Great shop. Recently brought my car in for an engine light issue that my other mechanic could not fix. They fixed it no problem.

Everyone at the garage was very friendly. They repaired my intermediate exhaust pipe no problem and even explained potential reasons why I had the issue in the first place. The repair was reasonably priced and was quicker than most places. I made an appointment dropped the car off and got it back within 24 hours! Cole’s garage is my new regular garage in the Akron area!

This is the best place in Akron to take your vehicle to get serviced! Everyone is very polite and professional whether it’s over the phone or in person. They did a great job on my vehicle and had it done in a timely matter. My experience was superb and I will continue to use them for all my car maintenance in the future! You cant go wrong with this place!

I really enjoyed my experience at this establishment. I believe that everyone there was very professional. Steve the owner of the business was very professional and courteous. Everyone was able to give me the best direction and advice for the services that needed to be done to my vehicle. I was just not at the time able to afford some of the different maintenance work that needed to be completed. Today I came for a check up. I went too long between oil changes and Steve wanted to make sure that was the reason I had problems on my first visit. I’m a little late at this review, but we had a good experience! Very nice service, upfront and professional! We had a 2008 Tahoe that needed a new engine, Steve was upfront and worked well with us. It’s nice to also support a black business!!!

I came because I was recommended by a close family friend and mechanic and I was not disappointed at all. The service was friendly and honest without being pushy. Nothing was ever sold to me but it was explained. I was VERY leery of professional garages because I don’t want to be hustled into services that I really don’t NEED. Never happened at Cole’s and I continue to return to get my vehicle repaired.

This place is amazing!! They know what they are doing and are super friendly. Another mechanic shop would probably try to get over with pricing. But not Coles garage and they fixed my car back to its original state and were very inexpensive. I highly recommend them. They treat their customers with respect and like family. I would like to say thank you Coles garage. You guys gained a new customer. If I could give more stars, I definitely would!!! :)

Steve at Cole’s Garage suggested I go get my echeck first and fail. Then he told me to bring the failed echeck papers in with the car. The mechanics where very thorough in their assessment of my car. They told me other work I will need in the future. I was pleased with the service they provided.

Cole’s garage was professional, and gave me a clear explanation of what was wrong with my car. It was fixed in a timely manner. They also didn’t pressure me to get things fixed that I didn’t have money for, although they did warn me I should get some maintenance soon to avoid further costs, inconveniences and damages. Will be returning for additional work.

In by 8:30am our before 5pm. Had a tail light issue my other mechanic couldn’t figure out.Great service, did a free inspection and found a terrible error that saved me hundreds! Very personable customer service.

Coles auto shop was highly recommended to me by Richards Transmission. I had to have my wifes 2009 Nissan Altima towed in yesterday and I am so impressed with the professionalism of this shop. They found out the problem was a recalled Nissan part and helped my wife coordinate with the dealer. I was shocked at how prompt and helpful the service was especially since we have had very bad weather and all shops are obviously very busy. I will continue to use them for my car service and will happily recommend them to others.

I have had a couple of things done at the shop . A lot of people I know have their cars worked on, and go no where else . They do good work and I have been around here for 35 years they are still here That Saying Something!

Great courteous and prompt service with reasonable prices, and wonderful staff. Mechanic explained everything to me concerning my car in easy to understand terms (very helpful). I have had several cars, including referrals, serviced by this shop, and we were all very happy with the service. I have been a permanent customer since 2015.I would also like to add that Steve (owner) and Robert (mechanic) saved me around $3000 which made me very happy.

I love this garage. I use to be against the idea of ever taking my car into a shop for repairs and just had friends do the work for me but the people at Coles have restored my faith in auto repair shops. The water pump was replaced on my car a couple months ago and they also did a few minor things that I didnt even know needed done, for no extra charge. Unfortunately for me, the water pump that was installed was a faulty part and seized up on me while driving it the other day but I took it back into Coles garage and Mark looked at it and told me that he could replace the pump again, this time for free, because it was still covered under the warranty. He wanted to make sure that I was completely taken care of. And on top of all that, he even offered to give me a ride back to my apartment on the other side of town. I had a friend pick me up anyway, but the fact that Mark was willing to drive me home made me happy enough. I dont know of any other shops that would do something like that. These guys have been around long enough to know what they are doing. They are a family, and they treat their customers like family. And I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of some work on their vehicle.

I have come here twice now. They have done a courtesy inspection on my car in each instance, where they were able to point out possible problems later down the road, and help me as best they can. I will come back to Coles and I will recommend it highly to people I know. The issues they find outside of what you brought the car there for, they will let you know about, and let you make a decision on how to handle it.If you want to take your car somewhere to get almost everything on it fixed in one go, this is the place to go.

Car broke down had it towed to Waikem which is where ive had multi services before. Coils needed replace and after fixing one. Mechanics told me i needed to buy another car...they sent out salesman to talk with me and salesman offered me $300 for my vehicle.. i test drove a newer vehicle and decided to wait for 24 hours to decide... I wanted a second opinion so i had my car towed (as not drivable) to COLES garage. And less than $300 had another coil replace.. that mechanic told me engine and car was in great shape. And i am on the road again without any problem!!!This is where I will continue to take my vehicle now!!!I appreciate their honesty...

I have lived in Akron for over 6 years now and have had my fair share of vehicular issues. My first experience was at a well known auto center that was recommended by the towing company but sadly it wasnt what their reviews came out to be. My next experience with vehicular difficulties eventually led me to Coles Garage. That was 5 years ago and I still am going there today, 2 vehicles later. The well known stereotype of mechanics/shops are to up the price for those unknowing of what is really going on but I can assure you that Coles does not fit this stereotype. Each worker there that has worked with me has personally gone out of their way to make sure I knew EXACTLY what they were doing and WHY they were doing it. They told me what was necessary and what was just optional for the time being. In my most recent experience, and as to why I am now writing a review, I had an incident with a flat tire. I took it to Coles and they fixed it right up. Sadly, the next day there was a lot of air missing again so I contacted them to alert that they may have missed a spot and without any hesitation they said to come right on in at my own convenience to get it taken care of, free of charge. They had even gone as far to say I could have it towed and would comp the cost. These guys are top notch and I have recommended them for years and will continue doing so for my time in Akron. And best of all, the receptionist is a sweet woman who genuinely cares about your troubles, not just trying to schedule you in. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

Fixed it right.. good people

Last fall I saw a no rust grand am on a car lot for 1000.00. Not a guy to judge a book by its cover. I went to coles for their bumper to bumpercar inspection service. The 70 .00 I spent save me over 1000. Car looked sharp, drove well, but after coles dug deep, car needed complete brakes down to calipers and wheel cylinders including new rotors. Hidden codes in its computer. Likely would fail e check. Too much to replace even with myself buying the parts. As I parked the car back on the dealers lot, the car quit running. Buying another car this week and Coles will do the inspection.

Did a bc exceptional job, will return and recommend

Usually work on my own vehicles but when something is out of my abilities it goes to Coles. Their hourly labor rate is very fair. Some people complain that they are expensive, part of the reason for that is they refuse to install cheap parts. They will only install OEM parts or other top quality branded parts, this adds to the cost of a repair a good bit but they stand behind their work so they cant be installing junk parts. They also wont do a halfass repair just to get a job. If you want someone to band aid your car or just throw on brakes this isnt your place. If you want to be treated well and have your vehicle fixed properly this is the place to go.
