It’s a great place to take scrap metal! Their prices are up to date and I enjoy being able to pull in the scale weigh my tin and number 1 steel unload and go. The people are generally friendly the workers are friendly! All around I do recommend taking scrap here to make a few extra bucks in your pocket! Just be careful it’s heavy traffic inside and sometimes you will pick up a nail or 2 in your tire or get a bump into by another vehicle (thankfully you have to be slow so it’s usually a light tap we got tapped today when we took scrap in)

Brought a catalytic converter here and was told it was a pej3 that was clearly no it was a pe18 when I brought it up to the guy he told me I do this wor a living so I know what it is you dont take it or leave it and was told it was worth 20 dollars. brought to another place and got 320 dollars for it will never go back.

This was our first time recycling any metal. The guy up front couldn’t be bothered to run through how the process works, he just wanted to watch his movie. He told my wife to drive to the scale, unload, and re-weigh the vehicle. As she was doing that, one of the guys in the back told her the copper, brass, etc should be weighed separately as they fetch a higher rate. By this point she had already thrown copper in the pile and wasn’t able to reach it to claim it. The guys in the back were great. At the end, the guy at the front desk was MIA, so the car was never re-weighed, and we didn’t get credit for the less valuable metals. Not a great experience for a new person.

My experience with EMR has been top-notch I deal with Tom who is one of their field supervisors who prices out the contractors for commercial jobs hes polite honest and sincere about the way he talks to me as a contractor and I highly respect that hes never raises Towing to me ever even if there was an off-day but life will bring these two us has trials a testing of our faith which produces perseverance so I have nothing better to say than to give MMR and their employees a 5-star rating thank you Tom for all you do and your team

Great yard, nice that it is all concreted, no mud mess. Helpful and hardworking employees. Receipts are easy to read and understand what your metal weighs and how much you are being paid per pound. Good system similar to an ATM to receive your payment for your metal. I would definitely recommend selling your unwanted scrap metal to EMR Allentown Pa location

-$40 or +$4 cash?! I took my 2 old Air Conditioner units to EMR scrap yard instead of paying the City of Allentown to pick them up. (Id have to move them to the corner myself anyway, might as well move them to my trunk.) Super helpful, friendly workers and easy process! One sign said no freon but the nice man said hed break it down for recycling.

I have been going here for the past six months with my cousin and every trip was great. The staff is super friendly, especially the young dude in the blue building. The ATM setup is awesome. I dont trust the other yards in town, they seem shady and are not nearly as professional.

Everytime I go to EMR I end up with nails in mi tires!I was told if I didn’t like it to go somewhere else! Millions of nailsI.When I sold my copper and aluminum I was forced to take metals to designated bins myself after it was weighed with no help. Place is terrible compared to other yards ie Tampa.

The place is constantly closing before the posted time they have the gates most days close about 3 45 3 50 even though the posted time says 4 oclock you get there at 3 55 3 50 doors already closed theyre gone

The prices are far below the market value 4 copper aluminum and brass. Aluminum they were showing $0.40 to $0.60 a pound they gave me...$.30 and so on also lot of debris in the driving areas things were cracking and snapping as I drove concerned about my tires didnt pop but wont go back.
