All around great place for cyclists no matter the skill level. You always feel welcome instantly walking through the door. It is a place I could truly spend hours upon hours and be overwhelmed with joy. Each and every person I have interacted with all seem to share the same set of core values and they continuously go above and beyond for the customer.I recently moved to the area, and one man, who one of the other employees informed me was an owner, (which I would not have known as he didn’t find it necessary to broadcast to the store. Nor did he rely on his prior service to compensate as he didn’t mention it a single time which was a positive note or perhaps we would have shared Army stories for much longer haha) treats you as if he has known you for years. We got to talking about gravel riding and my current training geared toward riding the Dirty Kanza in the coming years. After briefly talking, he stopped what he was doing to tell me about a couple of trails I had not heard of — going as far as pulling them up on the internet (and even telling me where to park) so I could have an arial representation of what to expect. Although, that statement does not do it justice. This wasn’t a sales plot to try and get me riding a new Specialized. (Although I would probably understand, they are sweet bikes..) Rather, he seemed to be genuinely interested in helping me find new places to ride that I might enjoy.From the fantastic atmosphere to immense selection, I will refuse to go elsewhere for any of my cycling needs. I wish I had known about Bike Cycles when I first arrived. It would have greatly simplified everything involving cycling. Save yourself unnecessary headache and stop here first. You won’t regret it.

Brought my fat tire bike in for a disc brake adjustment, Rob does excellent work: completed efficiently and fairly priced. Parker was helpful getting the heavy bike off and on the car bike rack. So glad to have this shop’s expertise in Wilmington NC.

Super nice staff! I was biking, got a flat tire, and they were the closest store to get a new innertube. They had all the products needed to change my flat, let me do it in there store, and were helpful and friendly during the whole process. Definitely recommend!

Bike had been acting weird. They checked out my bike right away. Tightened everything, put air in my tires, and fixed it right up! Great service.

They are eager to please, very friendly, very respectful of older generation too. Frankly we ride bikes but don’t know how to fix them (well actually we cannot remember how, lol), and these folks dropped what they were doing and had the bikes fixed and loaded them back up in minutes, and gave us a beautiful lime green tee. We used to go to NC yearly, but the next time we do I hope they have that fancy bike rack in stock that allows use of pickup truck tail gate - they really have all the latest quality products. True, we could buy in our own state, but we are putting off big ticket until we get back to here, yes, they made that great of impression from their service and attitude. So much so, we still reference this as best shop to YouTube and rv travelers we encounter.

Ive known the owner of this shop for over 30 years. I was reminded again today when he tweaked my bike to perfect my comfort that he is one of the most honest, helpful and knowledgeable individuals in his field and he strives for these characteristics in his staff as well. I highly recommend.

Had an old bike we werent using because the brakes never worked properly. Took the bike in to Bike Cycles to check it out. Within 15 mins, Zack, the sales manager, had the brakes fixed, charged me a reasonable fee, and had me out the door! Highly recommend this place.

Ordered a bike directly through Specialized and had it delivered here to be set up. Got an email from Specialized that the bike had been delivered to Bike Cycles and it should be ready in 2-3 days. To my pleasant surprise though - these guys called me about an hour after that email saying it was ready for me to pick up! Couldnt believe how fast they were able to get everything set up.Bike was set up perfectly, and everyone in the shop was very courteous. Great to know I have a knowledgeable and efficient shop right here in Wilmington.

Shawn is very knowledgeable about all things bikes. He spent a good amount of time showing me all about the world of smart trainers and virtual riding. Now, Im hooked! The rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I remember on one visit i began talking about bike with one of the mechanics and when I mentioned what I rode, he told me about a recall on my aero bars. They were very helpful along the way getting my ride fixed. I also brought my 4 year old here to find a helmet and Shawn was great with her showing her how to find the right fit and how it was supposed to fit on her head. Overall great bike shop and you wont regret shopping here.

Very nice guy helped my son replace a tire tube, took 8 mins, only negative feedback would be the $40 he charged us. I understand things are good in the bike business but seems quite steep.

Got a new bike online about a year ago. Been doing my own maintenance on it since but figured a yearly professional tune-up would be a good idea. Bike Cycles was conveniently located and had great reviews. I see why! I was able to drop my bike off easily just a few hours before closing and it was ready the next day. Everyone at the store was friendly and when I got my bike back, it was clean and the shifters/brakes/tires were all tuned properly. Its riding really smooth and Ill definitely come back to Bike Cycles for a tune-up again!

I’m from out of town and needed to get my Trek bicycle serviced. I was willing to leave my bike if requested but the folks at Bike Cycles were able to work me in immediately. 8 minutes later my bike was in great working condition and because the repair was so simple there was no charge; unexpectedly great service from a shop with whom I’ve never made a purchase. Check them out next time you have a cycling need.

I am very pleased with this company! They picked up my recumbent, checked it out and notified me what needed fixing and what cost would be before they fixed it. Then that night they called to let me know it was completed and they would bring it back to me the next morning! Everyone I spoke to and dealt with were very nice and aimed to please the customer! I rarely review places, but this team deserves a five-star review. I’ve brought my bike in a couple of times for maintenance, and each time, the staff have been super-friendly and knowledgeable. Also, they have never allowed me to pay for maintenance that I didn’t need.

The owner took a personal interest in my problem and ordered me a recumbent tricycle that he customized to my size and needs for less cost than if I had ordered it online and had to assemble it myself. This place is awesome. I was just there getting my gears adjusted (derailleurs) and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They showed me a feature I did not know the bike even had, which allows for trimming of the gears. They even adjusted my brake pads for me. What a great group. Thank you for your service. I cant say enough good things a about my experience with this shop. They took time to fit me (Im short) and to make sure I could handle the bike and get it on off the rack. They even loaned me a tool so my husband could fine tune his fit when he arrived later in the week. When we had an emergency that changed our schedule Shawn was mind and reassuring. Ive been a customer for many years and its all due to the consistency of service. They always have a solution for everything I manage to break. This visit was no different. I was on my Specialized Roubaix and suddenly I broke a spoke. I was able to limp the bike to the shop. Once there Erik took a quick peek and after wrapping up another customer he had my bike on the stand. Within 30 minutes I had a new spoke installed and the wheel spinning true. John, the manager, did a quick inspection of Eriks work which made me fee even more secure. After paying a very reasonable fee I peddle the 10 miles I had remaining to get home.Thanks guys!!!

Great experience with the staff at the shop yesterday. I engineer surgical robots for a living so I am pretty capable of working on my own bikes but while moving my son into UNCW I lacked one tool I left back in Raleigh to get his bike sorted out. I stopped in expecting to purchase the tool but the staff helped out without hesitation. It was a crazy, hectic and stressful day and to have a shop lend a hand made all the difference in the world.I will definitely plan some extra time I am down there to do some shopping and I take comfort in knowing if my son needs parts or work done on a bike there is a shop just a few minutes away we can trust.

I purchased a bike here and have had it serviced several times. I also had an older bike serviced. I was very pleased with the results. The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly.

Nice place with lots of different options. You can rent a bicycle for a day off you want to bike to the beach. It also has gels and energy bars of different flavors. If you like to work on the bike yourself, you can get all the materials here as well.

What an excellent bike shop. I was having issues with my Schwinn bicycle changing gears properly. Right when I walked in, they got my bike on a rack and starting getting it fixed. The employee even went above and beyond and readjusted odds and ends on the bicycle without being asked. After doing all this the employee didnt even charge anything. Best bike shop in Wilmington by far. Will be taking all my business to them in the future.

I visit Wilmington a few times a year. I consider Bike Cycles a must to my visit each time. They have serviced my bikes when sent from the West Coast, set up my bike that I have left with family in Wilmington, sold me merchandise and installations on bikes over the phone, and NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!Simply, Bike Cycles is the standard in Wilmington, period!!!

I am on vacation and went in here today to get a small issue with my road bike fixed. Todd was great. He fixed the problem, identified a few other issues, and got me out of there in less than a hour. The prices were very very competitive. Definitely wish my LBS was as good as this place.

It was a last minute thought that my daughter had over her Labor Day visit here, with two young children had. I was sure that renting childrens bikes well into the holiday week end would be a problem but the experience was simple and pleasant.Although the shop was very busy at the time we arrived it wasnt a long wait before someone got to us and assured us the rental would only take a few minutes. The children were fitted with the correct size bikes,helmets and training wheels in a short period of time. The bikes were loaded into our car and we were off with in the hour.Having the bikes made for a really great experience for the two young children from New York City.

Came in at 5pm today. Empty shop. 1 guy putting up lights in the front window. 1 guy at computer, 1 guy in the back. I don’t know their names. They don’t know my name. They did not ask. I asked for a Park cable cutter and got a finger point. Asked if they had a CN10 when I did not see one on the rack. Got an indifferent we can order one response. Saw one hanging at the work station. Asked if I could buy it. “I can get you one next week” replied guy from back settling up his own bike (I assumed this but unless the bike owner left his shoes with the shop tech, my assumption is probably correct). I wasn’t worth their time I felt. “So can I” I replied. They ignored the Bobke axiom of look at each customer as a giant bag of cash.To owner: I felt ignored and dismissed. Were you in the shop tonight? Hope you can fix it for future customers. I’m from out of town but read the reviews and came in. Really could have used a cable cutter for my sons bike. Sorry I’m disappointed, I gave you another star for replying back, but I got a “don’t need your business boutique bike shop vibe” on my first visit.

Went to Two Wheeler Dealer where employees seem to be participating in the Ignore the Customer Olympics I left after about 15 minutes of 20+ people avoiding eye contact. Went to Bike Cycles was greeted the moment I walked in the door. Then was greeted by another employee, then the owner. They took my bike out of the car and replaced the tube immediately. They also adjusted the hand brakes without being asked or my being charged. They loaded the bike back in the car for me. Price was under what I expected to pay and service was top notch. Ive found a new bike store and see no reason to go elsewhere!

I bought my wifes bike here as a gift for her birthday. I brought the bike back with my wife and they adjusted everything to fit her so her riding experience would be comfortable. Every time I have brought in my own bike to have work done they do a complete check of the bike to ensure that your bike is in good working condition.THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE ILL BRING MY BIKE TO HAVE WORK PERFORMED.

Shawn is a rockstar! I drove in from Burlington Ontario to do the NC70.3. The morning after we arrived and two days before my race, I took my lovely Trek out for a test ride to make sure all was good and to my surprise and horror, it wasn’t! The rear brake was totally stuck and I couldn’t fix it on my own. So I searched online for local help, went to Bike Cycles’s, told Shawn what kind of bike I have and what the problem was, and asked if he could help. As luck would have it, I found the best! He had a look, explained the options, and a couple of hours later, I was clapping my hands in happiness because my race was saved! I told everyone I met in Wilmington about my awesome experience and have told everyone back home as well. My bike was fixed super quickly and everyone was so nice and kind. Thank-you!!

Went in today to purchase stem and spacer. Decided to pick up a set of sale gloves on the way out. When I purchased spacers they were double the initial price I was told (different sales guy)and was charged $50 more for the gloves than advertised price. I caught the mistake but the clerk would not honor the initial spacer price. I paid the difference and left the store, just when I exited he yelled out have a nice day. Disappointing considering this experience is very different from my other intreactions. Luckily I caught the mistake. My advise, be careful.

Good work, good service but about 2x the price for parts if you were to buy them online. They sell the Ultegra 6701 chain with connecting pin for $80. Its less than $40 online. They sell the Shimano Cassette 5700 11/28 for $64.99. Its less than $40 online. Take that into account when having your bike serviced.
