Beware!!!!! I don’t not recommend this location at W Market St in Akron to anyone!!!!! My husband and I took my son’s car in to have an oil change and left with the oil pressure light on and engine ticking. This is the worst place to place to go to. First off, during the oil change process the Tech was unable to get oil cap off, which it get was not his fault but then he called another co worker over to assist. This gentle popped his are out socket trying to get off and then began to wale on the ground until the other coworker popped his arm back in place. The whole performance was overly dramatic frankly because he then got up and all of his coworker just laughed it off. Once they were able to cap off, they then informed me and my husband that the oil filter had fallen apart when taking it out… 15 min in they had all of the workers working to get the pieces that apparently broke off out and blew air in that area to make sure all the particles. They continue to change the engine filter and going through there check point list. When it came time to start the car, the low engine pressure light popped on and engine light. The one gentle went down and to check underneath and came back up saying the car now had leaks from transmission. They asked my husband and I to turn the car back off and supposedly redid everything again but low oil pressure light was still in and the car was running harder and ticking louder. Which was not how we brought the car in. Fast forward, they explained there was nothing they could do and sent us about our way home with the car ticking and the low oil pressure light on and recommended we take to a repair shop. My husband and I never felt good about what occurred once we got home. We took the car to a repair shop yesterday and filled the mechanic in on what happened. He suggested that we contact the manager. Now, when my husband called today the manager knew exactly what car he was referring to and said he send some out to the repair to take a look. However, when my husband called backed to check if anyone from Take 5 Oil and come out to assess the car 4 hours later no had showed up. So my husband called the Manger Brian back he had the audacity to say that. When we left that day he had already noted in his system that the car was fine when it left. How possibly, we can in with no light in and left with the engine, low oil pressure light on and car ticking. I remember when we were there that because it was so many workers working on the car to figure what happened that he forgot he said he had to change the documentation in the system if not everyone would get paid for there time assisting with our car. They argued back in forth if it would be possibly to change the information in the system but I guess it worked because now he saying his documentation states car was okay. We are now having to pay for a new engine and they are denying that they did anything wrong. This is horrible and no one from Take 5 Oil is willing to address the matter

Fast and courteous. A little more expensive but youre paying for the convenience. I felt like they knew what they are doing and didnt try to upsell me anything so I consider this a good backup to my regular service place.

Definitely will not return here.I gave this location chance after chance to see if it may get better but still horrible.1ST. They told me they couldnt do my oil change 3 different times after they told me they could,because my vehicle was a 2020 and they were missing something to do it ( found out they were lying they just didnt want to do my vehicle because its a company car)The other locations even told me that this location should be able to because i guess this is a training location or something2ND after the big guy dropped my glove compartment after trying to check my filter which he DIDNT, he left it, with everything in it on the floor of my car on the passenger side....Every location i go to us good, but this one is really terrible.

The team there were upbeat and did a fast and thorough job. Something didn’t feel right in my tires when I was driving home. It was like there was too much air in the tires. When I checked all the tires when I got home the PSI was 45. My psi it’s supposed to be 32. I had to release air from all four tires. Other than that that it was a really good experience.

They were very polite and went out of their way to make my experience a good one. Job well done

Take 5 did a really good job. Very professional and timely, I was in and out. I really liked staying in my car with the ability to ask questions at that time.

The man was training people on how to do a oil change and took a very long time to do my oil change I understand they need to learn it but not on my car or on my time so I ask him to do it himself and he was talking about he had to teach them never again going back to that one

Most unprofessional experience imaginable. Employees act like animals shouting unintelligible words, only had three types of oils (of course only most expensive) they provide zero confidence they have a clue what their doing. After leaving you’re just relieved to be out of that environment and glad to know that you never have to visit this circus ever again!

Best service ive ever had for an oil change. Less than 8 min oil was changed and wipers replaced and air filled in tires for my bmw. Didnt even realize how fast it was until they were done. Awesome service! Six out of five stars

I love W.Market St. Akron Oh Take 5!! What I love the most is because they are millennials that are so professional& courteous. You dont see them goofing off but yet their work environment appears to be fun and friendly amongst each other. They definitely are a team that accomplish great team work!! 5 star rating!! With that being said!!!!....I dont want to go nowhere else!!

Went there during my lunch break for an oil change. In and out quick. There were three guys working with me(L, JaKobi? And Nick?). Names might not be accurate but they were all very sweet and fun! I was having a terrible day when I went in there. They brightened it up with their great personalities! Thanks guys!

I always have a good experience when I’m here. The people working are kind, skilled, give you great deals. I brought them a battery once and they put it in for free. Tip them.

They did not have the cheapest oil change available which was the only thing that so had a problem with. Other than that, it was quick and efficient!

The first time i went here i was impressed, this time not so much. I got my oil change about 3 days ago, took my car home and parked it. Got in it yesterday backed it up and found a huge oil puddle. So now im laying under my nissan at 4am to figure out whats wrong. Turns out the knucklehead who put the filter on hasnt a clue what the word tight means. So i go to call the company to get some customer service, and i get a message from a robot saying no one is available then just hangs up on me .... i wont go here again. I paid a lot of money to get the oil change done right and i definitely dident get what i paid for.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Take 5 actually took 30. The next day after getting my oil changed my car started giving me notifications that my windshield wash was low which they marked off as completed by the business. I started to come back to have the company top it off like the sheet stated they did but I figured Ill do it myself and just never give them my business again. So here I am today filling up my washer fluid just to take a look and see that my coolant was not topped off either! Its bad enough that I was paying $45 for an oil chang with NO CAR WASH! But a $45 oil change and my fluids werent topped off is a deal breaker for me. Ill stick with Ron Marhoffer where they give an oil change, top off fluids, AND give a FREE car wash for a similar price!

I purchased my truck brand new well used two owners no lights on what do ever very clean truck a month before getting oil change when I left my car was ticking immediately called back up asked to speak with manager ! He told me he would take care of it never did i wanted weeks for a call back I took my truck to get a diagnostic done just for them to tell me I need a new engine due bad oil air there was absolutely nothing wrong especially paying 10k for a truck 🛻 I’m a single mom with three kids I didn’t deserve this just to call now and the guy who changed my oil has walked out and isn’t the manager anymore horrible experience

Very friendly staff. Took a whole lot longer than 10 minutes and I was late to work. But other than that no complaints. I’d return. But only on my day off lol. I drive city bus. I cannot be late!

I was just there to get wiper blades since mine frayed and were hit. I only had to wait a few minutes and the staff was really friendly. They changed my wipers quick, applied a coupon for me and I was in and out. They informed me of deals and specials for future visits as well

I rated this place 5 stars around 2 years ago. I went for an oil change on 8/17/21. They are now 1 star service. I felt as if I was bothering them by asking for the service they provide. Rude and impatient. I didnt get an oil change sticker for my window and they did not reset my oil light as they always have. After the shortness the staff received me with I doubt I will be going back. Thus place use to be almost overly nice and friendly. Not any longer. And if management is reading this the time was around 230 PM on 8/17/21. That garbage crew needs to be addressed. And Im sure I will not be the only one with a similar review.

Leo and D took incredibly good care of us. Even though it was late(30 minutes before closing)and D was on his 2nd day with the company, they were cheerful, courteous, and professional. The young lady in the bay beside us had a problem starting her car after her service was complete. Leo and D ran for a battery charger and got her on her way. It gave me the confidence that, if my wife had a similar issue while at Take 5, they would take as good of care of her. Thanks, Leo and D!

$60 for a high mileage oil change 🙄. I didnt want to pay that much, but the location was very close to my apt and I didnt need an appt. They are higher than what Im used to. Thankfully I was in & out in 15-20 min & the staff was friendly/ informative.

Went there on 22 September They did not check transmission fluid or any fluid for that matter they did not check air pressure of any of my tires one was low (indicator light was on). They attempted to check the air filter instead broke the heads off of two bolts and said it was too tight they couldn’t check it. Did not disclose that they broke the bolts and lost a third when I replaced it myself there was only one left! $90 for an oil change sorry expect a lot better than that

They charged me $70 for an oil change. Originally they told me $97. I have never ever paid over $40 for an oil change. And they put the least amount if oil possible. Not an affordable option.

Good experience. Nice technicians and no wait. I had my screaming infant in the car, as well as my 10yr old. So it was an added benefit that we didnt even need to step out. The oil change even came with a complimentary water and a few packs of fruit snacks to enjoy while we sat in the car. Four stars because it is quite pricey. Make sure to search for an online coupon which I easily found.

Too expensive for just an oil change. They checked the other fluids and tire pressure. They really didnt do anything else. I will only go back in the case of an emergency.

They do a decent job. Make sure you look at your owners manual and get the right weighted oil however. They tried to put 0w20 in my 5w20 recommended vehicle which I corrected. They would get 5 stars if they did tire rotations.

Minor hurry today so I got to Take 5 early. Was first in line of 3. 10 minutes after opening no one here. Had used this location before but will not again. Disappointed.

Staff were friendly and oil change went smoothly but they did not reattach my skid plate properly causing it to scrape against the ground. When I called, they told me they would come to my address to fix it, but then back-tracked and advised me to go to a different Take 5 that could fix it. This location was much further than they initially quoted. He said he would give me 50% off my next oil change. LOL. The staff at the Waterloo Take 5 were very helpful and fixed my issue. I still have not heard back from the district manager to discuss what happened.

It was my first time. It was a confusing experience. Little was explained. The only sign available was STAY IN YOUR CAR. The young man was pleasant. Jay was very friendly.

Took about 1 hour to get my oil changed. 3 guys working there, all of which were complaining about the work they had to do. Didnt fill my fluids or my tires, also didnt have the right windshield wipes for my car. I understand that it was busy and they were probably understaffed but the attitude of the employees made it that much worse. The manager was nice, I guess thanks for the free water..

Stopped in at my local Take 5 to get my oil change. Pulled in to the bay and waited a little bit longer than normal because they were busy. The store Manager approached my vehicle and asked how long I was waiting. I told him about 20 minutes and then he offered to take half off my service. He did not have to do that at all but I greatly appreciated him doing so. Thank you guys for always making the experience great!

I was just refused service by a young man wearing a dirty surgical mask down around his neck because my son (who has severe autism), my dog and I (who has several health conditions the make breathing difficult) were not wearing masks inside my automobile. I have been going to this location for oil changes for over 20 years. I will never, ever, take any of my four automobiles there again! I will never, ever go to any Take 5 Oil Change businesses! I will tell everyone I know about this experience. I will consult a lawyer about bringing a lawsuit against Take 5 for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The staff are always sming, pleasant, very polite, and extremely helpful. I appreciate the care they give to me and my car. I also appreciate that they are fun and enjoy joking around with each other and with me.

It was a different way to get your oil changed. I didnt have to get out of my car while they changed the oil. They were fast and efficient. I will recommend it to everyone in the area.

This is the second time using this take 5 location. Both times have been good experiences. Friendly staff and minimal wait times. The only reason i didn’t give five stars is because I called and asked the price for full synthetic oil change and was quoted the price for a synthetic blend. So when I arrived it was more expensive than anticipated. Also they write on the tag inside your car 3000 miles which is confusing since the oil change I got is good for 7000 miles. Other than that great location.
