This is the first time I have used oil heating. This is also my first home. Jose did the tune up of my furnace always quick friendly and professional. Brian came yesterday to fix my radiator, quick friendly and just great service. I called them at 9 am they were here at 3:30 the same day. I will always recommend Petro
Highly recommend Petro for your heating and oil services. They offer monthly budget plans and automatic deliveries so you don’t have to worry about running out of oil. In addition I had a tune up done yesterday the appointment was scheduled for the technicians to come between 12-3, they were here at exactly 12 and made necessary recommendations for further cleanings.
The worst service I have ever seen.Contract with Petro is useless. Only ads are good, for service its waste of money.This one star, have to select by defauly. Otherwise its 0 star.....

We moved into our home in December, 2019. Petro was already servicing this property. On coldest day of the winter, our tanks ran out of gas and Petro was very responsive in getting someone out to the property to fill our tanks. If you are new to propane, make sure you get clearly from their customer service what is expected from you as their customer. While I was proactive in setting up an account and getting them information, I was unfamiliar with their terminology and requirements thus the issue of tanks running out of gas. Initial billings/understanding how Petro actually works caused initial frustration as well. Once these were worked out, we have been very satisfied and happy with the Service, professionalism of the service work provided and service people who have worked with us to provide information and additional consultations. We continue to be loyal customers.
The technician came on time and was nice. He was knowledgeable and found the issue with our Carrier heat pump.Suggestion:It was somewhat wet outside and with all the going in and out I wish he would have had disposable booties so the dirt/wetness did not come in throughout our house. Our Ehrlich technician has these booties and they work great.
Communication is awesome. From appointment confirmation emails to text notifications announcing service technician arrival, Petro keeps you in the loop. Service repairs are quick and cleanup is something that is NOT forgotten. I would highly recommend.
Terrible service from petrol home oil company this evening I just bought a home in needed some service and maintenance on my tank and oil and I stayed on the phone for 45 minutes without any response but a broken head set that I couldnt even hear the sales person and then because I asked her to speak up so many times she eventually just hung up then I call back in top to a gentleman when he took my information instead they would Call in the morning but I am most definitely gonna ask to speak to a supervisor to speak about the poor service that it took 45 minutes in no progress at all for oil thank you
Had no hot water at 11:15 PM. Phoned Petro for service., which was ordered immediately.Two hours later, serviceman Phil arrived, after driving from 35 miles away. He immediately identified the problem, promptly installed a new pump, and hot water was restored within minutes. Phil was very polite and efficient.
Always great service. They pick up the call and set the appointment quickly. The service techs are always very knowledgeable and efficient.

I had to call last night because I could smell oil,since our furnace was just cleaned and serviced a week ago I was concerned. They had a technician at my house within the hour. And he found the problem. Its nice to know you can call them anytime day or night and be treated and taken care of with care and concern
I’m grateful to have a service agreement with Petro services. The technician arrived in the allotted time slot and promptly fixed my hot water and all covered under the agreement! The best thing was it was on a Sunday with no charge! Thank you petro!

I have had Petro for oil for a few years. I recently had a little issue and they took care of it quickly. They a have really good service contact, which Ive used. Supportive customer service, reliable delivery.
We had a problem with our furnace & didn’t have any heat/hot water. I called for service & they had a repairman out to our house within a couple of hours! Great service...great company!!

Very dissatisfied with Petro. We opened an account because we recently moved into a rental property that quickly needed an oil delivery. We were told they would come and deliver enough to last a few days and would be out again to provide a full delivery. After the first emergency deliver of 10 gallons which cost us over $200, there was no communication except for a quick sign here and then the departure of the technician. Nobody showed back up to deliver the next round of oil. We call back and are told our piping was not up to code and they could not deliver a full tank until the piping was changed but that they would come back and deliver another 10 gallons since we were again out. Note, this was not told to anyone during the first delivery. Because there was this lack of communication, the customer service department told us they would not charge us the emergency delivery fee. Meanwhile, we contacted our landlord who tells us Pipeline Petroleum has been the service provider for the home, that its serviced every year, and there are no issues. So, Petro comes back out and delivers the next 10 gallons prepared to charge us another $200+ (including the emergency delivery charge). We tell the technician we are not supposed to be charged for this and he says there is no note on the account to discuss this. He eventually waives the emergency fee. We contact Pipeline Petroleum, they come straight out and deliver 150 gallons, no problem. Fast forward to today when we tried to close our account with Petro. It took 3 different phone calls (after being hung up on twice), talking to EIGHT different people (mind you we asked for a manager after speaking to person number 7, who still didnt transfer us to the manager but instead to the credit department again), and over 40 minutes to simply CANCEL the account. After we were entirely clear we wanted to cancel the account we were told we needed to speak to the loyalty department. Okay? Fine, but we cant change anything that you guys cant deliver our oil! She says she is going to transfer us and we get hung up on. We call back. Give all of our information all over again. Get transferred to the loyalty department. We speak to them and clear up the fact that we are canceling because they wont deliver oil to us as our piping stands, and its not our home so we cant authorize them to change out the piping. They finally accept this explanation and give us a confirmation number and say they need to transfer us to the credit department to find out when we get our $500 security deposit back. Fine. We speak to them. They tell us they can send it once the account is canceled. Huh? We explain we have just canceled the account and have been given a confirmation number. We are told yes, but, someone will need to call us back either today or tomorrow or sometime to just be sure we want to cancel. Im sorry... what?! Yes, were sure we want to cancel! Theres not even a choice in the matter. So we ask to speak to whoever it is we need to speak to now, since we work and this was our lunch break, and we may not be available later and in the middle of being transferred we get hung up on... again. We call back. Explain the situation and demand to speak to a manager. She tells us she is transferring us. We wait for approximately 7 minutes to have the phone answered by Taumir (sp?) In the credit department. We ask if he is a manager. No. Okay. He apologizes profusely for our experiences today and finally is able to confirm the account is canceled, no further phone calls needed, and the security deposit should be reversed in the next day or two. THANK YOU TAUMIR. Petro. Woah. This was an absolute disaster working with you guys. I sincerely hope you educate your staff or put policies in place that make sense. We had a service need on A Sunday... a call was made to the service line. Within 15 minutes the service request had been confirmed and the service person notified. He came within 45 minutes, assessed and repaired the problem and was gone 30 minutes later. Problem was solved and everything works great.Thanks PETRO!! ...for your great service.
Stay away from this company. All they care about is money. They promised us a $100 credit toward our heating oil and took away the $100 credit since they said we can no longer deliver oil to your home until you replace your oil tank. We had our heating system serviced through them and the technician smelled like he poured oil all over himself, spilled oil on my carpet and didnt clean it up, and replaced parts on my furnace without me knowing that he replaced them. Now they want all of the money pronto and will not give me the credit I was promised. I found another oil company that said my oil tank is fine and is delivering oil to me. Im a very upset customer and feel that they are scam artists.

I had a biannual service( also cleaning) on my furnace on a Thursday - but on Friday nite the system shut down which we didnt notice until Friday nite about 10pm.I tried calling the only phone number I had for Petro, but no one answered. ( I was later told that they claim to be 24 coverage) The next am I called to place a service call to figure out why I had no heat. About 1pm a technician came to the house and troubleshot the system to correct the problem which was a cloudy eye on the system, then all was well. Why wasnt this picked up on the annual cleaning?
Worst scam I’ve ever been a part of. Ran out of gas because they don’t come unless you call them... I called them just get told that I shouldn’t be out of gas because their computer said so... had to pay $300 for them to come tell me I needed gas after they made me call the fire department to fill my steeet to check for leaks.. there was no leaks.. charged an additional $300 for propane totaling $600 in 1 month.. less than 30 days later, I’m out of propane.. they want an additional $70 to come tell me I need propane or I can “purchase” another thank from them. What!?? Who charges someone to be a loyal customer and penalizes them for wanting to spend more money with them?? That’s rediculous.. switched to Sullivan. Sullivan even offered to thaw my pipes because my pipes froze from having no heat. Would never recommend such a joke of a company.

If you call for air conditioning service make sure they send a tech who knows all about your equipment. It took 3 visits to diagnose the problem correctly & a 4th visit to fix our problem. The 3rd & 4th visit techs get a 5 star rating from us. I wont rate the 1st & 2nd techs because they were not trained properly. Petro needs to train all of their techs how to fix the equipment they sell.

Called at 12:30 am spoke to someone elainedlsined my current situation he told me they will be in touch with me,they said someone will be there within the hour they called back and said the technician will be coming do to a major problem on the previous service call,he said they will be the next morning I said that would be fine they did arrive that morning and fixed the problem.Was very satisfied. Was in a auto payment plan for over a year. Due to an error on Petro s side they canceled my auto payment...clerical error... BUT they refused to assist after my $151/month bill was not taken from auto pay...their error...now I owe over $540.....,their error but they refuse to help rectify their mistake!! Not a customer friendly

Their site says 24 hour emergency plumbing repair service. I call at 10:30 AM on a Saturday and was told they dont do plumbing on the weekends.Please update your website to say you only have 24 hour emergency plumbing repair during weekday business hours.... Misleading advertising
