Very nice establishment, thank you for allowing us to hold our annual pest/herbicide control conference. Also thank each and everyone veteran for their service and sacrifice for myself and this country.

American Legion Post 49 is one of the nicest post Ive ever been to. They have the bar area for people that want to sit at the bar and talk. They also have a band area with a large dance floor. They also have a section of tables for non-smokers which usually have tablecloths and flowers. They also have a section for smokers separate and a large screen TV so people can watch football games or sporting events, whatever. In the back they have a gaming area for American Legion Members Only who are of legal age.They have a kitchen which serves food on certain nights, they also do fundraisers with excellent food. All of the people that work at the Post are really nice. The servers Brenda, Clair and Teresa as well as some others are super nice!The exterior of Post 49 is very neat, clean and well lit. The interior of the Post is decorated per season. Its always taken care of and it shows the pride of the people in this Post. My husband and I enjoy going to the post on the weekends, for fundraisers and to go dancing. It is temporarily closed due to Covid, but when it reopens, my husband and I will be going to the Post again.

This place and its staff was amazing sheri was so great I wil definatly go back just to see her. They were very accommodating and made sure we had a great time hall was perfect.

Am so glad that the American Legion wad abel to Open again. It is a private Club for Active Military & Veterans. They are Taking Covid Safety very seriously. Everyone has their temp taken as they enter you must sign in for contact tracing. All tables are set 6 ft. Apart. They are currently using a limited menu but all the food is excellent as always. If you are a member go in if you are not a member consider joining you will not regret it!!!!

The American Legion is an inviting place for everyone. They require a membership which requires having a family member in the armed forces who served. Every penny they make goes to helping veterans and their families. They fund housing for veterans. Every year they buy hundreds of toys for kids who are in need. they feed the homeless on many different occasions especially on thanksgiving including it all! They send their juniors to girls state to learn about government, fund baseball, and nurses! Hand out tooth brushes toiletries and dog food to those in need. Halloween Parties for the kids. you name it! This is an organization you should be visiting or donating too if you want your money to go to a good cause in the Albuquerque community! Not only do they do good for the community they make a very nice and enjoyable environment for everyone to hang out and become a family! If you hang out here for too long you will want to help with events and become active! They also have two very spacious venues that members and non members can rent for birthdays, weddings, etc. and they do an amazing job at not only decorating but catering, serving and helping all of your event needs! dont be discouraged of the old vintage décor/building. This is one of the most active posts in New Mexico. You will be surprised of how friendly people are here and will treat you like family! This post needs new members from younger generations to keep the legacy going and to continue serving those who served us.. Stop in, try it out!

I absolutely love American Legion it is a great place for our military and vets I would go more often if I still drink usually extremely great people to talk to and learn a little bit about history because of the older folks that come here the last time I went here was before my uncle passed away which was a marine veteran in the Vietnam War miss him to death the last pictures we took here for the last pictures I ever had of him so there will always be very fond memories of him

Good friendly people all the time and the food is fantastic. Havent ever had not even one complaint. A great place to eat, dance, and talk.

Live music and a full kitchen Friday and Saturday nights, very friendly staff, and a nice place to relax after a busy week. They have special events throughout the month; I look forward to prime rib night. If youre a military veteran you should check it out.

Horrible place. Has ruined my family. They over serve alcohol. Allow drunken gambling. Police should watch this place. Servers are responsible too! Stay away. Beware.

Staff was friendly, good space, but they had two weddings at once and the sounds conflicted with each other. Also their air conditioning was out in the middle of summer and with so many people it made it very hard to stay for long even with fans going.

We have been coming to the post for over year. Food is good. Staff is wonderful. We had my sisters wedding here and it was awesome?

Dont really know how to compare with others types of similar establishments as I dont normally frequent them. This is the only one Ive been to and then only one a year for a license plate collectors meet.

I take my elderly here to visit, as this was his hangout spot. When ever I bring him by everyone comes up to say hello and ask him how he is doing. Some even share memories that they had. Staff always looks out for him.

Always great music and dancing.

Love these guys, their beer is always good and their food is always delicious. Thank you from the biker community for always accommodating us!

Staff is nice. Food was a little slow coming out. Chicken was undercooked. Probably will not return to eat.

Unfortunately I was there for a funeral receipt but the drinks were more than generous, and inexpensive. Thanks staff was very friendly.

If you are looking for a good American Legion post, and there are plenty, find another one. Ignorant and rude civilian help, and that is nothing more than a lack of leadership. This post does not make the Legion look good.
