I wanted to give 5 stars to one of the best leasing consultant Lorain Waldron. She is very professional, considerate, active listener, informative and goes out her way to help find a resolution to any concerns or questions. There’s been some issues with our apartment . Lorain and manager Luz have been really understanding and wonderful by listening to our frustrations, being straightforward with us and offering solutions. They seem to be concerned with the tenants well-being and the up keeping of the property. Overall the property is good, the amenities and the unit space is great!
This is a great community. they provide lots of amenities, pool, club house, gym...The staff is very helpful, Sobiesky is a very nice person, he answered all my questions on my tour, he helping me with my papers work. The property is clean and safety. I will recommended my friends to move here.
Very impressed with this place. Great apartments in a great area. Grounds and facilities are kept clean and beautiful. Not even to mention the friendly staff, especially Mr. Sobiesky, who made this process easier. Very knowledgeable and courteous person. I love this place and will recommend it to others, always.
While although not a current resident yet, the staff alone make me ready to apply! If anyone has questions regarding renting definitely give the place a call. I was able to speak with the WONDERFUL Loriane and her Manager Luz and they felt like best friends when talking and not just office staff. Loriane was extremely personable and anticipated all my questions with some terrific answers. Pricing and the actual place aside I can at least say the staff is terrific!
I just to moved to venue from Tennessee and i have to say the property is above par, very clean and well maintained, the office staff is very welcoming and friendly. I love it here
New resident, this place is amazing, very nice amenities for residents, in a very nice area, the staff in the main office is very friendly and helpful and I’m loving the new place.
I just recently signed my third lease because this place is awesome! The entire community as well as the amenities are always well kept and clean. The office staff especially Kellie who is amazing by the way!! She always makes sure everyones needs are met and is so helpful. My work orders are always done within a day or two. I look forward to spending another year at Venue. Im excited!!
If you book an appointment, make sure that you call them before. These people are the most unprofessional, inhumane, and narcissistic individuals that Ive ever had to deal with upon trying to rent an apartment.I used their website to book an appointment and its not a tour appointment. Its a REQUEST. They need to the request by contacting you however they DO not contact you.I ended up waiting the next day (today, the day of this writing which was my appt day), and I was told that the person who had my request went on vacation and I guess nobody decided to check that persons work to and see my request. So if I didnt call I wouldve been told too bad so sad for driving 45 minutes. In conclusion, give your money to a better leasing agency because I will too. I hope this post helps people make a smart decision on where they want to live.AND TO THE RESPONSE. I’M NOT LIVING HERE NOR WOULD I EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.
This place has been a blessing to me. Very accommodating and respectful and very helpful when fixing or handling problems. The apartments always keeps a clean and up keep environment from gyms to pools to trash always everything clean. Has plenty of amenities to keep you entertained or keep your family entertained. ALSO very safe, kids play around with a soccer ball or on the play ground and are actually courteous of others. People walking there dogs are always friendly and respectful. Never had any problems family friendly environment and all my friends loved it so highly recommended.
I just moved out from Venue due to health issues and management was a bless for me and my Mom.They were professional and understood my situation. I regret that I have to move out because during 2 years I never had issues with my unit.Property is always clean and amenities are awesome .
The maintenance manager is super helpful. The venue staff is quick and responsive when I bring up any issues. Thanks for being super helpful
I been living here for a year. And I actually really liked this place. The gym is freaking huge and spacious. And the apartment is actually nice. I really miss that place and thinking about moving back. Best place.
Living there almost 2 yrs. Staff very friendly & attentive. Problems with apt attended to promptly. Do not like rent payment grace period 3 days not 5.
I moved out of here around the start of 2020. The prices were so high. Lots of cockroaches, best thing there was the entertainment room and making friends. And also, people left needles in the playground molch and me and my buddies almost got stabbed by them. Lots of things stolen from people. Ive gotten robbed twice in 2014 - 2015. Just leave the place.
Apartment hunting and moving is easiest the most stressful world in the world, but Kelli, Peggy, & Mr Sobiesky make things so easy. Their maintenance staff is also right on it with helping in any apartment needs. The location is amazing as well, any exit you take you’re bound to either hit food, gas or entertainment ;)!One thing I appreciate from them is their responsiveness when I bring a problem to their attention. They are not afraid to take accountability to the things that do go wrong and make it their ultimate goal to make it RIGHT.I had a last minute move go wrong and I was not always the easiest tenant - but the team at The Venue never ONCE held that against me and made it their priority to make sure I had a roof over my head. They have consistent lawn care and also pest control. I’m on my second lease w them and I haven’t had a roach / bug issue! Thanks y’all for all you’ve done for us!😁
I dont know if I supposed to rates now cuz I just moved in today 8/20/16 and i found the place to be pretty impressed when I walk into my apartment the whole place was clean. The air and everything was on. When I walk in to get my keys the office was so nice. Management was professional. NEW UPDATE 9/2/16: It been a week since I move in and the apartment complex very quiet and clean. When I called in for service they comes in the next day. PLUS your need to understand that Winter Park Common is a old apartment complex. To me winter park common employees trying their best to keep it NEW. Everyday I see them up and down getting things done. NEW UPDATE 10/25/16, everything ease is good but your rent be going up like crazy out of know way, they be charging you all this unknown charges.
The staff is very professional. My concerns were taken care of with good timing. Maintenance response is good. I am very happy here. The manager is a professional and on top of everything, I love that. Move on in!
I call about two weeks for fix it washing machine.. nobody answers the phone I leave messages nobody call me back the property is terrible..
I called earlier this week to set up an appointment Saturday for 10:30 a.m. to tour the apartment. My sister and I drove there and there is no one inside the building nor is anyone picking up the phone.
3 bedroom apartment is very nice...that’s about it. The people at the office are untrustworthy and constantly go back on their word. Had a roach problem that they wouldn’t help with until I contacted higher ups. If you can go somewhere else, do it.
So far Ive had no issues living here. Kellie helps me all the time and thats awesome!
Absolutely not worth the rent!! they make it look nice by aesthetics but the functionality is terrible. community washer/dryer problems, trash pickup problems, rodent problems, and a bunch of theft (i have proof of pictures). residents have their car tires stolen, packages stolen, etc. i am so upset with myself for renewing my lease. i pay $1047 a month by myself to still feel miserable at home. the worst place i’ve lived since being in orlando 5 years
Since i moved there, i have no complains. the staff is very nice. very professional, very responsible and they very cool 10/10
This place is horrible and staff is so rude. my daughter needs to move out due to an emergency. the office manager is rude and is not willing to help.and nothing gets fixed in the apartments.
Service is good and the staff is welcoming
Never move here they’re money hungry they’ll try to make you pay more then what you signed up to pay they’re very rude and unprofessional the apartment and area is good it self but the management is horrible even the head quarters have bad reviews take your money somewhere it’ll be appreciated I just left here and I wish I could’ve saved my money and went somewhere else Just Be aware !!!
I was able to get an apartment fast at a good price. The staff was friendly and very helpful, especially Kelly. My room was nice, updated, and comfortable. It was also a nice experience for my family, having access to a pool, gym, and game room. Thanks Venue at Winter Park for a wonderful leasing experience. My recommendation for anyone with or without kids that wants a nice comfortable pet friendly apartment with all the necessities even location.
Before you consider renting from here Id say you need to stay away from this place. No matter how clean you can keep your apartment the roaches and gnats are really bad here. Ive had pest control here a few times and that still hasnt gotten rid of the issue even though I keep my place clean. They let homeless people hang around here, I cant tell you how many times Ive walked by the fitness center and it smelled like urine due to some homeless person using the bathroom outside of it. Anytime I call the office or call for maintenance I get treated like Im a nuisance from the leasing office and have at times had to wait several days just for maintenance to swing by and not take care of the issue whatsoever. Theres also alot of drug dealers here, one of my neighbors car windows got shot up last week, a few months ago one of my other neighbors was stabbed, and someone also broke into the fitness room and stole a tv. There are also alot of people here that like to blast their music at full blast at all kinds of different hours at night and this place altogether is bad news. If I where you and you wanted to stay in a decent clean neighborhood with no ac/heater issues, cracks in the walls, ceilings, and other maintenance issues where theres no crime and a lack of respect from neighbors Id stay far away from here.
I moved out of the Venue about a year ago and it was the best decision I could’ve made. The staff is extremely unprofessional and they use scare tactics to rush you into decisions that you should be able to take more time to consider. They upped my rent by $300 with no notification or reasoning. Their whole management company is a scam. They probably spent more money on new golf carts then they did in apartment renovations and tenant care. All the staff does all day is sit in the office or ride on golf carts. Zero stars.
Ive lived at this residence for 2 years the management team is exceptionally awesome whenever anything seemed to be amiss they responded quickly and efficiently to resolve the issues and theyre doing beautiful remodeling throughout the whole property its very close to a lot of amenities throughout town And has been one of my most convenient renting experiences Ive had. I was able to become close with the whole office team and they showed that they are tenants are valued.
Very nice community, very nice amenities such as multiple pools and well equipped fitness facility.
I attend Full Sail University and this is a great place for any student who wants to live near the campus. The property is nice and clean, the staff are always helpful, and its overall just a great place to live. I would definitely recommend to any student and anybody in general just looking for a nice apartment complex to live in.
I’m only leaving this review because of Luz the Property Manager. She’s the only reason why I renewed my lease last year. I was ready to cut ties and find somewhere else to live. I was having maintenance issue. She is always ready to listen and take action. I was having a lot of maintenance issues, and at my wits end when I went to Luz. If it doesn’t get done and you go to her she gets it done. I like her because she seems to be the only professional surrounded by knuckle heads who make excuses for EVERYTHING! Which brings me to Peggy who’s about as useful as a dull knife. Peggy (the loudest person in the room) will tell you anything to get you to move in and sign the lease and then when you sign the lease, oh well, I didn’t say that! So if you deal with Peggy document it, record it, write it down, get homing pigeons something, anything, because I guarantee you what she‘ll tell you will be completely different from the end result! So while I give this review 5 stars if this was a review simply about Peggy, I would give it, if I could a negative 0.
I moved into this complex two years ago, it has grown immensely under the property manager - Ms. Medina. She is on top of everything. I had a maintenance issue last week, went to Luz and it was fixed. Carlos did an amazing job, repairing it. Thank you!
I moved into Venue at Winter Park in 2018. Peggy leased me my first apartment. She worked with me and got me a good rate. When I had to transfer apartments because I had back surgery last year, Peggy and her team made sure I got into an apartment on the ground floor, so that I wouldnt have to schlep up and down the stairs, and she made sure that I was okay. Thank you Peggy!
Never, EVER, under any circumstances live here. I was a resident from August 2017-November 2018, meaning I lived here when the new owners came in and changed it to Venue. First thing they did was repaint the apartments and tell residents that they would be remodeling apartments. No big deal, they were old, they could use some renovating. Then they spiked the rent up to a completely unreasonable price, considering all they did was repaint the cabinets and change out the kitchen appliances. This apartment complex wants nearly a thousand dollars a month to live in somewhere with no gate, a complete lack of security, nine public washers and nine public dryers that only accept card payments when they work properly, and that’s if you’re living in a one bedroom with no pets. Not to mention a pitiful maintenance response time. From June through August my air conditioner did not work at all, leading it to being 90 in my apartment for hours at a time. Six times I must have called the office to have it fixed, and only when I went in to say I was planning on moving when my lease was up did they finally send someone to fix it. And when you finally get out and they send you your deposit back? I paid one hundred and fifty dollars for my deposit, and I get sent back only fifteen with no explanation. I spent my entire weekend cleaning that apartment from top to bottom, I probably made it look better than when I moved in, and they sent me 10% of what I paid just to move in. I think that the only redeeming quality this complex has is that it is a hop and a skip away from Steak n’ Shake, but otherwise, avoid this complex like the devil himself.
I’m moving to orlando and this property was one of my choices. The property is well kept, it’s in a great location. The fitness center is great and has everything I need. I was treated with first in class service. I look forward to making it home in a few months.
My apartment had issues with the a/c. The maintenance has to comeback to figure out the problem. They promptly came and figured it out right away. There was some part that had to get, but they had to order it and they were going to give me one the unit a/c.Well to my surprise they came with a new part and put it in. I was so thankful for their fast service and the maintenance that I met that day were super polite and kind.
Just signed my lease...and is totally happy with my apartment. The leasing manager and employees are wonderful and understanding. My leasing consultant was Kelly she did a phenomenal job with getting me moved in and assuring that all my needs and problems were resolved. I am happy to call this home 🏡.....
Kellie is Amazing!! She was so helpful in getting in our son settled in.She has even called me out here in California to let me know she saw him and that he seemed well. A blessing when he is so far away! Great place with renovations and new windows!
A pretty nice place
I have been a resident here for a year now and I just renewed for my 2nd. The maintenance staff are very accommodating and even when it’s not an emergency most times they come the same day. The office staff are always available to handle concerns and so far I have no issues, they’re all very nice to us. And for the area the Apts are big and roomy and have much entertainment with amenities.
My boyfriend and I came to the leasing office to view the apartment a little discouraged with our search. Everyone in the office was attentive, pleasant and dedicated to our customer satisfaction. When we viewed the newly renovated apartments, we couldn’t help but be pleased with the things we saw. Peggy was right on it and knowledgeable about everything and anticipated my every need and answered every question. I’ve never been so pleased. We are so excited to move in and I recommend this apartment complex to any and everyone!
This complex is very clean and well managed. The staff is courteous and helped me whenever a problem arised. I’ve lived there for the past two years and it’s been a positive experience.
Im new to the Orlando area and I moved into venue at winter park apartments, I really enjoyed the hospitality from property manager and the staff! My unit Is amazing, I love the area and all the amenities that came with living here ! Thank you some much venue park for being awesome !
Idk about the former management team but the leasing consultants we met so far were so helpful and made their best effort to help us......... big thumbs up to Sobieskyupdate: been living here for 10 months and another big thumbs up to Kelly! She really does her best to help the residents
I am a new tenant and I would like to say so far my experience has been great, the application process is very easy and management is very attentive and helpful. Any problems or concerns are addressed immediately. The staff is very professional and are always available to assist. My apartment was in great condition thanks to the staff and management. I highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and good management.
I have been extremely pleased with the service my husband and I have received at the Venue at Winter Park. Kellie is amazing and we are so appreciative of all she has done to make our experience here to date the best it could possibly be! Thank you!
I have enjoyed my three-year stay at Winter Park Commons. Maintenance has consistently gone above and beyond to respond to my requests... Just as one example, once my AC was out, and because they didnt have the parts on hand to fix the AC unit that day, they installed a makeshift unit in my window to do the job for the day until they could get the parts in. The management and staff have always been attentive, friendly, respectful, and considerate toward me, particularly the manager Heather Clayton. I have had no safety concerns while living here, and I will miss the convenience of this great location. After three years, I have never had any gripes about the management or any interactions I have had with staff... I have been able to do my own thing and call on them when I need assistance, and thats all I would really ask for in an apartment complex. I have had no issues with my neighbors or the community in general, and there seems to be a healthy mix of students, young professionals, and families. I would recommend Winter Park Commons to anyone looking for an affordable, pleasant place where you can mind your own business and enjoy the convenience of the location.
Kelly and Peggy makes Venue at Winter Park pleasant. This is truly a home away from home for my son and the other 4 young men that are residing there as the attend their first year of college. Thank you ladies.
To start off, This place was spraying paint fumes in our apartment while we had pets. They wanted to spray paint in our kitchen and bathroom while we were still living here. The only thing good is maintenance is responsive. They are attentive to the various problems we’ve had here with the shower and air conditioner not working. Now, Venue bought this place after the time our lease began and waited until six months to post a poorly written eviction letter stating if we didn’t change our interested party on our renters insurance we’d be evicted. They communicate with residents very poorly and don’t care about hospitality or customer service here. They waited until then to tell us this, Instead of proactively informing us in a timely manor. Mostly just poor management. I emphasize that this is a nice place and location, It’s the people who run this place that are the cause of the one star. Having a poorly managed complex will overshadow any of the benefits you get from the location alone.______________________________________________
When i woke up at midnight on 9/8/18 i found out that my AC unit stopped working and the home is at 80 degrees. This is not the 1st time the ac unit stopped working here but when it happened last time maintenance came asap and helped me with this issue but this time Eric the maintenance on call returned my phone call and told me that he wasnt going to come since its at night and to open the windows i replied to him that i have a baby in the home and he didnt care so i asked if he can call his supervisor because this is unacceptable the house being hot and kids in the home he still didnt care and told me that he will come in the morning and to just open the windows then hung up.
If I could give zero stars I would. I honestly do not know where to start. This place is a nightmare! It was our first place and it honestly taught us how a property should NEVER be ran. The first week there our heater was broken! When the maintenance came to fix it they broke our pantry door! Literally the door fell on me and no one left a note or anything saying it had been broken. So here we are with a broken door for the next 2 months because maintenance claimed they had to order a new door because it was unfixable. However one day I called extremely frustrated and someone was sent over to fix it and miraculously fixed the door in 5 minutes! So we went 2 months with a broken door for no reason! Next issue is our dishwasher was broken when we moved in as well along with my closet door not being able to shut all the way ever. Our AC never worked properly at all & As days went by All the “makeup” that PEGGY referred to when we were trying desperately to see our apartment before move in started to wear off! Holes appeared EVERYWHERE on the ceilings. DENTS are everywhere in the walls and very poorly covered up. We had ants due to these holes. Went through hell to get put on the list for pest control each week with them or most likely PEGGY forgetting. Let me also not forget that every time it rained our bedroom literally would flood because the window were not sealed properly eventually causing mold in the room! Also They called us 5 months into living in our apartment to tell us we owed more on our deposit. Like what??? It takes you guys 5 months to find this out? Also, the noise that goes on in that community is ridiculous! Day and night! And like someone else mentioned the walls are FULL of lead! DO NOT MOVE HERE! Everyone is terrible especially Peggy! Do not let her fool you with those corny jokes. Her memory is terrible and will claim to be on top of something for you but always “forgets”.The property is garbage and they all know it! Do not be fooled by the cheap upgrades everything will break!!RESPONSE- We are lucky enough to not be living in your community anymore. The post was written in clear past tense.
Been a resident for two years. There are constantly issues here. We had a leak under the slab in our apartment, which lead to us having an electric bill 5-6 times the normal amount. It took them almost 6 months to find the issue and get it resolved, costing us an additional $1500. There has yet to be any sort of reimbursement due to their management staff constantly changing. If you can afford a little extra for an apartment, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere in the area. This place is not worth the amount of rent that they charge.UPDATE: If it were possible to give 0 stars I would. All of a sudden, after moving out, I get a bill in the mail from a collection agency for $245. I have not received a bill from them in the amount and have received no communication on what the charges are for. Out of the blue there is just a big collections bill in my name. Dont rent here, they continue to screw you over even after you leave.
Nice quiet apartment complex. During my visit and tour of the property to see about potentially leasing a unit, there was an extraneous amount of dog poop throughout the complex. Unfortunately I stepped in several piles during my tour that was destructive to my footwear. Management should have the grounds cleaned of poop daily to eliminate this hazard.
When you first move in they are very nice and helpful. After they take your money staff is very rude. Very slow to fix problems. Appliances constantly break down. No one answers the phone or return emails. Extremely over price for what you receive. Trash area is always over flowing. Security is never around. Staff is not here to help tenants. I was asked to leave because there was nothing further she could do.
I live in venue at Winterpark. My AC had some problem and stopped working which I noticed at 20:00. I rang the maintenance team at 20:05, they returned my call in just 8 mnts, came at around 20:20 and fixed it then and there. Very efficient and friendly maintenance team, especially Eric. Thank you Eric.
So far I have no issues. Sobiesky is always very helpful. Thanks Venue
I love all the amenities. The property is Well kept.
Our apartment is falling apart our bathtub was painted over the picture shown was from having our bathmat in there for our 1 year old they came in and replaced the kitchen light asked for the holes to be repaired when they did a walk-through still hasnt been taken care of 3 months later they recently did our bedroom windows they never did a walk-through inspection and with the increasing rain and irrigation sprinkler system the bottom of our Windows continue to crack we had a complaint of water and our living room so they came and tore into the wall they never came back to repair it we are still showing water damage under the carpet I recently wanted to rearrange our living room and in the picture shown it was the feet of our heavy TV stand soaked in water upon them not fixing the wall we had to put Furniture in front to hide and to keep our living room safe again for our one year old child. Since the new company took over in January of this year none of the amenities have been available due to renovations ....
I have lived here for about 5 years. This is my second apartment, at first I was fine but when it became Venue at Winter Park I became unhappy I move in 2 weeks. The upgrades are nice, but why not wait until I leave, I work from home and it has been extremely annoying. I have had to take time off because workers in my apartment all day making noise. This is my home and I feel I have zero privacy.
On our second year, we can honestly say, its the empliyees that make the difference. ALL of them are worthy of honorable mention. We are very happy here.
Venue had the audacity to post an eviction letter on our door stating that if we didnt update out renters insurance to include their new company (Venue) that wed be evicted, Complete disrespect for time and hospitality. They had six months to inform residents of this as we signed our lease in September with the original company. We dont appreciate being treated in a hostile manor that shows no respect towards the residents. When we brought the problem up at the leasing office we were told to calm down. Great hospitality and customer service!! Yeah right, Avoid at all costs.Edit: In response to the ludicrous claim that threatening residents is necessary in response to my review: what a pathetic excuse for emotional harassment and legal threats which impact all residents who have to deal with such terrible communication skills. It took this complex FIVE MONTHS to inform us any changes were needed, and they way they chose to inform us was by THREATENING TO THROW US OUT. Not just me or my fiance - but almost the whole complex from what I understand. NO prior notice to take action was given AT ALL. There is NO EXCUSE for something like that. So now everyone can clearly see that not only does this management have poor communication skills, but they are unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes.
I live in these apartments and they are horrible. Ive never been late on my rent and yet every year they send me a stupid bill for their oversight. And now this year I was suppose to move, but my friend I was gonna move in with sadly died, so I had to stay here. The first year they raised my rent 130$ a month and this year they went up almost 50$. And now they send me a bill for 277$, and for what i have no idea. Ive been charged for pest control every month and they have only been in one time EVER. Nothing but lies from those in the office. This will be my last year here. And unless you have no other choice check other apartments. Theyve remodeled here but basically its lipstick on a pig. They will be all sweet when you come in but trust me they dont give a damn. Do yourself a favor and dont move here till the management changes.
I have been living here for the last 7 months, and every time I have any questions or concerns, Sobiesky have been really helpful. I’d like to thank him for making my Venue living better.
How could you close our store how could you do that to us I have been shopping there ever since it opened now what am I going to do you guys need to get it together what does a plus size person do now
Okay, so there are many thing good and bad to be said about living at Venue. We currently live here, and although management has gotten much better the maintenance could use improvement. We have worked with everyone in the office and can agree with many here on the fact that the ladies at the office will work as hard as possible, to get you what you need. We work mostly with Peggy, who is an absolute delight and a very patient woman who will go out of her way to make you happy. Shaina and Kelly are also good help but we havent dealt with upper management much since it seems to continuously change. That being said, the only way to get anything done is to leave hindering reviews and severe begging of maintance.
Im disappointed that the gym was supposed to be up and running months ago and its still under renovations. We were told September, then mid October, then mid November, and now nothing.I wish you guys were a little more forthcoming. The communication on this sucks. Whats going on with the gym?? Are we going to even have one (and are we being charged for an amenity we havent even seen yet?) Where is it going to be? When will it finally be done?I would just like to know whats going on...Thank you!
I should have left this a few days ago, but ive been really busy, but I wanted to leave a quick thank you - to Luz for getting it done. Thank you!
For a fairly large community, the staff of WPC are on the ball. All requests for service were answered promptly and to my satisfaction. The residents are quiet and respect their neighborhood; many apts are adorned w/outdoor decor, floral arrangements, and plant life. The fitness center is the best Ive seen to date, the pool/laundry centers are keep as close to pristine as possible, and the grounds are always well maintained. The units themselves are older but spacious and the appliances are modern and well kept. Ive only been one month but from what Ive seen, I plan on staying for quite a while.
Do not rent here. They have increased costs to here. Increased our cost of water to $70 dollars, which isnt in our contract. Attempts to fix ongoing issues in our apt not fixed after several complaints. Other ongoing issues that still need to be fixed. We where told our rent would be one price and ended up paying way more.Trash left out way beyond the dumpster on a regular basis always smells.Extremely dissatisfied.
We had to be moved to another apartment prior to move in due to a flea infestation 4 days prior to moving in, and while we were changed to a vinyl-floor upgrade at no additional cost, the new apartment was not move-in ready. We found at this time you cannot not get office staff on the phone and they will not reply to voicemails. This made communication prior to move-in difficult and miscommunication continues to this day. The apartment had several issues move-in and took multiple visits to the office, multiple in-person and phone chats with staff members, and ultimately, a bad review I left on the website to address them. I also tried to call Bell Management twice and no one has returned my call. One issue was that there was no kitchen drawer for utensils and upon mentioning this to one of the staff members, she said, We do not guarantee that our models match the apartment you are moved into. Many of the maintenance issues have been taken care of but it has taken a month - maintenance is very slow (2-3 weeks for completion) and not thorough compared to other apartments I have been at. One job took multiple emails and visits to be completed. As for pest control, it has been working (though we still have ants) in our kitchen after several visits, but now we have ants in the bedroom and the pest control employee told me he cannot spray in the bedroom. I am still waiting on information from two laundry machines that I paid for and used soap for and yet went out of order after speaking with 2 office staff. The office staff has given me attitude on two occasions and so far the communication between the staff about our situation has been quite poor, however the new manager/director lady has been the only one who has taken time and attention to the problems. There is dog poop everywhere and the neighborhood trash compactor is overflowing. We would move out due to our dissatisfaction but we are locked into a lease. I dont feel that it is fair to pay the full rent (which is too high considering the level of quality and service) when we encounter many problems and still have problems at present with the apartment. I will update if the situation gets better but as of right now, we wish we were living somewhere else.
The apartment is nice and we have a nonupgraded unit. The problem here is with the staff - its hard to communicate with them. Like other reviews have stated, the employee retention rate is low. We havent been able to speak to the same person about our issues more than a few times because they keep quitting. Also, theyre terrible at returning emails and they really dont care if you have an issue. A maintenance worker picked up a piece of my property that I had dropped on the ground (I saw it happen through the window) and when I asked the staff for help getting it back, they ignored my requests.
The old strawberry fields apartments in Winter Park. They have updated the common areas and made it a nice community and a very convenient location
Ive had numerous problems with my apartment when i moved in but noted the negatives but didnt notate the properties response. The team has done a great job at resolving all my issues in a timely manner and i understand during that time is when the new management take over happened. I appreciate the work the team does and this review is to show these ppl get yhe job done! Great job thank you....Alex R
Nice place to shop and they are great restaurants, and also to just go on a sight seeing.
REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT LIVE IN THE BERKSHIRE COMMUNITY-I have been living in the Berkshire @ Winter Park for a few months now. I would never recommend living in the community. The people in the neighborhood yell, curse, and are extremely rude. Ghetto is the only term to come to mind to describe them. The apartments fall apart. The dishwasher never worked from day 1. My ceiling in my bathroom fell in (could see pipes) and had are upstairs neighbor toilet water leek into my bathroom. Not only did this lead to a horrible patch job, but I found out these apartment were built with asbestos so my family was probably exposed to that. People steal around here, even from children. Oh and they like to randomly tow peoples car. Say your tags are expired and you are in the process of getting them, they will have your vehicle towed. Which leads me to say that the front office workers are a JOKE. When you make a complaint they become disrespectful. I have been sexually harassed by other residents. I can not even go for a walk without a person slowing down and saying a perverted comment. Please do yourself a favor and take your money else where. They make it look nice when you pull in with the future resident parking, golf carts, and flowers in the front. Dont fall for this place should be called the Broke shires at Winter park but this is technically not Winter Park, it is in the Orange county jurisdiction which is misleading when looking for a safe community for your family considering a person was pistol whipped last week at the community pool. Just trying to help others out before making the same mistake we did.
These apartments are not worth living in. The management here IS NOT to be trusted at all, everything that they tell you is a lie, they just want your money. Management treats their employees like crap as well as their tenants. These apartments is just a crime, drug haven that are full of Full Sail University students. Check the Orange County Police Departments records for yourself. They make you promises that they have no intentions of keeping.Berkshires at Winter Park Activities include sex in the pools, several rapes in the apartments as well as lots and lots of drugs sold from the Berkshires at Winter Park Apartments as well as many, many home invasions and much more....MOVE IN Berkshires at Winter Park AT YOUR OWN RISK ...Management is not at all professional in any way, they only have one objective, and that is to take your money.Management always says, Please come by the office to discuss your concerns. The only thing that the Property Manager and staff will do is lie to you and possibly evict you for complaining. Carmen the Property Manager will look you eye to eye and lie.
There is no one better than Luz, Kelly, and Sobieski. Always there with an answer, or a solution.
Humans who work here are exceedingly inconsiderate and dont ACTUALLY care about their residents.
Peggy and the other staff is always courteous and kind to me and my family. Maintenance is prompt to fix any reported issues. The complex’s location is prefect for commuting or going out to shop. Full Sail University is about a block away give or take. Ovideo, Casselberry, Altamonte Springs and Sanford are minutes away! Come and check out community!
The place looks horrible & ghetto. It doesnt look like what they advertised on their website. I scheduled an appointment to view the apartments and I came by and I just left immediately. The price is cheap but thats because its ghetto and the neighborhood is run down. I should have known better once I saw the two stars. I wouldnt live here unless its your only option. Read all of the other reviews the complex doesnt even like to fix anything with the apartments and theyre rude.
I lived here and im so glad i got out .This Venue is Real Shady. Matience worker came into my house without permission and didnt annouce themselves when he realized someone was home he left my house instantly. There are Many times my mail was taken and ive seen matience worker in the early hours of morning looking and opening residents mail. My car has been vandalized multiple times here to a point where i had to get cameras because the office manager claimed they didnt have cameras on the property. Every night there are random cars coming in and out of this neighborhood just hanging around with the lights on in the streets disturbing those who have houses on the bottom floor. They have security in there but that means absolutely nothing compared to the horrible experience ive had in that neighborhood. Dont give these people your business.
Venue apartment is going very bad the service now is worse the people in the office does not lesion they are saying we are renovating but doing nothing I tell them several time to fix the window they dont do it even for the carpet as well same and the corporate is just increasing the apartment rate and stilling our money from the time I am moving from here and I will say dont rent this apartment because this is the worst apartment in the community be care full
Me and my fiancé just moved in. We had a really rough start at first. But we really appreciate the help and support of the staff they fought with us in getting everything done. Especially Mrs Shannie, Ms Kelly, and Mrs Peggy. We also appreciate Ms Lue for all her help as well. We are excited about our new start and the apartments are very cozy and cute. We would recommend the property and will say ask for any of the staff listed above they are really sweet and helpful.
Do not move here. Seriously. I know the $100 security deposit looks appealing but its not worth it. Roaches, ants, they blame all of that on you btw when you move out so they dont have to give you the deposit back. Worst thing about this place? THE FRONT OFFICE. By far the WORST customer service Ive ever experienced. Youre greeted with a What do you want attitude if you are even greeted at all. Random fees with no explanation. My agreed upon rent amount is $776. I pay $826 every month now and I dont even know why. The office just tells me Its admin fees. Do NOT move here. Keep scrolling down your list of places.
Is a zero star review possible? Worst staff, terrible office employees. Two years later this place is still haunting my. Trying to turn my roommates in to collections and losing our paperwork so now we cant rent until its figured out. This is the worst service mixed with the worst intelligence. If you live here be prepared for a terrible life experience not only now but in the future as well.
Just moved out cleaned everything out of the apartment but they still want to charge me a 175$ trash fee for 2 small paintings left inside. Great management.
Kelly is so kind and helpful, beautiful property
Winter park Commons is a place to call home,New management in front office makes you feel welcomed, lived there a month already had a sink clog and a maintenance tech with a pony tail was so friendly and very clean so I cant complain to to much.Thank you..
I just moved in. The roach problem is out of control as is the ant problem. The units are so much older and more run down than the model unit they show you. Marks and graffiti that is lightly painted over. I came in to the ac not working on a say that was over 90 degrees. They did at least fix that the same day, though nothing else has been done. Mildew on the balcony, outlets dont work blah blah blah. It is a nice area to live in though and its not the hood so thats a plus. Lll
Living at Venue at Winter Park was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a management company. Everything the other reviews mention is the truth so I am saving myself the headache of re-typing the complaints. I would never recommend a Robbins managed property to anyone. I broke my lease to get out of that nightmare. It was worth the $1700.
As indicated by several other tenants, communication is a major issue. Rather than phoning or emailing about an issue, the main means of communication is to post eviction notices. For example, they posted an eviction letter stating that if we didnt update our renters insurance to include their new company (Venue) we would be evicted. I called the eRenters and they assured us that the renters insurance had been automatically renewed and was in the proper name (Venue of Winter Park).. I would have appreciated a heads up email or phone call rather than the agressive and hostile approach of posting the notice. Training needs to be conducted on effective communication, customer service, and ways to avoid upsetting cusomters. I am very disappointed.
This review is based on our experience with the application and lease signing and overall hospitality and ease of our experience. My wife and I were looking for our first place together since getting married. We found a place a little far from our jobs but it was affordable. The place Wingwood not only made the process a hassle by not answering calls or emails then didnt tell us the manager wasnt at work the day we were scheduled to sign our lease! Needless to say we were stressed out and upset as the scheduled moving date was closing in. Then we found Nelly at Winter Park Commons. She made the process easy and was very transparent. Not only was the apartment just what we were looking for it was actually 220 more square feet than the 500 at the other place! 3 pools, 24hr maintenance, the amenities alone sold us and it qas only $10 more monthly! The Staff was great especially Nelly and the place is nice, we cant wait till we move in!
Worst experience living here! Terrible apartments, roach infested, expensive, piece of crap. If you even are considering this complex consider living on a friends couch instead or maybe a park bench because it might just be better than this awful place if I could give it negative stars I would I feel like a 1 is a compliment. Besides how filthy and expensive it is its right on semoran so have fun listening to every car go by and especially the cops. Welcome to Winter Park Commons the kings of screwing people over. Sorry for anyone who has to live there and good luck if youve already started your lease without seeing this post.
Twice now Ive not been able to go outside because theres been a police standoff with guns pointed at my neighbors door. I dont think they background check.
I’ve been living in here more than 8-9 months in a 3 room apartment. I just called the apartment office to talk about renewing my contract because it will end this November. They sent me a letter a couple days ago that says my rent is going to be around $200 more include water. I just called them and asked if they will change the floors in the apartment. The lady on the phone told me that nothing is going to change and after I asked why you’re charging us $200 more she said she doesn’t know and she hold me on the line. Then the next lady(probably the manager) said exactly this “ Okay dear, we won’t change anything because we can’t pay for your things to move out and then move in again, if you want to transfer to a new place with new floors you have to pay $300 for transfer.” This is ridiculous ! This is so rude ! From $1295 to more than $1500 rent and they’re saying me floor is going to be same, if I want a new place I need to pay $300 extra transfer ! I can see why all of my old neighbors moved right now ! I don’t suggest anyone to live in this place. Even though you pay money for everything they’re so rude. They don’t respect for anything.
Really like living here and the pool is awesome
