Daryl did not arrive on time to his appointment at his house, and called me *after* the arrival window closed to reschedule to two days later. I thought, “hey, we’re all having a rough time these days, I’ll cut him some slack.” Daryl arrived on time to the rescheduled appointment and very professionally diagnosed the problem, which required a part order. I texted him almost immediately after his departure to inquire about a possible timeline. No response. I texted again, no response. I called the office and the admin said she would check with Daryl. No call back from either person. I have called at least five times, one of which prompted an automatic message “if you want a call back text this number” from... Daryl’s number. We have now been without a functioning oven for three weeks and I have to start this process all over again.

Very strange message when calling to inquire about an appointment. Tried several times and same message. Not a great impression!

I called to ask about a part and we talked about the issue. Daryl was very knowledgeable and was able to stop by my house and fix the issue on the same day. Great customer service. He is a very pleasant person to speak with and I will definitely use him again and recommend him in the future.

We received same day service although we were advised that it may be as much as 3 days before a technician could get to our home. Daryl was very courteous, respectful, knowledgeable. He explained what he was finding as he worked on our refrigerator. He provided very clear expectations and was very fair with his fee for services. I would highly recommend Hoyt appliance service.

Everyone I talked to from Hoyt Appliance repair was very friendly and super helpful! I called them at 7pm because my fridge stopped working and Darrell made time to come to my house after they technically already closed at 10pm to take a look at my fridge so all my food didnt go bad overnight. He seemed knowledgable about everything and got my fridge fixed in under an hour and the price was very reasonable!

Called several times and get sent to a answering service which sends you a text message to call another number Sent a return text and have never even gotten a response.

Horrible communication. Supposed to call us back had to call him multiply times and he never communicated back with us. Left us waiting all day hanging with promising to call us back in 30 mins. Waited all day now we have to wait till tomorrow for someone else to come fix our fridge. Horrible business skills. Wouldnt waste my time with this guy

I will differently use this company in the future and plan to have them out to replace a sensor in my gas strove. I had them come to my home in Hagerstown to fix a GE dryer thats about 13 years old, Darryl the owner came with the parts and had our dryer working quickly and the price was very good. They service the Frederick, Hagerstown, Winchester and points in between. Very professional, competitive prices and hours to meet your needs.

Probably six to eight years ago I called the company for repair work on my washing machine. Daryl was very responsive to the call and came out and fix the problem immediately. Based on this good experience I called them recently to look at my dryer. I spoke with Jennifer who told me Darryl would call me back that day or the following day. When I did not hear anything I called back and she could not find my information and alluded to the fact that he was just too busy. Unfortunately we are now on the 4th day without a major appliance and I spent most of the time waiting for Darrells phone call. Thus Im giving a 3 star rating based on one good experience and one bad experience

NOT located in Winchester VA. They are Located in Hancock MD. When I asked where that was, the reply was hesitant Past Berkley Springs WV.They told me they Have to show a physical Winchester VA address though, in order to advertise there.Again, they are NOT located at 200 Cameron St Winchester.Plus, they charge $145 fee + parts. Even Sears is only $99 fee + parts.I cancelled the appt, so I cant comment on their work.

Simply called and the lady who answered the phone was super rude, unapproachable and unhelpful. I ended up hanging up the phone due to her rudeness.

It is Sunday Morning 9:15 ..... I just called Hoyts Appliance Repair, YES THEY ARE OPEN ON SUNDAY!My freezer was leaking water, I wasnt sure if I had accidentally left it partially open or if it was something else.The kind, knowledgeable gentleman talked me through the symptoms and suggested that I monitor it for awhile with a thermometer.He let me know what I would be looking for temp wise. Any other company that I have used would NOT have advised me without charging me for a service call.... not to mention a weekend or after hours charge for weekend call. I will never ca ll anyone else. Thank You Mr. Hoyt!

Daryl (owner and repairman) is not only the fairest and most professional and knowledgeable tradesperson I have ever met, he is a wonderful person. His dedication to his craft and his clients is unmatched. If I could recommend one person or business over all others I have ever reviewed, it would be Hoyt Appliance Repair and Daryl. (And no I am not a relative nor am I being paid to write this, I just feel incredibly confident recommending him to anyone).
