As a new customer, I have found the management to be professional and responsive. Have used commercial waste services at over 30 different sites over the years. I appreciate excellent response during my transitioning the service over to Republic. I am looking forward to working with them in the future.
I have been a customer of Republic Service for at least 10 years. The last 2 years the republic service is terrible. Recently, they did not pick up my yard waste 4 consecutive weeks. Of course, I reported to the customer service and every time they provided me different reasons. Sometimes I can see the trash truck passing through my yard waste and did not stop to pick it up. I do not recommend this service to anyone. Just pay more to different companies and relieve your headache.
The company only takes what can fit in the trash can. They make you buy another trash can even if you don’t consistently need it or pay for an extra pickup. This is the first waste removal company that I’ve encounter with this policy. All others in the area aren’t lazy but unfortunately they are contracted by my HOA.
Missed pickups, cant give a time when pickups will happen, and no local phone number to get any assistance have to wait on hold with everyone else in the country... they get 2 stars because they actually service my brand new neighborhood and trash pick up has been timely... recycling and customer service is a nightmare thus far...
I just looked out to see that my overflowing trash can had apparently tumbled bags across my yard. Then I saw the man collecting the trash this morning walk around my yard, pick up all the bags, and toss them in the truck for me. What a considerate professional! I’m so thankful for such service. :)
This service is awful it’s impossible to find a number direct to the local office. I finally decided to cancel and go with another company and they’re telling me they auto renewed me in a new 3 yr contract with a $250 termination fee and they also want over $100 to come pick up their trash cans. I’m completely over this company they will not get any of that money and there trash cans will be full at the local office tomorrow

Someone from this company needs to call me back asap.ive been waiting for a call back for almost a week now. My bill is 95 bucks when it should be 25.i paid a 50dollar deposit of 75 bucks they asked for. The lady that took my money told me that 50bucks was going toward my first bill, which wouldve made my bill 25 bucks. And she said I would be billed that 25 bucks in 3wks and its been 2wks. Does anyone know whats going on with this company????
I’d give this company zero stars if I could. They miss pickups every single week and only pickup if you call and complain or report a missed pickup. Customer service sucks and they do not forward your information to supervisors when requested. I’ve complained 12 times and only received one call back only to have the guy disappear once I returned the call. I’m currently trying to find if anyone else services my home in the county because this place truly sucks.
The only pick-up they have for my area is some kind of thing where I put stickers on my bags and put those out, no cans... I guess some people are OK with that, but Ill go with another company. On a positive note, the lady that took my call was very helpful and polite :)
Misses pickups almost every week and only picks it up if you complain. Reporting a missed pickup and requesting them to come back online is a pain and often results in an email saying they need more information before they can fulfill your request.
Customer service folks on the phone were very friendly and helpful. I signed up for service, was told they would deliver bins to me in a day or two. Two weeks go by, no bins. I call to inquire, am placed on hold for 15 minutes (although they did come back on the line regularly to apologize for the wait), and finally I was told that they had attempted to deliver the bins but could not find a place to turn around so they marked my address as not available for service.I was disappointed that it took 2 weeks plus me making a call to the company to find this out, and thats mainly my reason for knocking a star off. I had been piling up trash in my garage thinking the service was set to start any day now.That said, I did receive a follow-up call from the local manager; he actually offered to go and do a personal drive by of my location as a 2nd opinion. He did so and called back to explain in much more detail their reasons for not being able to service my locations; in short, there are a lot of internal company policies around driver safety and not using customer driveways to turn around. I can respect and understand that, although I still argue that I could turn the truck around in the street. :-)So based on their customer service, I would recommend giving Republic a shot. I cant say how reliable the actual service is, but they do seem to value the customer, and Id welcome to chance to give them business if theyd take it.
I thought I was the only one getting missed pickups until I read other reviews. They charged me to come drop my trash bin off and sure didn’t miss that but have missed the first 3 weeks. I called in the first week and they said they’d pick it up Friday instead of Wednesday. Friday afternoon they still weren’t there so I called again and they finally came and got it. Last week they missed and I didn’t even bother calling and this week, I just got home late at night and there’s my trash still by the road. Awful company I’m calling to cancel service in the morning. If you’re reading this do not waste your time or money.
Horrible customer service. Unable to cancel service for my business. They ignore calls into their call center as though if they ignore the call the service wont be canceled.
I would give this company zero stars of it were possible. Yesterday a huge rock flew out of one of their trucks due to them not legally or properly securing their load. It smashed my windshield. I was on Interstate 81 at the time. This could have been a terrible accident. The driver fled the scene and now State Police is dealing with this. The insurance company is shadily trying to get out of paying for the windshield replacement. Ken Ross the manager not only didnt even ask if I was ok but also has refused to fix the window saying to call the insurance. Do yourself a favor and get another company thay actually cares enough about the well being of local residents on the road. If they do this I cant imagine they are reputable in business.
