Wow! Truly thoughtful and intentional with the flavors and portions.The shrimp po’boy was fresh and delicious, just the right amount of spice and balance of textures each bite left you wanting more.Things didn’t disappoint here at all.

A little slow getting our drinks and food. But both were good. Pricing reasonable. I guess it was an off day for prompt service.

I can not say enough great things about Doolittles. We are officially regulars, but even at the beginning we were treated like family. The food is amazing, I have yet to experience a bad dish.If youre looking for amazing food, impeccable service and an overall great experience, Doolittles is a must.

This place is a hidden gem. I went back twice in the same week. My waitress Tara the first day and Amy the second both are as sweet as can be kind and attentive not bothersome. Beer is good. The burgers are the best. However the crab cakes are delicious. They make their out hot sweet spicy sauce they use on the Buffalo and shrimp burger. The combination of the blue cheese and the sauce could go on anything. I will always return here.

Gluten free items are marked on the menu. Beyond that, the chef can adjust any selection to fit to dietary needs. They were extremely flexible for us.

Friendly greeting upon entry. Wait staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The food was amazing, delicious and fresh. Highly recommend the “seasonal dessert” too as it’s definitely a specialty. Currently, it was a peanut butter tort. Incredible!

Had a wonderful meal there! Great cozy atmosphere, the food was incredible, and Vivian was a lovely server. Highly recommend the crab & pimento cheese dip with the pretzel - could have made an entire meal of just that. Ill definitely be back!

Just wow! I could not imagine the flavors being any better! I ordered my food for pick up and it was brought out promptly and very fresh. We ordered the crab cake (with corn saute on the side), salmon with garlic mash and green bean sauté, and cheesesteak with broccoli and cheese. I have never tried a real crab cake and I was blown away at how good it was and how much crab meat was in it. I wish I could give this place more stars!

My first time eating here was an absolute success, every part of the experience was splendid, from staff to the quality of food and drinks. My girlfriend had the steak and I tried a piece. I would rate it Andersons best steak for both quality of the meat and flavor of the seasonings used. I had the surf and turf burger and the seasoning of the shrimp paired well with the burger. The menu accommodates all tastes and wants. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a new place to eat or a nice downtown date night.

I literally come to Andersen just to eat at doolittles because I love it so much. However, I was just told by the host that she won’t sit a party of 1 at a booth. Very disappointed considering there were five open booths, the lunch rush is over, and this has never been an issue before. I work in the food & bev industry myself and this isn’t great customer service at all.

1st time there an wasnt impressed. Ordered a simple pasta with shrimp an crab. Looked amazing but only to find a weird taste an noodles were undercooked. Seemed to be no crab to see in my pasta. The quesidilla was amazing though

Doolittle’s was out of the wrap that I usually order, so I decided to try a Reuben sandwich. I wasn’t even sure I liked Reuben, but it was a great decision. The best sandwich I have had in a while! The flavors were perfect and the sandwich was warm and meat was very tender. I will be going back to get another! Also, the outside seating is great!!

We ate here in April right at whats hopefully the end of the Pandemic. This restaurant looks like times have been hard with its flaked off logo on the awning. The food was good, greeter friendly, and a nice waitress took a great picture of us. It is a little too dark inside and much too dark in the restroom. The restroom needs a good cleaning, a new toilet seat, some spackling, and repainting. And more light! Its like a haunted house restroom. They really need to do something about that.Id love to go back in a year and see how far they have come.

My favorite thing would probably be the Sheppards Pie. Especially if you want something comforting and hearty. Their whiskey sours compare to no other restaurant we have tried across the state. (probably because they make their own sour mix with fresh squeezed fruit, Ive seen it with my own eyes) The shrimp and grits are phenomenal as are their Kale Caesar Salads. Honestly any of their seafood is amazing and their specials on Friday are always impressive. This is our go to spot and we are always treated like family along with every other customer that walks through the door. If youre in Anderson you do not want to pass up Doolittles!

Great little place on the main drag with indoor and outdoor seating. Menu is a bit limited, but most are at this current time. Good food at good prices. Server was excellent.

Really bad experience. Asked to eat inside and was told no. They let our pregnant daughter eat inside with her husband but split the rest of us up outside. Wanted a family dinner as we drive 9 hours to see them. Flies were terrible. Counted 20 at one point on our grandsons high chair. Couldn’t keep them off the food. GROSS. Food was OK. Then they ran someone else’s tab on my card but fixed it (I hope) I asked why we had to go outside and was told because of reservations. I get that, but there were NINE open tables when we were split up and the SAME 9 open tables when we left. Spent a decent amount of money for a miserable time.

This is one of my familys go to restaurants in Anderson. To the food is consistently good from the lower costing items to the highest. Daily specials mix up the menu and there are a variety of beers on tap.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. The shrimp po boy was a far cry from NOLA but still really good. The menu had me wanting to come back more than once just to try other items. They have a lot of variety.

Scallops were seared on one side and raw and cold in the middle..The cheese on top of Shepard pie wasnt melted. I guess thats what we get for coming in after 9. We had been traveling all day and was looking forward to a nice meal.

Been there a few times, today was great outside by the fountain. Good food and beverages. Im sure we will be back soon.

Awful food and service. Had the crab cake and fish and chips. The crab cake is the smallest I’ve ever seen and the side dishes are frozen then microwaved and put on plate (you could see by the shape it was out of a microwave dish). I saw all the good reviews and thought it would be a good place for lunch. Obviously I was wrong. I’ve never had such tasteless food in my life. Service was slow. Took over an hour to get our food and we didn’t order appetizers or anything. Just entrees. I’d give it -10 stars if I could. Waste of money.

Very good experience here overall most of the time. The only thing that was ever wrong with one time with the creme brulee it was undercooked. Otherwise great experience and very attentive staff!

The service was a little slow, but the food was awesome, and they have a good variety of food. They have also done a good job of keeping the historic nature of the building.

If you think you have had crab cakes, think and taste again. Doolittle’s ARE Maryland crab cakes - the best! Braised cabbage? What a great surprise. We like to take our dog to to nicer places as well and she was very welcomed at the outside dinning area - off street. Highly recommend Doolittle

Cozy pub in downtown Anderson. I had the Wednesday special Chicken Schnitzel with caramelized onion mashed potatoes, and my daughter had the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious and perfectly sized for lunch. Service was warm and attentive. I would eat there again and again!!

Great place to eat. Wife LOVED the crabcake sandwich and I enjoyed the steak and cheese. The homemade cut fries are perfect.

Extremely long wait for Saturday lunch time,short handed and food wasnt seasoned and burger was overcooked and nephews burger was cooked the way i wanted mine.The menu has many good looking items but i wasnt impressed even though my mom recommended it.

This was my first experience and overall it was good. Our server was the most amazing part! I had the fish and chips and mac and cheese. I wasnt impressed with the mac and cheese but the food was hot and didnt take long to get to the table.

Fantastic experience. We were seated at Hollys table and she took fantastic care of us. It was our first time visit Doolittles but we will be back. The soup, the surf and turf burger, the chicken salad sandwich, and the quesadilla were all great for the entire family. Drinks were refilled constantly. The atmosphere is great.

Their food is great. The service is very good. Its a cozy spot for dinner with friends or your significant other.

Delicious food - especially the she crab soup! Great location with both indoor and outdoor options available. The bar staff are great at mixing up tasty and creative cocktails. The owner is also a generous man with a big heart for community. We love Doolittles and wish we could eat there more often.

Solid spot for a nice solo lunch. Waitress was very friendly and made some great suggestions. The crab cake and garlic mash were delicious. The Mac and cheese was not my favorite, it reminded me too much of the “boxed” kind. Will have to try again when I’m in town.

Wonderful! They hosted our companys Christmas party, and it was perfect. All the food was amazing, and the set up was beautiful. Amy did an amazing job organizing everything, too! We couldnt have asked for more!

Easy to find in downtown. It was our first time here so we wanted to try different dishes. My husband and I ordered the Sirloin steak and potato bleu cheese salad, a crab cake sandwich with potato salad. My daughter ordered a philly cheese steak with she-crab soup. We asked to split the salad and crab cake dishes, which they did-right down to the remoulade sauce (see pic) 😂. The steak & potato salad was delicious! It was thin sliced sirloin on a bed of greens with walnuts & cranberries topped with fries, onion straws and blue cheese crumbles. The crab cake sandwich was excellent as well with the spicy remoulade served on the side so you can decide how much spice you like. The potato salad was different from traditional recipes. It had cubed potatoes with thyme & other spices. Slight smoked paprika flavor, which I liked. My daughter enjoyed her philly cheese sandwich & she-crab soup as well. Service was reasonable for a busy Sunday after-church lunch. Glad we tried this place!

Such a great place, great staff and atmosphere. Crab and pimento cheese dip is the best thing ever. Shrimp pizza boi is also another hit for me. The staff makes you feel like family and it’s definitely one of downtowns best restaurants.

Their barbeque surf and turf burger is the bomb! I recommend it to anyone who likes shrimp on a burger.

Outdoor seating on a gorgeous evening with beautiful Anderson all around- fantastic! Very good food. Service was good. We have seen outdoor service not great at many locations when staff try to serve indoors and outside. You tend to get forgotten outside.

Our waitress was so nice, very chatty and had great suggestions. I got the crab cake sandwich and it was fantastic! I got the she crab soup with it and it was really good as well. I cant wait to go back and try more things on their menu.

We have been going to Doolittles as our go-to spot for about 5 years now. We really enjoy the server Alice but sadly we also have dealt with some rude staff periodically.As for the food, we really enjoy it. Were not very picky eaters but I really love their Ruben with sweet potato fries. Also the shecrab soup is wonderful.The ambiance is very relaxed and probably a huge bonus to why we frequent this place monthly, easily. Sometimes they have a solo singer and it almost always is enjoyable. There have been times that the singer has been well received and gets a room full of applauds. It can get really crowded at times but is worth it.

Our first experience left more to be desired. The crab pimento dip was like a sweet cheddar cheese that sat under a heat lamp served with a bagel . Chicken thighs were undercooked. The burger and fries were good. The crab cake sandwich had a good crab cake but the rest of the sandwich was not great. Alice was fantastic but the other bartender that followed was non attentive. Broccoli was the best part. Wasn’t worth an almost $100 check.

My wife and I spent the weekend i Anderson and decided to swing by Dolittles. Great atmosphere, awesome service and food.

The food was great, as always. However, it was raining and we had to sit inside. Even though there was only three groups of two people, the waitress jammed us all together in one corner just a few feet apart. I was not comfortable with that and will not return until I feel safe to eat there.

First of all, our waitress was doing the best she could under the circumstances. This was our 1st time visiting this establishment and we really wanted to like it but unfortunately we sat there for 20 mins before anyone took our order and then it was over a hour before we received our food. On top of that, my husband ordered steak with two sides and both sides were completely cold, not even luke warm. He couldnt eat the steak b/c it was too chewy and he is not a picky individual by any means. I asked the waitress to notify the kitchen about the problem but nothing was done about it, so we just paid and left. Really disappointed 😞
