This salon’s is absolutely amazing!! I went there with my friend to get our prom hair and makeup done together!! First thing I noticed was the amazing vibe this salon has. It’s very neat, clean and tidy and I felt comfortable even during this pandemic. The music compliments the relaxing vibe. Second of all, the staff was very kind and generous to me. They’re all very caring and take their customers feelings and opinions seriously! Not only that but the outcome was stunning! When my friend and I got to the venue for prom everyone was wowed by our makeup!! We ourselves felt amazing as well!! I truly recommend this salon as it was one of my best experiences. Thank you!!

I actually drove a little bit to get there as I didnt know that they had another location closer to me, but my friend recommended it and I was desperate to find a great stylist. My hair is dark and coarse and sometimes stylists struggle with coloring and highlighting my hair. Its more of an issue as Im getting older.Booked my appointment, which was super easy and the receptionist was super friendly and answered all of my questions. When I went in, my stylist Julie was funny and thoughtful and asked me tones of questions about my hair (things I had never thought about.) I left with a beautiful hair color, exactly what I wanted! I also made an appointment for a haircut before I left, super excited about it

You know I was going to try to be gracious about this and not submit a review but the more I think about it the more upset I continually get. I just fixed my hair for about the 10th time and words just cant express how disappointed I am in the haircut that I got as a first time client with the salon. I sat in the stylists chair and I told her I wanted a blunt shoulder-length Bob with lots of layers so I can still wear my hair curly then I showed her a picture of the actress Sarah hylands lob for visual. I take my glasses off after that I couldnt see anything until it was too late but she cut my hair even with my earlobes the back is actually longer than the front which is the opposite of a bob or lob in any definition the back is always supposed to be shorter than the front. The stylist even tried to say that she did exactly what the picture showed and I showed her the picture again and she realized that she had messed up I sat in the chair in awkward silence trying to crack a joke or two to keep myself from crying. I didnt make a big fuss because I wanted out of there quickly I was about to burst into tears but they had me pay full price for what she did to me and after she walked away the woman at the register asked if I was happy and I told her no I didnt get what I asked for at all and she offered me a complimentary hair treatment service but honestly I dont feel like I should have had to pay. I went home and cried for the next three days on Monday I finally got up and went to a wig store and bought a wig to cover up what has been done to me. When I dont have the time to get the wig on right I have to at least keep the front of my hair pinned back because it looks so bad against my face because of the length of it. Im a big woman and I have a double chin and a cut even with my earlobes does not look okay in any capacity. I picked this place because of all the good Google reviews but obviously whoever is leaving reviews didnt get their haircut by the lady I went to. after sitting in her chair I firmly believe that she is more concerned with her own appearance than what she does to the people sitting in her chair. This woman has ruined my hair which has ruined my social life for at least the next two months. I am furious and now Im out a lot of money for something that I didnt want and Im sorry a complimentary hair treatment isnt good enough. its a sweet thought but I shouldnt have been made to pay for something that caused me to go home and cry for the next three days. if I known she was going to do this to my hair I would have paid her to not touch it.

I get my hair cut by Jak! She is awesome! She cuts my husband’s and my hair. She never disappoints. This salon is very clean and professional. They use luxury products and really provide a relaxing environment. You get what you pay for and then some!

First time coming to this Salon! My sister and I, both, needed haircuts. Scheduled a same day appointment. Both of our hair stylists were great!! We showed them pictures of the hair cuts we wanted and they did great!! I feel like my hair could have been washed better by taking more time but it wasn’t a big deal. All the people that worked there were super nice!! I will definitely be coming here for my hair needs from now on.

I had been looking for a new salon “home” and I am SO glad I found Vetta at Jovie Salon. She did a spiral perm and haircut for me and it is PERFECT! She was a pleasure to visit with during the appointment and the entire salon staff was so welcoming. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend!!

I visited this place for a hair color, almost had 15-20 mins consultation initially because this is my first time ever coloring though I used Henna prior which was 6-8 months back and I had a few questions on the type of color that would suit my hair, chemicals in the color etc as my hair is on a darker shade. I asked for partial highlights with the darkest red/burgandy possible without a bleach. The lady showed me a few pictures on how my final look would be with Burgandy/dark red and I was impressed, so decided to give it a shot. After a 2.5 hrs process, all I see is my original hair with just blow dry and wash. Now they say that my original hair color was the cause their colors did not show. I have attached my before and after pictures. To note: I asked for deep red/Burgandy partial highlights. Please let me know if anyone can see any highlights on my after pic here. They knew I wasnt happy and all they said was to come back for another session after 2 weeks but I will have to pay the entire charge again. I am not going to waste another 160$ for nothing. They are highly priced and when you do not see the results needed, they do not try to fix it.

Definitely my new salon! Professional and friendly, and they clearly know their stuff. Both of my girls had problem hair. Alex is a miracle worker, she did a great job of helping them pick a color & style that suited them. They turned out feeling incredible and looking gorgeous!!

Ive been styled by Jordan here at Jovie for 4 years going on 5. I finally convinced my husband to come in for his cut and style. We were able to book with Jordan pretty last minute. His hair has never looked better! Hes always been handsome but Jordan was able to highlight those dreamy looks to perfection. Bonus, theyre not over priced. I would say that for the skills and the service that you get that is worth every penny and more.

I was pressured into buying hair shampoo, conditioner and gel and after spending $100 on them, it made my hair rough and dry . I contacted them regarding this and they refused any returns. Very unhappy . They just lost a customer

I love Jovie Salon! Ive been to several of their locations and they are all so welcoming and inviting. Of course, my favorite part of my experience is my stylist, Jak! She takes such good care of me and my hair. She takes the time to make sure Im happy with my cut and she listens to all of questions. She is very knowledgeable about the products she uses, and she explains how they benefit my hair, but she isnt pushy about it. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great experience!

Jovie Salon will not provide the experience and service that should be automatic considering their high prices. I nearly paid $320. These expensive prices call for two things: good service and good experience. Overall, I can confidently say I received neither of these.I will start by commending the haircut I received. I was fine with that. After my haircut I asked for a full medium-brown dye of my hair to cover my roots and regain my natural hair color. I also asked for low-lights. My stylist ONLY added so-called “low-lights” to a couple strands of hair and called it a day. I know low-lights are meant to be more subtle, but mine were virtually nonexistent. This mediocre dying job cost $175 overall.More importantly, I called the salon to voice my concerns. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a hair salon. I was a dissatisfied customer and wanted them to bring my hair up to my own standards. This seemed reasonable to me. Instead of addressing my concerns, they fired me as their client. They told me that they “couldn’t meet my needs” and would “return my money”. They were rude and dismissive.Apparently it’s the customer’s fault they didn’t do a satisfactory job. Regardless of the nice haircut, the failure to acknowledge and accept my concerns is a sure sign of poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. Rather than antagonizing the customer, they should help fix the problem. I would not recommend Jovie Salon to anybody.

I had a haircut with Jak and she did a fantastic job! She cut my hair just how I was wanting it and she managed to get all the damaged hair off too! Im very happy with my new hairstyle :) I actually can wear it down again!

I love Jak. Ive lived in Texas for 8 yrs and finally found a stylist that knows how to cut my thick curly hair. She listens and does not ever pressure me to straighten it like so many stylists always do. I moved to Wylie and still drive 30 minutes to see her. Awesome atmosphere and everyone is always so friendly.

Kim is a very professional hairstylist and does a great job providing me with a haircut that fits me. She takes the hairstyle i have in mind and makes it work for me. Im always satisfied when it comes to getting my haircut, dying my all my hair or getting highlights with her. Would 100% recommend asking for her next time you want to do anything with your hair.

I first came here after getting a botched haircut from a cheap hair salon and was so happy with the results. Jak’s knowledge and experience about hair had been so impressive to me and I would not be exaggerating when I say she knows hair better than anyone I’ve met. I love the atmosphere of this place. The first time I came here for a haircut and style was better than my second. I have left a review of my experience for the other Jovie Salon location, so if you want to view that one you can. The second time I was told over the phone that I had to go to this location due to the air conditioner in McKinney not working. I was also told that the person I requested to cut my hair no longer worked there. I was placed with someone in the same level as him. However, the haircut seemed great until I realized my bangs were cut unevenly. She parted it in the middle and they were still about an inch and a half shorter on one side. I usually pull these parts down when I put my hair up so I don’t look like I have no hair from the front, but it bothered me for months how uneven they were. I waited and went to a different salon within close proximity of my home. My bangs are no longer uneven. I just figured the haircut for the price would be more worth it. I appreciate everything about this business, but the entire head should be even if it is requested that way. UPDATE: I have been called and apologized to by the regional manager which is why I’m giving this salon 5 stars. Most businesses would not care to do this and I really appreciate their effort in making sure their customers are satisfied and taken care of. Other salons should strive to be like Jovie. I will definitely come back another time. Thank you for your exceptional service.

I have visited both Jovie salons in McKinney and Allen. Both were extremely clean, and everyone was welcoming. My stylist Jordan always goes above and beyond to make sure that I am comfortable, satisfied, and gives me exactly what I ask for. There was a time when I was unsure of what i wanted exactly, and she walked me through the whole process and we decided a perfect plan to get my hair where I wanted it without any pressure or confusion. I would recommend Jovie AND Jordan to everyone! I always look forward to getting my hair done these days as it is a treat and not a hassle!

I had a great experience with Clevetta. I went for a Demi permanent hair color (bleached hair back to brown) and I loved it. The color still looks great even after a lot of washes (more than 2 months!). Clevetta was very professional and friendly. Will definitely come back.

I never really thought too much about my hair; I try to keep it short and appropriate for business. Today was my first visit at Jovi Salon. My stylist was Jak. She was so great. I went in wanting a new style. I showed her a couple of pictures of what I was going for. Her excitement and confidence made me feel comfortable in my decision for a change. Wow, she did not disappoint! I LOVE my hair. She did EXACTLY what I wanted. I can’t remember ever walking out of a salon and being as happy as I was today. I seriously can’t stop looking at it. I found my new salon and stylist. Thank you Jak! I love love love my hair!

Don’t know what went wrong with my stylist but she cut my hair uneven!! 1 inch shorter on one side and she stated that she got promoted ??? I have been regular and like the outcome before but cutting so uneven is a BIG error. Had to go back and get It fixed by another stylist. She did an awesome job and should have the full tip I gave the first stylist, hope she is doing the right thing. I now have much shorter hair then I wanted and I will never go back here. Super disappointed.

Never had Such a bad hair cut for 60 bucks. Hair stylist did not blow my hairs properly, all the cut hairs were on my dress and car seat ! ..... I asked for layers, she gave me one layer 😨.... Then she tried to fix it, but by then damage to my hair style was already done . Now I need to wait for another 2 to 3 months grow back my hair and fix the style ☹️. Would never go back .Update: thank you Amanda for reaching out and fixing my hair. Appreciate the professionalism and putting customers first attitude.

I was born and raised in texas but now live in Florida. And Jovie is the only place I really trust with my hair. Every time I come to visit I stop by Jovie first thing. Everyone here is like family and they treat you that way. They all have magic hands I swear. Jordan always makes me feel like a million bucks when I leave.

Love Jovie Salon! I found the salon when driving on my way to school in McKinney and decided I needed a haircut. Great service and awesome haircut. I already told my mom and sisters about it! There was a lot of people there when I went in, was worried about not getting in, but they fit me in for an appointment and I couldnt be happier.
