I wanted to get a persian rug cleaned. I called to get an estimate. The entire process of obtaining an estimate was made so difficult on the phone by the employee who picked up my call that after wasting about five minutes and repeatedly providing data points to them I was told I am finding it really hard to imagine what your rug may be like and therefore cannot provide an estimate. I said no problem, how about you can provide me with an estimate of per square foot charge you charge for shampoo clean for most carpets/rugs, once again, they did not provide any estimate. After five minutes of struggling to obtain an estimate I said my good byes to the employee.Come to think of it, I probably saved myself from trouble because this business does not seem to have very favourable reviews on the internet.
Very sorry I did not read through the online reviews beforehand! Trusted this company as I grew up and went to school with members of the family. They took a $150 deposit initially for the two rugs which seemed reasonable. They measured the rugs at pick up and provided us with a written estimate for the cleaning - a price was provided for each rug. I received a phone call a few days later that the rugs were cleaned/ready to be returned and that I would be charged an additional 300% of the estimate!!! Discussing with a manager, I was told that the original estimate was not really an estimate but just an add-on charge for an extra clean rug. I suppose if you want a somewhat clean rug you would need to know to ask for that estimate separately and still expect to pay at least 50% more than competitors.
All Of these employees of Hadeed Carpet were outstanding and the Workmen were highly capable .
Every time I work with them, they go above and beyond for customer service! Their work is great for rug cleaning and steam cleaning services. The staff is kind, thoughtful, and professional. They have exceeded my expectations as a customer and were very patient when I was in error and mixed up some things - they still made sure my needs were met and treated me like a VIP! Thank you for great customer service and the level of patience your staff has, especially during these times!
I have used them for cleaning my handmade carpets multiple times and have never been dissatisfied. Theyre taking stains out that I thought were impossible. The roads look better than new.
Very nice staff, we had to take our daughters carpets there after her place flooded and they took the carpets the same day we called.
Hadeed carpet did a great job cleaning my wall to wall carpets. Technicians were very professional and moved the items out of the way to clean the carpets thoroughly. I was concerned about a bunch of stain spots but they were able to clean them Using their chemicals. All in all everything went very well and the bill was very reasonable.
Our entire experience with Hadeed was without a doubt one of the most disappointing experiences we have ever had with any type of home service company. We paid to have a light stain on a fairly new rug cleaned. The first time the rug was returned to us the stain was darker and more pronounced than when it left our home. We paid for an express service believing the turnaround time would be shorter. After the rug came back worse than it left we were told by several people within the company that they do not recommend express service. Of course no one told us that. After we complained about the condition of the rug they took it back to clean it again. Before they would deliver the rug back to us the second time an extremely rude employee called us, not to schedule a delivery, but to demand payment of more than $300 above what we already paid to get our rug back. After several conversations with purported managers and senior staff we agreed to pay the additional amount to get the rug back. When it came back again there was a new soiled area and a new stain. They took the rug back again. Again we had multiple conversations with a number of people none of whom ever gave us a straight answer about what they were doing or when we would get our rug back. We even spoke with Mark Hadeed who could promise noting more than that he would find out what was going on. He never did. Finally after leaving another message we got a voice mail on a Thursday that the rug would be back the next day. it did not arrive and we got a call that the rug would be back on Saturday between 8 and 10 am. The rug was not back and when we called we were told the rug would arrive between 1 and 3 pm. After complaining again, the rug finally arrived back. The entire process took from May 11 to June 29. In the meantime we were told a number of stories about how our synthetic rug was somehow temperamental and all other types of things about how Hadeed wanted to make sure we were satisfied-all of which never happened. The rug is finally back at our home, still soiled and with the new stain. I would warn anyone against using this company for anything.
Wonderful carpet service.. they are like family. They know their stuff. They know every thread in your Oriental, dhurri, or RYA rug you got at Ikea via eBay.. they know you because they know their business and they treat you like Family..
I called on a Friday morning and asked if they could fit my wall to wall cleaning in along with my neighbors for a late notice appointment for Monday morning. Not only did they fit us in, they arrived right on time. They took measurements, gave me a great estimate and did a wonderful job cleaning 3 rooms, a hallway and a double staircase. The techs were professional and very polite even asking if we had any problem areas that needed special attention. They even commented on how cute our dog is! I would highly recommend Hadeed Carpet Cleaning!
My cousin joe hadeed is probably the best carpet cleaning out there!!!
Wow! so nice to make a call and have the rugs picked up, cleaned, and delivered. They are clean, fresh and look like new. Thank you!PS: also love your specials, please keep them coming to my email.
If this were a doctors office, I would say their bedside manner could use a lot of improvement. The rug looks great, but they have a serious lack of communication with their customers (sending an e-mail when it is time to deliver it, saying they need a 60% payment before they will set it up for delivery, not returning my calls--or providing price, etc, then sending me a nasty note about storage fees, etc.) and were rude when they delivered the rug, failing to meet the time they promised.
CUSTOMERS BEWARE. The company picked up my carpet, measured it and provided me an estimate of $350. When they dropped it off, the final cost was $950 for the rug cleaning, and I was never advised of the change in price beforehand. Management graciously decided to give me a discount and I ended up paying $630, almost double of what they quoted me. They tried to justify their cost to me - walking me through their whole cleaning process when my issue is that they never discussed the change in cost BEFORE delivery. A very dishonest company!
Classic bait and switch....and I should have known differently. So they say, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.A couple of years ago a 7 X10 oriental was cleaned by Hadeed and came back darker on on half than the other. This time...and it will be my last, I was quoted one price for cleaning an oriental and when I got t their facility to drop it off they added another 20% to the quoted price.Poor.
Very reliable and a pleasure with whom to do business! Thanks Hadeed Family.
Horrendous customer relations, shoddy service, carpets removed and replaced with natty towels - told it was like that when we got here, litigious owner suing helpful review website, doesnt understand concept of anonymous reviews, swarthy foreign deliveryman urinated in one of my potted plants.Joe Hadeed, just remember, if your business has problems the best plan for fixing them is to file a time-and-money-wasting lawsuit against Yelp. Theres no better way. You can sue everyone, Joe. Sue your customers. Sue your friends. Sue your employees. Sue the trees, for obstructing your view. Hire new lawyers to sue your old lawyers. Sue your shoes if they come untied. Sue God for making you such a moron.
I had my rugs cleaned around January 2013 after having a friend spill red win on it. A few weeks later they called and said they were having a tough time with the stain because it was red wine. Their plant in Alexandria is near my office so I went to there to see it. I found the stain still there, which is understandable - it is red win after all. I will give them kudos that the stain was better than I expected it to be.However, the entire rug had been discolored. It used to be light yellow and now was gold with brown undertones. I asked the plant manager why that was, and immediately began to get the technical explanation with lots of terms I did not understand. The bottom line is the rug was different colored than when I dropped it off. He said they could re clean it but claimed that the discoloration was already there. A few weeks later they said it was done and delivered back to my house. The discoloration was still there. I called the plant manager to express my displeasure. He said there was nothing wrong with what they did and referred me to Mike Hadeed (Joes brother???) to come to my house to evaluate it. Mike asked me to email him pics. This was all approximately March/April 2013. I did not send the pics until July 2013 - just swamped with work and travel, the delay here was 100% my fault. However, from July 2013 through November 2013 I sent Mike four emails and left countless voicemails, none of which were returned. Finally I was routed to Michele McTighe in February 2014 who said Mike was no longer with the company. Michele asked that I resend her the information, which I did in March. Again, four emails to Michelle since March 2014 with no response.Just because they advertise all over the place does not mean the quality is any good. They dont stand behind their work. They will clean your rugs but dont be shocked if they come back a different color. Dont expect any customer service. Overall a terrible experience. Buyer beware!
I originally called Hadeed because of an ad I heard on WTOP radio. The ad stated that Hadeed is number 1 in caring about their customers and their reputation. My experience with them has me saying that they do not care about either. I scheduled an appointment with them to have my hand made Oriental rug cleaned. I closed down my business on a Saturday to be able to be home to receive my rug on the time and date Hadeed said they would drop it off. I waited all Saturday afternoon. After hours of being late, Hadeed’s driver called without a care in the world, and said how they were not going to come that day. I was then TOLD(not asked politely) to be home at 2PM the next Saturday. So again, I close my shop on the next Saturday to be at home at 2PM. They arrived roughly at 5:20… Again, they didn’t care about their tardiness nor did they apologize. I didn’t even get a phone call about when they would arrive. I’m surprised they showed up at all. When the time came to pay I mentioned the WTOP ad because you get 10% off if you mention it. The delivery man brazenly told me that I was not eligible for it without telling me why. It was obvious he didn’t care and was just there to drop off my carpet and collect my money. I was just a talking wallet to him basically. At least that’s how I felt.I unfortunately had also scheduled their cleaning service for my house when I also asked for my carpet to be cleaned. My wife, who is the co-owner of our business, stayed home for work for this visit. Which effectively had my business running at half capacity. Hadeed was scheduled to be at my home at 8AM. Then the inevitable happens. They do a no call no show. Finally at 8:30 a woman calls me and says, “I was told to tell you that the car en route to you broke down,” and “nobody is going to come to your house.” I asked if anyone else was going to come, and they said no…This was beyond unacceptable, because when I first talked to the cleaning service they said that if I cancel my scheduled date within 24 hours of the date I would have to pay a penalty. But, when they don’t show up and don’t accommodate me it’s ok and no one cares. I don’t see how anyone can run a business when they treat their customer like this. All I can say to anyone who might consider using Hadeed is, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. They have no customer service skills, they are apathetic to your plight, and they are very arrogant and condescending. Throughout this whole ordeal no one, not one time, ever said they were sorry. They never apologized for anything. Please do yourself a favor and don’t even think about using them
Friendly, professional staff. Did a nice job on my heavily stained outdoor rug. Also used them for air duct cleaning.
Theyve got multiple complaints filed on the Virginia consumer protection website.
