This restore is the largest in Delaware and always has quite a selection of items. Their inventory turns over quickly, so repeat visits can be bountiful. They have large contractors like PJ Fitzpatrick who donate an endless supply if home improvement goods. I always find something here. Its worth the trip.
Very nice store. Ive gotten a lot of things over the years. Furniture is the main thing but i recently acquired a storm door which was awesome ! If you have something in mind always a good idea to stop by . You never know what youll find. Plus you help Habitat For Humanity when you buy items.
Friendly people & great prices. Will be going back.
I was really surprised at everything they had. Great place for someone starting out and dont have a lot of money to furnish their home. You can always get slip covers or throw a sheet over the furniture if you dont like the design. They have a little of everything from lamps to dressers.to beds.
Something you can buy very good price
Awesome place to find almost any thing you need for your home new and used super cheap
This is a excellent place to shop for gently used furniture and household items. Only thing I didnt like was the service that I received next store at THE PAINT OUTLET!! Very poor customer service skills. Needs to do better.
Buying was okay donating wasnt a a good experience brought a good working item home person accepting items needed more experience thanks
If you havent visited this store, you are missing out! Its a great place to get gently new wood furniture. Even better they have a wide selection of brand name (La-Z-Boy) couches and armchairs that are brand new, with a minor defect or two. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very good quality products for inexpensive . well at least most of the time.
Rugs, tables, pictures, lamps, bunk beds...bought them all there. Great prices, friendly employees, just all around great place. And helps the community.
Pre pandemic this location would have received 5 stars. Now there is a limited number of items for sale.
Great place to find great repurposed stuff.
You never know what you will find when visiting always something of interest.
The have a variety of things for your home or business at reasonable prices. They sort the unusable items out and keep only functioning products. The best part is that the proceeds to a good cause.
Not so good not much current items. poor selection doors. windows. cabinets. i know habitat very well in other areas. you have to know your product
Lots to offer, you never know what youll find here. They are very reasonably priced compared to other thrift shops. If you need new cabinets, doors, furniture, etc and cant afford it new, definitely check here.
Workers very helpful. They have everything you could use to remodel a home.
Today, my daughter; Lauren, her husband and friends Destiny and Marshall visited this store. They found a sectional couch and wanted to purchase it. They took a photo of the couch, then took the tag to the front of the store. My daughter asked if she could buy it and pickup later and was told, no. The representative advised if you buy you must take it immediately. They did not have a truck. They left and called me to see if I could pick up. I said yes. At about 3pm my daughter called the store back and the very same representative that said she couldnt hold it said, I bought it. This is wrong on so many levels. I have spoke to the manager, she agrees and advised this was a new employee, the coich is gone as the new employee arranged for pick up of the couch during her break! I have placed a call to corporate and will be following up with the Director of Wilmington on Monday.
Good place to find home necessities and furniture at great prices. Limited inventory to what is donated to them so you never know what you will get.
I LOVE this place!! Not kidding- they have a signed and numbered Peter Sculthorpe! I walk out with beautiful art, unique doors, or some painting supplies. Love the hunt for treasures here!
The prices are great here, the staff that they do have is very helpful. The only dislike is the store hours. They close at 4 or 5 depending on the day, which sucks. Everything is in categories with prices visible displayed. They sale anything you can find in a house, mostly everything is used but in a good enough condition to sell. I always find good deals here.
This place was a great place to buy household items but now the manager has taken to hiking up prices through the roof, I understood this was to be a humanitarian effort not a way to line someones pockets and create a get rich scheme for others, pass this along to everyone you know, after all these are mostly donations from kind people !!!!
Service was great and people there were very helpful
I excitedly asked an associate, Aniya, about purchasing a sectional and advised that I could pay in that moment and pick up the sectional prior to the end of their working hours. She told me that this was not possible; if I wanted to purchase the item, I needed to immediately take it and expressed that even if I paid in that moment and held onto the ticket, if somebody else paid for that same item with the ability to immediately remove it from the floor, their purchase would void my own. While I thought this was a strange practice, it was my first time visiting the store so I purchased a few small items with the plan to return prior to their closing hour with appropriate transport if the sectional hadnt been picked up by another customer. Once I was able to secure transportation, I called to clarify if the sectional was still there. The same associate that discussed it with me earlier flatly and rudely stated, actually I just bought that, yeah, and promptly disconnected the call. Me and my husband called back and requested to speak to a manager and sat on hold for over 25 minutes. When we called again, the line rang at least 8 times before reaching an automated directory; this happened three more times. Thankfully, my mom was able to touch base with the district manager who agreed that the actions of the associate were completely unprofessional and escalated it for further review by the restores director; this manager clarified that as a customer, I had the right to pay for the sectional in that very moment as long as I was able to return by the end of their working hours for pickup. While I am glad that her unprofessionalism was recognized, I want to emphasize how negative the experience was for me and how horrific her representation of habitat for humanity is. Her actions were grossly misaligned with store policy and while she is just a cashier, she is on the frontline of the new castle restore and her manipulative, deceitful behaviors completely tainted my perception of their facility. My husband and I just bought our first home and the one of a kind sectional that I was fully ready to purchase was denied to me by an associate for her own gain. I worked in retail and in customer service for many years and my experience today was disappointing and hurtful. The facility itself had many wonderful items but the self-oriented nature of this particular associate and her co-worker, who corroborated the false policy that I was being served, made me feel completely devalued as a customer. The sectional that I fell in love with is gone due to the deception of an associate. I dont know how the situation could possibly be rectified to make me feel valued enough to ever visit this store again—and it is this exact experience that I will warn others of in the future if a resolution is not consciously met.
Went to look for a dryer but I noticed their prices are a little high and didnt have no dryers in stock
Nice things excellent price.
Theyre not picky about the items they sell, which Im glad for, because you can find many items here you wont find anywhere else. Things like vintage lighting fixtures, used appliances, electrical hardware, and other items normal thrift stores dont sell.If youre looking for furniture theres a huge selection of sofas, cabinets and chairs. They also sell glassware, antiques and some electronics, which I didnt expect. And of course they have lots of tools in varying conditions.Theyre also very friendly there, especially the employees.
What they had was good but the employees werent as informed as they could have been.
I was disappointed that they did not have their usual choices or even stock available. Understandable with Covid not to keep that much inventory, but could ALWAYS FIND a variety and something of use, but now it seems to be a wasted trip.
Not very flattering in looks but theres definitely an opportunity to find a diamond in the rough
Ive been here several times. Unfortunately this time they didnt have much furniture.
Live this place and always find something to purchase!
Live love love this place and the cashier is awesome!
Never know what you will find. My father needed a chair with arms and I found one for $10.00.
This is one of the best charity organizations that does the most good in a consistent fashion. With Jimmy Carter at 95 years of age still building houses with them any and all of the wonderful purchases available at the ReStore goes to fond exceptionally productive home building projects in the community. Check in frequently as their inventory changes on a daily basis.
Has really gone downhill unfortunately. Used to love to come here for some great bargains. Now everything is incredibly overpriced it seems. Not to mention most isn’t in good shape and it’s way overcrowded. If they’d lower their prices they’d move more inventory. It’s a shame they really had a good thing going for a while and it was a cool place to go to.
Great staff they fill out the space well and get things out quickly so you have a good selection of things
Great service great store great location great prices
This is a great place. A great service to the community. Good deals on almost everything at great prices. Even have home remodeling materials for home renovations. Must visit.
Pretty nice Restore. Not the very best Ive seen but better than most in terms of the quality of items. A lot of nice China cabinets.
Large selection of stuff perfect for projects
Nice employees, verity of useful things at a good price
I was looking for an outdoors sofa for my patio deckI found it there. Perfect peice that i could make full cushions to fit. What a steal for less than a bike!😃
Good stuff...good cause
Not much there because of the Coronavirus
Great spot if you need to renovate on a budget.
Great organization doing great things for the community. The store offers donated items and leftover or salvaged construction supplies and building materials. A few supplies are new- tools, paint brushes, etc. This is a great place to look when you need to find that old knob, hinge, door, light fixture to match whats going on in your own protect/home. Consider donating your gently used furniture to this great cause and ask how you can help build houses for low income families in your community!
Good prices always find something for the home
Lots of good stuff
Father in law volunteers here. Great prices on like new items
Love to shop at the restore looking for bargains
There are always great things to find here for a decent price. They can hold purchases up to a week for you, so you can arrange transportation. The ladies behind the desk are friendly, and very helpful. The guys are always willing to help you load purchases if you need the help. They cannot offer to tie down or secure anything to your vehicle, but that is solely because of insurances purposes.I would recommend this place if you are looking for furniture of any type. They also have building supplies (door, sinks, cabinets, plumbing, etc.) which is great if you know what you are looking for. We have purchase sofas, tables, chairs, and a dresser from here, and all pieces are in great condition, and were for very reasonable prices.
Ive been to many Habitat for Humanity Restores, but this one in my opinion is the BEST. Why you may ask? For starters, after parking my car I get out of it and start walking to the entrance, when Im approached by one of the workers there that greeted me with a firm hand shake. I enter the store, when again Im greeted by the manager (please forgive me for not remembering his name) with yet another hand shake. They are so personable and friendly there. I never experienced this warmth at any other restore that I have been to. Guys and gals, please keep up the GREAT job you are doing there.
Always something new here
This is the BEST restore I have been to!! I live in PA near Philly. This store has an incredible selection and is so large. They have everything so organized and I could have spent hours there. I love shopping in Restore because I believe in their cause. Keep up the great work!
The customer service is terrible. I was there 10 minute before close and I could see the item I wanted to buy they stopped me and kicked me out of the store. It won’t take me 10 minutes to check out. I won’t be returning.
Really didnt have to much
Loved this store. Furniture prices are good and they also have a good selection
I liked it, they have nice stuff there at reasonable prices. I wish that I knew about this place before I brought all my furniture from other places. Definitely would have saved money and had better items. Will be coming here when I need to buy any furniture pieces. Kinda reminded me of goodwill but seemed to offer a lot more.
Very Polite and peacfull
It has alot to choose from especially if you are looking for furniture. Like sofas and chairs, decorator items, building supplies, home repair . I bought a new sectional sofa Two years ago from this store. In general you can find alot of house repair types of merchandise depends on what you are looking, like a home Depot thrift shop Alot of people dont know that the store is located there, because not much as far as signs .. Doesnt seem like the location is advertised. Had a hard time finding it the first time I went looking for it. Its a fun place to explore Sits one street behind McDonalds
Nice selection
Prices are much higher now since new management. Store is clean and staff seems nice. The prices need to be reevaluated on most items I think. Store seems less crowded than it used to be. I wont be shopping there very often.
Bright, clean, well managed. Have literally saved thousands of dollars on projects there. Have also donated all sorts of extra, left over, clean building materials, and tools. This organization fills some important niches in our society. I urge you to give them a try.
In store okay. Employees sale items out of docks and take money
One of my go-to treasure hunting spots. A wide variety of furniture, salvaged home supplies and accessories, and more. Ive lucked out here a few times and have forlornly mourned many quality pieces already marked sold when I didnt come early enough on good shipment days (they have a calendar at the front of the store that says what pick ups/deliveries are scheduled for the week and sometimes overviews items). It definitely can be hit or miss, but what salvage place isnt? Staff has always been generally friendly and helpful. Check it out if youre nearby!
I LOVE this place! When we moved to from Utah to Delaware we literally had no furniture. Thanks to this place we were able to furnish our entire home for a very affordable price! The people there are friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this store to anyone who wants good quality used furniture for a great prices.
Some great deals. Help others as you help yourself. Incredible variety that changes all the time. Keep going back.
We love this place. They have a little bit of everything in their store. A lot of furniture, cabinets, kitchen appliances, if youre looking for stuff like that stop in and check it out.
Great place to go first when starting any home improvement projects.never know what youll find, paint, antique furniture, cabinets, records, tile.people donate all kinds of things&they sell them to you cheap.
This is a big store with great variety. I would like to donate more but they can make it difficult.
Very nice ReStore. Well organized and prices are reasonable. Staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful.
Bargains and a great cause.Great place to shop for used furniture and building supplies. People are always helpful and pleasant. Ive found the furniture quality, prices and selection are generally far better than other charity shops.I was able to completely furnish my mothers room in Independent living at Little Sisters of the Poor for under $500 including a three piece bedroom set, large computer armoire, leather guest and desk chair and six door upright dresser. Saw a power lift chair in what looked to be in excellent condition for $225 last time I was there.Ive picked up some unique building materials at rock bottom prices for special projects that I wouldnt have been able to do quite the same way otherwise.
I love this place. everybody is very helpful and high in enegry. if they dont have what your looking for 1 day come back in about 2 or 3 days
I just went there today and it appears that all the pricing went up. Arent these all donated items? Things seemed very pricey. I wonder what the criteria is for pricing these items. There were tons of pictures but the pricing seemed really off key. For instance this small light pic was 8.00 and then this large heavier pic was 10.00? That just didnt make any sense. A lot of the Kitchen tables and chairs looked pretty worn but the pricing was ranging from 125.00 up?? that seems high to me. Then they are selling wooden chairs for 25.00 for ONE chair. WOW, sorry but that is just too high. Last time i was there was a while ago and the pricing was reasonable. What happened??
Great experience from when I entered the store with the sweet ladies at the front counter to all who are involved inside and outside. They were very helpful and helped me load my furniture I bought and strap it down in my husbands truck for me. Thank you all for the great service and going that extra mile. Merry Christmas.
We enjoy coming here for paint supplies and old furniture we want to restore. Were not rich so this place is very helpful when it comes to saving money. Its hit or miss when looking for something though. Sometimes you get lucky and youll find a great piece and other times nothing. It helps to go on a regular basis. All in all its a great place and it helps the community.
Nice place to shop. It big & pretty good selection of products.
Decent some prices are way to high for a Restore but a very good place to find some cheap furniture. Needs a better pick up system tho, I recommend purchase and pick up same day, do not wait. Pick up area is unorganized your purchase will be stuck up in a corner somewhere
I wanted to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity when I came home disabled from the military, because I thought it would be a good experience to put myself out there, while doing something for the community and learning. There were only two other people that showed up at the info session, and we were talking about our vocation. When I said I was a disabled vet, of all the things she could have said or asked, the volunteer coordinator asked me, You CANT work, or you just dont want to work? Although it can be taken differently, it was also the way she asked me that made me realize that I was not going to deal with her.
Great place to get all sorts of stuff for your home or business for extremely low prices. basically a thrift store on steroids
Very nice people. Save money and helps a great program
What a great volunteer event working with so many awesome people. Great way to give back to the community seeing so many people come together to change someones life. Cant wait to help with another home for a deserving person. Keep up the great work Habitat for humanity
Nice place to get some used items but i think they are a little pricy
Fairly priced. Love the fact that we are helping others when you shop here. Everyone was very nice and helpful.
If you have home projects but not a lot of money, GO HERE FIRST! Great stuff, great lrices, and it all benefits Habitat for Humanity! Love shopping here. Ive used this for stage needs with my drama group, as well as building materials for my home and garden. We have bought dressers, sofas, tile, windows, a bed, chairs, light fixtures, paint, housewares... We even bought our Kitchen Sink there! Kohler cast iron, extra deep double basin with porcelain finish - was $50. Needed a good scrubbing and resealing, was all of $30 and some elbow grease, but the same sink purchased new would be $700! Its a special order item.
They have a sign in the store for a 10% discount if you scan the. IRQ code. When we scanned it and showed the clerk, she acted as if we were making it up, trying to scam them or something. Said shed never heard of it. The sign right there in the store she claims to have worked at for 3 or 4 years. When the manager finally came up to assist, he too acted like it was a big mystery. Would not make eye contact. Finally found enough info to begrudgingly give us the advertised-right-there-in-their-store discount. Also, another worker recklessly pushed the door to an employee only area, almost hitting a nearby customer. And, finally, the store is a mess and lot of their items are overpriced.
Great place but considering how they get their stuff, they shouldnt be asking such high prices. If they keep it up, people wont spend their money, and will reconsider helping out the organization
Some good prices, can find some project items. Some used stuff is to close to retail price. Need a little additional discount.
Great place to find just about anything you need! Perfect for anyone with their first home. Good volunteer staff, always pleasant.
Great place for paint supplies at really affordable prices.
Awesome staff. Friendly, hard working and they care about their community. A great place to find items for your home, project or a DIY project.
$3000.00 for a dining room table? MANAGEMENT IS TO BLAME HERE Prices at this location are for the insane. Great cause..but why bother, when you can buy new for less! YOU ARE CRAZY IF YOU BUY ANYTHING HERE
Nice place to buy or donate.
They need to wear masks around each other even when the store is closed!!! ((EMPLOYEES)) I seen they take masks off around each when they’re closed! DANGEROUS!
I love the people and this place. Check frequently to find gems. We got almost all of our furniture for our house here.
Used furniture and building material from a great charity. Lots of items that sell fast so if you go and see something get it or it is gone in a few days. Doors, windows, chairs, sofas, you name it it is there to help people who need a home.
