to be done. I wont be going back.

Professional and trained to give you the look you request!

Staff is friendly, sure, but they do not listen to you. I watched my wife go in to get her hair dyed blonde, they quoted 183.00, they dyed her hair reddish brown because, I quote, they thought blonde was too much of a change for her so made the decision without consulting her until they already dyed it and used temporary dye that would wash out despite her asking them to NOT to do that to begin with.Then they get the gaul to charge over $200 because they did extra services without even asking if she wanted the treatment. Avoid this place at all costs, they will act nice but not listen to anything you ask and charge you for services you didnt want done because they think they know what you need better than you do, and then try to push more products on you.Save your money, go somewhere else.

Been twice and each time they ignore what I want. In fact, I brought a picture along with me today of a medium haircut with tons of layers ...she chopped my long hair straight across the bottom and there is only one layer...which was already there from before...she basically gave me a kids cut..now Im going to go spend another $40 somewhere else, because of the lazy service I received here. Wont sit in your chairs again.

Exceptional talent at Envision Salon. Their focus on continued education doesnt go unnoticed. Ive been a client since 2012. My stylist, Jes, always goes above and beyond to make the cut, color, or wax even better than I could have envisioned. The staff is friendly, understanding, and fun. Now Jes cuts my toddlers hair and she is so patient (with his curiosity and mutiple cowlicks). Envision Salon is our forever salon.

The haircut I received was so bad that I had to go elsewhere and get a second hair cut the next day. My hair was completely uneven, and I did not get the long layers that I asked for.

I went here for about a year and I loved it! I have since moved and am quite sad. I visited some other salons in the area when I moved to Ankeny and was not impressed. I had a red color that needed to be fixed and everyone was intent on doing bleach baths on my long, thick hair. Liz at Envision Salon said not necessary, and was able to cover the red to a very pretty color. This past January I had Liz do a blonde ombre (I still had residual red in my hair and my hair was still long and thick), and she did a truly amazing job! Liz also does wonderful cuts. The staff here are friendly and I would trust any one of them with my hair. Their prices are also reasonable. As someone that has been traumatized at other salons, thats saying a lot for me.

I had the reschedule twice and on the third appointment date they called me 30 mins before my appointment and said all of their people were running behind and nobody would be able to get me in that day. The lady refused to tell me her name and was very rude and nasty. Very unprofessional manner. Will never go to this salon or reccommend it to anyone!!
