Starter ReplacementA few years back, I had electrical issues with my car, something was draining my battery, I was visiting family for Thanksgiving. When I called he asked me if I know whats wrong with it. I said possibly a starter, but I am not sure. They went ahead and replaced the starter without looking for another cause - I paid around $640. We dont live in ILM. Drove home and a few months later the refurbished starter gave out ( I thought I had paid them for a new one not refurbished). I went to the dealer and had it replaced for $900. Then the dealer told me that the electric issue I had, had nothing to do with the starter- the dealer tweaked something and it was no longer draining my battery.The lesson is - cheaper is not always cheaper. This business is unprofessional, I would not recommend it, no quality there.

After taking my call of distress after business hours on day one, the next busness day they had my Toyota Siennas electrical issue diagnosed in less than half an hour. Thats superb care and experience! And the fix was delivered at a most competitive price. I have taken one of my work vans and personal vehicles to First Quality Imports. I was kindly greeted by Bonnie on the phone she was very respectful to my requests of what I needed done. Later that day David called me to tell me that after inspecting the vehicles what would need to be done and told me the prices for each part and the labor costs to complete the job. He also noticed that whoever worked on the vehicle before did not use the right parts. He fixed what needed to be done at a very price and had the vehicles done way ahead of time. I highly recommend using First Quality Imports for all of your car needs. This is a TRUE and HONEST family run business. I am very happy that I was able to find them and it is definitely worth the trip to Castle Hayne where ever you are located at. Best of luck to First Quality Imports 2017 +

94 Honda Del Sol (nearly 25 years old!), still drives like a dream thanks to David and Ken at First Quality. The service is always on point, top quality, respectable, honest, and at a much more honest price than the big places. I have been around a few different places, and left somewhere else I really respected just because of how real and good First Quality Imports is. I was amazed at how friendly the owners of this shop were to me. I am currently in college, just struggling to keep my old Blazer alive for two more years. One day, I thought my car had finally kicked the bucket, but when I brought it in to First Quality, Mr. David offered to fix my car for a price that didnt make me want to drop out! I really appreciated how honest and fair they were to me, as a young girl I feel like mechanics often try to pull the wool over my eyes, but First Quality wasnt like that! I am so thankful for the work they did for my car, shes running like a champ now!

I got wronged by Bonnie and David.I expressed sincere interest in getting my truck running, went through deep explanations of conditions, only to be spurned away by poor service on a defining occasion.This could be a good shop for you, but it was not for me. Unfortunate.

Took my truck in to get it fixed- David said I needed all new spark plugs and a new coil. I said go ahead. A few weeks ago truck began acting up again, I took it to the place I had had the oil changed before and had went to for the past 5 years, they looked at it and said it needed the coils replaced, I said i had one replaced 3 months ago along with ALL plugs. When checking the spark plugs they asked me again when were they replaced I said about 3 months. They said, one coil was replaced but they said not the spark plugs. I went to see for myself and picked up the plugs they took out and had 2 other car experts look at the plugs and they agreed they were not replaced. I went in and confronted them and they refused to do anything and denied everything. I asked for a refund of just the plugs and labor, thats it- ($177.00 out of over $700 spent there) and they said no- NO FIRST QUALITY THERE, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!I hate to even give 1 star...

TOP NOTCH SERVICE. I recently purchased a used Toyota minivan and asked around town where the best place to have it checked out would be, most people, especially with Toyotas and Lexus mentioned David @ FIRST QUALITY IMPORTS. So I scheduled an appointment and had it looked over. I was immediately impressed by the wealth of knowledge David and his co-workers had about my vehicle, they gave me a prioritized plan of the work it needed to get it back up to par, without trying to sell me the world in one trip. I was able to get the necessary repairs done right away and budget myself to get the rest done over the next few months. They treated me like family and spoke honestly about my vehicle, which is hard to find anywhere these days. I researched many shops before deciding where to go, although there werent a ton of reviews on them, ALL of theirs were 5 STAR aside from one, which I also looked into and found out the truth about. It is true about the saying you cant make everyone happy, but at least at FIRST QUALITY IMPORTS they do everything possible to try, and I will definately be sending all my friends and family.
