The night dispatch is amazing. That lady is so friendly BUT the day time lady is very rude. I call in my ride at 4 am to be picked up for work a call I make 9 1/2 hours prior to when I need to be picked up. When I call to find out why my taxi is not here the day time lady is very rude and tells me my ride is never a guarantee. Alot of times she cancles my ride without any notice so Im late for work due to needing to find another way to get there. This lady should NOT be able to answer phones she has no ethics

Consistently lie about ETA, leaving patients waiting 90 minutes past closing time. Keep telling us theyre 15 minutes away.

Scheduled a ride 24 hours ahead of time the cab didnt come but called an hour and a half later.

Mr. Scaturro picked me up right after getting off work. He showed up perfectly on time and was a pleasant conversation the entire ride. I got his card and look forward to making it home tomorrow without the hassle of an Uber. Thank you guys.

I had scheduled a ride the day before. The next day I called a very rude employee informed me that nothing is guaranteed and they had no drivers. Why was I not told that the day before i could ha e nade it to work on time and scheduled with more available drivers. Customers should be informed that they cannot do that and the representatives need a refresher course in customer service most definitely. Didnt actually use them because they had no drivers and I will for sure not be recommending them to anyone.

I scheduled an appointment to be picked up at the ILM airport and was stranded for an hour till about 11 PM. My flight was even delayed by 15 minutes and they still were late. When I originally landed the lady told me 15 minutes which was already annoying because again this was supposed to be a scheduled pick up. When I called back she either blatantly ignored my call or placed me on hold until I hung up. Very unprofessional, could of at least called back and told me an actual wait time or correct her original statement. I suggest everyone use Angel city taxi or pyramid taxi in the area.

I first called them at 11AM on Saturday, Dec. 26. After 3 HOURS, there was still no taxi. I called two or three different times and every time was told - it wont be long; The driver could show up right after we hang up, or in 5-10 minutes. Dont believe a word their dispatchers say. Otherwise, you will be late or even completely stranded. I called Angels Taxi Service. They quoted 20 minutes to pick up and arrived in 10. The driver was friendly and helpful. How does this company - Port City Taxi - even stay in business?? Run dont walk to another service or use Uber or Lyft.

Two nights ago I was picked up at New Hanover Regional Medical Center ER to be taken to Physicians Dr, which is almost across the street. The female driver was NOT wearing a mask. It was 10:30 at night, otherwise I would have asked for another driver. She then asked me how to get to Physicians Dr. Really? Every time I leaned forward to hear her better, all I could smell was poo. Yes, you read that correctly. Her personal hygiene left a lot to be desired. On top of that, my seat was very loose. Had we been in an accident, I could have been seriously injured. I will never use them again. Yes, poo!

They was late getting my friend and my friend eventually ended up going to sleep,No driver contact in my phone to let her know she was outside and no driver called to say they be late or wouldn’t come at all

We called and told them we had 8 and they said that would be fine. Car had seating for 6. Car also had no a/c and broken windows. People were overheating in the back. When it came to payment, driver told us we didnt tip enough (it was an awful experience) and asked for more tip money. Terrible experience. Pay a little more and avoid this. Almost completely ruined the night

I’ve tried to be considerate with this company being that there drivers do have TWIC Cards and are allowed to pick up Seaman from the Port, but there not dependable when you need them at all, I’ve waited for an hour on a cab and decided to cancel. I scheduled transportation assistance, awaited almost two hrs, on a Sunday. Received phone call 1 hr 43 mins later from dispatch stating, taxi service will arrive in any minute, when told time frame of arrival was 15 to 20 minutes, in the process of scheduling.Cancelled schedule taxi service. Wouldnt refer this business transportation assisance to anyone.

Was just almost side swiped and run off the road by the driver of one of their cabs, W118, on College Rd. She apologized profusely out her window but never once put her phone down. She needs to concentrate on her driving and not her cell phone before she hurts someone.

I used to call at least once a week for my dad Dr. Appointments. they Where always there on time . Make sure you have smaller bills than a $20. My husband and I had $9 ride and our driver acted as if it was rocket science on where to make change. I wasnt in the mood to play games so we just gave her a $20. Pretty good hustle if you ask me. Thankfully my car is fixed so I dont have to worry about using a service like this again. Maybe you can use that extra money to buy a holder for your phone so you dont have to hold it while youre driving.

I had not one but 3 times I called a hour and a half in advance to go to work and they never showed up within a good time frame and I was constantly late to work. The last time I called they didnt show up at all. And when I called to check, the lady said they were on the one, that someone accepted the pick up, didnt show, then they said that someone had came to the address and never did. I never got a confirmation text saying they were on the way or that they had arrived.

This company needs to be better organized and more proactive about its appointments that it makes with its clients! Two hours in advance, I scheduled a 9 am appointment for a pickup for work. The operator replied that she scheduled the pickup, but when 9am came, no taxi. 9:15, no taxi. 9:20, no taxi. I called and asked what the holdup was, she mentioned that we cannot guarentee the pickup at the appointment. Really?! Thats the reason behind the appointment in the first place! That not only puts my job in jeopardy, but pisses me off!!!!!!!! Not good customer service, not good courtesy, not good anything!!! If I cant depend on taxis to be on time, whats the point on calling one? I know things happen, but your Company putting someone elses job on the line is going too far, and is unacceptable service!!!!! This is not the first time this has happened! Im tired of undependability!!

Its too bad you cant leave a review and give less than 1 star. This place is THE WORST! Yeah, they got us from point A to point B, but Heaven forbid you leave a personal belonging in the car and then expect any sort of assistance from the dispatcher in retrieving it. FindMyiPhone was more helpful than this lady could ever strive to be. GPS took us straight to the company, did she let us check any taxis? Did she try to identify which taxi dropped us at our destination? Did she answer my question regarding if a credit card receipt would be helpful? NO. She argued with EVERYTHING we said and it seemed like she was going out of her way to be unhelpful. Horrible, HORRIBLE experience and I will probably never use a Taxi again... DEFINITELY not Port City. I havent been that frustrated by another human being for being so incompetent in a LONG time. UBER FOR LIFE! PS. we got that darn phone back despite her best efforts!

This compny horrible. They left granddaughter that in wheel chair &non verbal outside in outside in dark, & rain,They knew place was closing even after the place had close still did not send a cab for,her. Only way got home lady came by saw her & grad mom I rain &dark offer them ride home. It was 2 hours later after they were home they. Sent cab til there location.

I wouldnt recommend. They are very unreliable, they tell you they are on the way or around the corner and dont show up until 1 hour and 55 minutes later. They provide a service that is often paid for by the county for older adults and have no consideration for the effect it has on the individuals who have to use their service. They are often being picked up for appointments to and from their homes. This is poor communication. They left an individual that was suppose to be picked up by 5:30 due to facility closing until 6:55. This is unacceptable treatment for anyone, they definitely dont have their clients best interest in mind.

I called to get a truck unlocked and the woman screamed at me if there was someone else to call I would have never gave them the business.. the cab driver was great but the management did not even care to listen when I complained.. The taxi dispatcher sent the driver to the wrong address forcing us to miss our flight. The driver also did not contact me until 15 minutes after his supposed arrival to say he was lost. I strongly suggest you avoid this taxi company. Would NOT recommend.

DO NOT CALL THIS TAXI COMPANY. My 75 year old Grandmother has called these people on two diffrtent occasions. The first time she was an hour late for her doctor appointment. This time she called and they told her they didnt know how long it would be. She waited over an hour. Now she is 2 hours late for her appointment. I called and the girl who answered lied and said they never had my Grandmothers name on the list. Not to mention SHE WAS VERY RUDE! I dont see this company lasting much longer.

I use this taxi service 5 out of 7 days of the week. I am always nice and tip well. Today I called to see why my cab was late, after calling OVER a hour ahead of time. The lady was very rude, and unprofessional. And even lied to me. I will never use this service again! This was uncalled for.

I called to get a pick up from this company the dispatcher was very short with me over the phone and hung up before I could even finish talking. He told me that I would have a thirty minute wait which is to be expected. After an hour of waiting I decided to call to see what the problem was the dispatcher tells me Im the next on the list and should only be fifteen minutes longer. Now after forty five minutes of waiting I called back and she tells me sorry again and that Im still next on the list. Any person who reviewed this company and gave them five stars must work for them or just be related because there is no way anyone would ever have a good experience with them. Its now been 2 hours since Ive called the first time and still no #ucking taxi.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I called one morning to get a cab to go to work. I received the text that the cab was on the way. I waited 30 minutes before calling the driver to see where he was . When he answered he told me that he didnt get the call to come and pick me up. He told me he was going to call the office than call me back. When he did call me back he told me he was on his way to get me. After waiting another 15 minutes he called me again to tell me that I have to call the office to get another cab because they gave him another call!!!! When I called the office they kept putting me on hold just for them to tell me that they had NO explanation on why that had happened. If I could rate them zero stars on this I WOULD!!!!!! My advice is DO NOT USE THIS TAXI SERVICE

This is one of the last taxis in Wilmington that charge a surcharge for Monkey Junction and they are just a couple of miles away. Nice driver, bet he is not getting any of the flat fee of $15.

This service is TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE THEM!!! I always call an hour or more and they are ALWAYS late. I just called at 1:30pm to get a cab at 2:30pm, it is now 3:15pm and I have not gotten a cab yet! This has happened each time I call. If you need a cab for work or a doctors appt you can forget about getting there on time! They suck!

Still waiting on my cab, 4 HOURS LATER!!!! Have called quite a few times and every time I call they give a horrible attitude as if I shouldnt even be calling them, trust me I wont be calling them any more . And will not even give me any information on the cab that is supposed to be picking me up. Completely unreliable and horrible customer service . I was 1 hour and a 1/2 late to work thanks to this company. Never using them again .

Dispatch was very rude. Customer service is the absolute worst ! I called for a cab at 11:30 an hour before I had to be to work. At 1 I get a text saying the cab was on its way so my son and I sat outside in the cold WAITING. He never showed so at 1:40 I call the company 2 of the dispatchers were very rude, lied and said the guy already came and Id have to wait for another hour. He called twice, from an out of town number, I answered not knowing who he was. He said nothing and didnt come. Poor service. Use another option if you value your time. I will never use them AGAIN !

Has consistently been on time for early morning runs to the airport. Out of perhaps twenty times, there was once I had to wait and call to enquire as to where the cab was.

My husband and I waited a whole hour and we ended up calling Yellow Cab because yall took entirely too long when all yall had to say was yall are short staff. Im highly disappointed.

Terrible. I was able to get over the hour and a half wait time when I was told it would be 30 minutes, but I was not able to get over our rude and high taxi driver. The guy actually called his friend while driving us and bragged about how baked he was. Additionally, he was incredibly rude and became angered after I tipped him 2 dollars for a 10 dollar cab ride, claiming that it was not a big enough tip. The guy was extremely unprofessional, unpunctual, and probably a drug addict to boot. Will never use this company again.

Horrible. I called 2 hours ahead from downtown . I needed to be home to get my water meter installed on my new house. I missed the water company now will not have water for 3 days because its a holiday weekend this HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

Terrible service. On two different occasions I had to wait an hour. The first time I was told that some how I got skipped. How that happens I do not know. The second time I was told the wait would be 20 minutes and that turned into an hour. Just awful service.
