My husband surprised me for my birthday with a new computer. He had Dan build it from scratch. The machine works awesome. I have very high standards when it comes to computers, because I need them every day for my job. The machine works fast and allows me to use every program that I need all at once or simply browse the internet. Im very satisfied with Dans work. I will definitely recommend Andover Computer. Me and my family will have Dan keep our electronics tuned.
This isnt a business, its a hobby of the owners. Storefront is only open when he feels like it, he only answers the phone when he feels like it, and he just now told me were closed, its a holiday on October 3rd. He keeps nothing in stock and actually laughs in your face when you ask if hes got something, then says but I can order it for you. No crap, Sherlock; I can order it for my friggin self.Waste of time. Wouldnt recommend to anyone.
I cant get my computer back! They are never open and dont answer the phone or return messages. Dont recommend.
Well, I have tried to be patient, but this is ridiculous! I had an update problem when going from Windows 7 to 10 and asked that they take a look and fix it. I was told that I had some major virus, even though my two other computers running Kaspersky are perfectly fine. I let the owner talk me into adding an SSD for my OS, and was told he would bring it up to Windows 10, and restore all my files and desktop, just like it was before I had the issue. No Problem!I was called and told it was ready, drove over to get it, drove it back home, hooked everything up, turned it on, and NONE of my files were on the computer! So, I call, drive it back over, drop it off, and three (3) days later get a call to come pick it up, it is fixed. I take it home, hook it up and WOW, my files are on there, but here is how he gave it to me AFTER I PAID $480.00. My Desktop was NOT restored, he wiped out ALL of my Microsoft Office Products, my Adobe, basically all of my programs were dumped. The guy even MIS-LABELLED the new drive he installed, and still had all saved data directed to the SSD, REALLY? What is the point of using an SSD?Then, to top everything off, after spending HOURS trying to load things back up and essentially start from scratch, I have now found that he installed an UNAUTHORIZED COPY of Windows 10, and it cannot be activated! So, now I get to start FROM SCRATCH, again, and completely set the computer up like it was brand new. I just wish I had read some of these reviews BEFORE I found out the HARD way. WHAT EVER YOU DO, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!
Incompetent service.Brought my laptop in for a new fan dec. 2012. Took a month to get it back to me. The fan he put in was more defective than the one he took out.Took it back in to get a new fan... spent two months ordering fans, getting defective fans.Dan Baker has two phone numbers, but one is an answering machine he never checks and one he routinely does not answer during business hours. I spent over a week trying to get in contact with him after he said my laptop was ready only to come in during office hours two days when he wasn t there, and finally on a third day when he told me that he again had ordered the wrong fan and the laptop wasn t ready.So I asked him to put it back together and give me a refund. Took an hour to put it back together - but flipped the hard drives so it wouldnt work. Spent another 20 minutes fixing the hard drives while I waited, lamenting that it was HP s fault that he ordered defective fans, and then only gave me $45 back. Originally he said it would be $120, then he charged me $180. So I m short $135.Do not frequent this person s business. You won t be able to get a hold of him, and he will make excuses for doing a poor job.
Awful service. Very rude and incompetent. Would not recommend.
