We had a car rental reservation and went to the car rental station at the airport and we were treated rudely. They stated that our rental was for the Lomas road dealer. The attendant at the airport stated our car was probably already rented out and we would not receive a car. We called the Lomas Road location and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. Everyone at that location bent over backwards to help us. We even got a little bit bigger car for no extra funds. This was one of my best car rental experiences and I am a frequent traveler. Thanks again to all of you!
Reserved and paid for a car weeks in advance and when I showed up they said they were out of cars and my rental had a “tire problem” and was not available. My trip would have been screwed if I wasn’t able to rent from a competitor down the street. Lots of cars for sale on the lot though…
Excellent customer service. I had to add a driver to my reservation and Lucas there was very friendly and efficient. Best Hertz customer service experience ever.
I got very desapointed because you guys havent give my refund is already more than 2 weeks. After you guys denide me a vehicle because your new policy allowed pay only with credit card not debit card. I demanding my money as soon as possible. Also I am not the only customers whom havent get refund .
This place is awesome! Eric at Hertz on Lomas BLVD. Albuquerque, NM location was very helpful throughout the entire process. I called several times for information and concerns about schedule and vehicle. Eric was always available and professional which was a total delight. Im writing this review in hopes that Eric’s GM/Regional manager take notice. It is VERY hard to get this kind of service during the pandemic. I booked a rental car a week and a half in advance and the day that I showed up not a single person from their rental side was there and they turned me away saying there’s nothing they could do about it and I should go to the airport hertz…Now I’m understanding why this company is going out of business.
Hertz is a very good car rental company. The rental agents are very professional. I just rented out a VW Beetle turbo car from them its a fun little car to drive. If I have to rent out another car again I would definitely go with Hertz car rental.

Call the San Mateo & Academy location instead for actual customer service.The people I spoke to on the phone @ Lomas location were extremely unhelpful and just kept repeating the same thing to me over and over without attempting to even look up my reservation. I finally had to tell them to just stop talking in order for them to even attempt to look it up. I had a rental through my insurance company and they would not honor it. I was able to troubleshoot by calling two other locations, but this location didnt even suggest that as an option. Stay away.
TERRIBLE SERVICE! No one answers the phone and the voicemail box is full so you cant leave a message. Finally after getting in touch with someone and I set up a time for them to pick me up from Quanz Auto Body, the driver was 45 minutes late and never apologized. He was talking on his cell phone when pulling into the parking lot (not hands free). On the way to the Hertz shop to drop me off he had the nerve to ask if he could make another pick-up. The person who took care of me at the Hertz place also didnt care whether I was now running late or that I couldnt call and get in touch with someone.
It was okay but the car that was supposed to be upgraded II was absolutely horrible it was a rogue sport dont ever rent that car for a trip. The back seat belt like a hard piece of wood there was absolutely no way to travel in we had to go somewhere else unfortunately.
Outstanding service!
Rented a vehicle online and received a confirmation number, but when we showed up the rental section of the office was closed. The car rental was for Saturday to Saturday, but the office is closed on weekends. We could not reach anyone locally or at corporate headquarters as both had full voice mailboxes. This morning, Monday we have been on hold for over 3 hours and still have yet to receive a refund or a car rental. It is no wonder this company is going bankrupt.
Poor attitude and even lesser impressed with fleet
This place is an absolute mess no one answers the phone they rented me a nearly undriveable car and didnt even explain how to operate it I had it set up with them ahead of time for them to shuttle me to Quanz but when it came time they didnt have any drivers working so disorganized and unprofessional
Phone number listed on the website only allows you to leave a voicemail — but the voice mailbox is full. No wonder this company is bankrupt.
Dirty cars, made arrangements in advance to have someone take me to my destination after returning the car but no available drivers. Had to get a Lyft. All they did was say sorry. Will never use again.
Son in Air Force at Kurtland AFB, the Hertz location took his Social number and did not need too already had loan from the base credit union ! Terrible!
Great service. Eric and Lucas were amazing. This is the best Hertz I’ve been to because Of the staff. They took care of everything, and even upgraded my vehicle. Will always use them when we come back !
