I rarely ever leave reviews but this time is necessary. HomeTowne Auto has the right name. I was on vacation with my family and my truck started acting up. It was pretty bad /dangerous and not drivable. I called HomeTowne after a few Google searches and Heather made me feel like my safety was her top priority. She called with a quote once it got towed and was honest with me about what needed to be done and the possibility of more work being needed/time-frame of the work being done. They did the work in a few hours and their shuttle driver who picked me up to go get the truck was really nice. I was able to get my family home safely which made my day. As a true Southern girl, HomeTowne Auto really made me feel at home!

I took my car there to get fixed explained the issue I was having and what problems I been having. They ignored everything I said and insisted they ran their own diagnostics, which they did and charged me for. Then after that they tell me it’s something completely different from what I needed they charged me over 1300 dollars. Then I get my car back and second I drove off the lot my engine light cuts back on and the issue I needed repaired wasn’t even fixed then they say they can’t fix anything unless I pay for a whole new job which I ended up having to and they kept my car for over 3 weeks and 3 different visits. I would not be going back!!

Very nice place with helpful and courteous people working. Ive been going to Midas for 5 years but I believe Ive found a new place. They even offered a courtesy shuttle ride for when my vehicle was finished. I truly appreciated the transparency with the photos of all parts that were being inspected as well. They provide great detail on how each items current state is and recommendations on when/if things should be replaced. I highly suggest you give them a try if you havent already.Just took my other vehicle and I must say I had a different experience when working with Heather vs the other person. I had constant updates and was always well informed. Seems like I found myself always checking in for follow ups. I think Ill request to speak with Heather for my future visits. They still do stellar work.

Took my 1995 Mustang GT to HomeTowne Auto Repair for oil pan leak and rear differential leak. Both were gasket replacements and the tech took care of the problems in a professional manner. With over 145,000 miles on the Stang I wouldnt trust her to anyone but the folks at HomeTowne Auto Repair!

I was not able to get my vehicle inspected but the two gentlemen at the counter helped me find another shop to get my vehicle inspected on a Saturday.

Im a first time car owner and believe me, I dont know anything about cars especially with inspections, emissions etc. Chris who handled my concerns was very professional, he explained to me all the things I needed to know, and he gave me updates via phone and email too. I was informed about their vehicle pick-up/delivery service and quickly signed up because I’m still not comfortable going into public places with all that’s going on. So, this was an extreme blessing to me by them offering this type of service. The fact that they employ every alternative to ensure customers feel comfortable during this time speaks volume.I called a few days ahead of receiving my inspection and spoke with Chris, who was very professional, and he took the time to explain how everything would work on the actual day of the service being performed. Everything was seamless with picking up my car from my house and dropping it back off. They came with all of the appropriate PPE on (masks, gloves, seat covers, and wheel covers). I was appreciative of their regard for the safety of their customers and their employees. Another plus is how well their system sends out notifications and reminders prior to the upcoming appointment and the ability to see the notes and recommendations after service is complete. Oh and the icing on the cake is the goody bag you receive as their way of saying thank you. What a personable touch. Things like this allow companies to stand out for sure. Brought my vehicle in to remove a nail from the tire. Despite having a full schedule they were able to squeeze me in. There was no charge for the tire repair even when I did not purchase the tires from their shop. Couldnt have been any better. Excellent service.

Exceptional service, I just moved to the area and my older model Jeep suffered a major engine break down. I called Hometown Auto and they took care of getting the vehicle towed to their shop, and quickly diagnosed the issue. It was time to put it down. Joe was very honest with me about the issue and we looked at several options of replacing the motor but the cost was more than what the car was worth. Like I said, I just moved to area and was still moving into my home and Hometown Auto worked with me for two weeks until I could find someone to pick the car up to transport it to a junk yard. Hometown Auto only charge me for the towing and diagnostics. Excellent and honest service, I will be using Hometown Auto repair shop for all my vehicles needs.

I got a hole in my tire from road debris earlier this week. I have a replacement coming but not until next week. I called around to a few places in Woodbridge to get a price for a tire plug. When I called HomeTowne, Heather answered and was very pleasant. She told me that at HomeTowne they will repair, not just plug, your first tire for free. I asked why they do the repairs for free. She told me that it is something they offer to the local community. I dropped my tire off and it was ready in 2 hours. HomeTowne sent a digital vehicle inspection which showed the diagnosis of the hole in the tire using video and pictures of the actual repair. HomeTowne provided top-notch customer service and speedy thorough auto repair work. I highly recommend HomeTowne Auto Repair and Tire of Woodbridge.

I love this place but today I went to get my car when it was ready and I was the one to tell them it wasn’t. They did take it back right away to get me a nee battery. But, no one ever talked to me about other things that were wrong or needed to be addressed. They need to work on the personal communication about issues they find rather then emailing them . If I could have gotten them fixed then it would have been better.

So I bought 4 tires from here in January.... and being winter I suppose this place offered me a de for around $475 each pair .... Now last night I got a flat and went in this morning to get a new tire because it had a gash on sidewall ....well now they wanted to charge me $325 for one (not including mounting, balance, etc....The attendant said the price went up slightly 😳 Thanks Captain obvious !!!!Will not be returning and took my business elsewhere

I stopped by HomeTowne Auto Repair late on a Saturday afternoon for the first time and expected it would be too late for them to service my vehicle. I was wrong. They diagnosed, then replaced my brakes and rotors in about three hours. They even gave me a lift to and from a nice outdoor shopping center where I pleasantly passed the time during the wait. HomeTownes team was professional, extremely courteous, and customer oriented. Though I live about 45 minutes away, I will likely return to this business for future automotive care needs.

Today I experienced fantastic service. From the first phone call to the time I left I experienced exceptional customer service. I was in and out faster than expected. I wish I could remember the name of the guy at the counter because he was very nice and professional.

HomeTown got me in (it was a Friday) and got me fixed on Saturday--they shuttled me back and forth to my hotel and were all very kind and courteous. This is our third time using Home Towne Auto Repair and every time it has been great! Their shuttle service makes getting work/service done with kids at home bearable because I don’t have to stay! This summer when the shuttle brought me back they had pulled up my car, started it up and turned on the air. It was 100 outside and my car is black this gesture was amazing. It didn’t end there, they ran out to open my doors for me so I could load in car seats and brought out my receipt. I was blown away! They won us over for sure!

My 2001 BMW convertible needed tires, brakes and service for a check engine light. Everything was done timely, everything was done neatly and the car is very happy now. My wife and I look forward to a fun summer with the car in ship shape.

I came here to have my loose (no car) wheels and tires mounted. All is well when I take them back to my car to install them myself I could not help but have constant wheel wobble. I called them back up explaining the issue I was having, they offered to check it out. They figured out the issue & fixed it at no cost to me (I was fully expecting to pay). Thankful for the quick and reliable service. On top of offering a free rebalance in 5000 miles.

The shop was recommended from a friend; walked in told them what I was looking for in tires, found them, ordered, kept me up to date on the shipment and adjusted the install date based off the shipment. Gave me a timeline for the install to be done and adhered to it. Will come back and recommend.

We have been going to Hometowne Auto almost exclusively for 7 years for everything from oil changes to tires to mechanical work. I went one day on a whim for an oil change and it truly felt like a “hometown” kind of place. The staff is trustworthy, reliable, clear, courteous, and treats you the same no matter your gender or perceived knowledge of cars. They have answered my questions when out of state on a road trip and took time to take a look or listen when something doesn’t seem right when I’m out and about in town. They go above and beyond always and for that reason, we will continue to be loyal customers.

I know nothing about cars so when the oil light came on, I was worried. I just had an oil change about a month ago so I couldn’t understand what was wrong. after work I passed by your service area on Highway one. Your technicians took a look right away, checked for leaks and added a quart of oil. Set up a scheduled pressure check for the next day and provided shuttle service at no extra cost. He really set my mind at ease, turns out nothin was wrong and the previous oil changed didn’t add enough oil. Excellent staff and service!

Do not buy their tires!! Also, beware of their promise to get your car back on time.. 3 times they have given me completion times and 3 times they have missed their deadline. On top of that, they found more work to be done. Sorry Joe.. you have to do better!! Time to find a new shop..

I’m new to the area and was looking for a reliable place to get work done on my car. From start to finish, HomeTowne Auto made it easy and stress free! Heather helped me schedule the appointment and made sure I had all the information I needed before my appointment. Then when I arrived, she was the friendly face who greeted me (even with a mask on!). My car needed a little more work than expected, but she said they’d take care of it for me, if I’d like. However she didn’t pressure me into services I didn’t think I needed. I accepted the services and she offered me a free shuttle home so I could wait safely at my house, instead. By 5pm, my car was ready to be picked up and they sent me a detailed report, with pictures, of all the work done. I can honestly say, I’ve never received better service from an auto shop before! Recently discovered this gem of a place almost two years ago and have been coming ever since. I love the thoroughness they performed with each service. I love the visual inspection that is provided after each service electronically so you can always have a record of the work/inspection performed and what may need attention in the near future.. An added bonus is their honesty and they never pressure you into getting work done. I also love the shuttle service that is provided, Its great to get your car service and not have to sit in an auto repair shop all day.

Had taken my car to Firestone but they could not find the real issue on why my car was having a hard time starting. Battery was good. Brought it to HomeTowne Auto Repair and Tire and they were able to find the crank sensor code issue, which will cause starting and running issues. The folks there are courteous and helpful.

A while ago I was visiting my parents in Virginia. My boyfriend and I were bringing a truck back home with us on a flat bed trailer. We left to go home and got a flat tire on the trailer on the highway only 40min in to the drive!! Got it fixed, turned around and stayed one more night to get 4 more new tires for the trip back so we wouldnt get stuck on the side of the road again. Those tires we needed were VERY hard to find but Joe knew exactly where to call to get us really nice tires for the trailer. This shop helped us out so much!! We could not have found those tires if it was not for Hometowne. They were very busy but they still squeezed us in. The customer service is amazing, Joe is very knowledgeable, and I felt very comfortable walking in there. I have already recommended this shop to people I know in the area.

This place is awesome! I just went for a state inspection and I needed a windshield wiper replaced. When the lady up front found out I was a health care worker, they actually did the wiper for free. She was so sweet and it was completely unexpected. They were fully booked so I couldnt get my inspection done today, but Im sold! Highly recommend this place. Came to get my my car’s brakes and rotors replaced and they did a great job. They even readjusted my parking brake as a courtesy even though it wasn’t part of the original service. The customer service is top notch.

Found a metal rod in my tire over the weekend, quick google search turned up Hometowne repair...after reading favorable reviews I decided to try my luck. They did not disappoint...the best customer service from a mechanic shop that I’ve ever encountered. I will be using them from now on...and I recommend you do the same.
