Chets was referred to me by another BMW owner so I took my E46 M3 there to have a suspension issue checked out and for new brakes. I was told in the past the car would need new front struts (very expensive), but Chets was able to solve the issue with just an alignment. John was my contact person and worked hard to then resolve the brakes issue. He ultimately recommended replacing all 4 rotors and 4 pads, and found as close to OEM as he could, keeping high performance rotors on all four wheels and recommending switching to carbon pads, all things I had already realized I wanted to do via my own research, so it was reassuring to know they were recommending the same thing. Due to a supply issue and a pressing need to have my car for an upcoming organized drive, John still found a solution that got my M3 ready in time and just at the budget I had mentioned I was comfortable with for all the repairs. I had previously only taken my M3 to the local BMW dealership, but now I will not hesitate to take this high performance and very specialized vehicle to Chets for all future needs. And I will be bringing my Jeep not to the Jeep dealer anymore, but to Chets for its alignment needs too. It is refreshing to have an experience with a local ABQ business that is actually professional and competent, and also friendly. If you have a high performance vehicle, or any vehicle, I would go here first for alignment and suspension issues for sure, it saved me a ton of money doing so. Thank you John and the team at Chets!

Very professional with outstanding customer service.Spoke with John and he handled all my scheduling as well as mechanical information after the alignment. While I was waiting I overheard a phone conversation that John was handling and was impressed with his patient manner in explaining things.

Toke in my 1979 Chevy K10 4W drive. One year ago. Not a fav on giving reviews until i know everything was done right. I had my whole front end replaced, tie rods, ball joints, idler arm, front stabilizer arm and front shock. While in the shop they replaced my steering box at cost along with a power steering pump and lines that where going bad with my ok of course. Everything they did was amazing and the price was a lot lower then i even thought it would be. Taking it back in for additional work this week for more work as i restore this truck. They are really good !!!

Would highly recommend anyone to stop by and get their vehicle serviced here. Talked to other alignment shops and even the dealership to get my vehicle serviced and none of them would do it. Spoke with John to get my car situated and was able to get me in relatively quickly. The car came out to spec when it was finished and was driving as it should. Super helpful employees and will definitely be doing business here again.

Thieves! They will take your money and screw you! Just had my truck aligned after putting brand new tires on, charged me $233. Steering wheel is not straight and it walks all over the road! Called to get it back in and Gary told me it would be 10 days before he could realign the truck. Then he got an attitude and hung up on me. This place is a rip off and they’re customer service is even worse!

I had an unusual issues where the lift for my truck was installed incorrectly. They figured it out quickly and resolved the issue themselves.

Quoted me $900 for a wheel alignment. They said because my truck as a 1.5 lift that itd cost much more then a regular alignment. I paid $78 dollars for an alignment at delta tire and have had no issues. This was over 3 years ago and about 50k miles ago and I cant believe cheats nearly got the best of me.

Not really to much to say about this place as I only stopped in to get a quote for repair service. What I can say that during my journey on finding a place with a fair price to provide those service, Chets was not among the average. My normal price quote was around $700-$1000 range as where I was quoted $1500 at Chets.

I was told by a mechanic to use Chets. They will align your car just factory specification.

If you are looking for a fancy waiting room this is not the place for you. Due to covid I was required to sit outside.They were able to complete service quickly and my car drives great. I took my new vehicle to dealership and they could not align it right.It took less than an hour and they explained everything they did!! When my wife hits another curb we will be back!

My first visit was great got my custom JDM Subaru aligned there and they even caught that one of my wheel bearings was going out. My second visit they replaced the wheel bearing and hub. They said it would be under warranty for 12 months or 12000 miles. The bearing or hub was installed incorrectly and I took it back after 11450 miles when I noticed it from how bad it had gotten. They were rude, unprofessional and wouldnt stand behind theyre warranty/work. They tried to say I must have hit a curb or something and looked for any reason for it to not be covered under warranty, including saying we took it apart. The alignment is still perfect just to prove I havent hit anything. When I took off the hub myself after they wouldnt help me out, I took it to Subaru and they stayed the bearing had been installed off set and wasnt straight. Thats coming from a Subaru professional so I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Also if your gonna get an alignment go to your nearest Firestone theyll give you a LIFETIME alignment for like 149$ and will stand behind theyre work, not give you excuses, give you advice such as if you need a tie rod (when you actually do) and if you go get work done at another shop you can bring it back and get the alignment checked for no cost!

Friendly customer service but I had an alignment done and now my truck is wearing down one tire and I took it back and thats when they tell me there is no warranty on there alignment but $160.00 there should be.

Chets is very honest, fair, will show you whats wrong with your vehicle. I have used them as a second opinion to the dealership and in a couple of instances they have saved me several hundred dollars. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else for wheel alignment related issues.

BLUF: Awesome alignment shop!The guys working there are great and go into a good amount of detail about what was done and why... I took my 2018 Forester XT in for an alignment (as I just lifted my vehicle)... Chets has Nowhere!! set up to wait for customers while their service is being done. They said I would have to wait outside. They have not set up anywhere outside with chairs or shade. NOTHING.We are 6 months into the new reality of Covid-19 restrictions and Chets has not bothered to extend some customer service by creating an outside waiting room with shade and seating, something many many businesses in Albuquerque has done for their customers.The man behind the lexan shield they were able to provide for their saftly, kept say Im sorry when I said I couldnt wait standing out in the 98 degree sun for an hour. I asked about any alternative and he wouldnt even let me take a chair ourside.I made an appt. for wheel alignment. I waited three days although other shops could get me in same day because of their good reviews.I arrived on time to the appointment. I knew there would be about an hour to wait for the work to be completed. Not a word was said to me that I would have to wait outside.BIG FAIL CHETS.

I did get the alignment but when getting on the freeway, it started to shake when the speed was at 70. The alignment wasnt done correctly.

This is the best car shop I’ve ever been to! I have been multiple times and every time they are very helpful to explain exactly what is going on with my car, and they always are friendly and fast! I only use these guys now. I never ever feel ripped off like I do at dealerships or other car places, they always work to get me a fair price.

From the day I came in with questions through the end of my services, John was awesome. I was able to secure an appointment within a 48 hour time frame with no problem. On appointment day I was able to meet more staff who were just as awesome. All my questions were answered, they took the time to show me everything they checked during inspection and gave me honest and fair recommendations. I ended up getting an alignment during my visit and I have zero complaints. I highly recommend them!!

Gary is always great to talk to on the phone - friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Chets does great work and I never worry about extra costs being tacked on to my bill because of the fair estimates. I know some places are a little bit cheaper for alignment and I can get my tires balanced for free at my tire store, but these guys did a great job. It was well worth a few extra bucks to know it was done right and feel a difference in my ride. Its really nice to have peace of mind at this auto shop I can trust.

My family has owned a front end alignment shop in Tucson since 1968. I worked there many years and in the course of working there gained a working knowledge about front ends. Because of this, I feel I can speak with some authority when I say that the nice folks at Chets know what they are doing. When I moved here I worked at another garage down the street from Chets and we always trusted our front end work to Chets - with good reason! They are very knowledgeable and honest - a desirable combination! I no longer work at a garage as I am busy raising 3 kids - but I do still use their services and recommend them to friends and strangers alike. We have been having alignments preformed there and parts replaced as needed on our various vehicles for over 10 years now. I especially recommend them to other Women as they have always been very professional and respectful toward me. They keep a tidy shop with a comfortable and clean waiting area. Keeping your car alignedand keeping your vehicles linkage in good repair will save your tires and perhaps even your life. I have my vehicles alignment checked once a year and always right after I get a new set of tires. It is without reservations that I recommend them.

Great costumer service

I liked them. When I called to make an appointment, they were courteous and only made me wait a few days. They seem to be fairly well booked. When I arrived for the maintenance a few minutes early, they were quick to start the paperwork and got my vehicle in on time. That almost never happens anymore. The job was fast and the bill was actually less than the estimate they gave me on the phone. Ill go there again.

Chets did a great job, including a really thorough review of my whole suspension and steering system. They highlighted potential problem areas and advised on necessary and preventative next steps, without pressuring me to do anything through them. I really appreciated the amount of detail they provided in their assessment and the alignment job they did was very thorough and data driven. Thanks!

This is, by far, the best alignment shop I have ever used in my 35 years of owning dozens of different European cars. They did a perfect job on my BMW. They were quick, efficient and friendly. And they are reasonable. They might be a little more than the chain auto shops but you get what you pay for.

I have used Chets several times for the alignment and balancing on my 6 lifted F150 with 35 tires. Ive gone the cheaper route for balancing and always come back to Chets. There is no doubt the Road Force balancing gets way better results compared to a typical spin balance. Ive always been happy with their performance and customer service. No more cheap guy route for me.

The customer service i received from John was upstanding. When i went back to pick up my vehicle he had printouts waiting to show me the before and after alignment results. Being a woman that was incredibly helpful to me. Thanks Chets for doing such a stand-up job!

Jon is an excellent service writer. He is friendly and calls me with updates and completion information every time I have taken my truck to Chets. The alignments are always good and they have always done their best to provide same day service. I recommend calling ahead to verify they can get to your vehicle for same day service.

Had a front end alignment on my 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 p/u. Friendly, courteous people who do GREAT work. Gary thoroughly explained the procedure and told me some things about alignments and balancing that Ive never heard before. Prompt, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, friendly, vert good at what they do, clean waiting area (a TV would be a nice adder). What more could I ask? 5 stars!

Has an excellent reputation as a locally owned business. They were unable to do an alignment on my newly acquired vintage car due to issues with the car but were good to explain the issues so that I can have the repirs done. I would definetly take my other vehicle there for alignment.

2019 F150 4 wheel Alignment after leveling kit installed there was no camber caster kits needed but was told by other Chets said they would let me know if needed they could have easily charged me but they are honest and reliable shop.Thanks Chets

I would NEVER recommend Chets Wheel Alignment to anyone. I paid full price for an alignment that could not be completed because I was told they could not correctly tighten a control arm bolt. I had not problem putting the car back correctly and with a flex-head ratchet they could have done the same and added the shims. They said they could complete the alignment once it was fixed however I would have to pay full price again! After arguing with them for not completing the full service I was told they would give me a $10 discount when I brought it back in which is ridiculous. I was Charged $98 with tax for 30 minutes of work! The staff was rude and unprofessional. I have worked in diesel shops and am knowledgeable enough about cars to know when I am being cheated. I do my own repairs on the fully restored classic vehicle I brought in. I dont have the tools or equipment to perform my own alignments. The website claims Satisfaction Guaranteed however I dont know how anyone would be happy dealing with these people. After speaking with fellow car enthusiast about my experience, they too have experienced the same problems with Chets. They are full of excuses for they hurried half done work. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICHLE HERE!!!

After having an alignment done at Chets, this is the first time since Ive owned the car that the steering wheel is straight!! Gary did a great job lining her up, and kept me up to date with what he was doing along the way. I was very comfortable leaving my car with them, and after seeing so many classics parked out front day to day, I knew they would know best for my 72 Camaro. I have had four vehicles checked at Chets I have never experienced any problems with them or the work they perform. They tell me up front exactly what they are going to do and quote me a price. The bill is always as quoted. They do excellent work every time for me. I have taken one of my cars in for a free alignment check. They checked it and did not charge me. After letting my sister in-law borrow my car I had a really bad pull. I took it to a brake masters by my office for an alignment that they claimed they did, certainly charged me for it, and said the vehicle was still going to pull due to a caster issue after they were done and it did. I didnt find that acceptable and had a 3000 mile round trip coming up so I took my car to Chets having heard they were the best in the city from lots of people. Gary, got my car dialed in perfectly, actually didnt even feel like the same car prior to the pull, much more stable in corners and tracked perfectly down the road. I will NEVER get an alignment anywhere else going forward!

Great experience. I have a modified 370z with aftermarket adjustment parts and I have a few other cars that I have had work on from other shops. The other shops that have worked on my others cars can never seem to get it perfect and just do not have the exp needed to work on modified cars. I decided to switch shops and made an apt with Chets.I arrived at apt time and they got the car in within 10 min. I explained that there were aftermarket parts and the car was lowered. Much to my amazement they said it would not be an issue. The tech came out a few minutes later and told me what the limitations of what I have installed were and what he recommended. He was spot on with his knowledge and skills.I waited about 45 min and the car was done. The tech again came out and explained exactly what he stated before hand and again, he was spot on. I took the car and it drives like new.Super professional, knowledgeable staff and I even had a Keurig while waiting. Im a happy customer for life now.

They got me in and out real quick late but. The evening as a waiter. I hate being that guy. Even having to order parts. The company treats the mechanics well, competitively priced to a ton of shops.

I had The Tire Rack ship four new tires to Chets for installation on an F30 BMW. Service was quick, the tech (Gary?) noticed an uneven wear pattern on the old front tires, did an alignment check, and, after receiving permission, did an alignment. Between the new tires, road-force balancing, and the alignment they managed to fix the steering wheel vibration common on F30s that had stumped the dealership. The little things also make a difference; anti-seize applied to the wheel studs, the offer to bag the retained old tires, the delivery of pre- and post-alignment system printouts, the seemingly rare ability to mount and balance performance tires without marring the wheels, etc. When my truck needs new tires and an alignment I will definitely return.

Ordered a set of 4 tires from Tire Rack. Installation costs were half of the cost of high quality tires. Tim was a nice person to deal with, and they do have a good technology for wheel alignments. Unfortunately had to go back because of a defect with a Tire Racks tire and had to deal with Gary who was rude on the phone and in person and had to take my business somewhere else. I would rather pay twice than have to deal with someone who has no understanding of customer service.

They sure did a wonderful job on wheel alignment and balance.I’ve tried too many places but problem still there and these guys 1 time fixed all.Very professional knowledge, they called me and explained what cause the problems, picked up my car next day and it was solved, no more steering wheel shaking, cabin vibrating minimized a lot.Not like other places that you just drop off your car then “ Hello, your vehicle is ready “ and problem still there, urgg !!Thumps up for these guys. Tim and Gary are knowledgeable, but they are very grumpy men that hate explaining things to customers that are ignorant of automotive repair or maintenance. They make me feel like I am inconveniencing them. They get defensive and are narcissistic. My last visit, my car was aligned. My car seems to be driving better. The work was done in a timely manner. There are other good places that want my business. I am tired of being afraid to ask questions and understand the items being repaired. I will not return.

Excellent customer service - top marks to Rob. Cater to non-standard - my car is lowered with Ireland Engineering toe and camber kit. Appreciate Gary checking up and asking pertinent questions.

Expensive and worth it. If youve ever tried to get a decent alignment elsewhere and have looked at the before/after measurements, youll understand how a $50 alignment special isnt worth the paper its written on. Chets gets it right the first time (and according to either your specifications or OEM specs)

Dont go to Chets Wheel Alignment. They have a reputation for making customers feel good, but thats all Ill give them. I went in for a typical alignment on a 96 Ford F-250 Diesel 4x4. They completed the alignment. However, they tried to upsell a significant amount of work. They said I needed to replace the front left inner tie rod, both front wheel bearings, cams for alignment, power steering pump with lines, axle pivot bushings and rebuild the front driveline. Thats a lot of money. So I took it to Aron at Universal Tires for a second opinion. He showed me how all the tie rods need to be replaced. Thats all that would affect an alignment (my only goal at Chets). Other than that, I knew I needed new u-joints and a high pressure power steering line. Ill give them two stars for a good alignment, but Im not convinced their integrity is worthy of being labeled an honest mechanic. Beware of any mechanic where youre not speaking with the actual mechanic doing the work. Beware of a squeaky clean front end.

Was able to get a very accurate laser alignment for my Miata for a very reasonable price. The guy doing my alignment seemed very knowledgeable and definitely knew what he was doing. Will do business with in the future.

After buying new tires and being quoted north of seven hundred dollars for an alignment and new wheel bearings at the Big O on Menaul, I took my truck to Chets. He did the job the same day I brought it in, saved me several hundred dollars, and the total even ended up being less than what he quoted me. Great work for a great price. Thank you, sir.

Fast accurate service. Good diagnosis of all steering issues I had without trying to sell me anything.

Showed the guy at the front desk my alignment report that my front left camber was one degree positive out of range after installing a lift and he told me my axle was damaged without looking at my Jeep Renegade and that he couldnt do anything about fixing camber. Its funny cause I took it down the street to a competitor and they got my alignment within factory specs. Must not have wanted my business too bad.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! PLEASE! I DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY CALL THIS A FALSE ALLEGATION, WHEN IT REALLY HAPPENED. CHETS WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS THE ONLY SHOP TO WORK ON THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE BEFORE THE LUG NUT FELL OFF AND THE REMAINING LUG NUTS WERE NOT TIGHTENED.Chets Alignment forgot to tighten my lug nuts on my automobiles rear passenger wheel. One fell off. My car received a camber shim during a four wheel alignment. I noticed a wobble driving home. It was loose lug nuts with one missing. Luckily, I caught it in time and tightened the remaining lug nuts. Tim charged $92.60 plus tax.06/14/2018 2:00 PM Just called Chets Alignment and talked to John. I explained who I was and what happened. He said he read my google review and said that it did not happen. He said they have surveillance and that the lug nuts were correctly installed onto my vehicle and that he does not believe me. I explained that the lug nuts were put on the vehicle but not torqued otherwise a lug nut would have not fallen off and I would not have had to torque the remaining lug nuts. Bottom line, He said he did not believe me. I was hoping they would at least look at the wheel and double check that the work was done properly and replace my lug nut, but they said their surveillance verifies everything, though they would not let me view the surveillance video. Nobody is perfect, including a Chets Alignment Technician. I let him know I would not be returning. The arrogance of this shop is awful, between Tim and John. I have had enough. This is another old business that has eliminated good customer service.06/15/2018 12:00 Just received a call from Gary. Called me, because he said he saw the surveillance video and the lug nuts were torqued and that there may be a problem with my wheel and that is why the lug nuts did not tighten up properly. Gary wanted to know who put the one lug nut on my wheel because he wanted to know if there was a problem observed with the wheel and there is a concern for safety. I said the wheel was fine after I torqued the remaining lug nuts and replaced and torqued the missing lug nut and that was it. Gary would not let me view the surveillance video. I stated that I do not want to waste anymore time with Chets Wheel Alignment and I do not trust them. I let him know that I appreciated the call and I which John would have shown the same concern yesterday.06/20/2018 Customers Response to Chets Wheel Alignments Response:Chets Wheel Alignment has a Warranty on their invoice. A Warranty is worthless if the company does not believe their customers. Go somewhere else for customer service.I am not sure what Garys intentions were. I am not sure why he contacted me. As you can see by their response, it did not change their position. I told Gary I did not want to waste anymore time on this problem, because I took care of the missing and loose lug nuts myself.To repeat, after my initial phone call to John, when he said I was making things up and Chets would do nothing, I had to immediately take care of the problem or I could not drive my vehicle. I tightened up the remaining lug nuts. I went to another shop and they installed a matching lug nut at no cost. I hardly call that a repair.I was hoping John would respond similarly to the other shop by having me come in and inspect their work and replace a lug nut.This complaint was about one wheel (rear right) as I stated previously. The wheel had to be removed for a camber adjustment. Improper installation of mag flat seat shank style lug nuts occurs when they are not fully threaded and seated into the wheel before torquing. The washer on the lug nut should be flat against the wheel before torquing.BOTTOM LINE: I do not trust these guys and will not be returning.08/05/2018 Update: When on a 5038 mile road trip this summer with my family. Lug nuts are still tight.Properly installed lug nuts do not fall off a wheel. Chets failed and were too arrogant to double check their work because they claim to be perfect.

Excellent work! Although they are a little rough around the edges when it comes to a smile and phone courtesy, but they are serious about their business. They know what they are doing and doing it very well!

Guy was rude when he answered sounded like he didnt even want to be at work but I tried to see if I could get a quote on some work, again continued to be what I felt as rude .. places like this who have people like that work/represent them make themselves look bad ....... smh

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.I didnt know you really need an appointment, but I got lucky and they squeezed me in anyway. They have a Hunter balancer and actually know how to use it. Ive had tires balanced all over North America, and the only other shop Ive found that truly knows how to get vibration out of a car is up in Boise, Idaho.To the reviewers complaining about attitude, I can only say I dont care about attitude when they know what theyre doing, and these guys do. I took my beater Camry I use for commuting in yesterday which had a terrible balance job done when four new Michelin tires were put on by a different shop. After Chets redid the balance and most importantly, ensured all the wheels were true, it now runs perfectly flat at... extremely high speed. Feels like a brand new car now except for some residual noise due to some uneven tire wear caused by the original bad balance.
