If that cool Cleveland air starts making your way inside when your heat is on, but you are only handy enough to do minor work and troubleshooting, I would strongly recommend calling Echols Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. I had another service company out for diagnosis (was 30% more for a service call) and was strongly urged to replace my furnace while being up sold product. The technician from Echols, Cody, came in and confirmed we had a bad secondary heat exchange, confirmed it was under warranty with carrier, and then gave me a run down of my options in a very polite and casual manner. After getting a fair and reasonable quote, compared to competitors, we decided to have our furnace fixed rather than replaced. I even signed up for a maintenance contract and have no concerns or doubts after the service. Will be calling them again for all of my HVAC needs.

We have them come and do a check up twice a year to be sure things are running well. Very happy with them and would recommend to anyone.

I had a complete HVAC system installed approx. a year ago. This included a programable thermostat. I did not need that function until recently. I was unable to program the thermostat. They wanted $60 service call to look at it. I was able to contact the manufacturer. Turns out it was set to non program mode when installed and a few button pushes corrected this. Why Echols did not tell me this I dont know. Would consider using a company with better customer support/knowledge

Great Service! we had a furnace cut out in the winter time on the weekend and Echols Heating got us going with a temporary repair and then installed a new furnace at a great price with a humidifier!

Its not that I give everyone 5 stars but I feel Echols Heating & Air Conditing deserves this. From start to finish, they showed up on time, communication with the cost of our new / replacement Water Furnace Series 5 unit was excellent. They offered (2) different options and explained both extremely well. They scheduled the install as quickly as possible. The install crew I was very pleased with, on time and the install looks great.All warranty paper work filed and emailed quickly. Lastly the price was very competitive based other companies. I will recommend to other households that have Geothermal Systems.

We have been a customer since 1988. Echols always responds when we have an issue. Really great service and professional techs.

We were not very happy with how we were treated by this company. We were given a two-hour window for service, and the technician (who was at least friendly) came late (after the end of the two-hour window), which forced me to miss an important meeting. Parts had to be ordered from the factory, which we definitely understand, but they scheduled another appointment at the latest possible date that the parts might arrive, rather than scheduling something earlier in the delivery window with the option to move it if the parts hadnt arrived. This all meant we were without heat for two and a half weeks. The technician did not seem to know the system well, and the company could give us no information on why two parts of our system were damaged (five years old), or if their new parts were likely to have this sort of problem in the future. When we asked for more details, we were brushed off and told to look at our invoice, which was not informative. Overall, they were not prompt, not caring, and not informative for a very expensive repair.

Had a leak in the PVC piping of the furnace exhaust around the seals. They came out and resealed the fittings and put some silicone sealant on them. No charge. Echols has always treated me right. Customer for life! God Bless.

I purchased a new home in December 2018, and part of the reason I did so was that it had a WaterFurnace geothermal unit. It was an older unit, but the home inspection didn’t turn up anything amiss with it. A couple hours after getting the keys to the house, I discovered fault lights on the furnace. I called the HVAC vendor who had been servicing the unit for the last 10 years and had them come out a few days later. I found out the hard way that resetting the breakers would turn off the fault lights for a few hours, which made the furnace appear to be normal. It also used an old R22 refrigerant, which is going to be unavailable in a couple years. The technician for the other company was very blunt with me and didn’t seem to care that I had a broken furnace mere hours after purchasing the house. He seemed almost happy to throw out sky high numbers at me for what it would cost to replace.Dismayed, I went on WaterFurnace’s website and found their local dealers in my area. I came across Echols’ website and saw “Geothermal” mentioned many times on it. I emailed them on a late Friday afternoon to simply ask them if the astronomical number that I was quoted off the cuff was realistic. To my surprise, they responded within a half hour and said the owner, Jim, would contact me first thing on Monday.Sure enough, Jim and I talked first thing on Monday. He came out to my house and laid out all my options for a furnace and explained what I needed to buy, what I didn’t really need to buy but could if I wanted to, and what could be bought at a later date. He was extremely low-pressure and didn’t try to sell me a Cadillac when a Chevy would do just fine. His quote was about half of what the other company unofficially quoted me. I really appreciated that.His crew came out a couple weeks later to install my new furnace. The whole team was extremely professional and friendly and made me completely comfortable having them in my house. They took great care to make sure that they didn’t damage any walls or floors when swapping out the units, and they didn’t mind when I’d randomly check in on them to see how they were doing. At the end of the install, they walked me through a couple of quick items on the thermostat and then told me a follow-up technician would arrive in a few days to ensure everything was set up properly.After they left, I started hearing a horrible metal-on-metal noise, similar to what a refrigerator compressor sounds like when it’s dying. I had hoped that my new furnace wasn’t going to be noisy, but I decided to wait it out until the follow-up visit. When the technician arrived, he quickly confirmed that the noise wasn’t right and that it was likely a metal rod or wire that was vibrating. After he performed his follow-up tasks to make sure the furnace was set up correctly, he spent some time isolating the noise. He then had me take him to the noisiest parts of my house to make sure it was quiet enough for me. I was happy when all I heard was the rushing of air out of the vents.In short, Echols is a great company and takes great care of their customers. I’ve always heard that it’s hard to find a good car mechanic to trust, and I would have to say the same about finding a good HVAC company. Based on my experience with them, I’ve definitely found a company to trust. I’m looking forward to doing many years of business with them, and I will certainly never hesitate to recommend them to anyone I talk to who needs HVAC work done.

Echols Heating & Air Conditioning is a professional company from the office, sales, and installation crew. Very satisfied with the new central air conditioner.

They are not transparent in the service call charge, which is $60 dollar for the issue diagnostic. And then the technician charge additional $90 dollar related to finding leakages in the systems, they do not mention this additional charge beforehand, almost like a scheme. I feel myself totally cheated. Very bad.

Fast and friendly service. They get the job done correctly and never up sell for the sake of making a quick dollar.
