Really wanted to like this place because I can walk there fm my house and its locally owned. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing new-customer experience for me. My first experience with these guys, while it took a couple trips, has been great. The AC issue on my out of warranty 2015 Golf was a bear to diagnose but Nate kept me informed and advised of costs along the way. I really appreciated their approach and Ill be back for regular maintence. There is nothing fancy about their facility but their team knows VWs. I highly recommend them!

Highly recommend, brought my VW GTI for major engine issues that other shops told me I would need a new engine, after them having it for 1 day they diagnosed the problem and provided a solution, told me it would take 1 week, got the car back in 3 days. Great service and comunication from these guys.

I have taken my Volkswagen Jetta there many times. The team over there is great! They always had time to fit me in theyre busy day. They are very appropriate and they took their time to explain everything to me about vehicle. The pricing very fair. I highly recommend them! It had been my best experience with car repair. Took my 2006 VW Jetta Diesel in for oil change. Was very pleased with the service and cost. Nate went over my car and told me things I didnt know. After service the only issue was it will need new tires soon (I knew that). Was great talking to a true VW car guy. Will go back for all future service.

Heres a story about how this shop charged me over $2500 & never fixed the issue.I had an oil pressure sensor light on for about 2 months. It didnt seem to be causing any trouble and the lack of symptoms suggested a faulty sensor. No big deal. In April, I started leaking coolant, this was a big deal. I took the car to Jasons, as I had in the past (I actually posted a great review for them a year ago) the receptionist, Nate, said could be just a sensor and had try to get it fixed as cheaply as possible. Now at this time my fiance had just received a bonus so we were decided whether to buy a new car or fix this one, seeing as we had paid over $10k for it less than a year ago, with Nates gaurentee itll run like new, we decided to have it fixed. The first call tells me, new water pump, okay cool, then he tell me the oil pressure issue (hot oil) burned a whole through the water pump, which is why we have to replace it. And I also need a timing chain and all new seals and gaskets or the issue would come back, totaling $1800+, he also said I needed new tires, we trusted him and agreed when it was said and done it was over $2400.I get the car, after about half hour of driving the light came on..again. the issue was not fixed. I had family matter to attend to out of state and my fiance continued to drive the car, because again, the oil pressure light didnt seem to be producing any symptoms and I mean, after spending $2400 on gaskets and sealants I know there isnt a leak.I bring the car to them, they tell me, maybe dirt, in the bottom of the oil pan is causing this and they need an additional $100 to clean it. Livid, I agree.Now this is where it gets sketchy, when I pick up my car a week later and complain about having already paid all this money and question why exactly belts and things were changed if the light was being triggered by a $100 fix? Then Nate says that no, the oil didnt put a hole in my water pump, the issues were unrelated, contradicting what he had originally told me to get me to agree to all the work. He did this in the most condescending manner you could imagine. I was not happy, but I was not yelling, I was not insulting, I was simply perturbed (as most people would be at this point).When I drove home, the light came on AGAIN. I calmly request a call, but since its Friday, I didnt get one til Sunday. This is when the owner tells me we dont want you back here if youre going to act that waySo these dudes screwed me pretty terribly and I wouldnt recommend them. I moved out of state, If I hadnt, I would have sued them, but why already caused me enough trouble and it really just infuriates me to think about.Everytime I left they said its a great car, we really like itBut what they meant was, we really like taking your money. Hopefully this story will prevent someone else from making the same mistake I did and trusting these crooks.

Great integrity great job on my car

Jason and his team built and replaced a motor in my much loved 67 single cab.Was a pleasure to work with him and wow does he know his VWs!2 weeks out on build and my bus hasnt ran this well in years. Engine hasnt got theslightest bit hot even though my girl is a daily driver. Went the cheaper route last year andbought a long block from Hilltop in Jacksonville. Had to pull their motor 3x in first 6 months for everything from missing clips on the piston arms to heads that looked like they had been reconditioned 20 times. Save your money and take your air cooled baby to the Bug Ranch the first time! VERY impressed with Jason, the shop and his employees, truly professional in every way.Thanks Jason for your hard work, I will forever be in debt to you!Wish I could talk you into moving shop closer to Daytona but your still worth the drive!

JBR is the only shop for my VW.

They have taken care of all our VWs ! (and occasionally a few of our other vehicles as well) Weather scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs they have always come through.Most recently my daughters car was broke down 3 hours from home going into a weekend, Jason listened to the story, diagnosed the problem over the Phone, and not only got me the parts i needed, but brought me the parts too.

Best VW shop in FL. When I moved to FL almost 20 years ago I was driving a Jetta. VW of America suggested I see Nate and Jason at the VW dealership on OBT (forget the name of what it was called back then). I am currently driving my 5th VW and all of them have been fantastically maintained by Jason and Nate. I am so glad they decided to leave the dealerships and open their own shop. If you own a VW, youd be crazy not to take here. The workmanship, integrity, knowledge, friendliness, and prices are outstanding.
