Unbelievable bad service the representative had no idea what she was doing.My account was frozen through the pandemic as was everyones and yet im told my account had incurred a $270 charge and had been sent to a collection agency never in my life has that ever happened to me,it took me many calls to sort out there f mess.If anyone out there has the same issue dont let them get away with it

I tried canceling Ive mailed a letter emailed them countless times and even called but they are still charging me. Now Im getting my attorney involved. Do not sighn a contract with them!!Im going on four months of trying to leave them and Im still being charged. This begun last year. Fyi my contract was up too. Its a scam. Do not become another victim!

I signed up with a friend. My friend got all the attention. I was never given my free coaching sessions. Never received one email, even during the shut down. If it was not for my friend informing me about things I would never no what was happening. I was never told that when my one year membership was over That they would continue to take out a monthly fee. My contract does not say that it said my finally payment would be on March 1st. I was finally able to sign a form, but refused to answer all the questions as the manager is one of the big problems. The Rhinelander facility is poorly run.

I started here right before the shutdown. I decided to start a membership which cost me close to $90 with a coaching session included. Well the shutdown happened and I had to stay home. Thats fine. When they opened back up I decided to get ahold of one of the coaches to start a personal training membership. I decided to go with the $39 per session once a week. I work seconds and am only able to meet after work around 11 pm. I was told that this was a non-issue. Well the first month was great. I really felt encouraged, I liked the coach and I felt good about working out. I was committed to the whole program including the ZONE diet. After the first month my first coach asked to reschedule for another day that week. I was fine with it. I sent a message to the coach to confirm that we were meeting that night, and I receive no reply. I show up that night and the coach is nowhere to be found. Well, turns out this coach decided to ghost me. So I went with another coach. This one made up for the lost session. We plan to meet for 2 days again this week and lo and behold my coach does not show or answer their phone. All the while I am paying $160 per month not including the membership fee to be ghosted and treated like dirt. I am leaving this bad review because I had so much faith in this business and felt so welcomed at first. And here I am typing this when I should be working out with my trainer. I do not recommend the personal training program at Anytime Fitness in Warsaw, Indiana. At least right now. I sincerely hope things turn around for the business because the owner seems like a genuine person who is going through a tough time like the rest of us. But simply, the lack of communication is what has ruined this whole experience for me.

I have been a member since 2016. I am extremely happy with the service they provide. Heather at the WSP office is really cool and shes a motivator just by her attitude. I have not met one staff member who I had a negative interaction with.Another thing to be said is the members are really good people. Stay to yourself if. You want or make a friend.I just really appreciate the gym and my experience there. Some things that might be a minus is the annual equipment fee that o out unexpectedly and some gyms are geared twords different things as far as new or accessible equipment. The standard is not the same at every gym. Which I find a plus others might not.Oh the Inver grove gym is a little whack on weight lifting. Its a small weight area and everyone seems to stare at everyone else like theyre hoodin it up. Its like white compton only with squirt bottles.One other thing that was really cool is that when they shut down for covid they automatically stopped the monthly gym fee. You didnt have to call them to request it. Thats looking out.

Never join anytime fitness EVER! I have reached out many times to cancel my membership and it has been the biggest hassle of my life. We are in the middle of a pandemic and I would think you would be more thoughtful on how people are feeling during this time. I am unimpressed with the lack of contact information and lack of being able to speak to somebody other than the manager of the club to get issues resolved. Club 1561 is a joke! This whole business is a joke. They are worthless. They only “ mediators“ therefore they don’t do anything to help you.

Your Hudson oaks area does not communicate with its customers. My wife has not lived in the area for over a year however, were continued to be charge a monthly fee. What a travesty this is. I am now sending a certified letter to rectify this issue.

They trick you when you sign for auto pay, you have too, but they continue it after the agreement expires . I signed up for 18 months . Made it clear it was all I wanted . they said I checked the box to keep drafting from my account . That was clearly not explained since I told them only 18 months they should of made sure the contract written correct, its their job ! kept charging me . they will not give a refund and can see I have not stepped foot in door since but yet they charged me . Big fight to cancel and still want to charge another month! I will NEVER join again . heard same stories from many now that I have talked about it .

I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness here in Gretna, Louisiana, USA For 5+ years with no complaints. New owner took over (withholding name over privacy concerns) and continued charging members after the gym was ordered to close by law during the COVID-19 pandemic. I found this so grotesque I canceled my membership immediately. Two months go by and this location decides to charge me yet again. Prime example of people who should never own a business or be in positions of authority. But that’s not the society we live in, is it.

I’m just about ready to cancel my membership at this gym. I opened my membership 40 days ago and have only been able to use one gym location. The only reason I opened the membership, was so I could use all of the locations. It’s a shame that this gym is so poorly managed. It should be easy for another gym to open locations in the Chico/ adjoining areas, and actually provide the service they promise. Horrible experience

I like the owner of my anytime I frequent but this kind of BS to your members is the very reason why come October Im done with your company and going elsewhere. I left once after 12 years due to poor management and poor service out of corporate and gave you another chance but then you do this and hey I get it youre a business but being that greedy during a time like this really tells me the character of your company. Youre really know better than the rest of these 24/7 outfits

Ive complained before about obscenity-laced lyrics at these locations. Saturday I was at the Princeton, Minnesota and location and being the weekend, there was no manager on hand to change or mute the music; I endured two gangster-rap songs in a 40 minute stretch, cut my workout short and left. Interesting that there are multiple signs at this location warning us to clean the equipment, change our shoes before walking on the carpet (or pay a fine) but no one seems to care about the rot-your-soul lyrics that Rockbot is putting out over the speakers.

Thunder Bay, Ontario review, as follows: If it were possible, I’d rate this facility zero stars. Traveling full time on the road with my husband, who is a member. On rainy days, I like to run indoors. I am not a member and was asked to leave this establishment (as I was lacing up). I was fully prepared to pay the day fee, but was informed they do not provide day passes. The worst customer service. My husband and I both left and wrote this review.

As an Anytime Fitness franchise owner, I love the tools provided to us to help us succeed. We have calls with our coach twice a month that have really helped us in this business. Anytime Fitness is the first business we’ve ever owned before so every day is a learning process for us. I don’t think we would have made it this far without headquarters help. They provide such great ideas and information that my husband and I probably would have never thought of ourselves.Not to mention the incredible atmosphere that Anytime Fitness provides. It’s truly the best gym in the world.

Feeling disappointed in the North Vernon, Indiana facility as I’ve not been back to the facility since 2017 they refuse to cancel my service but wish to take the money anyway. I signed back up in June this is August and there is no reason they can’t cancel my membership. All they are is money hungry greedy people. I haven’t used the facility since before October of 2017. Technically they owe me quite a bit of money. As it is like 45 a mth for me. All I want is to cancel my membership and get a refund from June of 2017. Due to my job I don’t have time as when I’m not working I’m sleeping and spending time with my pets. I don’t have time no more to go down there and work out. They don’t care. I feel I have the right to cancel and actually get all my money back but all I’m asking for is the money back from June but they wanna charge me for the whole year. Hopefully headquarters can help me with this. They don’t even deserve 1 star for this.

I am leaving the corporate office a five star rating because they actually function like a successful business, they take care of business and they put the customer first and take care of their needs! I had a horrible time canceling and finalizing my membership at the Franklin, KY franchise. They were able to get the issue resolved, I suggest leaving the negative feedback on the local level not the corporate level!

My name is Karl P.I was a member of this gym from south Florida and enjoyed its values and establishment. Upon moving to North Carolina, I found a new location in hopes of the same experience; unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Within 30 days of my membership we had to move further than the convenience of the south Asheville location store. I spoke to the manager and owner, turned in my key, signed the cancellation disclosure and was instructed to call the customer service line to confirm cancellation. I did just that same day. Fast forward 2 years I get a collection letter of 906$ from that location. I want this resolved from corporate because I am disappointed with this experience as a customer and past member in Florida I feel swindled by this and will Not pay any settlement and will prefer this resolution done according to the values of what first attracted me as a customer to anytime fitness.

I like the open 24 hour thing. But I cant cancel my membership unless I die, move 20 miles from a gym or become disabled!!!!???? Thats not right. How about the fact I live ALMOST 20 miles from your gym, cant afford $80 a month for 2 people and you wont let me cancel?! How messed up. How about a fee to cancel wheres that?! SilverSneaker members do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is not in the business of helping people. I have never had such poor customer service ever or lack of compassion. They didnt show me around the gym, or how to sign in, where the locker rooms are, not even a class schedule. Just signed me up and basically pushed me out the door. Then months later emailed me asking me why I wasnt using their facility and argued with me via email confusing me with someone else while being hostile and rude about our one time encounter. Then the same behavior continued via Facebook messenger with the owner when I complained about the matter. Daring me to just complain to corporate because they will just push it back to him and Ill get the same result. Id advise anyone who is thinking of joining this gym to go elsewhere and tell everyone they know to do the same as well. No one deserves this type of treatment. If they do this to the disabled community, they are the lowest of the low.

I was a member of Anytime Fitness in Jacksonville, FL for over 4 years and for the most part enjoyed it - until recently. The original owner and I got along extremely well - hes a super nice guy. But unfortunately, in the last year or so, a new owner - Darrell McKay - took over the operation. A week ago, out of the blue, he called me on the phone and bluntly accused me of being involved in a conflict with another member and trainer. He claimed that I became agitated and unpleasant, verbally accosting the trainer, and was terminating my (and my wifes) membership. I was completely floored, as I have never - repeat never - had a cross word with anyone in the facility - ever! I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about, and tried to explain to Mr. McKay that this was obviously a case of mistaken identity, as I had never even met the trainer involved in the incident. This facility has 24/7 video surveillance, so I asked him to show me the video of the incident in question, as I knew that once it was viewed, it would clearly show that he had me mixed up with another individual. He smugly refused, stating simply that he had witnesses and had no obligation to show me the video. He would also not allow me to speak with any of the witnesses, nor would he even tell me the exact date and time at which this incident supposedly occurred. He said the matter was closed and refused to accept even the possibility that this might be a case of mistaken identity. Unbelievable and infuriating at the same time.This situation is absolutely surreal - something out of Hitchcocks North by Northwest, and I still find it hard to believe its really happening. I am a 48-year old husband, father and business owner who is decidedly NOT interested in badgering or entering into a testosterone-fueled conflict with anyone. I contacted AF corporate headquarters and they were absolutely uninterested in my complaint, stating that McKay was an independent franchisee and that they did not involve themselves in such disputes. Are you serious?? Youre allowing a representative of your organization to simply accuse and convict someone of an unpleasant incident without requiring that the accuser present a shred of evidence to support their accusation? Thats unbelievable and unconscionable, and speaks volumes about how AF really feels about it customers. I have contacted an attorney and am still contemplating legal action for breach of contract and defamation of character.I would just like to warn all members of Anytime Fitness that this could happen to you also. On the surface, you would think - as I did - that with the largely undeniable truth of video footage on your side, that you would never realistically be subjected to a false accusation such as this. Not so.

Anytime Fitness is a great franchise. You have 24/7 access and they have locations everywhere. Ive had a great experience at all of the locations I visited. Honestly I dont understand some of these negative reviews about cancelling a contract. A contract is a contract for a reason. Youre penalized if you break any contract. Its just crazy

We enjoyed this gym, but 6 months after leaving the country for work and many attempts to provide the requested documentation, we are still paying for our memberships. It appears no proof of relocation is sufficient to meet their criteria. The assistant manager even had the nerve to suggest that my husband contact his employer, as some companies provide a buyout. What a desperate money grab! We are extremely disappointed with Anytime Fitness, and would never have joined had we known they provide such deplorable customer service.

Do not open an account with this company, if you ever find yourself financially unable to continue this contract, they will not close your account.When we started, we had the means to pay, now we are strapped for cash, raising 6 kids on one income, and unable to continue, but they will not close this mess down. Instead they want to ruin our credit and take our grocery money. We can’t even pay my husband’s phone bill, but they want us to continue in a contract here that we can’t afford anymore.All I can say is do not get involved with these guys, if you hit hard times, they don’t care. I called, having a question about my contract, since I was told conflicting information when signing up for a one week free trial, returned my key after the trial period was over (I was told directly by management when I returned my key I would get back the deposit, with no mention of the small window of time I would have to return the key.) I lost my 50 dollar deposit on the key, despite returning the key the next week.Explained my situation to the members service representative, who proceeded to laugh at me smugly declaring you should have read the contract its in bold print.Another twisted gym interested in nothing but exploiting the most out of its customer, with a joke of a members service team. Never in my life have I had customer support laugh at my situation.Take your money elsewhere.

This Business is horrible! I was on vacation in Vancouver, staying with my sister and her boyfriend and I wanted to introduce them back into working out. I brought them to the club and they both got a 7 day trial set up and then would join me for workouts. Apparently while we were there one of the days, one of them failed to swipe in with their fob and so I got the message below from my own club in Airdrie, AB. The Richmond club called both of them trying to sell them memberships and then accuses me of letting them in and threatened to fine me $250! The club didn’t bother calling me and asking me directly or ask either of us while they watched us work out! When I called the home club in Airdrie, he still accused me of letting them in and said they had it on camera. I told him the club should have called me directly or he could look up either of their names and then he said he would finally “let it go”. This goes to show you how they treat their members. They not only lost two new members but I will make sure head office and everyone I know is aware of how they treat people.

Although the staff came across as nice and helpful, they were pushy salesmen in disguise. I did a two week trial period and when I tried to cancel it several days ahead of time, they made it EXTREMELY difficult to cancel! I ended up getting charged for a month I didnt even use and had to spend my free time on the phone with a billing company.

Attempted to cancel my gfs gym membership and she is told that she must provide a doctors note or some kind of proof to cancel her account early?!? WHEN SHE CAN BARELY EVEN SPEAK ON THE PHONE!?! I was charged an extra month of dues even though I called the facility and asked if my membership was done to which I was told yes. When I found the charge and called, I was told I had to come in and cancel. When I brought up the fact that I had called a month earlier and not told this, I was informed that they tried to call me but had the wrong number. No one at the facility (Rosemount, MN) or at the corporate headquarters wants to take responsibility for the fact that they failed to inform me that I had to cancel in person (not when we signed up or when I called to inquire if my contract was satisfied and done). They want to tell me I should have known the contract. Funny, their employee that answered the phone didnt seem to know what I needed to do or, possibly this is what they do to get an extra month of dues from people. Easy money?? Looks like it. Stay away from this company and read the complaints as there are many for the same issue I have!

HATE THIS PLACE SO MUCH. At my location the managers are liars and make it impossible to cancel your membership!!! I have never felt so frustrated in my life. I went in to cancel my membership and was told I could and that I would no longer be making payments after 30 days. Next day I get an email stating I MUST make payments until December of 2017, which is longer than 1 year!! Its a shady place that only wants your money and will charge you for every damn thing they can and could care less about their customers. Whatever you do DO NOT give them your money and dont even think about walking into any of these gyms! Worst customer experience Ive ever had, and Im not one to write reviews so take my word.

Be careful with this company, they advertise you can go to any club, any time. Which is true you can, but if you start going to maybe the location closer to work more often your membership changes. Which means even though you had auto renew turned off it turns back on and no one ever tells you. I gave away money for a year, when I called them out on it they had me write the letter to cancel but told me to be prepared to pay for this month. Its October 1st!! I havent gone in over a year but still need to pay due to 30 day notice...wow. I thought so highly when speaking to the owner when I first signed up but this place is the biggest scam out there. Theyre gettin money though...theyre slick....

I signed up for the anytime fitness in Plainview NY on December 5th 2018. December 20th 2018 I receive an email stating that the gym I just signed up for (no warning when I signed up) was closing and will be opened until December 31st. Yesterday December 27th I canceled my membership so I do not get charged an additional month, but I knew I still had my membership until January 4th even tough I would only have use until December 31st. Well... I was wrong. The membership was canceled immediately, so I unknowingly signed up to a failing gym and paid $40 for a 1 month membership and received 3 weeks worth of it. This gym is a scam.

I never leave negative reviews, however after the treatment I received at the Tahlequah OK location I can’t let it go unsaid. I was a member for 1.5 years and never complained about the uncleanliness, the lack of sanitizing products, the ONE tanning bed that had missing/old bulbs or the complete absence of management. But when I finally spoke with the owner (Lisa) about bringing my husband as a guest (which when I signed a contract the previous year and a half ago said I was allowed to bring a guest because they were trying to mirror my contract with Planet Fitness)I was basically accused of taking advantage of their mismanagement.Now I totally get that after a year and a half or more of bending rules to get members, they were trying to “clean house”, however I never expected her to say that maybe I should return to Planet Fitness and that she would be canceling my membership affective today. OOHHH and then said she’d be charging ME $50 for early termination...and when I tried to dispute that charge was literally hung up on by her...mid-sentence.And with no corporate contacts to be found anywhere you are literally at the individual owners discretion. And maybe that’s why they’re such poor reviews because it is the individual clubs that funnel up to the whole company.Working out is my happy place, and they ruined it...Pay more, drive further but save yourself the headache and go anywhere else but here.

Pleased to say I am now a member of the I got ripped off by anytime fitness club. yay me! I got a one year membership and about half way I tried to get out cause I was moving and was going to be working too much and wouldnt have time for it. Of course they said you have to pay off the rest of the contract in order to get out which is absurd considering I was not going to use it. So I had to stay in the contract. September came my contract ended and work slowed down so I started attending a local gym which is a lot cheaper and in jogging distance of my home. Living grand enjoying my new gym lets fast forward to February 2nd 2016. Times are a little rough check my bank account only to discover I had over drafted. But how so? I knew what was due and when. I checked the transactions only to find... anytime fitness still taking money out even after my contract has ended. This has reached a whole another level of anger inside of me I cannot explain the frustrations that linger within due to this. I am being robbed blind by this company. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY!

They only have one trainer and she was NOT A FRIENDLY PERSON!!!! IF You want a clean bathroom and Friendly atmosphere and a MANAGER THAT IS NOT A RUDE LITTLE 20 year old work out at home and save you some money!!!! BEWARE when joining this gym if you are a traveler. I joined because my job is 100% travel and I wanted a gym that I could go to wherever I was. Anytime Fitness will automatically transfer your membership to another location if you Swipe your card more than 50% of the time at that location.In addition, my experience with billing issues, is nothing but people pointing fingers claiming it is not their problem, and that includes the local franchisees, ABC Finanical, and the Anytime Ftiness Corporate.

Seems to be a pattern with the forced down your throat memberships, on my case Anytime Fitness location on Clive IA, my membership commitment has been meet, have no time to use the gym, previous owner very helpful with any issues, new owner since march this year has been avoiding my requests to cancel my membership closed my bank account been billed, contacted ABC Financial asking to cancel they said they cannot cancel unless I speak to anybody on my local branch, finally got ahold of the franchise owner, he requested to fill a cancellation request and drop it off along with the Keyfob did that week and half later still no word, overall I do like the locations and the convenience.

I just got into an argument with the owner at Gardnerville, NV for bringing her German Shepherd to the gym and letting it loose. Some of us dont like dogs. I have a friend who wont go to the gym with me in the morning because of the dog. You would think the owners would get it but obviously they care more about themselves than their customers. Anytime fitness at Norterra on Happy Valley in Phoenix AZ has continued to withdraw money well after we signed their cancelation contract. We spoke to the owner Brad who was the most disrespectful, arrogant business owner I have dealt with. He called me a liar, laughed at me when I said I was going to contact corporate about this and refused to tell me when we last used the gym which he later admitted to be July 8, 2015. He stated he didnt have my cancelation forms even though I could give him specific details when I went in there but because I couldnt give home the exact date he refused to work with me. My question is why does Anytime Fitness not allow men to wear tank top when in the gym? Goodlife Fitness, World Gym etc... allow there male member to wear them. It is very uncomfortable when working out, you sweat and your hot, your top sticks to you. If women can wear them why cant men?

Very poor costumer service. He wouldnt return my calls if he did the answer where short then he would hang up. Tried to cancel several times and was always told I couldnt. Then when my 2 years was up the money kept being taking out of my account...
