Dropped in with a friend that trains here on a Sat open mat. Ive been to quite a few BJJ academies over the years, and you get a different vibe at each one. Salty Dog was full off game training partners of various skillsets and abilities. Everyone was cool and welcoming, but ready to work. Had a great experience, and will be sure to come back the next time Im in Wilmington.

Went tonight for the first time. Everyone was really welcoming and the instruction was great for any level. If youre looking for a laid back place to train with a good group of people this is the place.

Ive been to a lot of gyms and Salty Dog is by far the best. You get to learn from some of the best guys and they are friendly as well. Very competitive gym.

Great facility. John Salter is a professional. Great team and friendly environment. I suggest everyone to try it out. Very welcoming team.

I havent been to this school, but from a student there he is the kindest person youd ever meet. And students are a direct reflection of professors!!! I really hope one day to come to a open mat and get some rolls in!!!
