The H&R Block office that I used last year was at the coast, so I did everything online and by mail. I wanted to use a local office this year so I visited the Hanes Mall location due to the positive reviews. My tax professional is Mark Miller, and he was great. I am very happy with his professionalism, and the time he took to explain my taxes to me and what my options were for the tax year. He is also very friendly and personable. I will definitely be visiting Mark every year for my taxes. In fact, Im already scheduled for an appointment in 2022!

I really love my Tax Preparer Carl Shutt !! he doesnt have the Greatest Phone customer service, but when he gets you in his office my goodness a whole another side comes out he explains taxes in a way that makes you feel comfortable and understood! he really takes his time, explains everything and is just so informative! he is the reason I return every time!!! Place is busy!... sometimes no one is at the front desk its so crazy. Tax experience was fine. I dropped stuff off so I didnt have to wait and finished up in two appointments. They made me nervous as they seem very unorganized. I wrote down my phone conversation and was told my appointment was at 2. They called me at 1:30 to ask if I was coming as they put me down for 1:30. So the first meeting felt rushed and I felt a little talked down to. Next year Ill probably go someplace else.

Excellent tax adviser Mark. Have been going there for years and I feel so good after I come out. Last minute like always and the Peace of Mind is why I have been going there. Under one hour and I was done with great advise . I am one of those people who does not want to use an automatic software since I always have a ton of question since my business changes permanently and I need to understand what I need to pay attention to. Mark is a senior Master Adviser and besides his great knowledge he so very patient. Also the other staff members asked him for advise while I was sitting there and that speaks for itself. Cost is fair, considering that all the other online services charge you an arm and a leg as I hear with hidden costs and pushing you to upgrade to a more expensive service.I will see you next year and thank you again.

I have always been treated very nicely and professionally by the agents and enjoyed thoroughly the time it took to do my taxes. It did not feel like a chore I had to do. I was not at all bored and they were very knowledgeable of their job - or if it was not something they were aware of - they were willing to check it out and get back to us on.

Very much disappointed, they give appointment to call but you never receive call. Just make you wait. Very unprofessional. I don’t recommend at all

Giving 3 because the outcome of the service was what I needed. But the entire process was painful and she was quite rude and at points mean.I needed to refile my 2018 taxes, and she didnt understand what I meant. That took about 30 mins to explain. Afterwards, when she finally understood, she goes, if I did what you did I wouldve killed myself.She filed my taxes wrong 2x. Which was about $200 difference.When looking over my w2s, she goes you need a different job.I didnt come to be insulted. I just wanted help.And what should have been a quick 30-40mins took about 2 hours

No numbers or anything.Emerald card representatives keep hanging up on us and saying they contact the bank through snail mail.H & R is pulling scam. Pull you in with hopes of getting $3000 back. Charge you $300+ to file your taxes, then give you the lowest advance of $500 with no way to find out an explanation or a way to contact the funding company.Even if your return is over $6000 like ours.Dont waste your time or money.File yourself FREE AND EASY online without getting scammed out of money

Ill never use them again. For starters did not tell me how much it was going to be. Well their posters everywhere say Hey we will tell you. Then they apparently took the money they charged me off my account, figured theyd gave it back. WRONG they took it back off my account a month later. From my experience never use a card nor never allow them to start.

Knowable and helpful

Terrible experience. First off it there was a way to rate this place a negative 0 I would. We had a tax preparer who quite frankly did not even speak proper English and it was hard to understand what he was saying. We asked if he would repeat the information for the advance multiple times. Never once did he say that the advance upon credit approval. Our credit is not terrible but not perfect. We got a text message saying it was denied and immediately called hr and spoke with him. Once again we were told everything was fine and not to worry we would have it within 24 hours. Lies, lies, lies. The next day when we still hadnt received anything so I called metbank. We were denied and they will send a letter in 10 days to explain. We only filed with hr for the advance otherwise we were ee going to go to a different place. I will never ever use this service again. I hadnt used them in over 8 years and now I remember why. Dont file with them even if you arent getting the advance because the customer service sucks!!
