I called to cancel my service with this company and was told that the office personnel cannot cancel and the service manager must do this and will call me back. I have no idea why they think this is a good practice. We have been a good paying account for the last year and simply want to cancel. Now I am waiting on a call back. This is not the way a company should handle cancellation with their customers.

They missed areas of termite damage on their initial inspection (hollowed out support beam I myself noticed first week in the home) and didnt show up throughout the year to check the on Centricon they installed until one month before it was time to annually renew.

I called for a quote. They were very quick to make the appointment. My gentleman was on time and did a thorough inspection of my house. He provided recommendations and helped me decide what was most important. I am happy I went with them. Haven’t seen a spider since. Also very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend them.

Been using them for years, still show up unannounced! Asked many times to set up a time, due to my work shift changes. Constant billing issues. They flooded my crawl space today and said we know a good guy for a reasonable price for repairs. When I can find someone to transfer termite bond to reasonable Im done.

There was an error in the appointment scheduling for my client, but their manager reached back out to me within an hours time and took care of the inspection at no charge the very next morning. The technician, Harrison, was extremely professional and apologetic about the prior hiccup on their scheduling, and was thorough. Thanks for making things right!

Technicians have shown up multiple times without making appointments only to have someone call immediately after the technician leaves. Then, I get a call 2 days later to set up our next service. To add insult to injury, I then receive an invoice for services that were never performed. Ive also scheduled appointments and not have anyone show up. After being a loyal customer for several years, Im done waiting my time and money. The technicians have always been nice and friendly but the scheduling with Stark is lower than poor.

Cory Holder is the best bug man around! We transferred our service to our new home and Cory was quick to inspect and apply their services. Even with an impossibly tight crawl space he worked hard to ensure we got the right services for an old house we are remodeling. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

I want to be fair in this review. I’m not here to just bash them, but I want to share my whole experience. We’ve been working with Stark for over a year, we had normal pest control and a termite contract. Everyone at Stark is very friendly and kind. Everyone who has come out has been nice and seemed to care about the issue.Our main problem is ants. We’ve had ants in our home since we moved in in August of 2017. Even with treatments, there has been no times that we haven’t had ants. This isn’t just a small issue, it’s an everyday occurance that I’m cleaning up ants. I sweep 2-3 times a day but they always find something (even down to toothpaste on our toothbrushes) to make a trail to. Stark has been out several times for it. This is not a normal issue with ants, they are relentless and there is never a day that I don’t clean up some type of trail the ants have. They’ve been on our toothbrushes, on toothpaste left in the sink, in our washing machine on my baby’s clothes that have food stains on them, in the kids bathtub on soap residue, etc. They are literally after anything and I can’t keep my house 100% spotless all the time realistically with 3 children- and I don’t feel this number of ants is normal at all.My main issues lie in miscommunication and not being able to get rid of the ants. Our quarterly treatments weren’t handling the problem, so I emailed about the ants discussing how terrible of a problem we had with ants and needed someone else to come out to have a look. The lady who received my email said that she would forward to the manager and they would contact me to discuss. A week later, no response! So I follow up again, and then a scheduling person called me back. She scheduled someone else besides our normal technician to come out. He came and took a different approach and said “I don’t think you’re going to have any issues with ants anymore”. The way he seemed so confident about it, I believed him. Well, the ants never went away and never decreased in number at all. I also paid for this treatment as our quarterly treatment, but I don’t think the quarterly service was even done. It was just treatment for the ants.I reached out again a couple weeks later and they sent someone else out. He came and worked on it and tried something different. He said it would take time to work, and that the ants should be gone by Monday. He said he would have someone call me Monday to make sure all was good and if not he would come back. Monday came and went, we still had ants, and no one called.Then my phone rang that Tuesday, and it was someone wanting to schedule my quarterly treatment. I let her know we had an ongoing issue that they were supposed to follow up on before I pay for anymore treatments that obviously aren’t working. She scheduled our regular technician to come out for a few days later to try again. His appointment was for 10:30. So I was home at 10:30 until 11:30. I hadn’t heard from him at all, and I had to go pick my children up at preschool, so I had to leave. Then I get a call around 12:00 asking me where I was!? The appointment was for 10:30, I can’t just sit around for hours waiting when you may or may not come.So at this point, I’m very exhausted with the ants. Everyday I have to leave extra time in my day to clean up the ants and extra time to sweep multiple times a day to make sure we don’t have any that will bite my children while they are playing on the floor. I sent an email asking to cancel my service and explaining how tired I was of all the miscommunication and back and forth. The lady said she was forwarding to her managers again, and yet, I’ve still heard nothing from them after over a week of waiting.I believe we have a bigger ant issue than they want to tackle or that they don’t realize just how bad it is. I also know that I am little far out from their office and maybe they do not care if they keep my business. I’m just sad that this is how it had to end and that I’ve wasted so much time and money to still not get rid of the ants in my house.

Kossi Tiko is dedicated to his job and very professional. He always takes the time to listen to our concerns as a home owner and sees to it that our extermination services are handled with care. Today I pointed out our concerns with a wasp nest that keeps rebuilding and they are going to spray the area and remove the nest. I highly recommend Stark and Tiko as your service technician.

Office staff are incompetent and rude, which is why I cancelled my service. I continue to be billed for service I never received and that is well past the time I cancelled and went with another company. After multiple calls to them about this, and promises it was resolved, I received another bill today. I called again and spoke to the office manager who explained the account was closed and it was a mistake on their part not to correct the billing. When I told her whatever the reason, I did not want to receive another bill she raised her voice dramatically and talked very demeaning to me about what she was trying to say.....totally unacceptable, unprofessional and rude! I would never recommend this company.

From your Winston-Salem, NC location:HORRIBLE SERVICE! They never showed up to scheduled appointment that was scheduled a week in advance. When I called to ask about the report I was told the appointment was moved to the following week. Um, what? You didnt even call me to let me know...and then you have the audacity to tell me to call another company to do the inspection....now my buyer could potentially lose the purchase of her first home because of your mistake!WOW! Lets just say I am a real estate professional and work with many many buyers. NO MORE BUSINESS WILL BE SENT YOUR WAY!

The office is a complete disaster. Total confusion. Double booked appointments then no shows due to office mistakes. Techs are good they just constantly have their schedules messed up by disorganized office. Most calls made to office are complaints & they rarely get called back until the customer calls repeatedly. Recommend another pest control. This office is a mess!
