TLDR: Terrible customer service, complete bungling of paperwork, causing additional charges. Detail: My first time working with State Farm for auto insurance, though I have carried auto insurance in Florida for 20 years. As was my standard I applied for the quote online with State Farm, not through the agent. I was assigned to this agent. From the beginning, this agent bungled my quote, failed to request the required documentation from me, delayed processing my documentation so that I have been overcharged, promised to rectify the same, and completely failed to do so or accept any responsibility for it. The first level personnel at this agent office have been very nice, but were not able to resolve the issues despite hours of phone calls, emails, and physically mailed documents. The manager at this office refuses to accept any responsibility, interrupts, talks over the customer, and gets confrontational when one stands ones ground as to the ultimate responsibility for any issues. I have filed a formal complaint with State Farm, and intend to look into options for filing a complaint with the state insurance commission. Baseline: This agent will screw up your policy, costing you money, many hours of lost time, and then refuse any responsibility for the correction.

We have a house that was built in 1951, but was extensively remodeled in 2015 to include new roof, new plumbing, new electrical, new AC, new appliances and updated in essentially every aspect. Unfortunately our previous insurance carrier Chub tripled our home insurance rate this year stating that our house was 70 years old. They were unreasonable and unwilling to work with us. We went to Tony Lopez StateFarm insurance Oriana Paez guided us through the process of a four-point inspection and were subsequently able to obtain insurance for our house as a 2015 new build thus returning our rate to where we were prior the unreasonable tripling based on age of our house.I have heard from many other people in Florida that their home Insurance rates have tripled this year based on age of their homes. We are extremely happy with Tony Lopez state farm insurance agency and Oriana Paez who helped guide us through the process to obtain a reasonable rate. They certainly made a difference for us. They are not only professional and reasonable but are friendly and responsive. I think the culture of their office is top notch. I would strongly recommend Tony Lopez state farm insurance to everyone; Especially anyone with an older house who now finds their rates tripling this year.
