Amazing professional atmosphere. Always worth the money, never had a bad haircut here. One of the few full service barber shops in the area. Cant recommend Javier enough.

I just moved to Winston-Salem and was looking for a new barber. Glad I found Washington Park Barber Shop. Everyone was super friendly and definitely know how to cut and trim a beard. If you are a walk-in, simply write your name on the board, take a seat and someone will take care of you. If not, simply book your appointment with Kenny, the bald dolphins fan lol. Could not have had a better experience!

I needed a quick cut for date night. These guys got me in and out promptly. Im very please with the service I received. All the barbers were professional and friendly.

This is THE Barber Shop in Winston. I’m a White man and member of the LGBTQ community. I get great fades here, it’s not as meticulous as traditionally black barbers, but it’s pretty close. The mood, atmosphere, staff, location, vibe, and standards are all wonderful. They schedule in advance and stick to the plan. They take walk ins as well, offer beer, and work very hard to make sure you feel included and welcomed. My go-tos are Alex, Austin, Baxter, and Tim, but all of the fellas are talented!!

This is the second time my boyfriends gotten his haircut here and both times have been great experiences. Hes made appointments with Alex both times and ended up with great results. Definitely reccomend it!

WPBS has been my barber shop of choice for going on almost 3.5 years which is longer than any relationship Ive ever been. Every barber here is excellent at what they do. My personal pick is Travis. Hes a walkin barber thats been there for about a year. Its just great knowing that when I walk in the shop Im not worrying about wheter or not i booked my appointment which is greatfor me. You just go in, grab a beer, and then you talk about how you would run their Fantasy Football League. Real good times, real good dudes and some realllly good fades. Thats what Washington Park is.

Before I lived in the triad area, I would commute down here just to get my haircut at The Park. With them, it’s so much more than a haircut... everyone there is welcoming and treat you as part of the fam every time.

They did not cut my friends hair the way he wanted it and sort of just did whatever they wanted and spent a lot of time talking amongst each other and not the customers.

Austin Inman is very detailed with his cuts. I highly recommend Austin. I have gotten haircuts by several other barbers and they are all very detailed with their haircuts. Tim Parker and the rest of the crew at Washington Park Barber Shop are some of the friendliest, most welcoming and talented barbers Ive ever encountered. Because they accommodate walk-ins and appointments, Ive never waited over 15 minutes, even when walking in during on a busy weekend. Cant say enough good things about the atmosphere, value and service!

Hands down the best barber shop around. Set an appointment or just walk in, whatever you need…they have it all. I’m a regular with Austin and always get fixed up right. However, if he is ever unavailable, I’d gladly sit in any of the other guys chairs and know I’ll get a great cut. Always good music and a good time. All around just a great bunch of guys with a down home shop!

I carried someone else there, too busy, takes too long to get a haircut. There was a long wait. And I think the prices are too high.. but I havent been to a barber shop since the early eighties. They do a good job I have to admit that and with all the business they got they got to be good if not they wouldnt have the type of business they got. So Im not saying anything bad about them because theirs nothing bad I can say.. and I also noticed that theyre very good with kids..

Never saw the appeal for goin to a place that charged more than $7 for a haircut, but then i started going here and I love it! Everyone is awesome and they are helpful when i dont even know what i want to do with my hair. Music is always awesome too!

Can’t beat the price or the cuts! Stop going to Great Clips and over paying for sub par hair cuts. I’ve been getting my cuts here for about 8 months now, I’ve never walked out disappointed. I’ve started bringing my two toddler sons here as well after being let down with Great Clips over and over and feeling like I spent too much money to be let down. THE KIDS LOVE THIS PLACE and the staff work well with children as well. You will not be let down.

Hands down, the best barber shop in WS. I was born and raised here, so I’ve had hair cuts in many different places. These guys are excellent, friendly, fast, and really cool.My teenagers went here first, so I wanted to see what their cuts looked like. Being their age, they are very conscientious about how their hair looks. They plan to keep going back to Washington Park, and so will I.

Chillest place in Winston to get a haircut! Make a reservation if you can, if not the guys handling walk-ins do a fantastic job as well. The price is totally fair and the shop is ultra laid back - you really cant go wrong here.

Cool environment. This was my sons first barber trip at 14, he was pretty nervous as he had always had scissor cuts, but Javier was great, and knew how to work with ethnic hair. Wish they let all barbers take appts though, we waited about 2 hrs, but it was worth it.

Great group of people. All very friendly. They are Keen on service and making sure you are happy with you cut. Recommend if you can, get an appointment. If not, they do have a few people that only do walk-ins. You might have to wait a bit. This is a small business so can is preferred but the do accept credit card.

Ive been looking around for a new barber and Ive found the place. Finally got by to get a cut and Daniel, a Master Barber, is a professional. Great cut, I cant rave enough about. He knows what hes doing.Not to diminish the barber at all, but to boost him, the barber shop is what your looking for if youd like to stay out of salons and franchises. This shop only enhances the qualities of the barbers. Theyre also well supplied with great mens products (hair and beard). Well done to the owner. BZA friendly shop you can suggest to others. I had my first experience with WPBS on Good Friday. Everyone was great and like most things in life, the good things are worth the wait!! I was a walk-in but the way Chris Williams cut my hair and talked with me, I felt like I had made an appointment with him. I am trying to grow my hair and beard out long. Chris gave me plenty of tips and sold me some excellent products by Uppercut that not only work great but they smell great as well!! The person ahead of me in the chair paid it forward and bought mine. I will have to do so the next time. Thanks so much Chris!! Seriously cant wait until the next time.

Let me start off by saying this, Im pretty much bald. Be that as it may, I find myself in need of a beard trim, and a head shave from time to time. My barber of choice is Alex. A younger gentleman with an eye for style. Just got out of barber school about 4-5 months ago and has really hit the ground running. Actually, I cant say enough good things about all of the barbers there.I went recently on a saturday to get my beard trimmed up because I had a job interview that coming Monday. I explained my situation to Alex, that I needed to look good, (well, as good as I CAN look). Without a moments hesitation he went to work. I spoke with Alex and Tim, (the owner), as well as other customers either being serviced, or waiting. Took about 20 minutes, we discussed taking off some more here or there. Once I was happy, (which I always am), I paid, shook hands and went about my day.The whole atmosphere is very chummy. I dont say that to be negative, in fact, its the exact opposite. From the first time I walked in there I always felt like regardless of what I needed, I was treated like a friend. They always have a story, or are willing to talk about anything.Another fact about Alex, I have a nephew that lives about 45 minutes away. Alex is the ONLY barber that he wants to see. I bring him up there when hes ready to get his hair cut, and he sits like a champ. Alex doesnt just cut his hair, he engages my nephew, gets on his level, and discusses things that my nephew actually is interested in. I cant tell you how much that means to my nephew. It also is a sigh of relief for my nephews mother who has been searching for a barber that my nephew could tolerate.All in all, Ive never found a more friendly, professional, or welcoming barbershop. Even if I am bald.By the way, I aced the interview and got the job. Id like to think that my snazzy looking facial hair had something to do with it.

Excellent barbershop, somewhat of a hidden gem. All three guys are professional, personable, and offer prompt service. Ive been several times now and will most likely continue in the future. Seems like everyone that comes in is a long-time customer. Prices extremely reasonable. If you dont care about the fringe junk thats offered in modern barbershops (beers, big screen TVs, etc), this is the place. Youll get a great cut at an awesome price from an old school barber who knows what to do.

These guys know how to make the environment of the most boring thing in your life fun. Yes its a haircut, perhaps a beer, but really just personable people doing a great service. When you can trust someone to do the right thing with your coif, you keep going back. Made the mistake of convince, by going to another place, but its bad when they are standing around. Yes you can wait and do a walk in, expect to wait a bit though because they are usually full.

Just had my first haircut here. Atmosphere is spot on. Friendly, and efficient. I was a walk in so I had a pretty inexperienced barber. One of the regulars gave him some pointers and he did an excellent job. This is now my regular spot for a haircut in Winston.

Just tried this place after going to a chain for a long time. Definitely a noticeable difference, with skilled barbers. And they know how to use a straight razor for a proper shave. It also doesnt hurt that they have beer on tap.

I lived in Winston for 9 months in 2018 and came in every other Friday to have Austin cut my hair. Now, I live in Tennessee, and I come in every other Saturday for a hair cut and beard trim.That’s three and a half hours, one way, for a haircut, every other week. Need I elaborate further?

The barbers are all good at what they do and provide a great atmosphere. The extended hours make it easy to get your haircut after work and the shop works hard to help every walk in. Alex, Josh and Chris all do a great job.

Never going here again.Go in as walk in and they tell you that you can go next door and have a beer and theyll come get you when your name comes up. Went next door and they never came over. Go back in and my name is crossed out and 5 others behind mine. Sit down and they still call somebody else. Say something to the guy that told me to go next door and he acts like he could care less.
