Im so happy now that my hair reflects who I am. I never thought Id be able to say that until met Mercedes. She listened to every word I said about what I wanted and gave that to me and more. It was the best salon experience Ive ever had!!!

Hands down, best salon Ive ever been to. Blythe is a wizard with hair and truly listens to what I say (and somehow interprets my vague descriptions perfectly every time). The salon is welcoming and comfortable, and very friendly. This is not a place where you walk in dreading disdainful looks - everyone is smiling & kind & genuine. I also love the fact that it is gender neutral, with pricing based on the amount of time you spend in the chair instead of traditional mens and womens pricing. I cannot recommend them enough!

Mercedes is my daughters stylist. She has very thick curly frizzy hair. Since we have been seeingHer my my daughters hair is absolutely Gorgeous. She is license in a diva cut. Mercedes is qualified and doing every hair type . I will follow her everywhere for my daughter and I will become a Client. Has been doing fun colors now 2x LOVE IT

Hair Republic is a very bright and inviting salon that welcomes everyone in to experience their hospitality. They continue to met my expectations of Covid cleaning standards and everyone is mask compliant.My stylist, Sasha, is a lovely person and I truly enjoy my time in her chair. I love this place! Not only did they purchase a special air system because of the pandemic, but they clean regularly between each customer. The owner is not only an amazing stylist, but she is a lovely human being.She has the first salon in Wilmington to be gender neutral. This is so important in making everyone feel comfortable. Her mission is that everyone who comes feels welcomed & safe.I have gone to Blythe, who is the owner for years and I will never go to anyone else. Love this newish salon! My hairdresser Sasha is kicking some serious a$$! Ive followed her since her days at hair school, her previous salon, and love her new found home at Republic. Its super clean, easy parking, And you can tell all stylists and the new owner have found a special place to be creative. Love it!

We have a gem in our community, for those who need it most. Most people don’t know the stress some in the LGBTQIA community have going to get a hair cut at a new place. Will they be misgendered? Will they be welcome. To have a place that they KNOW is open and supportive is one less hassle someone has to go through in life, and we are lucky as a community to have such places that strive to make life easier for others, if we could all be so conscious of our fellow man, what a world we could have ❤️

Sasha, slays it with pixie cuts, and Blythe is a wizard behind the chair but instead of a wand she has shears 😆They are all so friendly, kind and understand and will take the time to listen to your wants and needs.
