I was given 2 generous gift cards before the new owners took over. When I went to make an appt, the new owners declined my GCs declaring they had no liability to them. NEVER in my life have I ever been told I couldnt use a gift card because, you took over the management. As new owners, it would have been in good taste to have accepted the gift cards. This just goes to show the public, YOU dont care about people and their hard working efforts to purchase a gift card for their loved ones in good faith. Even if you chose not to honor the previous owners gift card sale, you could have stepped up and made some sort of resolution to honor the gift cards in the amount of $180.00.Bilasita Salon, you are a TOTAL rip off and I hope one day soon, you close your doors due to your unscrupulous business practice. NO one in their right mind should give you their business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is very nice here and I was really impressed with how clean and safe they are being about COVID-19. They got me in last minute for a hair trim and offered me a water and to sit in their massage chair while I wait for my eye brow appointment. I will definitely be coming back here, great service.

I had a lovely haircut from Becky here. The salon is cute. The prices are affordable. They offer a variety of services. The only thing thats kinda a pain is trying to find parking. So I suggest if you an appointment, to leave early because you may spend a good 15-20 minutes to park.

First word that comes to mind for this review is, AMAZING! I was referred to by a coworker to James, but he was unavailable. I looked at the high reviews, and saw Beckys name lauded numerous times and made an appointment with her. She definitely met the high expectations I had for my hair, and I will absolutely be coming back to her! Thank you, Becky! I love it! The receptionist, Katie, was friendly, and the atmosphere automatically made me feel welcome. I will be recommending her Becky to anyone asking for a stylist.

It is my wholehearted belief that the Aveda Institutes are doing a disservice to their students in not providing a complete education; currently, the Aveda Institute Denver only offers a duel licensure esthetics/massage or “spa” program – apparently they got some clue. I hate to think of how many are suffering the consequences of a poor private education as I am. I need compensation or vindication of some sort for the damages that I have incurred though I know that I will never see any help from Aveda.

I found this place on google and I loved it. Elias was cutting my hair and it turned out perfect. I would come back again and would recommend.

1st they rescheduled my appointment to another day that was completely not the day offered. Next I arrive for my appointment and while in the chair they come back and say “I don’t have enough developer to finish your hair and we cannot get anymore today because it’s Sunday, but we have options!” (Mind you they called to confirm my appointment the day before) We can reschedule for another week out or I can use the other one u do have and see what color we come out with! “ Seriously!? I don’t recommend this place, I’m prepared and a huge lack of communication between their staff!

WORST experience ever at this unprofessional salon last Saturday...my friend was a regular customer at this salon and decided to book her whole wedding party (8 of us) to get our hair done. We were supposedly booked every half hour. I arrived at my scheduled 8:30 am appointment time, which is the time the salon opens and no one was there and the salon was closed. I called and text the stylist and his phone was off. I waited around till 9 am because the bride asked me to and finally I see this girl running out if her car and was hoping it was an employee. It sure was, she asked me to wait while she opened up the salon which I did and then she let me in. She told me she was running late because she had car trouble, I let her know that I had an 8:30am appointment and it was already nine and that I tried to contact the stylist with no success. She told me that our wedding party wasnt on the schedule and she didnt know what was going on. I was like are you serious what do you mean were not on the schedule?!?!? Its my friends wedding day!!! I called the bride and she was like I scheduled it myself with my stylist(while shes losing her mind). The girl asked me to wait while she called her manager to explain the problem to her and to see what she could do. She went to the back of the salon and came back and told me that the stylist was fired and that she was waiting for her manager to call her back to figure out what they were going to do. I asked her what time would that be and she couldnt tell me. So I let her know that the wedding was at 1 pm and we didnt have anymore time to waste. I couldnt believe what was happening!!!!!! And not to mention there was another customer waiting for her stylist to show up for her 9 am appointment and it was already 9:15 am. Maybe her stylist was also running late or maybe they also got fired, who knows. It was a great way, to ruin my friends wedding day, let me tell you. So if your looking for a professional salon to ruin your wedding day or keep you waiting this is the place for you. Beware when dealing with this salon.

Great experience at this salon. My stylist was Ken and he did an amazing job. This was my first positive experience in trying to get my hair blonde. Listened to exactly what I wanted and looked at all the pictures I had for what I expected. I highly recommend him.

Antonio is amazingly talented! He is a master hairstylist and makeup artist. He is flawless when it comes to waxing my eyebrows and applying my makeup. Had a stylist whose name starts with a “K” who THOUGHT she was some creative genius. Thinned my hair out which I thought was great until I washed my hair: there were SEVERAL sections, thankfully in the back, that were two inches long! Would have been ok but the rest of my hair was 6-8 inches long. The scary part was she said to a fellow stylist “I don’t know why some people are afraid to use these..” (thinning shears) That should have been my first clue. Plus, she had NO IDEA how to tone my hair....the highlights were orange and only got worse as the days passed. Scares me because “Ky..” left the salon and allegedly went to manage a slash n cut type chain salon. I tried calling her as she gave me her cell number and shocker, she has not returned my call. I’m not thrilled about the “talent” at this particular salon.

Marvelous haircut and deep-conditioning treatment from James! I wanted my short hair to look polished, and James gave an excellent razor-cut bob, that looks swell when I blow-dry or air-dry it. I loved the atmosphere of Bilasita- everyone was SO nice, and the salon has a big-city feel, and smells like Aveda- earthy and clean. Im definitely going to make regular appointments!

Im visiting from North Carolina I stumbled upon a groupon for this beautiful salon. James took EXCELLENT care of me. From color, to deep conditioning, to cut and style I was thoroughly impressed. I have thick, curly hair and Ken is such a pro at blow drying my hair. He leaves it looking silky smooth, with zero frizz, and beautiful volume. If you have curly hair, and you want the perfect blow out, go to Ken. He is a pro!

I had a cut and color done here. I was transitioning from dark brown to a lighter color so it would look more natural over the summer. Instead of stripping my hair of the color, they just added bright blonde highlights. The cut wasnt even and the color job was terrible. When I went back in to get the cut and color fixed, they tried to charge me all over again when it was supposed to be free.

Usually great service but today waited over 45 minutes and the esthetician never showed up. Had been going for over 1.5yrs ☹

Terrible “salon”. I came here to get my nails done and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was also told that the owners would contact me regarding my experience and they never did (just goes to show how much they actually care about clients). They are not properly equipped to perform nail services in this salon. All of their gel polishes have been tampered with and altered (stretched) so go for the “mood” colors apparently those are the only quality ones. Don’t get a pedicure, the chairs are broken, and they do not have a drying station, which would mean don’t go for a manicure either. The staff is extremely friendly, however seem to be quite green, unless you want to have to go to another salon to fix the mess they create, I would strongly urge you to reconsider wasting any money here.

I just drove from placitas for an appointment that I booked in November. Walked to the front door and they are closed till the end of the week! The least they could have done is call their clients with previously made appointments. Guess who is no longer a loyal customer, don’t waste your time here they obviously don’t care.

I decided it had been long enough that i had gone without nails. I was excited to see new ownership nail salon in Coronado mall. I got my nails done and by the 3rd day of having them, 4 popped off. Even while I had a client in my office. (embarrassing) I am not one to complain but got them on Saturday and Tuesday 4 nails were off. When I called the salon I shared what happened with Juanita & said she understands and come in free of charge and she would take care of me Saturday 1:00pm. I was excited and 20 minutes before 1:00 I was called and told said she had no time for me Saturday . At that point they lost my business . Very disappointed. I was even going to pay the girl Juanita for my set because she was willing to take care of me. I was the customer out 50 dollars and by Saturday no nails left on my hands.

I decided to give this place a try because it was close to where I live and I found a great deal on Groupon. I have to say I was pretty impressed. I got a great haircut and deep conditioning. I will definitely be going back here over my usual which is Supercuts or someplace like that.

While I did get a great color job from Tony on one of my visits, I was so very dissatisfied with the undercut I received the last time I went there. After showing pictures of what I wanted of a modest undercut and asking to lower the shave line, I ended up with most of the back of my head shaved. Totally not what I indicated I wanted. Either he did what he wanted or wasnt capable of giving me what I wanted and winged it. Im so insecure about my hair now and I am left to figure out a 2+ year regrowth period. Additionally, I would not recommend getting a bikini wax there now that Ive had one from a professional waxing salon. I really wanted to like this place and the people are nice but Im just so bummed out by my service.

Dont ever go here! Rudest staff ever! From calling to schedule to showing up they really arent in the customer service business. Bad customer service and communication we were paying with Groupon and they said we couldnt get our hair and nails done at the same time so they said they would schedule it 2 days later on Wednesday we show up at 9am for them to tell us we have to wait 60 days just to get our hair cuts what a waste of time the receptionist not even paying attention could care less about the customers needs couldnt even ask a simple question are you paying with Groupon or cash for the haircut so that this whole scenario couldve been avoided very upset I wont be coming back to this location

I trusted them with an ash blonde baylage after reading wonderful reviews. I left with my hair blue from the toner and within one week my hair was orange. When I contacted them to ask about fixing it, they want to charge me $150 for ANOTHER baylage. What a scam.

The first time I ever scheduled, my stylist never came and I ended up waiting in the lobby for thirty minutes. Ended up scheduling later in the day- good customer service would have entailed a discount or perk but I was offered none of these. Just a weak apology and I still had to wait for my other appt.I am a firm believer in giving places a second chance so I rescheduled this year. A day before my appt they informed me that the receptionist had scheduled my slot incorrectly and booked someone right after me so I couldn’t do a balyage. Again- good customer service would have entailed calling the person scheduled after me to reschedule since I was scheduled before them and had called before them, but somehow I was punished for the receptionists mistake.The day of my appointment (an hour before) they tell me that the stylist wouldn’t be going in so they could do my hair later that day with a different person. Where do I start with how mismanaged, poorly trained, understaffed this place is. I don’t even want anyone working there to come ten feet from my hair because if the scheduling is that bad, I can’t imagine the cuts.Spend the extra $20 at a place where they care about you.

Do NOT go here to get waxed. Ive been getting waxed every month for the past 5 years, I have lived in 3 states since then, so I have been to a LOT of different salons. This was the worst wax I have ever received. To begin with, the esthetician did not step out of the room while I undressed and got on the table. Out of the 20+ salons I have been to, this is the only time that this has happened. Usually the esthetician will give the client 3-5 minutes to undress and get settled, as well as provide a towel for comfort. Instead I was told to undress in front of her, which made me slightly uncomfortable. The esthetician chose to only use hard wax, which I have never had in any waxing experience. The wax was very hot, too hot, but she informed me that that was pretty much how hot it needed to be. It was quick and relatively pain free- which had me worried. Typically having hair removed isnt painless. She did not give me a mirror, or leave the room while I was getting dressed (also odd), so I didnt have a chance to really check things out. Also, typically an esthetician will provide wet wipes to clean up with- but again not here. So I get home and guess what- Im still covered in hair! Hair everywhere! Some in patches, some one or two strays. Typically if there is a stray hair the esthetician will pluck it, but again, not here. Since I wasnt given any products to clean up with, I was also still covered with bits of wax- and a huge chunk on my thigh. SAVE YOU MONEY- this place is not worth it even though its a bit cheaper than other salons.

James is a master, he took my severely bleached hair back to its original color and somehow made it healthy again. Id recommend this place to a friend for sure!

I went in for a brown red ombre. The dye they used hardly showed up at all and so the hairdresser scheduled another appointment in 2 weeks to fix it up. I get a call from the receptionist to confirm the appointment again the day before, which I confirmed. When I went in for my 2nd appointment, I waited 40 minutes after the time I was scheduled for the hairdresser to finally walk up to me and tell me they werent expecting me because I didnt make an appointment ahead of time. I asked Are you sure? Because YOU specifically are the one who scheduled this appointment and picked the date. So the hairdresser and the receptionist spend 10 minutes kind of panicking while looking at their computer before the hairdresser decides to do my hair. I guess she completly forgot what it was I asked for because she dyes my entire head red instead of just redoing the ends of the ombre. This is some of the worst professionalism I have ever seen in a salon and for the price I paid everything should have been flawless. Everyone I know thought I had bottled dyed it because of how bad it looked.

My brother in law and I had an appointment today for his birthday. He had never had a mani-pedi before. I had recently stopped biting my fingernails as well and was looking forward to my first manicure ever. We purchased a Groupon for this salon HUGE MISTAKE. The salon called today on the day of the appointment to cancel TWO HOURS before we were scheduled. I explained to Rachel the receptionist that this was a birthday gift and they were essentially ruining my brother in laws birthday, I got a half assed sorry and a garbage explanation that the other person doing the mani pedi “wasn’t comfortable” doing it so they could only do one. Furious I cancelled, hung up, and immediately contacted Groupon for a refund. I can’t comprehend the level of unprofessionalism at this salon, I am a professional makeup artist and I keep my appointments. Thanks for ruining my brother in Laws birthday. You guys absolutely suck.

Got a Groupon deal for my daughter after she went to another salon that did a horrible cut and balayage job. Her appointment was with Becky. When she was done, the cut was perfect and the color was gorgeous! A few months later, I got a Groupon for myself to get a cut and balayage. About an hour and a half before my appointment, I got a call saying that my stylist had to leave. I live out of town and came to ABQ just for this appointment so I was pretty disappointed. Because I knew what a good job Becky had done, I also told a friend about the Groupon and she was weary at first but got it anyway. Her appt. was with Elias. My friend told him that I was supposed to be getting my hair done too but had to reschedule. He told me he could do mine while my friends hair was processing. I am so glad I decided to let him do my hair. 1. Because I didnt have to go back another day and 2 because he did an amazing job. I LOVE my hair and the colors! I have reffered 6 people who have also got the Groupon deal because they are amazing and know what theyre doing. Everyone there is so nice! I recommend both Becky and Elias since I have seen the results from both.

I have yet to have an appt at this salon. Instead, they have rescheduled my appt TWICE already. They first time they called to reschedule my appt, she did not actually mark me down for the new appt, so when they called me, 30 minutes before the newly rescheduled appt time, to reschedule me a second time, they did not even know when my appt was suppose to be. I am very very disappointed that I will be having to wait yet another day, to get my hair done.I hope they have at least scheduled me with someone who is going to do a fabulous job in order to get this rating mark higher.EDIT - Jordan did a FABULOUS job on my hair. Would have preferred more blond highlights, instead of the brown she put in my hair, otherwise I am VERY PLEASED with how my hair turned out!And AWESOME deep conditioning treatment. It really changed the texture and feel of my hair. Love it!

The equipment was dirty. There was some dirt under my fingernail that wasnt removed. Nails were not completely filed, there were many rough edges. The salon was very cold (it was a very cold day) as if the heat wasnt working.

Worst Brazilian Wax experience ever! She stayed in the room while I undressed, the sheet I was told to lie on was disgusting. I went home to find patches of hair all over & to top it off I had wax stuck to my inner thighs.
