My Oldest Son was already a Customer, but I hadnt used them until 2 weeks ago for my other Sons first build. I called the location to discuss which direction to go, and Jeff (the Owner) was extremely helpful and down to earth. He took the time on the phone to walk me through how he recommended that I go forward, so I decided to run with a Desktop that he had coming in. When I came in to view it and make my decision, I found him to be a professional and outstanding individual. We are so happy with the Desktop, and would highly recommend his Business to anyone!. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Im currently writing this review on the computer that Chris helped repair. Chris was very helpful and informative about what I could do to help improve my computer in the future based on what he discovered by running some diagnostics. He was honest about what needed to be done without charging me for anything excessive or unnecessary. If you live in the area then this is the place to repair your computer. Im already recommending this place to friends and family.

My laptop that I use for work was left in a car in the Florida heat over the weekend and Monday morning I was met with BIOS and Blue Screens. My laptop is a top of the line ASUS ROG custom desktop replacement (32 gb RAM, i9 processor, 2080 graphics card, 17.3 in screen, dual power supplies, etc. It is a power hungry machine and produces a lot of heat which is normally offset beautifully by dual exhaust fans loud enough to make sure that you need to mute your mic if they kick in during a meeting). After 2 failed boots, I was able to boot well enough to join my first meeting of the day, only to blue screen shortly after I gave my update.I knew this wasnt going to work and I havent built my own PC in almost a decade, so I Googled computer repair near me, sorting by reviews and Foound West Orlando Custom Build, 4.9 ⭐ and 90 reviews, so I called them up and asked if they could take a look at my machine.They were so professional and welcoming, and within 30 minutes, I was at their location and put in their system, this was around 10am. I asked if they had the option to expedite, since this is my work laptop, and they said that they do but didnt think that I needed to, since they are first in, first out and I was only 3rd in line. I asked them how much to expedite anyway since this is my means of making money and they said it was only $50! I was sold.I dropped it off and checked back in at noon. My laptop was overheating to near the high 90s Celsius, not good, but they were extremely cautious to make sure that they do the diagnostics while not cooking the CPU or motherboard.They informed me that they would like to repaste the CPU to get the temps down so they could do full diagnostics, which I was already going to ask them to do anyway, since the paste was at least 4 years old and likely due to be redone. This was around noon.Around 2pm, they had stabilized the heating issue and discovered the source of the blue screens. One of the three Solid State drives had died, so they gave me several options to fix this issue, including ordering the exact same drive to replace the faulty one, reconfiguring the 2 remaining SSDs to be master/slave and removing the faulty one altogether, or getting a similar but less performant drive to replace the faulty one. I chose the least expensive of the three, to simply go from three to two SSDs since I have not even put 50gb of the available 1tb onto the computer.They agreed and said that if I wanted, they have a data recovery team that could try to recover anything from the faulty drive, but I declined since I had nothing of value on the drive.They reconfigured the remaining 2 SSDs to work seamlessly, loaded windows 10 back onto the laptop, and even made sure to grab all updates, necessary drivers, and required proprietary software provided by ASUS/ROG/Nvidia/and Aura, handing me back a plug and play, ready to use laptop by 4:30 PM.And to all that say that West Orlando Custom Build is pricey, hear this, they did all of this for $220 out the door. Before you think thats pricey, realize were talking about a $4,000 laptop that was left in a car directly in the Florida sun to cook for over 4 hours. $50 to expedite the fix, so really the cost was only $170, and that includes FREE diagnostics, $59 for professional removal of 4 year old thermal paste, reapplication, reseating the CPU, and post diagnostics, and only $99 to completely reconfigure the hard drives to remove one, reload windows 10, installation of all drivers, software and updates, and post diagnostics, bench testing, and final delivery.They handed my laptop back to me better than I gave it to them, were very responsive, respectful, knowledgeable, and reasonable, and above all, they were transparent, honest, and fair. I am a software engineer by trade and have built several custom computers myself, but I no longer have the time or the tools anymore to mess around with it. I still mostly know things well enough to tell you that there was nothing except professionalism, experience, and honesty at an exceptional price.

WOCB clearly had the technical advantage over competitors as they knew about the optional HDD sensor where other places did not. My email inquiries were responded to promptly and the service delivered quickly with quality parts that I would choose myself. Taking an iMac apart and ensuring no dust gets between the monitor and LED is challenging, but I have 100% satisfaction with the work. Thank you!

Chris and Jeff were very professional in helping me with my new computer. I had to get a complete new computer and the turn around was 3 days. I am of the older generation and do not have the computer skills to install a program and its information. Jeff was able to install my old information in a program remotely so I didnt have to leave my computer. at their store. They are very professional, so you know who will be working on your computer. I thought my guy at Best Buy was good however West Orlando Custom Builders is so so much better Best Buy.

OUTSTANDING!!! Chris is now my go-to guy for anything computers! Yes, as other person put it, a little pricey compared to box store technicians, but the quality and service surpass my other computer repair experiences in past. My son spends 12-14 hrs a day on his high performance computer, pushing it to its limits and almost yearly it has a major issue. This time we tried someone new, so glad we did. Same day dropped off he had it troubleshot down to a hardware issue I never considered would cause the problems we had, not even part mentioned in chat groups. By next day he had replaced part, stress tested it for 12 hrs and even cleaned inside. My son says it runs better than new. Past two times with same brand computer we used GEEK Squad (only because I bought extra warranty from them) and it would take over a month to get back because it seems like they cannot fix anything in house, the last time they had it for two months and then lost computer! Thank you Chris!!!

Wow. these guys are amazing. i recently had to replace a part in my build, and as a novice builder... i quite honestly had no clue what i was doing. needless to say, i broke a the SATA cable in the process. doing that, my computer would not boot up. i immediately went to these guys apologizing that i didn’t have an appointment. they were able to diagnose the problem quickly in between appointments which i’m extremely grateful for. walked out only paying for a replacement cable and my computer works just like it did before I messed up while upgrading. thank you so much guys! 💖

Have gone here a number of times now for various computer repair issues and the service is always top notch. The staff is beyond friendly, and knowledgeable.This most recent time I went in, my brothers gaming computer wasnt starting and they tried to get it done while we were there to save us an extra trip which is great service! Unfortunately it turned out to be a more complicated job and they had to keep the computer. BUT before we even got home they were calling us to tell me what the problem was and get my authorization, and it was up and running in less than 24 hours. Jeff and his guys do absolutely amazing computer repair work. Ive had my All-in-One PC for over 2 years and it still runs like how I bought it from them. Bit pricey but well worth it unless you want to buy a computer that is factory made and has a very limited life time with no one to rely on besides manufacturer or BestBuy Geek Squad to repair it within a year.
