It was easy to schedule and the company was very responsive with prompt communication. We worked with Denise to get scheduled and Tom was out technician, amazing! Tom quickly identified the problem with our washer and it was fixed in no time! Great overall experience! Would use Horizon again and highly recommend to anyone!

We called Travis on a Saturday morning when we realized our air conditioning failed. He was able to come by that afternoon. He found that our furnace was also completely rusted out inside and gave us quotes to add coolant to the A/C as a quick fix or an estimate to install a new A/C unit and furnace. We opted for the latter. Travis was very knowledgeable and professional. He was courteous and polite. His work was wonderful. The only reason my rating is 4-star is because he was held up due to a family emergency. He made it up by working until 9pm to finish the job. He is a very hard worker. I highly recommend.

Our freezer went out and although we researched and tried to do a repair ourselves, it still wouldnt work.One call/email on a Sunday and an immediate response was received from Travis and via email and an appointment for the next morning to take a look was confirmed.Chris came in plenty of time before the end of the window and let us know when he was on his way.He diagnosed the problems, gave us an estimate and ordered the parts, with our approval. We paid half up front.The parts came in on the day expected, he again arrived on time and with notice, fixed the freezer in about 20 minutes and the bill was exactly as estimated.The $65 fee was applied toward the repair bill and invoices/estimates/receipts were sent both days.Chris was polite, friendly and efficient.I couldnt ask for more. I needed a washer fixed. Service provider underestimated the time to receive the part need less by more than a week! Then, service provider left my carpets disgusting (see photo I was welcomed with when all was finished and I returned home). Muck was left all over the bathroom sink and somehow the sink drain started leaking after this service provider entered to repair the washer. I then had to call another handyman to replace the valve (another $130) to stop the leak! This service provider apologized and promised a partial refund for the inconvenience but the refund never came through!Yes, the washer was fixed, but I would not recommend this provider. It took way longer than expected and cost much more than needed after the additional break of the sink, carpet clean up, and non-refund.

I waited the better part of seven months for Horizon appliance to repair my stove after paying to have it fixed. Multiple appointments, cancellations, a fix that did not work and an additional 4 month wait. The lack of follow up or at least a courtesy call to give an update. Now, when I finally get Travis live on the phone, after leaving multiple messages that had not been returned, he indicates he is no longer working with the warranty service and cancelled the ticket. No call, nothing. And once I got him on the phone, no apology or ownership of the situation, just a string of excuses (victim mentality). The exact lack of accountability that will take this country in the dumper. The original service repair request was in November of 2020 in an attempt to get my stovetop and griddle to light prior to Christmas for my holidays. It is now August and no fix. He just suggested on the phone I call Wolf. I have a better suggestion. Dont call Horizon Appliance.

Refrigerator stopped working in January. Thumbtack.com referred me to Horizon Appliance and HVAC.Travis was 2 hours late after his time slot. Called us while he was already late to inform us he was having lunch.Travis diagnosed a bad evaporator on our fridge. Ordered the part and installed it. Repair did not work.Travis came back and did the thing where he began blaming a prior repair (he said the wrong refrigerant was installed on the fridge. In the past decade we have lived in the house, the fridge has faithfully worked without a single repair) He changed the refrigerant. Repair did not work.Travis came back. He gave it the old college try. At this point, I knew the repair would not work and I was right.After the three attempts, Travis has not returned our phone calls. Once in a while someone answers and tells us that she would deliver the message to Travis. Travis does not answer.Here we are $1529.24 in the hole and Travis keeps ghosting. Should have dug a little deeper. hindsight in 20/20. Half his reviewers in Google and Yelp are in the same boat.I am really just trying to help the next sucker that hires this guy. Please avoid.

FRAUD!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We hired Horizon Appliance & HVAC in Henderson, NV on March 13, 2021 to repair our Samsung dryer. Repairman, Jesse, diagnosed problem, collected $544 and left the disassembled dryer saying hed be back in a week when parts came in. I called after a week of no show only to find that Jesse quit the company. He gave me owner, Travis number in Colorado. Travis apologized and said he would fly out to repair in a week. Travis failed to show, and is no longer receiving my calls. The Better Business Bureau hasnt had any more luck getting a hold of the company. Now I see on the Horizon Appliance & HVAC website in Henderson that it is Temporarily Closed.I will continue to contact various agencies in an effort to not only retrieve my money but also to put a STOP TO TRAVIS and HORIZON APPLIANCE & HVAC from RIPPING others OFF!!!

My heater went out and I called up Horizon. Travis was able to come out a couple hours after I called. he quickly found the issue and gave me a cost on repairs, and was able to pick up the parts needed and got my unit fixed. great overall experience with this company.

Horizon provided me a prompt response and quick availability, which I very much appreciated, but I have to admit that I have been very disappointed with the service. The tenants of my property were complaining about intermittent loud noises from water lines when the washer was being filled. The technician said nothing was wrong, charged me a consultation, and recommended that we just add insulation around the lines so they would not bang against the ducts. I paid a handyman to do this, but this did nothing to dampen the sound. I did my own research, and quickly realized the loud banging noises was due to water hammer. Purchased arresters, paid the handyman to go back to the property to install these, and the problem is now totally fixed. I am upset because this should have been a super straightforward/obvious problem for a washer technician to diagnose, as the circumstances were classic for it from my reading. Because Horizon did not identify the issue, it ended up costing me a lot more $ and personal time in the end, and eventually could have caused damage to my tankless water heater, loosen brackets, etc. I felt like it would not be fair to write this all in a review, without Horizon having had the opportunity to discuss this with me first. I sent them a message about this a few weeks ago, and they still have not gotten back to me. I really want to support small business, but for this reason, I am sorry to say that I would advise against this business.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI had an absolute awful experience with another appliance repair company that tried to rip me off and I was appalled at the Managers behavior, but thankfully I ran across Horizon Appliance on the Thumbtack app.Wow - I am so grateful for their professionalism and service. Thank you Jesse for properly repairing my refrigerator and your great service. He was on time (Appliance Repair Experts were also 2 hours late) and was able to remove the water filter and replace with the new one. Updated review: I received a call back after leaving a review here and on Thumbtack. I’ve spoken with the owner, Travis, and we came to an agreement to rectify the situation. After my experience I’m hopeful that this was a one-off and that others don’t have a similar situation.Do not use this company! The technician who originally came to repair my fridge misdiagnosed the issue. He claimed I needed to replace the evaporator coil, for what was a defrost issue with the freezer. With covid-related delays this took over a week and they charged me over $500.Of course, the same issue occurred a few weeks later when my resident began to manually defrost their freezer (again) and noticed that there were burned and melted wires behind the panel now. I called Horizon back to reschedule another visit. We had communication issues with the resident to enter the unit and when the technician didnt get an answer he left and refused to answer any calls or texts after the fact. I have texted and called the office repeatedly since then and not a single person has reached out to me.I had another company diagnose the issue as a refrigerant need, which he then completed without delay. I am livid. I am continuing to reached out to Horizon to refund the labor as good faith for their labor warranty policy, for burning my appliance and negligence.

Horrible experience. When you call in, if you are lucky enough to get Beth, she is the only one that knows what is going on in this company. The technicians put in minimal effort to figure out what is wrong with your appliance or repair. They will make you do things to fix it like clean out the dryer vent line (which they do not do), the technician said he would not inspect the dryer further because he didnt want to be liable? They ordered new seals for my dishwasher and it still leaks. This is all after no call and no shows, rescheduling, and one time they said they didnt have the unit number and left even after they had been out before. AVOID!!!!

HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE this company for appliance repair.They booked us a week out since they said that was the soonest they could come, which is understandable. However, the morning of the day they were supposed to come out, they called and said their truck broke down and they werent going to come, but they could diagnose the issue over the phone and order a part. If that was the case, why didnt they diagnose it over the phone a week earlier and order the part?They said the part would come in over the weekend and they could install it the following Monday. They never called on Monday and when I called them on Tuesday to check the status, they said the part hadnt arrived yet and they were too busy to call and provide an update the day before.Its now been over two weeks since we called for service and they never came to our house once, and never called to provide an update or install the part they ordered. They rarely answer their phone or call you back. I ended up calling another company that came out the next day and fixed our dishwasher that same day. The new company also didnt need the part Horizon ordered.Such a sham, horrible company. Really poor customer service. They shouldnt be in business and I HIGHLY recommend you take your business elsewhere.***UPDATE: The response from the business owner says that they were too busy to service home warranty clients. If this was the case, they should have said that on day 1 instead of scheduling an appointment a week out, claiming their truck broke down (clearly a lie) and ordering parts and keeping us waiting for over two weeks. This excuse makes no sense. Horrible business practices.

I had a 5 year old LG fridge stop cooling we called horizon and they sent out Travis he knew exactly what was wrong. he ordered parts and got out the next day to finish repairs. i high recommend Travis with horizon appliance he is very friendly and knows what he is doing.

The work done was good. Everything seems to work great. The problem is they dont communicate with their clients. We were told 10-14:days for one of the parts. That came and went no call. I left 3 messages before getting called back to say it would be 1st week of December (started November 11th) due to Covid delays. Well as you guess that came and went. When I eventually get hold of them they say the tracking shows the part arriving in 3 days and we set a repair date for the next day. No show no call. After Christmas I left 2 messages. When I miraculously got hold of them on the 29th apparently the part had arrived. It was fixed on the 30th an hour later then the window given. Wont hire again

I have been attempting to receive my 450 dollars charged to my account that was to be returned. Multiple phone calls for three months now. Consistent messages it will be completed, no return correspondence to customer, have to initiate communication myself and being put off. Seem like nice people with poor business skills. They did eventually rectify the refund and understood my concerns.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We have American Home Shield so put in a request for service through them on November 18th, as our washer/dryer (combo unit) was no longer drying and kept giving us an error code (DHE). They assigned Horizon. Horizon came out Wed, November 25th. They determined it was the electrical panel and fuse that needed to be replaced and told us they would request the parts that day. When Monday came around, I called Horizon to check in on the parts ETA, and they hadn’t ordered the parts yet because the person was already out of the office that Wednesday for the holiday. It was a bit frustrating to have been told otherwise. After that call, AHS’ site was updated and we were told once the parts were received, we’d receive a call. I tracked both parts, one having arrived Thurs 12/3 and the other on Friday 12/4. I never received a call so I called on Tuesday Dec 8th and they confirmed they received the parts so we’re able to come Friday, 12/11. When the guy came on Friday, he was here for a couple of hours, calling someone else for help and getting berated on the phone by the other guy yelling at him to “pay attention” etc - I felt bad for him and thought it was very rude and unprofessional of the person on the other end, but equally was concerned that the person fixing needed the assistance. It was determined that although he was able to replace the electric panel, that the fuse was the wrong size and an electrical wire also needed to be replaced that wasn’t accounted for in their initial diagnosis. So, he put our washer back, said we could still use the washing component of it as we had been, just still not the dryer. He also told us that his colleague already ordered the correct parts and would be in touch as soon as they got in. Sunday 12/13, went to use our washer today and now sounds like a power drill is going off and the front panel where the controls are is loose. They’re closed on Sundays, but I called and left a message requesting that someone come out tomorrow to fix this new issue. First thing this morning (Monday 12/14) when they opened, Travis called and let me know the parts came in (they ordered them priority) and are able to come 11-2 - honestly, was really pleasantly surprised at getting the call, the parts being in so fast and them coming that day to fix it. Travis showed and fixed the board/wire within 30 minutes. I was out running errands so he called to let me know it was done and I specifically asked if it was making a very loud noise still that occurred from Friday’s finagling with it and he said no. Get home, tested it and it still sounds like a rocket take off when spinning. Called Travis back and he said he would check his schedule and give me a call back as soon as he got to a stop off point as he was driving. Never received a call back. Called AHS so they could update the issue and request Horizon to come back out. Got a call first thing Tues 12/15 morning from Horizon to schedule them to come back Wed 12/16. Came out 12/16 - heard loud noise during spin cycle and said he would request through AHS to order a new rotor. Next day, 12/17, we got a new error code, FE, so called and they added a water inlet valve to the order. Still waiting on parts to come in to confirm another appt. 1/29/2021 - Rotor FINALLY arrived, Horizon replaced cold/hot water inlet valves and rotor - STILL sounds like a jet engine taking off which the rotor replacement was “supposed to fix.” Called AHS to submit recall. 2/1 leave vm for Horizon. Later in day, Get DHE error code on washer/dryer AGAIN. Call AHS to report that and find out horizon called them earlier today to tell them that nothing is mechanically wrong and it’s the position of the washer/dryer (flat on the floor btw) that’s causing the noise so the service is complete. Seriously?! The washer/dryer is giving us the DHE code AGAIN which was the reason we put in a service request in the first place back in November so clearly there is something mechanically wrong. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Still waiting on a credit to my credit card for a part they couldnt get.They told me it would take 3-5 days to credit back to my account and I would only be charged the service call. It has been 9 weeks now and no one answers phone or will return my calls. They basically stole $375 from me. Im surprised they are still in business.To his credit I finally got a credit back after I posted this review. Its just unfortunate that I had to post to finally get a response.

Travis is a crook. He stole $877. out of my bank account.He came to my home to diagnose a warm fridge, quoted us $877. to replace the compressor. a month ago We called him a few hours later to let him know not to proceed and that we had purchased a new fridge instead.3 days later he charged my card for the full amount.I managed to get him to answer his phone once in the past 30 days. He promised to pay me back but still hasnt and continues to avoid me for another 2 weeks.I also paid $70 for the service call which I am not disputing even though he showed up 2 days late for the appointment.I never post negative reviews but Im hoping this will get your attention, Travis.Westminster Police said I would have to meet an officer at Traviss address 9820 Westcliffe Ave. Unit 1928 to file a report as they are keeping the police dept closed to the public due to covid, etc.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!! I wish I would have read a little deeper into reviews for this place before I hired Travis to fix our freezer. Every review that mentions him by name is spot on and unfortunately he is the owner of Horizon. Travis is rude, unreliable, and incompetent.He came out to diagnose our problem on September 4th, demanded we pay for the entire repair up front, then proceeded to run us around in circles for the next 3 weeks until he finally said he didnt know how to fix the freezer. He no call/no showed on 4 different occasions. When he actually did show up he was hours late. He originally said he would have the freezer fixed on September 8th but when he ordered the wrong part he kept pushing the date back further and further in order to complete work for other customers instead of finishing work he already started for us; likely because he had already been paid.Travis claims he couldnt find a compressor for the freezer that would work but he actually just installed the compressor backwards. A competent technician from another company confirmed this and had the freezer fixed in a matter of days.On two occasions Travis broke into our laboratory through a faulty door. He figured out that he could pull on the door really hard and the door would pop open. When he first did this I told him that was not okay and I needed to let him into the lab (CU Boulder has strict rules in place during COVID). The second time was on September 23rd, he was suppose to be coming to check out the freezer because it was not cooling after the 3rd time he attempted to repair it. He scheduled an appointment with me at 7:30am, and specifically asked me if anyone would be in the lab. I told him not usually but I would meet him there to let him in. He proceeded to break into the lab around 7:10am, dump the refrigerant from the freezer into the atmosphere, then remove the compressor. He did all this and was gone before 7:30. Luckily I had a feeling he was going to do something unprofessional and I setup a camera. This was a borderline criminal act by Travis and the police did get involved and there is a report on file.Travis refused to give us our original compressor back and left it empty of refrigerant: in worse shape then when he first came. He then said although he couldnt fix the freezer, he was only going to give us a partial refund. He said we were going to be responsible for the diagnostic and also some of the cost of the wrong part he ordered. When I asked him for an invoice for exactly what part we were being charged for he hung up on me and would no longer answer my calls. After calling the police regarding his braking and entering Travis finally issued a full refund.I hope by sharing my experience here it will make someone think twice about trusting Travis/Horizon with anything. We have 15 other freezers/refrigerators in our lab right next to the broken one; if Travis is willing to treat us so poorly with all that potential work in his face, how do you think he will treat you?

The response from Horizon Appliance and HVAC was quick, especially being Super Bowl Sunday, in the evening. My family was very worried that we would lose all of our perishables in our freezer and refrigerator.We were able to get an appointment in the morning, Travis diagnosed it on site and fixed the problem.This company was professional, great communication, and was able to solve the problem within the estimated cost.Cannot say how thankful we are of Horizon Appliance and HVAC!

Great initial repairs! Also great if you love non-existent follow-up!My ma called to get her refrigerator repaired and Travis came out, fixed a couple of problems and ordered a replacement part. Once the part came in (which took a bit, but ehhh, whatever), he went back to my moms to install. After the initial install, the refrigerator started making a ton of noise every hour or two. She called back on a Tuesday and left a voicemail explaining the problem. Friday rolls around and she still hasnt heard a thing, so she calls and catches him. He says he can fit her in between 10 and 11 on Monday.Fast forward...Monday. 1:00: No word. She calls him and he tells her hell be done in about 30-40 minutes. Hell text her when hes on his way.Monday. 2:30: No word. She calls again. He says hes just finishing and is on his way.Monday. 3:30: No word. She calls again. He is getting gas. Hell be there in 15 minutes. Monday ends with a no show.Tuesday. 10:00 AM: She calls again. He said he was rear ended and hell be out early afternoon.Needless to say, he never called and never showed. Great service if youre an actual refrigerator. Terrible service if youre a human being.

They came to repair our dishwasher. Replaced the discharge pum . Then we found out is wasnt the discharge pump. They said they had to order a different part. They said it would take over a month for the part to arrive. It was supposed to arrive Dec 18th. As of Januaryb3rd, they still wont return my last 7 phone calls to schedule the repair. I doubt they even ordered the part. Lack of communication is the biggest disappointment
