ANDREW AND ABEL WERE MY TECHNICIANS WHO CAME OUT TO DEAL WITH A MOLD ISSUE.THEY WERE BOTH VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE.THEY EXPLAINED MY SITUATION AND DID THE NECESSARY WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER.I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY PROVIDED AND RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.
I had a great experience. From phone call, to estimate, to expert analysis of the issue, they were able to help me out and consulted me on ways to fix the issue and save money in the future. Excellent service and professionalism. I highly recommend.
Worked closely with the Team lead Jake to eliminate the sewage from my basement. This crew worked diligently and efficiently to remove walls, furniture, and all other contents out of the basement. At one point, because of the amount of rain we were having, the basement started flooding again. This crew reacted as if it was there own basement. Cant thank them enough!
John and his crew were amazing. I had a huge sewage backup into my basement. I made the mistake of calling “the other guys” on someone’s recommendation, and I now realize I should have just called Servepro. After almost two weeks of trying to clean my basement, the other guys just couldn’t get it clean. It still smelled like sewage and there was still wet insulation in the walls.I finally called Servepro Lombard after two separate family members recommended them. John came and checked it out, made a plan, and immediately brought in his crew. They found the problem (wet insulation) and sprayed their disinfectant. They used special fans and dehumidifiers. John came back a few times to touch things up and make sure I was happy with the cleanup. He made recommendations about keeping the basement dry and even patched up a leaky dryer duct he located.Tonight I went down into my basement and... no smell! It’s clean and dry and I am so relieved after such an ordeal. So glad they were able to help out. Thank you John and crew!!!
We called because we discovered mold in our exterior wall. We spoke to John and he was incredibly helpful. His knowledge was excellent and I felt very comfortable with hiring his team to handle the issue. I would highly recommend them.
ServPro helped me out! John B. at ServPro went above and beyond. My sump pump battery blew up, splashing battery acid all over my service closet. I called numerous services, and they all said the same thing, thats hazardous materials, we cant clean that up. ServPro didnt either. But John B. gave me the name of a company that did clean up hazardous materials, and he said to call him back, if that didnt work. Turns out that company cleans commercial spaces only. So I called John B. back. He said hed call the chemists at corporate headquarters, and he got a protocol. He was out that day cleaning the battery acid. They did a great job. And, now they can offer a new service to other customers. I highly recommend ServPro and John B.!
Had sewer water in my crawlspace and they came to the rescue. Day 1 was awesome they walked me through everything. But after that they made contact with my insurance adjuster I became third party and got mixed messages from both sides. So my 3 stars is because of communication. Also the estimate was doubled and I was never in the loop for that. They got paid and I moved on to another company and got everything resolved.
The worst decision I have ever made was hiring Servpro in Lombard to repair our house that was destroyed by flooding. Our house flooded in September 2013 due to faulty plumbing. 24,000 gallons of water poured from the 2nd floor all the way to the basement resulting in 75% of the house having to be gutted. We hired Servpro in October to begin repair work. They were pleasant to work with at first, promising that we would be in our house as early as Thanksgiving and as late as mid December. The project started off well and then turned into a complete nightmare. The house was not finished by Thanksgiving, nor was it finished by Christmas. By January, Servpro began asking us for more money, though their contract stated that they get half up front and the other half upon completion of the project. Despite this, we still gave them an extra $25,000 to get the project done because they said they could no longer continue working on it unless they had more money. But rather than finishing our house, they took on other projects and put our house on hold. They made promised that contractors would be there working, but countless times I would go by the house and no one would be working or was even there that day.We finally had to get a lawyer involved, and Servpro rushed to complete the house. We moved back in on April 1st, 2014, 5 months after the estimated completion date. Our house was newly constructed, only 6 weeks old when it flooded, and we had to live in an apartment for 7 months. When we moved back in, we expected the house to only look 6 weeks old, but the workmanship was substandard.Weve had to hire contractors to repair the work that Servpro did and we still have many repairs to make. Needless to say, we refused to pay them for the remainder of the work, and finally proceeded with arbitration with the company which resulted in a good outcome for us. This debacle has lasted us 14 months and we are finally settled back in our home and done dealing with this company.Do not hire this company for any work that you need done, whether small or large! Their contractors do horrible work, the owner and project manager have no control over them or the project, and they will take on other smaller, quicker projects for quick pay when they should be focused on yours! They took complete advantage of us and I would not wish this experience on anyone. Do not make the same mistake we did!
The new owners are really on top of it! The work is quick and quality! Love everything they can do and will definitely recommend to everyone!
