I called to ask if a certain nail technician was there. They replied no. I asked to make an appointment for Friday. They said I could come in today. I said ok I’m on the way. When I get there they asked me to come back another time cause “we are busy”. I have been to this spa before and enjoyed my time. I don’t live close and thought I would treat myself before going home. Why invite me to come in then turn around and send me away saying you’re busy. Wouldn’t you have told me on the phone when I called.

Great care and attention to detail. I dont think my nails have ever been so clean. Not inexpensive, but definitely worth a visit.

Had full highlights done, she never toned my hair and I payed for it. I mentioned it and they did not want to fix it. They rushed my hair because another client was waiting, my highlights came out awful. I came back to get them fixed again, she told me she could not go through each part of my hair to fix the highlight...even though I was willing to pay again for the service. She said “it can’t be done” and I said “it can be done, you are just lazy to do it” and I walked out. Don’t go there, waste of money!

I’ve tried coming here a few times because it’s so close to me but every single time I’ve come there’s an issue with my reservation in the system. They either can’t find me or the service they have me scheduled for isn’t right which is super annoying to deal with upon check out. I’d rather pay more and drive farther to a place with better service than deal with that level of disorganization ever again.

I’ve been going here for almost 10 years. Hands down the cleanest, salon I have visited before and during Covid! Appointments made via app, temperature checks as you walk through the door, plexiglass up, social distance between customers. You can’t get any better!

I tried new Color Dazzle Dry 2 weeks ago, still look very good! No chipping.My nails feel stronger. Its hypoallergenic, non-toxic, vegan, cruelty free.Beautiful place, friendly! Should try it.

I got the best short haircut from Kim. I have short curly/wavy hair and my cut turned out beautifully.

I went in asking for a full set. While taking off my old set, the lady was very rough and broke two of my real nails. I asked for a medium length almond shape nail and she gave me very short nails instead. When I told her I wanted them longer, she said it was too late and i had to deal with the very short length. I also asked for a simple black and white design to which she said she couldn’t do, so I had to get just plain white. The nail polish seemed to move and create lines while drying too. Waste of money.

Solace Spa has very poor customer service.I had my white blouse colored black.Soaking wet from neck, side to side of my shoulders to the waist line.Katie only took the hair dryer in her hand, another customer came and told me to go dry my self in the bathroom, and wash my blouse at home right away. A good thing I had brought an extra blouse with me in case of getting wet. The blouse is totally ruined. The blouse very wet and water was dripping down as if it was taken out of a bucket and 28 degrees outside and I suppose to walk to my car under this horrible condition.The disaster did not STOP here, my hair was colored black and I am light brunette.I mentioned to Katie that it is too black as soon as she had washed my hair. Katie said once she dries my hair it would go to gold, but never did.High lights look as if I had them done eight months ago. Then one more mishap with the bill. I was told that I would receive 20% discount and also had a gift card. The cashier only gave 10% and took my gift card. Another woman comes and says I did not pay as I was about to depart. I said here is the receipt of my credit card and then she said that cannot be done this way.My skull was burning had to run to a friend’s home to wash my skull.I am black jet and not light brunette or light blond and just a less than thin high lights that begin half way from my hair downVery poor horrible customer service and experienceThe massage and the cleaning lady are the nicest and best and the only professionals at the Solace Spa.I would not recommend this place for nothing except the massage.Paying to be abused and leave very disappointed and extremely unhappy.I would never go back to Solace Spa.

Probably the worst pedicure I have ever had. He only took about 20 minutes and that was with a 10 minute soak. Put lotion on but not any kind of massage. The sister salon is much better. Go to the nail salon instead!

Customer Service, Ms Jewell fantastic very professional and kind. The person she gave us to do a manicure and pedicure was very nice, Ms Helan. But her work was terrible. She drilled Moms toe nail to thin and didnt smooth it out the nail cracked. She didnt put lotion or oil on Moms legs until I showed her the dry skin. It took a while for them to find the correct color. They were not very welcoming at all. She did not trim cuticle on manicure or pedicure. She gave Mom a sorry looking polish job. Mom smeared a nail. She repainted the nail, and left the smeared polish on her finger, the skin. Would love to attach pics. Will never go back.

She told me to put my feet in the water for the pedicure and the water was scalding hot. she laughed. i reiterated that it was too hot and then she felt it and apologized. she then pressed the buttons for the chair to do the massage, it didnt work. she kept pushing the buttons and laughing. i told her again it wasnt working. i asked her if we could move and she ignored me. for the prices it was not worth the experience.

My massage experience was awesome. Don is amazing and makes you very comfortable. I get a massage often and this place is one of the best. I love the clean restroom, sauna, shower, lockers, robes, etc. It is a very classy establishment. I wish I had more money, I would get a massage by Don every day!

I have been going to Solace for 9 years. I have always been pleased. I have had facials, waxing, massages, gel nails, manicures, pedicures and my hair washed and blown dry. Over the years I have had many different employees help me. They have all been very nice to me and have done nice work as well. I readily recommend Solace all the time.

I was able to make a walk in appointment and receive a great hour massage; very pleased with the ease of of setting this up as a walk in. Nicole did a wonderful job, focusing on the areas that I asked of her, and adjusting pressure intuitively. The reception and check out processes were easy, very polite and friendly staff. I was pleased with the shower and steam room access, an unexpected bonus. Thanks for providing a military discount as well, much appreciated. I purchased a gift certificate while on site for a friend and plan to return myself soon.

This place is usually good to me..but I dont know what happened today. I called in ahead of time for a full set. They said they werent busy and I could walk in.. so I did. Got my tech and told him I wanted a full set gel. He sits down and takes off my old set from 3 weeks prior. Asking no questions until the end. And he says what shape u want. I say casket n go to pull up a picture. He walks away n satsnhold on because I dont do full sets. Only gel manicure. So I patiently wait for about 40 minutes and noone comes. But I see people getting finished and go to the back. I arrive at 10:45. Its now 12 and my nail look terrible and I have to go to work. The manager says, oh she will be out here in a minute. I wait a little longer and still noone comes. When u get ready to walk out shes like, oh can you come back tomorrow. Im like no, this is my only day going in late. Very disappointed.

I thought Id support neighborhood business and scheduled an appointment for a haircut. I was told all stylist had a least 10 years of experience. When I arrived I explained to my stylist that I wanted just a trim to clean up the cut I already had. I said I wanted to the same style I currently had because I liked it a lot. I couldnt tell if the stylist understood what I was telling her English was hard to understand. So, I showed her a picture of the cut I had in mind and explained again that I just wanted a trim. When she finished my hair was a lot shorter than expected and it was a bob! Not similar at all to my regular style. Then after my hair was dry she started to cut off more and when I asked her what she was doing she said it was crooked so she had to fix it and then she starting to thin my hair. I made her stop. I was a very poor experience and for $50. I can go to Sugar House in Old Town and get the results I want. I will never go back!

Good place, however they dont let u add the tip on a credit card transactions. Seems a bit shady that they possibly want to avoid paying taxes on tip. Please correct this.

I got my nails done there today i liked the color a lil the nail polish is very delicate i got home and i was helping me mom with the food and i accidentally scared my nail a little and the nail polish comes of easily

Can’t keep appointments. Don’t go here. I was drawn to this place because it was a full service salon and it was close to my house. The first time I went here they had completely lost my appointment but they were eventually able to get me in and did a decent job so I gave them another shot. Today I went to my appointment and they eventually found it in the computer had me sit down and wait 20 minutes beyond my appointment time. When I went to complain the receptionist told me the lady had taken another client and to keep waiting. I was furious. I had been a early to my appointment and she took another client?! They also never asked me if they could get me a water or anything else to drink. I will never be going here again.

Was able to get a last minute appointment and they did a good job with underarm waxing.

Ive been here over 10 times to do my nails and pick a different person everytime because Ive left disappointed every time hoping the next one will be better but apparently it took me too long. It seems this place employees without previous experience so basically train while they earn. Ive attached pix as proof of how bad the work is.

Dont go here ever! The guy who did my nails did a horrible job! They are all very different,in a bad way. Some nails are longer than the others, some arent even squared. He even cut up my fingers in the process of doing my nails. I am so disappointed that my nails came out horrible and they cost me $30 to get them done. The only good thing about this place is the lady who waxed my eyebrows did an awesome job. I will never go back here and I dont recommend anyone else go here.

My gel refill looks good, but the lady, Susan, who did my nails was very rude and impatient. She used her own nails to push my cuticles back and drew blood while filing one of my nails. I went to this spa to have a relaxing time, but I ended up having to say “Stop, you’re hurting me” repeatedly to someone who was careless about doing their job.

I had a 50 dollar gift card from my mother in law so I decided to pay them a visit. Omg I had a gel acrylic manicure done by the lady who sits in the middle of the second row and I have to say that it was rushed as hell. I asked for diamond shape- nails came out horribly shaped. I had to go to my usual salon to get it redone. Save your money and go to Beautiful Nails at Landmark instead.

Great service--that means courteous, kind, helpful, and not pushy.Prices--high, but the services are worth the extra dollars. I am a fan of the signature pedi ($65), which takes a full hour and includes multiple massages, oils, wax, buffing, scrubbing, grating, etc. The chairs are excellent, too.My favorite part about this place is that they take their time...even offer a beverage...with ease and care.I will say that their service menu is a mess--$4 to clip nails, $3 to repair, $7 for designs on two big toes. Madness.Ill stick to the signature pedi.

Went in for manicure and wax. Asked the nail guy to even them but not to worry with my index fingers. He cut my nails so short, manicure took 15 min to do everything. I had to leave I wasnt going to let them touch my face!

The front desk crew and masseuses at Solace Day Spa are a professional team. I frequent this establishment after a race or hike. The location is easy to access with ample parking, however, there is another Solace Day Spa that doesnt do massages in the same shopping center so be sure you park at the right one. Very confusing.

I booked a massage there today. It was horrible. The robes were so old and worn that you could see through the fabric. They had no clean sandals (they brought me the disposable paper ones from a pedicure station). The music stopped 3/4 way through the massage and I could hear conversations going on in the room next door. The therapist was embarassed. She tried to redeem the visit but by then I was so done (and tense) that she could not really focus on doing the massage. Their facilities are subpar. It was just all around bad.

This is the SECOND time Ive had eyelash extensions and BOTH times Ive experienced my extentions falling off within 2 DAYS of the application. I had my extentions applied on Friday and experienced lashes falling off on Saturday night! I went in on Sunday and Theresa happily assisted (she initially applied them...BOTH TIMES) by reapplying the fallen lashes. Its currently Monday morning at 555am and I have MORE lashes gone!!!Note: Ive been wearing lashes for YEARS, I sleep carefully and take special care when washing my face. My face doesnt sweat much and I dont use oily makeup remover.I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting eyelash extensions here. I am going in today to have the rest of my lashes REMOVED and hopefully I can be reimbursed for the 65.00$ charge.All OTHER SERVICES ARE GREAT AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I tried Solace three times for nail services and was disappointed every time. All three times the polished was not professionally applied (lots of polish on my skin), two times my nails were cut at strange angles and different lengths, and the last time I went just for a color change and the employee took three phone calls and was texting during my service. The color change almost took as long as a pedicure. I reported my disappointment to the lady at the front desk and she shrugged at me and offered no apology. I think the staff varies greatly, so if you go, be sure to get a recommendation of a specific staff member and make an appointment.

Spoiled my wifes mothers day gift. Gave me a hard time when we returned to tell them of their professional lacking service. Theres more but I refuse to revisit that day NOT COOL SOLACE

I have short curly hair. I went in there for a trim and I told the lady I wanted only a trim. She thinned out my hair without asking me. Then continued to blow dry and straightened without asking me! I didnt realize she did this until my husband told me cuz I couldnt see what she was doing. Then gave me a bob and I told her I didnt like it. She told me why didnt you tell me how your wanted your hair. I replied by telling her she never asked me. After that she admitted it was her fault and fixed it. Now my hair looks like crap and she damaged my hair and wont curl anymore. So I have to cut it all off. Dont come here this place is horrible!

STAY AWAY! This place butchered my hair and their customer service is horrible! They dont speak fluent English. Amazing they are still in business. After giving me an extremely uneven haircut, they tried to charge me to fix it. Extremely rude.

So, the massage and facial were decent. However, the place failed on average levels from a spa standpoint. Save your money and go to a real spa1. My nice spa Zen music was highlighted but upbeat music permeating though the walls from the nail salon portion. Like to ginuwine Pony and Ciara :-/2. I come out in my robe naked and one of the employees 3 sons were laid out on the couch with iPods. They were there for all 3 of my services. Pretty much daycare!3. After finishing my first service the 3 kids controlled the couch and 2 employees sat on the chairs. So, me, the PAYING customer stood to wait for my service. Meanwhile, the two employees chilled on the 2 chairs to converse.

I came in for the SNS powder color, and I asked for soft square nails. The lady proceeds to tell me that this person is an expert on SNS. So the process is going along and one of my nails chipped before I came and I told her to just file the one. Instead of doing what I asked, she filed them all down and proceeded to turn my hand over to file the inside of my nails. She didnt ask whether or not I wanted it just did it anyway and in the process filed my natural nails underneath down to the SNS color. Im looking at it like what have you done. They tell you its better for your nails but what if you dont have the nails that you came in with to start? I tell her I am completely unhappy 😔 and I tell her why and she says my nails are under there... if they were it wouldnt be blue! My nails were ruined by this technician and the manager tells me its okay my nails will grow back and next time she wont clean up under my nails. What she should have done was ask if I was okay with the process first, but she did not and I shouldve turned around when I came in and not went for convenience. I am not cheap and I dont mind paying for a good service in which I will now make sure I drive to my nail shop thats 30 mins away over a nail shop being around the street. The bad part about it is, not only did the manager say my nails would grow back, she didnt offer to take off my nails for no charge until she had already swiped my card for the poor service. WILL NOT RECOMMEND, and WILL NOT GO BACK... EVER!

The young Receptionist is horrible at her job & has no idea how to do her job. My acrylic nails broke the next day they were so thin and poorly done. On top of that the paint (which should be the easiest part) was so un even and poorly done as well.

The facial was very relaxing, and the technician was very professional and thorough. She explained how important it is to follow-through with a home regimen.

Extremely poor customer service. I called and asked if there were any appointments that evening for a pedicure. I was told yes they had open appointments, what time did I want to come. I stated I could come any time, just lived 5 min away, and was told to come now because they had an opening I could fill.On arrival about 8 min. later, I told it would be at least 45 min. because they are full.When I stated but I was just told to come now, the receptionist denied even speaking with me. When I asked to speak with the manager, who turned out to be sitting right next to her, she then stated yes she did speak with me but cant remember answering any questions at all. So in essence she is stating what? That I call said hello and hung up?No accommodation made or offered.

It is convenient for me, close to home and the services are reasonably good. I usually do a walk-in appointment for mani-pedi. I do not expect much from the front desk staff. If they were rocket scientists they would be somewhere else. However, having said that, they have always handled any unusual questions or needs I have had with appropriate attitudes and responses - I find them very pleasant. The surprising thing, what I did not expect, is that the hair stylists are pretty good. The guys who does my color, Tom, does a great job with color. Hair cutting is always traumatic for me, but Tom does pretty well. Bring a photo of what you want. He tries very hard to please and his technical skills are good. There is a woman there who does Afr/Amer and ethinic hair. I have watched her do fabulous things on the several occasions that I have been there for hair services. All her clients seem extremely happy and they always look great after she is done. The prices are reasonable or within line with everyone else in town and I do not want to pay more. I am always pretty happy with what I get there. I would recommend it to others.

I am disappointed ... actually upset with the service I received today (May 15, 2014).For years, I have visited this spa and purchased their Dermalogic products.Today, I went for a 30min. European facial which was supposed to cost $60. At the check out, the cashier charged me $110. I questioned it, and she told me that Mani (the cosmetologist) had provided me additional services. I did not want to make a scene, but paid what was charged. However, I plan to take this matter further.I want women to be aware that the cosmetologist is tricking customer by either pushing you a service that you did not request, or charging a higher price at the end.This is more than just overselling, this is cheating on the customers who get the bill at the end.Mani (the cosmetologist from Centerville), after cleansing and putting the mask on my face, left the room without saying anything for about 20 minutes. For a moment, I though she forgot about me and went home.When she finally came back, she explained that she left me so the effect of the mask would be better. I bought the explanation, until I got the cashier and saw my bill. She left in the room for additional time to let others think that I was having other type of service.Its ok. I hope they enjoyed the additional cash they collected because its going to be the last one they will get from me.Be aware women!

Ive been going here for a long time for my pedicures. I recently decided to have my hair done there and I saw Mrs. KT Tram. She was extremely nice and courteous, however after the dye was set it was obvious it was the color she wanted to dye my hair (dark auburn with red- just like hers) and not the ash blonde I had pointed to on the color chart. I went home and slept on it, then washed my hair and it was even darker. I called up and complianed and was told to come in and KT would fix it. Well, she did add some poorly done highlights to the top of my head, all centered around a left part in my hair. I never part my hair to the left so not sure what possessed her. I did notice that KT parts on the left. All she did was bleach out sections of my hair on top (and called them highlights) - she never laid color over the top of them.Basically (and I hate to say this) but she is an inexperienced colorist. My cut was very nice, but she cant seem to be artistic in any way when it comes to coloring.After it was all said and done, they charged me an additional $80.00 for these shiteous highlights. I would NOT RECOMMEND going here except for the occasional pedicure or waxing.The salon is a waste of time (minus Kim, I think her name is) I could see all her clients leaving extremely happy.This place is a sham and the owners should be extremely ashamed of themselves. If you think that hustling people and creating complaints instead of happy customers is the way you can conduct a business you have another thing coming. Arianne, (below) Im contacting the Better Business Bureau and I suggest anyone on this thread who was grossly overcharged do the same.

I have had nothing but great experiences here. They have done color treatments, styling and waxing and I have always been quite happy.

Solace is very clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and this spa will be receiving my busy again, in the near future.

Strange moved me in the middle of finishing my nails for a customer who just came in. Finished my nails standing up. Learn not to tip before nails are finished.

Terrible service. Got my eye brows waxed here and they barley even waxed them. Didnt look good at all. over priced And all around terrible service. Dont waste money or time here.
