Deck and Patio Tuneup was not the first contractor we met with, nor were they the least expensive. However what they were was the first company to offer to do everything we wanted in our complex design for a poolside deck. Whereas other contractors stated “we don’t do that” Mark embraced our design and then enhanced it with his own input. We are exceptionally pleased with the outcome and highly recommend Deck and Patio Tuneup.

What a wonderful experience working with the Deck and Patio TuneUp crew. I worked with Mark, who stayed in touch with me all through the building process. The crew was A-1, very talented carpenters. Always showed up on time and did an excellent job. We had two staircases rebuilt, a landing and a deck added. The crew worked above and beyond to make sure our back stairs were within the easement of our property. If you are thinking about using them, you cant go wrong.

Being a skeptic by nature, I was somewhat dubious going into our business arrangement...and I am quite pleased my skepticism was proved wrong. DPTU were great to work with, Jeff met with us and looked at our layout and gave us prices with options for all wood and a synthetic deck material. We opted for the synthetic for looks and durability. Paul, harry, Deano, and Curtis worked hard through some very hot weather, but there was no detail they missed. We had a pergola built on the front of our house several years ago by DPT. In fact, it is shown on their website. We were very particular about getting a high quality job. Jeff Hamilton did not disappoint. Every board, post, cap, and screw was perfect. He built our pergola exactly like I would have if I had the ability. We sold that house and what sold it was the pergola. We were so impressed with our previous work that we are currently getting estimates on two different projects for our new house. Kim, Jeff, and Mark did a phenomenal job both in the building and coordinating of my project. I recently began building a house and hired them to do the back stairs and landing for my house. I am currently overseas so everything has to be done by phone or email. They gave me constant updates through out the planning and building all the way up to completion. The final product was both functional and aesthetically pleasing with high quality workmanship and an outstanding price.

The crew was awesome and always on the job as much as possible. I never felt like my job was less important than all the other work they had elsewhere. They came out and took care of as much as possible before hurricane Florence hit here in Wilmington. Their work spoke for itself. The deck was not enclosed but we didnt lose one shingle from the deck roof and it worked out perfect to put our portable generator on.I would definitely use them again and would recommend to family and friends.

This company was amazing! We had a deck and dock installed. The crew always showed up when they said they would. They worked so efficiently and well together. My husband and I wanted a dock for the lake behind our house. My husband, Steve, and Jeff came up with a design for a floating dock so when the water rose, the dock wouldnt be under water like most of our neighbors docks were. We contracted Jeff and his crew to build a TimberTech Deck with lights as an extension to an existing pool deck. We also had Jeff design and build the interior of our screened in porch. I contracted Deck and Patio TuneUp to build my large composite deck. Based on other customer reviews and after meeting with Jeff, I chose to wait the six weeks necessary to get on their schedule. Im glad I waited. Jeff and his crew do excellent work and only want their customers to be totally satisfied with the final results. Jeff rejects any materials which dont meet his high standards. I am a retired engineer and was pleased with all the technical details of their construction. I highly recommend their services.

I just had them replace the top of my deck along with top railing surfaces and gate. Excellent experience. Great guys doing top quality work using quality materials and all for a great price. We had originally gotten a bid from a different company that was both higher, included the use of inferior materials and the boards would have been nailed down and the gate wasnt included. Deck and Patio TuneUps bid included the use of true quality lumber, all board screwed down plus the gate and they still came in under the other bid. Every once in a while you run into folks that run a business by believing in doing quality work for a great price and Im glad Ive found another company like that because they certainly appear to be rare these days.

Jeff and his crew are very professional, and did craftsman like work, they arrived on-time, did a fine job, cleaned the work area and the new porch railing looks superb. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were and for the estimated price. This is how it is suppose to be. I highly recommend them.

Spoke with Kim on Thursday right before Memorial Day to get an estimate on a deck. Called a couple days later and she said Jeff would call me. Here it is June and and we havent received a call, text, or voicemail. We ended going with someone else.

Beware if you work for Jeff. Once I quit he started ducking my calls about my last paycheck. So if you like to work without being paid go for it.
