Florida Muay Thai is exactly what you’d be looking for when it comes to training in Muay Thai. It comes highly recommended, which is what brought myself and my wife there, and we haven’t been disappointed. Excellent coaching from both Coach Arde and Coach Rob will always challenge your body and your mind to their absolute limits, and with their vast knowledge and a great gym atmosphere, it all comes together to make this place a premier spot to train from. Your body and your mind will thank you.

If you want to learn Muay Thai and youre in Orlando, this is the place to be! Coach Rob and Ardeshir are amazing and make everyone feel welcomed and provide great instruction. Learning combat sports/martial arts can be intimidating but they do a great job at helping you learn and grow not only as a martial artist, but as a person. Rob is an inspiration and always provides positive energy and motivation to help you dig deep and finish class knowing that you gave everything you had. My only regret is not signing up sooner.

Found this place looking for asian food. Went to go check it out without knowing anything about Muay Thai or caring about sports in general. One of the greatest choices Ive ever made. All the coaches here are excellent, and have their own unique way of teaching. Dont worry if youre inexperienced or out of shape. The coaches will help you get settled in. Everyone here is super chill and friendly. If you have any interest in not just Muay Thai, but joining a positive community, then I highly recommend this place! It has basically become a second home for me!!

From the moment I walked into the gym in early September 2018, Coach Rob welcomed me and talked me through the process of signing up for classes and told me what I could expect from taking these classes. He was not wrong! I sleep better and I am learning the art of Muay Thai. Coach Rob teaches us many, many techniques which is awesome! For me though, its not about competing. Its about exercising and learning self defense moves and boy does Florida Muay Thai achieve that. I enjoy taking classes here. Coach Zack is another terrific coach. He works us HARD and I dont mind it. He doesnt let you give up when youre tired but talks you through getting over that hurdle. The coaches at Florida Muay Thai are thankful and grateful to their students, if you will, for choosing Florida Muay Thai and we are thankful to them for their patience and continued encouragement!

Great place to learn the art and burn some serious calories. Coach Rob is excellent at explaining the techniques and is a great mentor if youre in need. He motivates the class and is always looking to improve his students. Everyone is chill and none of that crazy MMA type mentality that would make you feel uncomfortable. I highly recommend this place if you are new or even a seasoned vet to the martial art scene.

I heard about Muay Thai from a friend, and decided to come to this gym to try it out for myself. Needless to say, it was an amazing desicion. The gym is such an open place where you can train and learn how to better yourself with the help of the amazing coaches and owner, no matter your skill level, the only thing that matters is your passion and drive. The coaches all are extremely open when it comes to helping new students, and they will tell you when you are making mistakes, and show you how to improve and learn upon them. Amazing place to learn how to fight, get fit, or just have some fun. If you want to learn fighting or a martial art Muay Thai is one of the best.

Im nearly 49, I bring my 3 kids to Robs gym, he even lets me try n keep up at the back! It might not sound like much, but this is a big deal for me. Ive no great ambitions really, just looking to sharpen up a wee bit.Im the main carer for our children, my wife works interstate/overseas a fair bit, she works very hard, I just cant make the adult classes mostly, what would I do with the kids? Thats why its a big deal, he lets me join in. Its ace, thanks Robert :)None of us are fighters, but if just 5% of what the coach has got rubs off on us, were all the better for it.Great place to train, no hidden fees every other month, just stuff that makes you fitter, stronger, and my left jab even has a little bit of poke in it again (little...). I hope the kids want to keep coming, parents, you know how it is!Great gym, no fluff, great coach, nice people. If youre hesitating to join, turn up, say hello, and jump in. They cater to the individual. There are fighters here, young and retired, and everything in between, all sorts of levels, people that dont compete, people that might one day, no egos. No pressure.

Great place to do more than just a workout, in here you will find a great respect for the art of Muay Thai from the coaches and people training, yet everyone is welcoming from the first day. Had first 3 workouts this week and enjoyed all. They really focus on technique of Muay Thai. This is not an aerobics gym. They teach you how fight, protect yourself, and condition at the same time with professional insight. The group training is equal to private lessons that I was getting at other gyms at half the price! I highly recommend this gym for beginners or for the advanced.

Florida Muay Thai delivers excellent instruction with obvious passion. I walked in one day after wanting to do martial arts my entire life and I took their free training class. Almost 7 months later, I look forward to going to every class. I have added muscle, lost fat, I sleep better at night and dropped at least 20lbs and 3 off my waist. Many people have asked me if I have lost weight because it is obvious. I am 37 and it is getting harder to change my body for the better. The workouts at FLMT are intense and are completely doable. Anyone will get amazing results when they put in the effort. Their hours for training are very good and the instructors love what they do. Everyone there is friendly and very welcoming. Stop wasting your thinking about doing it and go!! My only regret is not starting there sooner!! Love this Place!! A++

Im a former student. I only left because I moved from the area. Paul and Rob are great trainers. I joined the class with no experience and they worked with me to improve my skills and conditioning. By the time I left I was in great shape and had learned a lot of Muay Thai.In addition, they have created a great environment at the gym. Everyone works to help each other improve. I received countless tips from other students that helped me get better and made class fun. Going to class was work, but I always enjoyed myself. While I have found another great gym where I live now, I miss training with this group.

If a TEN STAR rating were only an option!!!Florida Muay Thai is more than just a place to learn how to properly throw a punch or how to place a kick. It is my place to escape from the real world for an hour or two per day. After trying a private instruction session several months ago, I knew I would be back. The Coaching staff are more than just instructors and skilled fighters. They are patient and dedicated. They are relentless in continuously providing classes that don’t feel routine. They genuinely care about each member and foster a real sense of family to everyone that walks through their door. What I didn’t realize in the beginning was how much change I would experience in the coming months. I have gained fitness, strength, mobility, endurance, accuracy, speed, and the ability to NOT get hit. Well, I still get hit. A lot actually. But I am learning how to take a hit and not take as many.Don’t worry if you have never done this kind of thing, I hadn’t either. It’s about the process of learning, growing, and having fun!I could go on and on about why you should drop by and give this place a try... but you should check it out for yourself. I rate it TEN STARS!!!

This is a true traditional Muay Thai gym that will welcome you in with open arms.If you’re looking to lose a lot of weight and gain lean muscle, while having fun this is the spot you want to be! If you’re truly serious about your weight loss progress, you can always engage a conversation with their Coaches and ask for advice regarding what to eat.I’ve seen other that were overweight, burn a tremendous amount of fat and gaining lean muscle for sticking to the coaches plan! Myself gained my old body back and lost 52lbs within an year, thanks to them.If you want to learn how to defend yourself, you will truly learn how to do so.Even if you never threw a punch, you will learn how to throw one.And if you want to compete, you will seriously learn with the best. But don’t rush it. Plus the coaches will tell you if you’re ready.Regarding classes:In technique classes ( beginners ) you will learn about the art of Muay Thai. For example they will teach you how to use the basic fundamentals. This is a great class for beginners!Bag class : it’s a cardio class that will have you be working on the bag with a partner or a group of 2-4. Depending how many are training that day. With the bag you can also sharpen your technique and condition your body and shins. This is great for beginners and if want to burn a lot of calories.Pad class : you will be working with a partner and will be throwing punches, kicks, elbows and knees on the pad. It does not hurt since you’re wearing protective gear. This is my favorite class. You will learn how to hold pads. A good pad holder can create a great fighter. You will burn a crazy amount of calories.Sparring class: is more for the advance since you will be going toe to toe with an “opponent”. But we don’t go fight ready hard! So don’t be scared. You will be wearing protective gear. You’ll need a mouth guard, shin pads and gloves. We prefer 16oz gloves since they are bigger and will protect you!If you’re trying it out for the first time, tell the person to go light with you. And they will. The coaches will make sure of that.Kids class: it’s fun to watch since the coaches will teach them the true discipline about Muay Thai. Parents also can watch their children work with the coaches and appreciate their progress. The gym itself is very very family oriented and themselves have been to Thailand. They bring the Thai training back to Florida Muay Thai. The people are amazing and always extremely helpful. Doesn’t matter if you’re new, a veteran, overweight, skinny etc they are there to assist you to become a better version of yourself! And no you will not get knocked out... this is not a stand and bang gym!!!!If you are interested in envolving as a parent, a better individual and as a better worker at your job, come pay a visit and give it a shot. I promise you’ll have a great time and will always want to be back. ( yes they do have gear for you to wear ).If you’re serious about joining for a longer periods of time, you can always buy your gear at the gym or purchase online from another shop.Sincerely,Jeff

I practiced Muay Thai a couple years ago, because my little brother got in to it. I started with an MMA gym, but then left due to adulting conflicts. So I stopped, did some other stuff for a couple years. I saw the sign for FLMT on my way to work and said to myself, “I’m gonna go to there.” And I did.As with many new things, I felt super awkward stepping on the mat. How I might embarrass myself? How weird do I look? Why am I here? That’s the *shirt* I used to think about. I mean I still think about that, but not so much anymore.Enter the coaches. They’re tentative and take the time to teach you the form and technique. They encourage you to do better and are never annoyed if you have questions. You can tell that they’re passionate about Muay Thai and really care for the students. The classes make you want to maximum effort everything. That’s a great mindset for your healthy gym goals, and for your everyday life stuff. The physical changes, I may not notice it. Apparently other people do. And I’m okay with that. Let’s get real, we get affected by body image issues. We don’t judge. We joke around mostly about gym stuff, but there is a high amount of respect. Everyone is super friendly and helpful — like family.Oh yeah, the gym. We help clean it. Respect the space. Cleanliness is next to godliness. If you want to kick start your fitness journey or try something new, definitely check this place out.
