Did this company go out of business? Me and all my neighbors on the east side of Winchester, havent had there trash taken out this week. I tried calling several times and nobody picks up. No voicemail option.Update: 9/9/20 - We are going on three weeks now with no trash removal, and no communication.
Service stopped last week at our rented townhouses. Word is the owner passed away and the company suddenly stopped servicing customers. They never were known for their service or reliability and now were all scrambling for trash service .
The driver and collector are very nice, having multiple times swung back around to collect our can that we couldnt get out to the curb fast enough. They know I forget and honked for us once as a reminder! They always wave and collect reliably within a half hour time frame each week. Holiday weeks collect a day late for us, which is no big deal and is usually very helpful. This trash collection service rivals the city collection we had before we moved here. Weve been with Evergreen for over a year and are very happy with the company! Thanks for doing such a great job for us and our neighborhood!
Evergreen cancelled my trash service today.Ive had a number of issues over the few years weve been with them. On a number of occasions Ive had them call me saying that I havent paid my bill, which is not true, upon checking my account then discovered that I had.This past two weeks topped it off. I put my trash out as normal for the Thursday pick up which wasnt collected. I called Friday only to hear a recorded message saying that the truck was broken down and that Clarke County Residents would be contacted when a make up day was organized. No call was received on my end, but come to find out that they came on Saturday when we werent home, with my trash back behind a fence because we have a bear who likes to come and have a midnight snack! I called 3 more times on Monday and left messages, no one returned my call.But atlas! I got a call today when I dumped it all out on the ground, because they dont like to get the last bag in the bin, saying that there was a mess there and that they were cancelling my account. Oh, and that I hadnt paid since October last year.Bad account keeping skills + bad communication skills.
DO NOT use this company! Even if someone else charges a little more, just spend the extra money. My trashcan has been falsely removed from my property on 2 different occasions. As a small business owner myself, I am appalled by the lack of customer service by Evergreen Waste LLC. It really seems as if my account doesnt matter because they know I will move soon. Is that the kind of company you want providing your service?The first time my trashcan was removed from the property they claimed that I had not paid the bill, which I had and an image of the cashed check proved that. It took a week and a half to get my trashcan back, after several calls.More recently, I called to inform them that I would be moving in a couple of months. I paid the pro-rated amount for the time which I would have service. They came and picked up my trashcan before the previous billing period ended (which was already paid for 3 months prior). I am now on week 3 without a trashcan and have several bags of trash in my garage with no way to get rid of it. I have made call after call. They keep telling me that it will be delivered, but it has not. I have left several voice mails with no return call.Even if I was not moving, I would pay another company more money to have reliable customer service. Reviews tend to be emotionally driven, however, this is not an emotional reaction. The service is truly horrible.
WOW! Today is Tuesday. They didnt pick up my trash last Thursday or return any messages I left Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Monday. I finally heard back from them today after I called in again (quite irate) after my trash cans got raided by local wildlife last night.And... Was told, Oh, we no longer provide service in your area. Sorry we got your number wrong, thought you had been notified. Also was told that I was the only customer left in my area. I guess because of service like this review.But... They had no problem sending me an invoice just a couple weeks ago, nor cashing the check I sent in to pay the invoice. Response - Oh, well have to reimburse you for thatIf you live in any kind of remote area, I would recommend that you look at different providers. They are inconsistent, at best.
If I could give less than one star I would. This company has the worst work ethic I have ever seen. Firstly, they have a limit of 2 bags of lawn waste. Now if you live in a townhome, I suppose this wouldnt be a problem, but if you live in a general suburban home, you will exceed their limit. To which they will just leave the extra on the curb. Secondly, they are horrible about picking up the recycling. They would leave half of it, or as my husband witnessed, throw the recycle in with the garbage. Also, do not leave anything outside of your waste can. If you leave a broken down cardboard box or frankly anything, they wont pick it up. We did not even make it through one quarter with this company, we were so disappointed. When I called to cancel, and explained my reasons, the woman called my husband and me, LIARS and refused to refund the last month of our quarter we had not even touched. I asked to speak with the owner of the company, Mr. Franklin. I was told he would call us back. After 3 messages left for Mr. Franklin, he has yet to call us back. Oh, and I was also informed that I would be lucky to find something at a better price (which I did, easily), and if I wanted to come back it would be $10 more a quarter. Rather than face the issues with the driver, the representative for their company responded with insulting the integrity of the customer and threatening them with higher rates. Unbelievable in this day and time.
They regularly skip picking up our trash - sometimes it sits by the road for a week. We dont always put trash out every week so maybe that has something to do with it.Also they never answer the phone, and usually take 2 days to respond to voice-mails.
Constantly leaves trash behind. Unable to properly do their job.
Confronted them about throwing all recycling in with the trash. They denied, even though we regularly watched them do it. Would not recommend.
We had encountered an occasional problem where their computer program was on the fritz. We kept getting billing notices stating that we were late on payment and that our service was about to stop. After a phone call or two the issue was taken care of.The county doesnt seem to have the best recycling but i cant blame that on this company.At the time we signed up this company was the cheapest. What else can i say?***UPDATE*** ive increased my rating of this company one star, the day after 8 of snow on crappy neighborhood roads my trash and recycling were picked up right on time. Trucks had chains on, and i appreciate the poor guys out in this weather working hard & doing their jobs.
