The Run the Distance Run/Walk is now until September 18 and we visited the RMH to pick up our shirts and bibs!! The ladies there were super sweet and helpful!! The RMH property is so nice!!

Friendly staff. Helpful services for families with children in the hospital long or short term. Rooms kept neat and tidy before intial check in.

This place was amazing. This is because you got the change to cook for the people in the house, witness the children playing and have a swelling heart knowing they are going through hard tomes.in their lives. This place was particularly nice for me because ei got to help the less fortunate people, help take care of the kids living there even for a day and get to experience what its like for the parents to take care of their kids.

This facility is very nice. Its comfortable and very clean and well furnished. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable as well as helpful. My family was welcomed and cared for in the kindest way. It is a 15 minute walk or 2-3 minute drive from the A.I.Dupont Nemours Childrens Hospital. There is a round the clock shuttle service to help anyone needing to go back and forth from the hospital. If youve never stayed at an RMH, there are many other amenities as well: reduced cost laundry, a full kitchen that you may cook your own meals in or there are dinners provided by organizations most every night, there are free breakfast foods available 24-7 and can be accessed easily, there is a playground for young children, and if you are staying for an extended time period there are planned activities available for families to enjoy, free haircuts that are scheduled at certifiedtimes of a month, computers and TV viewing rooms, anythingto make a stay more comfortablefor a family in crisis. Social workers are available on hand to guide and answer any questions. The RMH operates on donation basis for their rooms. They can wave all fees for your stay if you need all the fees waved, but to operate a single room for 1 night the cost basic cost is $75.00. If you are a person in a position to help, I would strongly recommend you contribute to this amazing organization. My family and thousands of other families have utilized these facilities and it has been a blessing for us as we travel a long medical journey with one of our children.Ronald McDonald House accepts all people of any background, culture, race, religion, etc. A person or family will have house rules that must be followed and there will be a formal background check is run prior to admittance.If you want to donate, contact the house directly. If you need to stay, call and ask about the process.Many Blessings to those who need this wonderful facility or any RMH organization.

Such a wonderful organization. I stayed for a week while my daughter was hospitalized next door. I lived out of state. I donate new toys to their treasure closet a few times per year (they let siblings pick out a toy). They have shuttles that take you over to the hospital. If youre ever looking to donate to an organization, this is it!

My son had a procedure scheduled at A.I. DuPont and since we live a good distance away we got a room the night before. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious and the rooms were larger than even the hotel room I stayed at when I went to Disney.The beds were comfortable and there was a lot of activities to do on the grounds. For example you shoot pool, there is a movie theater, a teen loft and a room where little kids can play with a plethera of toys. It helped us to take our minds off of my sons hospital stay. I couldnt recommend this place enough, whether you and your child need to stay one night or one year, rest assured you will feel at home and know that your child is in good hands.

Had an opportunity to volunteer there recently and cannot put into words the amazing service they provide for families. Beautiful and clean house with a wonderful and caring staff. Please keep them in your thoughts when looking for an opportunity to give back.

Amazing place for families that unfortunately have to spend extended time in the hospital. They have it all and accommodate very well. Please just respect and leave it as you find it.

I stayed at the RMDHD many times throughout my childhood whenever I’d be having surgeries at Nemours A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children. I live in Virginia and traveled great distances between there to Wilmington, and vice versa, whenever I had treatments at Nemours. They were always really nice & accommodating to my family and I’s needs. I was about to have spine surgery in October of 2012 when Hurricane Sandy hit the area and my surgery was canceled, resulting in me sheltering-in-place at the RMDHD. They were really caring and allowed us to stay prior to us going home.I thank the RMDHD for all of what they’ve done for my family and I during our stays between 2000 to 2012. I am now 23 years old and no longer need treatment at Nemours. I highly recommend this place to any family staying short-term or long-term.

These people are amazing. They give and give and give. Great location - right beside the hospital. Good Clean rooms. Friendly people. They feed their guests well. Theyve been a huge blessing to our family

So very warm an environment. Although our family is across the bridge in NJ, it was a blessing for my daughter to be able to stay so close with my grandson at AI DUPONT for 2 weeks over the Christmas holiday.Thank you for everything and thank you to the donors.

What an awesome place!!! Very well maintained and managed. Our family had the honor of preparing and serving breakfast to an amazingly strong group of children and their parents. If you ever have the opportunity to get involved and make someone smile.... do it!!!

Volunteered to make dinner. Had a great time, staff was friendly, volunteers took us on a tour seems like a great place. All of the people staying there were very friendly and grateful during a time they have every right to not be.

This organization is incredible. I have volunteered with RMHDE for the past few years and it has been an amazing experience. Volunteering at RMHDE (particularly on a regular basis - 2-4 times a month) has been very fulfilling. I can see how much of a difference RMHDE makes in the lives of families who stay there, whether for a night or for multiple months, and it is great to be a small part of that. I also have such a fun time while volunteering. I have made incredible friends through RMHDE, and interacted with people I never would have had a chance to get to know otherwise. I cannot advocate enough for finding ways to get involved in this incredible organization.

Amazing place. They are very supportive and have a ton of things for kids of all ages to do. Multiple play rooms a movie theater. A kitchen any mother would love. The sleeping arrangements are more than enough with memory foam mattresses. Washer and dryers and the RMH shuttle that runs 24 hrs to take you to and from the hospital, also to run errands on the weekends. On site social worker to help with anything you and your family might need. Weve been here since the end of February and its now May this place is unbelievable. The Ronald McDonald house will always be the first organization I will donate to.

The RMDHE is a very comfortable place for children and their familys. It is affordable for each night. My other two children were welcome to come. They were included in all activities as my ill child. I highly recommend this place. Btw, the adults have as well!
