This gym is one of the nicest Ive ever been to. The staff are incredibly helpful no matter what you need. For example, I was only going to be in the area for about 3 months, and Leland helped me open my membership and close my membership with no headaches.As for the gym itself, it has everything you could possibly need. Everything is in good shape and is taken care of well. Nothing to complain about at all.

Onelife fitness in Alexandria has a welcoming staff with very knowledgeable employees. Whether it pertains to certain exercises or diets they have members who can help you on your fitness journey. If your looking for a good trainer ask for Luke Blevins. If you are looking to start your membership hit up Leland and he will get you going at Onelife.

Open floor plan gym with amenities for mixed martial arts and basketball. Theyre definitely clean too. Great place to get in shape!

Huge gym. Nice and segmented so you can get some space for your workouts. Every machine or rack you could possibly need, multiple sets of free weights, ropes, benches, mills. Couldnt recommend more. 💪

Onelife Alexandria is great, including its coaches/trainers--especially Yusuf. He is very knowledgeable about how different muscle groups work/can be activated, and incorporates a lot of flexibility and balance exercises in his workouts, which hardly any trainers do. He has definitely helped me improve my fitness in ways that traditional cardio-heavy classes never will.

So I’m a planet fitness member but I was in town for the week and this gym was suggested to me and I have to say it is one of the beat gyms I’ve gone to in a very long time. It has everything you’d ever want in a gym and the staff was very friendly and professional the gym was extremely clean and well spaced. I would recommend it to anyone in the area...Clayton took good care of us so go see him for all your needs.

The staff here are always friendly and quick to help with any questions or concerns. Personally, I was hesitant to head back to the gym due to social distancing concerns but this OneLife has kept up great protocols, is always clean and spotless, and has hand sanitizing stations everywhere. Love the classes, cycling and body pump have been so fun! Definitely recommend this gym.

I have needed a gym on and off for the last year and Leland, Xavier, and Clayton have all been wonderful working with me on options to have a great spot to go to. The gym is clean, equipment well maintained, staff friendly, and the different spaces cater to many different types of workouts. Would recommend this location!

Good facility and staff. Only annoyance is they’re stingy with towels for showering. Ballston and Skyline just leave a consistent, self-serve supply available for members to grab and go.

The reviews are accurate as far as the facility being nice and a great environment. However, wait until you have a billing issue or want to cancel. I cancelled my membership in December 2020 and moved to Colorado. I just realized (Aug 2021) I have two months of charges on my account.I called and of course no one is available to talk to me- very routine of them, this always happens (they charged me during covid too, when they werent open). Additionally, the woman on the phone told me my account was never cancelled and that it was FROZEN. Why would I freeze my account when I moved across the country?Check your bank accounts :)

The staff is friendly. Some of the equipment is worn out and should be refurbished. I have two main problems with this facility:1- its restrooms. They smell horrible.2- mask is not enforced or even encouraged. I’m stuck with paying my membership fee while Delta is circulating and I prefer not to use the gym. Not fair.

It’s a decent gym for the price—basically a huge warehouse with machines with some added aesthetics. There is a separate yoga studio and an exercise studio, but there are very few classes. The class instructors don’t seem to be geared to explaining modifications of exercises. Sometimes they try to suggest something after they realize many people in the class cant do the exercises but it seems like if you aren’t already in shape, you will have to make up your own modifications because in general the instructors will not vocalize a modification. But for $40/mo it’s okay, I guess.What I am really unhappy about is the intro package. I was told to go to a “free intro session”. All that happened during that session is that I got on the fancy scale that they had and then they told me that if I wanted to use it again that it’s $70 each time and then asked me if I wanted to sign up for personal training sessions at approximately $100/session. When I said no. The “session” abruptly ended and I was told that if I wanted a sample personal training session that I would have to make another appointment. I’ve done these intro packages before at other gyms, and I have no idea why they would need to have TWO separate appointments. I was surprised. But I made the second appointment for the heck of it. And then the second appointment got canceled. Seems like they don’t really respect people’s time. Why would they have me come in just to weigh in and get a sales pitch and then have me come in a second time for the personal training session? I know people sometimes need to cancel sessions, but it’s really not a good impression when they already do that right off the bat. The whole process to this point seems quite disrespectful. They didn’t even apologize for canceling my session. They just said they had a “scheduling conflict” less than an hour before the scheduled session! I really got the impression they canceled my session because I didn’t seem like a potential buyer. And I would have even considered some personal training had they actually been professional and had something to offer other than wasting my time for no reason.

Staff is really nice and helpful! The gym is very spacious and has cleaning supplies near all of the machines.

Ive been at OneLife for about 8 months now. I really enjoy the UFC studio they have there, its worth the extra money imo. But where I think I really get what I pay for is from my personal trainer Yusuf. Not only have I gotten results on the scale, but hes very encouraging and I feel so much better about myself! Hes also highly professional and communicates well. He even helped me with a few workouts while I was away on business. Yusuf is a heck of a coach and a classy guy all around. Ill forever be grateful for what he has taught me about myself and my body. Thanks Yusuf!

Total of 3 reclinable benches and one incline barbell bench. Equipment is all in good shape but not nearly enough. Also, it does not seem like staff organize the weights.

No hack squat, no standing calf raise, not enough bumper plates, broken platforms, broken AC (you will slip on the floor in the summer due to the humidity and condensation) and now missing 85lb and 90lb dumbbells. This place is a joke. No offense to the GM and AGM because they are both extremely professional and genuine dudes but their corporate office is clearly ignoring their cries for help despite constant negative feedback from members. Not a real gym, sorry.

Took my membership off pause yesterday. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Machines have been reconfigured to allow aisles in between. Directional arrows on the flow and cleaning supplies every few feet. They are taking precautions to make it safer to come back.

Overall nice place. Big warehouse gym with a lot of space, equipment, and workout options. Front desk staff is friendly. As we start to return, I chose this location as home base because of its spaciousness and low foot traffic during the day. I’m a returning OneLife member. The spaciousness helps a lot while still being in middle of the pandemic, especially at $40 per month. The sales rep made everything very easy too. However, I’ve already noticed some big red flags that making me regret not signing up at another location or another gym Org altogether. My first issue is that the men’s locker room is very unclean with overflowing trash bins and general lack of cleanliness. I have been to other locations in the area and all of them are much cleaner than this one. My visits to other locations were before and in the early days of the pandemic. Second, I wonder if some of the people at this location understand customer service. Case in point, I scheduled their free assessment at the suggestion of the sales rep. My free assessment was scheduled with their Fitness Director. That great, it’s usually a PT. On the day of the appointment, I called ahead to let them I’d be 5 minutes late. My sales rep happen to pick up the phone and told me all good but to let them know that if we should reschedule if I take longer. I apologized for the tardiness and that I’ll be there. I arrive 5 minutes late. I was asked to wait for the Fitness Director. Make sense, I was late. Few minutes later another trainer, not the Fitness Director, comes over to inform me that the Fitness Director has other priorities and won’t be able to do the assessment. I was confused because then why schedule a full hour or not let me know when I’m on the road or earlier for us to reschedule. This other trainer was kind enough to offer alternative times on his calendar. However, understanding that I was being handled and this poor trainer had to spit some BS to cover for the Fitness Director was just insulting. A simple face to face “Hey man! Something came up but he’s going to help you. My bad.” Happy to adapt. I’m easy. But looks like from other reviews, free assessments aren’t worth the time anyway. I’ll do my best to limit my use of the men’s locker room and this location for that matter. Even at $40 per month, the other locations have better service.

Leland was great! I was only in town for a few days and was looking forward a fully equipped gym. I called, visited a few hours later, and was signed up within a few minutes. Thank you Leland! If visiting or in town looking for a gym check out this location, fully equipped with functional training areas and group training.

Been to a lot of facilities in the Northern Virginia region and this had to be by far the cleanest and most professional facility Ive been to in years. Staff is very nice and genuine. Everyone that goes their is extremely courteous when it comes to the overall cleanliness of the gym. This place really is levels above everyone else.

This facility is superb with its variety of equipment, cleanliness, and customer service. If you are looking for a place to work out where you feel at ease and motivated this is it! Wonderful service.

I started working out at this gym about a week and a half ago and I absolutely love it. It has everything you need equipment wise and a great selection of classes. The gym is always clean (including the locker room and bathroom) which is obviously important right now, never too crowded, and the patrons are respectful and do their part cleaning after using the machines. The staff is super cool and always available to help. Special thanks to Leland and Xavier in particular who work at the front. I forgot my mask one day and Leland had one for me. You won’t regret joining this gym!

The gym is fine, but there is no enforcement of mask policy. $40 per month with an extra $20 due at signing and extra $40 due in Dec. With a year contract thatll cost $120 to just leave unless you have a good reason... Not worth it at all.

Nice and friendly stuff, Covid temperature testing at the door, and pretty diverse equipments. There is a boxing ring and and separate heavy bags room but I am not sure if you can just use them. There are different workout classes too but I havent explored many yet. Overall, great gym!

One of the best, cleanest gyms ive been to! The gym is extremely spacious, with every type of machine, weight or fitness class you could need. From boxing to yoga, even a basketball court; this gym truly has it all. The trainers and staff are all very friendly and helpful; I personally saw them sanitizing the equipment routinely, and their COVID-19 safety measures were implemented well. Leland in particular was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the membership process. If youre looking for a clean & expansive gym, Id definitely recommend Onelife Alexandria.

Very clean and socially distanced gym. I appreciate the organization and enhanced cleaning standards since the pandemic started. It really helps me feel safe while trying to stay active/healthy. Lots of options at this gym. They have 4 flat benches, lots squat racks, and deadlifting platforms that are separated from the squat racks. There is a lot of different areas to workout and this gym has everything you need.

I have really enjoyed the UFC program. The coaches keep the workouts interesting and challenging. Im a novice fighter and they are always willing to take the time to help me improve my techniques. Blue and Ronny are top notch coaches.

Awesome facility to suit whatever your programming requires — Hypertrophy, strength, or speed/power development. Cardio is no issue here either with plenty of machines, assault bikes, concept2 rowers, and even a boxing ring. Highly recommend as your go to for every fitness need.

Really love the flow this place has to it. Enough squat rack and even had deadlift platforms. I’ve been to other locations in the area but this one is by far my favorite. Very clean and modern.

This gym really is perfect. It has everything you could need for a complete workout. I’m a travel nurse and they were willing to work with my crazy schedule and were very accommodating with needing a short contract. Bonus: They follow all of the Covid/social distancing guidelines, they have plenty of hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies, they take your temp at the door also. If you’re on the fence about joining, check it out. You won’t regret it!

As a frequent member to this gym I really don’t like the new changes they made for 2020. They moved the spacious spin room upstairs to a tiny room now it’s cramped especially for Timothy Broady”s spin classes(awesome). My beloved movie cardio room is now gone! Ps please update the rusty spin bikes.In old spin room there is now a UFC BOXING gym that costs extra. On top of this things have been moved around aka CRAMPED to accommodate a large boxing ring. I couldn’t even find a decent area to stretch after class. Not sure if they will buy up more space or take out the basketball courts but something has to go!They have also gotten RID of upstairs workout room so if you come during prime time after work this area will now be ROPED off unless you hired their personal trainer.I and others want the front lobby bulletin board back where ppl used to post local events /classes/teams for the Alexandria community!#makeourgymgreatagain #putitback

Found this gym from Coach Ronnies Instagram. I wanted to get my son into boxing. The boxing program is top notch!! I see such a difference in my sons confidence and he loves going to Damian’s and Amines classes as well!! A+++ all in one facility!!

Worst experience ever! I will never get another membership with any OneLife location! I was basically held hostage in my membership throughout the pandemic though all the resources were not available. I chose this gym specifically because of the indoor basketball gym before the pandemic started, once the pandemic was underway the gym was closed to such sports. This is perfectly understandable, I just wanted to be let out of my contract being the Pandemic had no end in sight.Only thing that matters is the bottom line 👌🏽

Been my gym for a few years now...never had any major issues. Youll usually see an employee regularly cleaning the gym area and machines. Friendly staff and environment. Doing what they can to follow safety and health guidelines. I forgot my mask today, and a staff member had one ready for me, no cost!

Awesome gym. Their UFC program is especially good. Muay Thai and Boxing are taught by elite coaches. Their boxing program is especially good. Coach Ronnie has been coaching professional level fighters for over a decade. That level of experience isn’t available anywhere else for the price. I highly recommend OneLife Alexandria along with their UFC program.

Horrible, they make it super difficult to cancel your membership and when you do you have to still pay for the next month? I cancelled my account January first and they said I still need to pay for February and they’ll proceed to cancel my account my March 1st? 2 months after I cancel ?

Was looking for a free-weight gym to rehab old injuries and a place to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu—DONE.Unfortunately, due to COVID, full-contact MMA like Jiu Jitsu are currently not offered. However, they’re running the Boxing program and it is AWESOME to see a full-on boxing ring in the middle of the gym floor. Inspiring to watch the boxers and coaches as I do reps. Again, *where else* can you do something like that? In the multitude of fitness facilities in the area, this particular One Life stands out: Within a walking distance to a Metro station, ample parking, impeccably clean and sanitary, great equipment variety of outstanding quality, and fantastic staff and customer service. Most importantly, it is the only place to offer a range of UFC classes!What I like most about them is that they treat everyone with the same level of attention and one-on-one guidance: from the competing pro to the newbie who doesn’t even know what jab and cross are; from the young teenager to the elderly citizen. Regardless of participants’ skill level, the coaches ensure training is safe, injury-free, but still challenging and always fun! The group is very diverse and everyone is treated the same, regardless of language difficulty or physical shortcoming.The UFC staff is full of accomplished and titled athletes. How motivating it is to be coached by North America’s Muy Thai Champion Amine Ballafrikh himself!!! Or see coach Ronny give advice to the competing boxing pro Vitaly Gubkin but then he moves over to the amateur on the next bag over and dedicates just as much time and mentorship! I came to OneLife just to work out but ended up growing a life-time interest in martial arts, building a community, and gaining good friends!

I have been going to Onlife for about 2 years now and it has been nothing but amazing for me. The staff are really friendly and the customer service is also really great. The staff is attentive to your needs and go above and beyond. The cleanliness of the gym is great too. Especially with the pandemic, they have diligently kept the place clean, take your temp, and ensure people and equipment are of social distancing measures. I just wanted to give an update so for those questioning or are in search for a gym can understand how this business cares about their customers. A+ in my book!

The Cycle Studio is AWESOME! The whole layout is amazing and smartly done and updated to maximize safety with social distancing. I’m coming back as often as I can!

They make it absolutely impossible to cancel your membership here. I moved in July and I dont even live in VA. Im still paying for my membership even though I tried to cancel 4 times already. Really mad and annoyed. They should be sued for something like this. I have wasted so much money on a membership I cant even use anymore!!!

Decided it was time to get back in the gym after getting vaccinated. Based on OneLife’s advertisements, I expected enforcement of masks and practices to minimize risk of transmission of COVID-19. I was mistaken. My first visit on 2/1 proved to be the complete opposite. Few people were wearing masks in the gym (cardio equipment, weights, boxing) much to my dismay. There was no enforcement of the mask policy or even social distancing. I’m very disappointed and am not surprised this pandemic is ongoing. I am working on cancelling my membership but have not been able to speak with the manager of the club (he seemed to not be interested) and have had vague and dismissive responses from the member service department via email. Ido not wish to support a company that cares so little about COVID-19 nor put myself at risk (despite being vaccinated).

I just visited from out of town. They have cleaning supplies and materials around, with great equipment. If I visit again I will be stopping by here for sure!

Onelife Alexandria is the absolute best gym in the DMV area. The staff are exceptional in every way. The facilities are top notch. And, as a fighter, I have been looking for a quality gym with a solid boxing program. This gym offers me exactly what I need to maintain that competitive fighting edge. And without the meatheads of a typical gym of this caliber.Leland is one of the friendliest General Manager’s around. And Tracy (UFC Program Director) is not only tough, but she will help you anyway she can!

OneLife Alexandria is a clean, spacious facility with an excellent selection of equipment options to keep your workouts interesting and challenging. The addition of UFC Gym classes have been a game changer for me. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the gym is rarely packed outside of a few peak times, and you can’t beat the value for the price point. They have taken the pandemic seriously by implementing enhanced sanitary measures so you can feel safe there. I’ve been a member for 3+ years and would highly recommend.

Updated Review:After I posted my previous review, the general manager contacted me in order to offer an explanation as well as an apology for both the incident I described and the broken fan. Both deficiencies were corrected with great and admirable haste. Of course, it would be ideal if neither had been an issue at all, but the immediate effort to atone for and recover from these mistakes is greatly appreciated. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GYM.The general manager cannot be trusted to open the gym on time. This morning (OCT 13, 2020), no fewer than 20 customers simply left while waiting outside until nearly 5:45 for the general manager (you know, the supposed boss) to finally arrive & open the gym. Additionally, the large fan above the cardio equipment isn’t working & has not been for at least a week, which, particularly during an airborne pandemic, is problematic. In spite of numerous complaints made to multiple staff members, the general manager and the staff offered excuses, which varied each time they were approached, and the issue persists.

Great environment and people at this gym. If you’re looking for a gym with great people and equipment. This is definitely the gym for you.

Worked here for a period of time and now a member. You could say I’m a tad biased but I love love love this gym. The atmosphere is energetic and the people are friendly and motivated. If anyone has reservations about talking to trainers even just to ask for advice in their own workouts, take it from me that they are highly professional, knowledgeable, and overall want to see you do well. Probably one of the biggest gyms I’ve ever been to! There are so many options for me in terms of working out and playing ball when I want to! The employees are super chill and laid back, but also know how to stay professional. Lastly, the cleanliness... 100% the cleanest gym I have gone to. The floor is in tip-top shape, the men’s locker room is spotless, and even the sauna stays clean. I’m not sure if they have a cleaning crew or the employees clean the gym, but they’re doing a stellar job!

Nice gym,nice workers,always greeted by friendly employees,very clean never had an issue but once the boxing ring was put in,it made the gym have less space so it felt more crowded. They got rid of the spin room and put punching bags in it. I’ve used to go to a boxing a Muay Thai gym so I understand the gym wanting to add something new,but I know that the punching bags and the ring is very expensive and they Could’ve used that money to have another bench,.pull up bar or squat rack or something. Overall it felt crowded after putting the ring and bags in like others have mentioned. So I never kept my membership.

My wife and I signed up for this gym about a year ago now. We wanted a change of scenery from Golds. One life was around the same price point and we liked what we saw when we visited. Fast forward to this past summer, one of our favorite areas of the gym (the turf) which was sold to us as a active space for all gym goers was being converted to a personal training area for peak hours (M-F 5pm - 8pm). So basically we were baited and switched. This changed forced a large portion of gym goes at peak hours to the main gym floor. When asked at the front about this we were told “the old personal training area is now open to all in its place.” Mind you this area fits about 6 people total in it. THEN! Just last month we saw construction and movement!!! Ah! Hope and change for the new year!!! Our hopes quickly turned to terror .... could it be??? WHY YES BRILLIANCE! A FULL SIZE BOXING RING ON THE MAIN GYM FLOOR!!!!!!!Who was the genius who decided to put this there?? More squat racks? More benches? More open space for the influx from closing the turf during the most busy times??? NO ... No no no. A BOXING RING!

Very neat and clean gym! They set up all the machines so you can social distance. The staff is very friendly and informative.

Clean, spacious, offers tons of classes and daycare, has 4 or 5 squat racks and powerlifting platforms as well as other equipment that I havent found too often in other gyms. Also has saunas Locker rooms could be cleaner, but theyre not terrible. Most of the gymgoers seem to be serious about fitness, so its an overall uplifting environment.

Definitely the best gym in the area!! The UFC gym has been a great addition awesome classes!!

Been Looking for a gym in the area for awhile, walked in didn’t know they had a boxing program. Best training around Ronnie and Damien are the best.

Such a diverse gym!! They taking all the precautions with the COVID. UFC boxing program is great love Blue and Damiens classes!!

While the facilities and equipment are good, management and billing has been difficult to deal with. Last month the club charged over $700 to a wrong account (for the second time). This was after telling me that the account issue had been fixed the first time. We requested a refund and was told it could take up to 14 business days. A couple of emails to them during that time have gone ignored and it is now well beyond the 14 days and the refund still hasn’t been issued. This isn’t the first problem we’ve had either. At the beginning the club charged over $700 twice to my account and was very unresponsive as to how and when they were going to fix it. Essentially 3 months in a row with over $2000 charged inappropriately and very little communication from management on when they were going to return our money.**EDIT - a regional manager has finally replied to the email that has gone ignored and has stated that the refund only takes 3-5 days. So it appears that the refund wasn’t originally issued at all as they have stated. This has continued to be a very disappointing experience.

Always friendly and helpful staff. Machines and equipment rarely down for maintenance. New additions (boxing studio and ring) add more options for advancing your work out along with well qualified training staff. Best gym in the area!

I’ve been a member of one life fitness for 7 years and it’s been an amazing experience . All the staff have always been very professional and have always communicated very well ! I’ve also met some of the best fitness instructors one can have .

A solid gym with a very reasonable membership price. Used this location for two years before I moved and I miss it.

Kenny was very helpful and knowledgeable, he had answers to all my questions and made my return to a gym after the coronavirus shutdown easy and painless... btw, the one life in Alexandria really has their stuff together in the midst of all this coronavirus chaos, by comparison to other gyms, far and away the best Ive been in since re openings occurred... and they were the first to reopen in the area.

The best part about everything is the presentation.How it looks!How CLEAN it is.And well maintained.Yesterday night, when I was finishing up my work out, I saw the night crew come in and honestly they’re doing a wonderful job maintaining it.Keep up the great work and stay on top because “PLANET FITNESS, LA FITNESS, XSPORTS FITNESS, 24hr FITNESS, ANYTIME FITNESS, Orange, and etc... they all suck at maintaining and keeping it clean..Speaking from experience with all gyms.Thanks Onelife fitness :)

The locker rooms are often dirty. This gym is very crowded during peak hours (5 - 7 pm). Upstairs is often closed because it is used only for personal training. Recently, a boxing ring was installed in the main exercise area. In order to accommodate this new boxing ring, equipment has been moved closer to each other. These changes have significantly reduced areas for weight training.

The staff are really helpfully! The gym is clean all the time and well maintained especially the locker-rooms are always cleaned. Love the setting of the gym and overall I love coming here.Highly recommend it!

An excellent gym.!!Plenty of equipment to cover a full body workout.It is always full early mornings on weekdays.Best time to go is after 9 pm or early morning weekends.I have come in the mornings and afternoons and there are always machines to workout with.The employees I have encountered so far have been helpful and nice.Trainers are also nice,they will guide you throughout your workout and even help in making your diet plan.
