The teachers are nice but as a former gymnast, this program should not be labeled as such. Even though the location has equipment that is traditionally used for traditional gymnastic, the approach, the time spent on each exercise, the discipline is not close to foundation of the sport. I agree it is a nice place for children to have fun and run indoor but there is a lot of disruption within the approach and I dont think everything needs to have that much music which distracts the child from listening to the teacher. Again, teachers are sweet and well intentioned and the children and parents appreciate them a lot. I am talking mostly about the companys approach.

I went to this gymnasium and I 100% recommended it. I started to go here when I was 7 and I am now 10 I had a great experience. It helped me improve a lot in gymnastics! 😊

Our 5 year old has been coming to this Little Gym since she was 3. This is one of her favorite places to go during the course of the week. Eric is the primary instructor that our daughter has had the most interaction with and he makes the classes spirited and educational. Ellen the director is in constant motion whether shes helping with a class, manning the phones, making signs, cleaning the facilities, etc... Both family and franchise are lucky to have her. The other staff members seem good too but Ive only seen them for the past few months. In terms of space and gymnastics facilities, its hard to beat this establishment. So if you want to find a place where your kid can burn some energy and learn some gymnastics, check out the Little Gym.

We started our daughter here when she was 3 and she fell in love with it immediately! She loved her teacher Miss Liz and looked forward to it every week. We went to another Little Gym to do the trial before we found this location and I loved the layout of this gym and seating area so much better. The viewing area is bright and you have a full view of whatever theyre working on. It was so much fun to bring my parents to watch her. We are sad to be moving away and shes already begging to go back!

We have been members of Little Gym for almost 2 years now. Our daughter started when she was 4 and had no prior gymnastics experience. The first session is free and our daughter absolutely loved it! The instructors are very knowledgeable and work with students depending on their skill level so no one feels left out. They are also full of energy and are great with the kids, especially Eric and Ellen. Little Gym was also very flexible when we asked if our daughter could move into the more advanced group even though she was below the recommended age. Outside of that the program is affordable and is a great place to have stuff like birthday parties (we did our daughters 5th one here). There are also camps kids can attend outside of the normal classes called Parent Survival Nights where you drop of your kid for a couple of hours and go have adult fun! They do food, activities, and crafts and you get to enjoy some well deserved down time. Overall, our experience with Little Gym of Alexandria Van Dorn has been incredible and I highly recommend it!

Upon signing up for classes, you are told that you can cancel with a 30 day notice. They are now telling me they just put out new guidelines (on Feb. 24th) stating you can not cancel in the last 15 weeks of the season. This is ridiculous and upholds very poor management. Anyone who has attended classes and signed up prior to February 24th with the 30 day cancellation notice should be grandfathered into that. Anyone who signs up for membership after that date should be the only ones following those new guidelines. Also to note, I was not informed of this new guideline until after I tried cancelling, so there was no notification back in February informing me that I would not be able to cancel any longer until the season ends. This is ridiculous.

We just had our sons 2nd birthday here and they did a really good job. The staff took care of the decoration, they decorated everything pretty well without instructions. The circuit was tailored to kids of the group ages (2-3). The team made sure to celebrate our sons birthday by shouting out whos birthday is it? multiple times throughout the circuit. They played music and made sure parents were engaged as well. The only recommendation I have is to play some music in the reception area so guests can feel they are getting ready for the party. Other than that, totally worth the money. They took care of all the gifts, handing out the food, and picking up after the party.

Just had my sons third birthday here yesterday. AMAZING STAFF. So helpful, and not in a I have to do it kind of way. They set up the party and did activities with the kids. In addition to all of that, they actively played with the kids- such as helping them jump up and down on the bouncer and chasing them!! We had at least four kids there with special needs and they were very understanding.Worth the money and the staff all deserve raises

The staff was AMAZING with the birthday boy and the other children and ensured they had a wonderful time. They were efficient and kept me on track with the time and activities. The staff took care of everything so that my husband and I could actually enjoy the party and help entertain & enjoy the company of the other parents. This was the best birthday weve had for our kids and we will definitely consider coming back. Thank you for the outstanding service.

I love the free open space and activities for the kids despite their age to have fun. Regan and her helper were fantastic! I love that they set up and cleaned up. Your party service definitely takes the stress off parents. It gives parents the opportunity to take Photos, play along with their child and socialize with guest. I also love that we can brin our own food and adhere to guest dietary restrictions.

I like that they give my child a safe place to play with other kids in her peer group. She thoroughly enjoys the freedom and encouragement that the instructors at The Little Gym at Van Dorn provide her. After almost two years at this location she had developed strong bonds with both her instructors and classmates.

We had my sons 4th birthday party here and everyone loved it! The instructors had such great energy and kept the kids entertained the whole time! The games they played were amazing and they didnt expect the kids to sit and listen for long periods of time (which is always great when you are dealing with the 4 and under crowd!).Would highly recommend to anyone for a birthday party or for classes.

We had a joint birthday party for my kids (ages 4 and 2) at the Little Gym of Alexandria last month, and they did an incredible job. The theme was space, and Mr. Andrew and Miss Reagan led everyone on a wild adventure to the moon. They brought tremendous energy to the party and made sure that every kid was included in the fun. Ive been to a lot of other parties at other Little Gyms in the area, and they were all good, but Mr. Andrew and Miss Reagan really were the best that Ive seen and made our party exceptional. The price was reasonable, and its a convenient location with a grocery store and pizzaria in the same shopping plaza. Highly recommended.

AWESOME! This is just one word but the environment people makes it a great experience for participants and parents. Very friendly environment and great instructors. My daughter just love it.

They switch our teacher from wonderful Rashad to Ellen who is absolutely awful! She pulled one of the mats while my 21 month old was still standing on it, he fell on his back and she laughed! Who does that! She does gymnastics while teaching class and has no clue about safety! I contacted the regional director and had to switch gyms. So upsetting! Do they actually conduct vetting on their staff?

I go to gymnastics and my little sister wants to go and I think this would be a good gymnastics class for her. Ps i am only 8 years old and she is 6 years old.and that is why i put 5 stars

Both of our children are homeschooled, and we love that The Little Gym not only teaches our littles a skill (dance and tumbling for us!), but they also discuss great life and social skills; which is especially important for our preschooler!
