Five Stars: I’ve been to so many gyms in my life, that weren’t great experiences. This Planet Fitness is world class, and a cut above the other gyms I’ve been to. Staff is very friendly, kind, considerate, and respectful. The place is constantly being cleaned and for the most part is spotless. My only minor criticism is for management to diversify staff with minority hires, to better reflect the customer diversity in the gym, and to fix the one step machine that has been broken for almost a month. I would recommend this place to ANYONE that wants to drink the healthy tonic of exercise.

If I could give them a zero star I would! This situation is really unbelievable!On Sunday Oct 11th 2020, I was working out on the exercise bike, doing an intense hill training program. After a 45 min workout I was soaked in sweat and I followed normal protocol and wiped the machine down with the provided cleaning solution at the cleaning station. With some of the solution still on my hand (and not realizing the danger) I wiped some sweat out of my eyes, just barely touching the inner part of my eyes near the bridge of my nose. That night I went home and I knew something wasnt right, but owning a manufacturing company I had many chemicals in my eyes from time to time and didnt think it would be a big deal.Two days later (the first picture below) something obviously wasnt right. I went to the walk in clinic, got medicine and was told that in 3-5 days later it would be better. The next day, it got much worse with burning, blurred vision, swelling, and pain. I made another appointment on Thursday Oct 15th to the same walk in clinic. After they saw my condition I was rushed to the UMASS eye dr. immediately.Dr. Ding gave me a thorough eye exam, prescribed anti-inflammatory and pain reliever medicine, told me to stay home, keep the area clean and call if my vision got worse. At this point it was only at about 30% and I was extremely concerned about long term damage to my eyes or even losing my vision completely!Three weeks later, 5 doctor visits, work loss, and of course the pain and distress from the situation itself, my eyes were starting to recover to the point the redness was gone and fluid drainage subsided. I still dont believe my vision is as good as it was, and I definitely find myself wearing my glasses more often (I am near sighted) then usual and I am very concerned about the long term effects of this situation.** Now here is the shocking part. After the doctor gave me the ok to go into public (and the gym) again, I met with the floor manager Joseph Mto explain the situation and show him pictures of my injury. Joseph was shocked to see it, and showed a genuine concern for the situation. We filled out an injury report and he said he would send it his manager, and I presume owner of the club and they would be in contact with me. **So fast forward to December 17th, I am still a member of the club, and work out at least 4 times a week. Since the date of the first meeting with Joe the floor manager I have reminded him at least 3 possibly 4 times that nobody has contact me to discuss this situation. He assured me that it would happen and I patiently waited - still no call.So yesterday Dec 16th I met with Joseph again to discuss this and he said he will have someone to talk to me about this by the end of my workout. He found me on the floor and said that they would be calling me in the afternoon and look for a 781 area code. Well guess what? No call still !!! Unbelievable!I own a small business and am sensitive to the challenging times we are all in, and I told them I would stay off of social media, and out of my lawyers office if they would just call me, and or meet me to discuss the situation. At the very least, I was going to suggest more signage is posted about the danger of this cleaning chemical and hopefully get some of the medical expenses covered for the doctor appointments and prescriptions. Is that really too much to ask? Who really knows what the long term effects are that I may be facing with the quality of my vision.*** So here we are, on social media telling my story and still in shock that the Planet Fitness management is either too cowardly to reach out, or just doesnt not give a sh*t that one of their new members was almost potentially blinded by just an innocent act of wiping sweat out of their eyes.Well management.... Where are you ?! This isnt a joke. To the other members or potential members, let this be a cautionary tale. Yes their price is enticing, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for !

Ive been there two times to cancel and both times I have had nothing but issues ..its ridiculous 🙄 n they still havent cancelled. All set.

They charged me for a type of membership I never signed up for (surprise, one that was more expensive than the one I did sign up for) and now want me to pay a fee to leave the gym. I will not come back and tell my friends not to go there due to my very bad experience.

ABSOLUTELY Love them, I recommend you try the hydro massage beds💜 the greatest investment is the BLACK CARD. Hope your experience is as great as mines. I use the gym daily and wouldnt trade it for any other.

One stop shop for work it till you drop! Aqua massage? Yes please! Tanning? You already knooow! Drinks, lockers, knowledgeable and courteous staff, showers (bring shower shoes!) And a good feeling? All here!

This Planet Fitness location is very good. Staff and members are generally pleasant. Facilities and equipment are well-maintained and clean. I like this location for the assortment of core workout equipment that is sometime lacking at others including the Roman Crunch machine.

Well after longing for gym closer to home, a friend recommended planet fitness.With clearly no idea of what’s goes on down there, I visit the place and the first time was great.Even with the new normal, reception was cool, the lady at the desk took me through the steps,signed me in in less than a minute.Everyone minds their own business, plenty of machines, lots of social distancing and more.Unlike the gyms that I have been too before, I didn’t notice any available instructors because I noticed 7 different people using machines wrongly and there was nobody to try show them what to do.Generally speaking, its a place worth the time n money. I will go back since I subscribed 💪🏻Remember, fitness is a choice

My opinion of planet fitness gyms has gotten better. I appreciate the fact that they are one of the few gym chains actually open with good hours. They are always clean and even though I dont have a membership myself, I appreciate the black card option which allows a guest. 👍

I had been a planet fitness member for years. But due to Covid I decided to cancel my membership because I saw lack of cleaning prior to Covid and did not want to chance anything. I contacted the club who said to write a letter explaining you want to cancel your membership. I submitted my letter with one for my father in the same envelope. My fathers membership gets cancelled but mine continues to be charged. I contact the club and the man “in charge of reading the cancellation letters” states he never received mine and would call me when he found mine to refund my money. Long story short he still to this day has not found my letter.

I get off from work at 10 pm and you closed at 10 pm when you will bring back 24h again i wanna come back to the gym

I’ve never signed up for a gym before and not very knowledgeable when it comes to the equipment but Sarah who is one of the employees there really helped me. She was patient with me and showed me how to use some of the equipment and how to adjust them. She also told me about all the extras I get with being a black card member. She helped me to feel confident when using the equipment and I can’t thank her enough for it! I am so glad I chose this location.

I started planet fitness today first time in a gym I felt lost really didnt know what to do more or less had to look at other people and figure it out myself other than that it was a good workout

Now that vaccinations against Covid-19 are under way, we’re all get back to normal. I hope they stay opened untill midnight or 24hr.

Though, I never liked the direct debit, I decided to give a try, and is good, it lacks barbells for chest, squats, rows (for back), and shoulders. Has a great variety of dumbbells, machines exercises, and cardio. Offers a variety of low weight dynamic workouts, like steps, medicine balls etc.

During this crucial time it’s extremely important to be monitoring gym members to make sure they are following the rules and keeping everyone safe. I went there today and I genuinely felt very unsafe with the amount of people not wearing their masks (that isn’t on cardio machines), people weren’t cleaning their equipment that they were using, the worst was PEOPLE WERE USING THE MACHINES THAT LITERALLY SAYS NOT TO USE FOR DISTANCE PURPOSES. I was there for less than a hour and I just saw so much. The staff there wasn’t paying attention at all they were just at the desk talking instead of walking around the gym to monitor. Overall was a terrible experience and don’t recommend going there.

Have been continued charges after I already told them to close my account. No refunds. Terrible policy. Only closes accounts in person. Do not recommend.

Zero stars! (had to pick one or it wouldnt post)I went into Planet Fitness in November 2020 to cancel my daughters membership that I had bought her. I was told SPECIFICALLY the following: She has a year contract which is up on Jan 25 2021. We will suspend her membership for November (though I still had to pay because it was already the beginning of the billing cycle) December and January. But according to this contract you NEED to come in on Monday Jan 25 2021 to avoid being charged another month (February). So I was fine with that (I didnt mind paying the November fee as they waived Dec/Jan fees. I stopped in just like I was told on Monday January 25th and was told this cannot happen. I explained in detail the above and was met with resistance because they said there is nothing they can do now because they have a new billing company . I told them that isnt my problem and that I was doing EXACTLY what they told me to do in November. The staff person asked someone in charge if there was anyway this could be fixed. He said he saw everything I was saying under my daughters contract.He then said There is no way we can do anything because they have a new company they use for billing. Now I am VERY ANGRY, so I said so, where does this leave me now!!!!!!????? I came here specifically on the day that you told me!!!!! He then enraged me further because he said, you have two options... pay the $58 dollar cancellation fee or pay for the next couple months into March and then come back again at the end of March!!!!! This got me so mad that I couldnt believe what I was hearing. So I said, okay so now I am paying AGAIN and have to come back again in March when you most likely will tell me that you cant do it again because of some stupid excuse!!!!!!! I left so upset! I tried calling the ethics line, but they only speak to employees. I was told by another support person that I need to deal with my specific club because they are franchised. It makes me nauseous to think I have to deal with this club again. I HIGHLY recommend NOT signing any contracts or make any deals with these people and DEFINITELY dont set up for auto-pay! My money just keeps coming out of my account. I am so upset as I have never has such poor customer service! I tried to help them during the pandemic by not cancelling my daughters membership (even though she was not going due to the pandemic) I 100% support small business as most of my family own small businesss but to have this type of unfair treatment is truly UNACCEPTABLE!!!!UPDATE: 1/28/2021 I just spoke to Joe the manager there. He was extremely helpful.He worked with me to give me the best option to opt out of the membership. I do understand they also have to follow corporate rules and polices and he did what he could to make us both happy.I am very thankful I was able to speak with him. If anyone else has issues I HIGHLY RECOMMEND speaking to Joe the Manager!

The manager of Stafford St Worc Planet Fitness invaded my personal space while yelling and spraying with his mask half off. I had removed my mask to drink water when he came at me aggressively yelling and screaming. He threatened to throw me out of the gym bodily, and he told me to cancel my membership. I don’t feel safe returning to Planet Fitness on Stafford St Worc.

Never join this club, my monthly payment’s due is 20th and I came here 1 week earlier to cancel my membership but then also they changed me monthly fee. No matter what, they are after people’s money not after public thoughts and health.

Good gym, staff does their best to keep it clean. There are some people wearing masks who dont realize their mouth and nose are connected to their lungs.

Great trainer; clean bathrooms; lots of machines

The place is absolutely huge and there is a great selection of the cardio equipment. However the cleanliness of the place is what brings my star ratings down. I’m not usually that picky but there are tumbleweeds of dust bunnies everywhere. The tanning equipment is in very poor shape and again cleanliness is an issue.

Asked the manager here to wipe down the free weights he was using. He told me i had to leave. He had the girl behind the counter cancel my membership on the way out. Real hardo.

I go after work and I love it! Quiet and judgment free. After years of perfecting my rotund and corpulent physique Ive decided to challenge myself to be able to see my feet when looking down. Maybe in the near future Ill be able to bend down to tie my shoes and be able to breathe at the same time. Who knows, I might even find an ab or two hiding under years of self loathing and Chinese buffets.

Got my Gym membership a few days ago. I got the fully loaded plan so Im looking forward to attending planet fitness. The young lady named Cindy who was on the register took very good care of me and she has great customer service skills

Nothing against this particular Planet Fitness location, just the company in general. This location was always super clean and cultured an environment that everyone wiped down equipment after use. Loved the body-positiveness environment and inclusive vibes, it just was not for me. I felt comfortable taking my roly-poly self there and never felt uncomfortable. I joined over a year ago, went for a week, then found myself paying the $10/month and never going. Was it worth $120 a year? For me personally no, but I know other people that go everyday, love it, and get their monies worth.

Todays experience at this location had me so angry I had to leave. As I was leaving I watched the staff check in a member whose mask want anywhere close to covering their nose. Out of the 25-30 members at the gym today, three including myself were correctly wearing masks. Most members were wearing a mask on their wrist, or as a chinstrap. A large number didnt even go so far as to have it on. Members blatently walk around the gym from equipment to equipment without masks, ignoring the multitude of signs stating they are mandatory. Ive seen on multiple ocasions, members using equipment that is listed not in use for Social Fitnessing. The staff walk around and ignore all of this. I understand no one wants to have to tell a grown adult they need to put a mask on, but that is the job now, and none of the staff seem up to it. This has become even worse as the college students have come back, and are returning to the gym, which poses an even greater risk. I havent felt this uncomfortable and unsafe in any business since COVID-19 began.You need to enforce your policy (which is state mandated) or shut down the gym.

I have been trying to get in touch with a manager at this location for days. I was charged after I cancelled my membership, after being told that I did not have a balance or any payment due at the time of cancellation.Everyone I’ve spoken to has been incredibly dismissive and getting a manager on the phone has been impossible.Don’t join Planet Fitness unless you want to be a member for the rest of your natural life, the cancellation experience is a nightmare.

This place is great for the price. I didnt give it four or five stars because of how packed it gets during the day. I usually wait until about 10pm to get in there or very early like 4am before work. The guy that works nights is really cool so with a great staff member like him and how theyll work with you if youve been there a while, its worth ***.

The tanning beds are ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I understand you are supposed to clean then after you use them, they look like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. Don’t touch anything!

Very laid back PF gym. Some of them feel a little cluttered and chaotic but this one feels like your in your own world. The machines arent laid out in a grid. Its comfortable

Pretty good gym. Gym goes kind if suck. I like doing the 30 min workout but no one follows the pattern or pays attention to the light telling you to start or stop which can be irritating.

People are great. Options are great. Equipment is great and hours cant be beat. Not to mention tanning and massage chairs, yaaaay! 😀

Me and my family love this place it has great equipment great staff and a amazing experience. I highly recommend this place for is price and quality. Also when they say no judgment center they mean it truly and fully.

My PF (Webster square, Worcester ma.) Is great. The workers are all friendly. Its big and has lots of room. The bathrooms are always clean. The trainer there (Jake) is amazing. I recently visited one in Warwick Rhode Island and it was embarrassing compared to the one in Worcester Mass. It made me appreciate my gym not much more.

Good Equipment. Staff could be friendlier. Travel around the country so I have seen many PFs This is the only one that has an issue with it not being my Home PF. make me sign in and tell me I need to change this to my home gym if I want to continue to go there. Once again only PF that does this

I used to like going here they had very friendly staff that was helpful and made it a pleasant experience but then they fired the overnight staff member for something incredibly stupid and replaced him somebody with a personality of a brick wall. I choose now to go to a different gym

I was kind of disappointed I was excited about the massage chairs but the location I went to didnt have the hydro massage they had the massage chairs I said OK Ill give it a try. The massage chairs must be broken like it couldnt even kneed right it just kind vibrated I sat in the chair for about a minute and just left super disappointed when I walked in the front desk wasnt that friendly like I interrupted them so they just wanted to hurry up and deal with me. Hopefully Ill be happier at a diffrent location even though this one is close to my house.

Last employees were better gave information better and more polite . Im just saying if you dont want to work in a gym why even bother if someone ask for information its just useless with this guy at the front desk not helpful. I had this membership for a year now, and all employees were polite and helpful in any other planet fitness gym this was the worse experience here. Im switching my membership to a better gym . NEVER AGAIN !

Regional manager is an absolute jerk. I believe his name is Mark. Rude about every question i asked, didnt listen to anything I had to say. Made me drive to shrewsbury location because he didnt want to handle my cancellation forms telling me he wasnt able to when in the end he did anyways. Thanks a lot for absolutely nothing. If you cant handle the stress of RM find another job.

A great planet fitness, adequate equipment, good staff, could be cleaner. Very diverse group of members, makes for a motivational environment. Standing and bed style tanning beds. Downfall is this planet fitness closes early on the weekends. Fri-Sun. Be sure to check hours. Should be 24/7!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I signed up because the gym was opened 24/7. Without any OBVIOUS signs, notifications or emails, they changed to 24/5. Extremely disappointed.On top of that, the gym is not as maintained as other planet fitness. The showers are filthy and they dont care because the same shower curtain has been on the floor for the past few weeks.

Very Clean gym and Friendly staff.

Its pretty clean, and it lives up to the Judgement Free philosophy. The only reason I took off a star is that they need to work on keeping the showers fixed. There seems to be always one of the 4 that is broken, typically the handicapped one.

Heres the thing about this place.They have a difficult time staffing when there is an inch of snow.The Sun blazes through the windows in tje morning and the place bakes. They have been asked to put up some solar shades for years.Gyms like this have a lot of members with poor gym etiquitte.The good things are its a cheap place to work out in.They have a very knowledgeable trainer that works here during the week JakeHe does a great job.

Horrible customer service. Been coming here for years and it’s gotten worse each time. People working at front desk are very rude, not helpful and stare you down like you’ve never had a membership. I will not be coming back. They need to hire more polite, friendly customer service. Needless to say the Shrewsbury planet is the best one around the area!

Mckayla was pretty rude for a counter girl . I was there a few days ago, I travel for business and use many planet fitness & la fitness across the country and appreciation and enjoy them all but someone needs to teach this girl how or how not to talk to customers.

I like this location. I would also like to see it become a 24/7 branch and am not sure if it is the owners personal belief that weekends should be for rest, the cost associated with making it 24/7 on the weekend or restrictions in this plaza. Should it be feasible and would bring in more business I think this would be a smart move.Also there is a young gentleman who has been here for some years now. HE IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND POLITE. This kind of customer service is hard to find. I wish more of the other employees would look to him as a role model on how they should base their behavior.

I like planet fitness but this location was not to open, rather everything is in one spot. Whereas the one in Webster Ma. Is in sections. Other than that its good.

Decent equipment and friendly employees. It does get fairly busy around peak times and other gym goers can be inconsiderate, but thats an issue at every gym.

This place is gross. Everytime I come in I spend a good chunk of time just cleaning what Im about to use so I can use it.

This facility has all of the makings of a 5-Star rating with one minor exception. Although infrequent, Saturday 7 a.m. openings continue to plague this site. Well over one year, and this problem remains unresolved.It is not so much what this problem is about..., It is how it is handled. And, it is a lack of accountability. Please, no more, passing the buck. Fix it ! Thank you.

Nice and friendly staff. Very clean. Staff is always cleaning up. I’ve been a member for about 43 days. I’ve been to others but this location is the main one I go to on a regular basis.

Some of the staff were awesome. One was creepy and stared at my chest the whole time I was working out.

Ive been a member for about a month now and the first day I used the gym I was greeted with a smile and two girls who were super supportive! Ive never used a large gym before, but it holds up! There are some times when its crowded, and sometimes people dont clean the machines after they use it, but overall its a good gym to use!

I went here for two or three years and figured I’d do an updated review since I’d been there for so long. I had no issues at all with the managers or staff when I was here. It was a busy location when I went which was a pain at times because I had to rearrange my schedule to beat crowds but not a big deal. Good equipment to chose from. I’m a college student so I did end up leaving due to the crowd sizes when I went and my changing schedule, got busier since I’d been a member. I did get a few stares from other members, when I guess I didn’t know what I was doing on a machine?..

Clean, plenty of workout options. Reasonable price.

Just a suggestion... An on site daycare would be extremely helpful for us mothers. Such a nice gym with lots of perks, just missing this one helpful service!

New equipments, friendly staff, huge space and lots of classes being offered. I have a black card with the West Boylston PF because its closer to me . However, I travel all the way to the Worcester PF because the staff are much more welcoming and the equipments are nicer.

Ok for a fast workout, but the equipment leaves alot to be desired

Obviously customer service doesnt mean much to this specific location, rude staff and management doesnt really care either. not mentioning charging cancelation fee and a monthly fee the same day under shady fineprints, who does that? Not going to cry over $79 but at least train your staff, i mean the ones clerking.

Gym area is typical, I didn’t even dare to use the tanning beds after the condition they are in! Disgusting! Don’t think anyone has cleaned the beds or the floor in a week. The inside of the tanning bed was even filthy. Gross!

The Best Gym in Worcester. You cant beat the facilities or the price.

Excellent gym I love this place

A good basic gym. Cardio equipment is new, the workout space is bright, and staff friendly. There is plenty of free parking and even at the busiest of times there is plenty of equipment available. No judgement and anti-bullying messages are welcomed. I do wish they would get rid of the aggressive, loud talking heads TV in the locker rooms which is the antithesis of their no judgement messaging and the shower facilities could use some attention as they are often messy and at least onehas been unusable (lacking a shower head and light) for over a month.

One of the best planet fitnesss Ive been to and Ive been to many different ones across the country. They have a pretty good selection of equipment and its well spread out. People can easily navigate around each other w/o problem. They have 4 Smith Machines with staight tracks. Many PFs have the angled track, which is horrible for form, so this was a pleasant find. Its not perfect but for the money you arent going to find much better.Everyone on here complaining really need to grow up and take responsibility for their own actions. Bunch of crybabies. Impolite staff? Thats garbage. You shouldnt even be taking to the staff, you should be working out. Cant cancel. Thats also garbage. Im a black card member and Ive made this specific gym my home gym more than once without any issues. Read the contract. It clearly states how they operate. Theres no tricks/fine print.

Clean, helpful staff, have not had an issue with membership or monthly billings. And a +++ is that for its location, the environment is AWESOME...

Clean. Machines in working order. Maybe only 1 or 2 not working. Locker room is at least clean for the guys. Showers all work and are clean.

It has everything you need to lose weight. And there are sime wonderful people that work there.
