The tax representative made an error on our return. The representative admitted the error, walked us through the error and filed a claim (because we have peace of mind protection). The claims department determined none of that was true and we must have provided faulty information. They said their representative must have had incorrect information provided by us. I discussed the error in full detail and how the error occurred on their part and was told it simply wasnt true and they wouldnt stand by the customer. This resulted in us owing a large amount on our return after we filed that could have been avoided had we gone elsewhere. That was the first and only time we will ever use HR Block.

Could not believe what they charged me and then acted like they were doing me this h u g e favor.😑Over $300.00 -and mine are the simplest form to file. Lesson learned. I do my own with IRS.com free file. Check into it before you use these crooks.

Have been seeking answers to an issue and after two weeks of calling and 2 trips to the office .. nothing. I get different answers each time but no resolution and not a single person there seems to be on the same page as the other and would rather give you 800numbers to call instead of trying to actually help.will not be back to have my taxes done and I have noticed that a response from the owner on several reviews with another 800number to call. Dont bother Ive been given that same number they dont answer

Well we got back over 3,000 last year and this year we only got back 700 so something aint right. But other than that our overall experience was great the guy that done our taxes was sweet as he could be. So for that Id give them a 5 star 😉

I went to the Alcoa TN office and after taking time off from work to apply for the emerald advance, the lady told me I was denied and the reason was could not verify identity she figured out she had put my last name wrong so she asked to reset the application and asked me to come back the following day and again I took time off from work and went back and met with another gentleman who after 15 minutes messing around with the computer advised that he has to reset my application again and that will take 3 days and they will call me back and it has been 5 days and i heard nothing from this office. I would have appreciated if i got denied because of soemthing in my credit report not because of a mistake that is not my fault

The expense for the service for out fairly basic return was high.

I have been a regular customer for a few years now. Typically I file with HRB early and get free filing. This year I was later than usual and forgot they charge much, much more in March, $139! The gentleman filing my return was a little condescinding and judge-mental. I feel as though they avoided letting me know there was a charge until the end, where they would charge another $40 to deduct the $139 from my income tax return lol. NOT HAPPENING AGAIN.
