Went in on a Sunday for a quick beard trim. No appt.I will give this place props for being open on a Sunday unlike many others. But, in my experience I felt a little over charged.I’m bald and have a thicker beard., my expectations aren’t high.But no straight razor, and I was in and out of the chair in 10 minutes, only to be charged 20$!Not dissing the line, but if I’m paying for a beard lining, I do expect to have better service/treatment than Kenny’s barber school. Dude (drew) rushed to get his next customer. Was not a fan. I probably waited in the lobby area longer than I did in the actual chairTook me 20$ to realize I was probably not coming back here.

I went to get my hair dreaded and was there for 5+ hours only to be met with transphobic and insensitive comments from three of the barbers I’ve never felt so disrespected from someone that I’m paying

I went in for a simple fade and line up of my undercut. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and there was no wait. I think I was in and out somewhere around 10mins-15mins. The dude that worked on my undercut didnt talk much at all but neither do I so it was aight. It was an overall chill experience and although the aftershave stung, my skin was grateful later on!

I asked Tiffany for a temp fade to enhance my wave pattern. For some reason she gave me a very low cut all over. When I asked if she could then fade the sides and that I didn’t intend for her to cut against the grain to cut my waves completely out. She decided to cut my hair completely bald. I guess she just gave me whatever haircut she wanted to see me with. She was 20 minutes late on the appointment, chair still had hair on it from the last customer, and she charged 3 dollars extra for the convenience of using a debit card. Not worth the $28 for a haircut I didn’t ask for without even a razor line.

The hospitality was great, but extremely over priced for the cut I received ; in edition to that I almost walked with one slide of my side burns looking like a down hill slope and the other with an arch . But I did leave with a nice cut on slide of face from my hair line . Overall I would give the shop a 3

Can only speak to my experience with Marlo. He was a quick study of the general idea that I requested, but he was not a particularly detail oriented barber. Certainly not an artist per se. I saw him multiple times, and each time I was on edge b/c I knew that he would likely jack up my cut, and do something other than what I had asked for. Definitely not the type of barber that remembers or improves cuts over time. Each experience was like starting over fresh, with new, different jack-ups to contend with. A much worse experience than other barbers I have had in other cities. Again, not an artist, just a run of the mill, or maybe less,...barber. Like most, more interested in getting paid than the quality of the product that he is selling. So if youre looking to simply remove a portion of hair from your head, check him out. If you are looking for something even remotely exceptional, go else where. In fact, if you find such a place, Im all ears,. Im still looking.

Went to Marlos today for the first time. I had a great experience. The shop is located behind the mall and is easy to get to and you are able to avoid mall traffic. It is hard to find a barbershop that is open on Sunday, in addition, who has a great barber and I lucked out on both today. Make sure you stop by and see Marlon Reed (Master Barber and Owner) for a great cut and help support this entrepreneur and his local business.

Fade is really nice but they don’t know how to cut straight hair specially top straight hair, my sides and fade are nice but the top is uneven and not right

I have been to probably close to 20 different barber shops in the Indy area. Nobody is nearly as good as the staff at Marlos. Im very particular about my beard and they get it right every single time! Theyre also super friendly.

This was my first time at Marlos and I was specific about what I wanted how to shave my head and trim and shape my mustache. Marlo did a great job around my head which is a triple 0 and 1 on top(as I told him in my appointment beforehand). Marlo needs to shave and cut clients while facing the mirror in case of errors, and I have a signature thick biker mustache, which when I look is now gone. He shaved too far in on both sides of my mustache and thinned it way too much. I could not see what he was doing not facing the mirror, and was shocked when I seen how short it was afterwards. Marlo told me he should have asked how short beforehand, but I was specific with him at the beginning. When I got home, my good friend was shocked that my signature look was gone and could not believe that it all was cut off and now I looked like a geek. Marlo has great experience and he is very pleasant, but the barber needs to cut Caucasians the way they need to be trimmed and not shaved like Black clients. I should not have paid him at all, and this should have been a free cut as this was his mistake. I now have to wait until this grows out and I guess now I have to find another barber. Marlo, you are wonderful, but you need to listen to your clients and give them what they want and not how you feel a trim needs to be according to your past.

Just moved into the Castleton area from Fort Wayne and was hoping to find a good barber shop that I would always go to. I can easily say after my first stop in, Marlos will be the only place I go to in the area. Did a quick Google search and stopped in on a Saturday afternoon; I waited maybe 3 minutes and then received the best fade and cut Ive ever had. Excellent prices and a friendly atmosphere, glad I stopped in and wont be going anywhere else.
