We have used Casella for years for regular trash and recycling pick up, and have been fairly happy with the pick up service itself but I must say the customer service is awful. When we moved just a couple towns over, we wanted to transfer our service and I had to call multiple times and talk to multiple people to accomplish this simple task. More recently, I called to inquire about appliance removal. The girl on the phone said she had to send an email to find out if it was possible and she would call back when she got a response. I gave it a couple weeks and didnt hear back so I called. Someone put in our file that they called and left a voicemail the next day, which I am certain is untrue. I dont get many voicemail these days, and when I do I dont ignore them. Its possible they called because I have a missed call from that day (but Google search on the number did not return Casella, so Im skeptical). I think there is room for improvement here.
Most convenient and well managed drop off center Ive ever visited. Traffic can get a little disorganized at times during a rush, but if you show up at the front or tail end of their working hours its all good.I do wish there were a few more centers around the state!
I feel bad because I don’t know the name of the guy who drives the truck for our curbside pick up, but he is very nice. We have forgotten to put our bins out by the road on service days before. And though it’s not part of his job, he still stops the truck and walks up to where we keep the bins during the week to collect them. I really appreciate that he does that for us, because really he has every right to just drive by if our bins aren’t out by the road.
Worst service business I’ve ever encountered in Vermont. Billing scams every year I had to deal with, wouldn’t make it right unless I left a review of their crooked ways online, discriminates against customers who do to refuse service, they scrub their own reviews or delete their profile online to rid themselves of complaints, Avoid them at all costs. The attorney general consumer protection division should be contacted about their business practices. We need a better garbage company in Vermont for the areas they service!
Canceled the service and got billed for another month...More expensive than any other service in the area and they don’t always come.I’ve called the rep was rude, wouldn’t even listen.
