I was shocked at how much they were quoting just to come out. And they were a week out made me start looking at a new refrigerator from best buy. But I found a better alternative and got it repaired the next day.
If i could i would give them 0 stars. I had a leak in my washing machine and he put the blame on me using too much detergent. I used a tablespoon of detergent on a med-lg load and it still leaked, and not from the place that he said it was “soap leaking” from. He was very impatient, only wanted to leave, very unapproachable and honestly had no idea what he was doing. The worst part of this is that i had an appointment with another company first, and cancelled with them because i thought “sears is a bigger name”. Shame on me. I rescheduled with the company I initially had an appointment with and i got lucky that they had a slot opening (originally mine) for the same day. P.S. the leak in my washer continued 17 mins after the “technician” left. For your reference, his name is Johnny, probably in his mid 70’s. If you insist on going this route, save yourself the agony and don’t go with Johnny. Also, their customer service is by far the worst. Said they can’t refund me the trip charge of $99. Such a waste!
They damaged our floor and it took them several visits to repair our fridge door. That said some of the visits were due to poor packaging by the warehouse. Still to this date they have not picked up the bad fridge door they replaced, its still sitting in our garage. With regards to floor damage I contacted the companies insurance, however they require me to agree to a complete confidentiality clause in order for them to cover the damages the tech caused, which I would not agree to. This work was done by Sears Appliance repair through A&E by way of Assurant service protection advantage.Update: It turns out the Response from the owner is a just a Social Media Moderator from TRANSFORMCO.Upon reaching out per the Response from the owner no action was taken. Here was the final response:We do apologize for the experience you have had regarding this complaint. Unfortunately, with this case without accepting the requirements then they are not able to assist further with the damage complaint. For reference the accepting the requirement was to accept a complete confidentiality clause .In my opinion not taking responsibility for damages without holding customers hostage for their confidentiality shows poor moral character in Sears. In the end they still have not picked up the bad fridge door they said they would come back to pick up. And I never received any compensation for the damages they caused to my home by dragging a heavy box with staples across our hardwood floors.
My 76 year old mother bought dented dishwasher thought she paid in full $1200, but was ask to fill out paper work that would save more money, it was a lease that automatically charged her credit card for more than a year, she paid just over $2000 before we discovered what was done. Called Sears and talked to someone who saw what happened but when we came to talk to manager he claimed he need 3 weeks to find our file when someone else found it instantly on phone. He assured us he would call in 2 or 3 weeks, 4 months later no call . If we had not wondered about random autocharge on card that dented dishwasher would have cost $3400, if this wasnt meant to trap unsuspecting consumers, this would have been fixed, shame on Sears!!!! This review is apparently our only recourse.
Complete waste of time. Sears did not even keep the scheduled appt. time to fix my washer. Glad I didnt miss work because of it. Hope I am not billed. I received an email stating they would be coming that morning. Waited, waited, no show, no call, text, email - nothing! Tried to reschedule for another day. It was a hassle to talk to someone on the phone system. Finally get someone, next available was 1 week away. I give up Sears! Boo, Hiss, Boo. Update: August 5 I have emailed the information as requested. Will keep updated. 8/6 UPDATE: I did contact Sears repair and this was the response Hello Michelle, Thank you for providing us with this information. From our review of this service we do see that it was canceled due to the schedule date and that a different provider was used for further service. We do apologize that our scheduling did not work out for your service. Are you needing further assistance or repairs with the unit at this time? Thank you,Kassidy A.Social Media Moderator TRANSFORMCO.I have responded to Transformcos question. 8/6 at19:40 Yes, I still did need a repair and was willing to give Sears/Transformco a 2nd chance as I was unable to secure a time with the other provider.I still have not received a call, text, email, snail mail, or any form of communication as of 8/8 acknowledging that they would like to make this right. Sears is on the way out and I believe Transformco will fall down right behind them.
I wish I could not even give one star. Our 3,000 Sears Elite Refrigerator was 5 years old. We had a Appliance Repair agreement with Sears. It took 5 !!!!repairs and had to wait 3 weeks before they would be able to get me in for each appointment. My refrigerator would work for two weeks and then quit working. During this time we had a terrible winter I had to go outside to get for my food from coolers. !!!! Sears repair policy” was they had to make 5 attempts to repair before Sears would credit us 500 towards another refrigerator. But when we asked for the cash they denied our request. In all I was without a working refrigerator for 3 months!!! and 5 disappointing repairs. By then I could not go through one more “repair “. We had to by a new refrigerator. Sears is a terrible company. They never held up their part of the contract!! If anyone has a information as to what else I can do to get Sears to comply I would appreciate it.
