In addition, I was handed down rings from my mother And wanted them unsoldered and resized to fit me. I also had a ring with a damaged birthstone and wanted to replace it with something different. The staff worked walked me through many options and discussed pricing so there were no surprises. We came up with a plan for all my jewelry and I left it in their hands. They gave me a date and delivered two weeks sooner. I was very impressed with the attention I was given. I picked up my jewelry last night and I couldn’t stop smiling. Best customer service I have received in a while. I came in with a ring that I thought had a broken prong. The gentlemen at the counter gladly took a look and determined it was just a sharp edge. He had it quickly filed down and cleaned for no charge. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Richards Jewelers.. Hands down excellent small town big service jewelry store!! Being from Westfield ~Richards has always been a dependable and friendly jewelry store that I frequented often. In 2002 ~ my husband bought my engagement ring there...then wedding bands to follow and we have remained consistent satisfied customers throughout the years. Recently I had issues with our second set of wedding bands~ just mine actually. Richards not only replaced my ring not once but twice .. along with engraving included with NO CHARGE. That alone was enough. But this afternoon I just picked up a necklace that was repaired which was very sentimental to me ~ bought for me by my son. And yes today again~ NO CHARGE! They not only stand by their products but they also stand by their word! There is nothing more satisfying than doing business with a small town business but also receiving that kind, compassionate and outstanding customer service care that goes along with it.

I have only outstanding things to say about Richards. I found a engagement ring that I love on Ebay at a competitive price that was being sold by Richards. I called them and they gave me a great deal. Upon receiving the ring with fast shipping, just as advertised, I realized that it didnt fit the diamond (which I had bought separately). Although I considered returning the ring, Richards informed me that if I mailed them the setting and ring, they would resize the ring, changed the setting head (so the diamond would fit) and set the diamond for free. I did just that, and it came back perfect. Their communication was excellent, as well as their service. I would gladly do business with Richards again.

I called and was told they would look at my loose stones to possibly purchase some. When I arrived I was told that the information I received over the phone was inaccurate. Unable to sell the stones I asked if they sold settings. They didnt offer anything unique, but were wiling to do a payment plan, so I left them with my nicest emerald to be set in a size 7 white gold band with two diamond accents in it. The next 2 times I visited was to make payments. My visits were mostly brief, as I felt a mixture of out pf place, and in the midst of moderate sales pressure. I was under the impression that the ring would be ready for pick up at the time of my final payment (I didnt assume, but asked in advance and was misinformed), but they told me at that time that they hadnt set it because they were waiting for payment to be complete first. So, I left and came back. When I picked up the ring it was set in a size 6.5 band. I asked my partner to drop it off to be re-sized. The customer service representative made it clear to him that they would re-size it for free this time, but in the future there would be a charge. A few days later we went in together to pick it up and upon inspection I immediately saw that it was missing a stone. However, they corrected the missing stone on the spot. Although it was not enjoyable experience, I do like my ring. The staff was not outwardly rude, but I mostly do not enjoy interacting with them. They were too sales focused for my taste. I liked talking with the owner. He was more of a real person.

My fiance purchased an engagement ring with another company however I was not 100% happy with everything and needed to get my new ring sized. I was told by my mother that my late grandfather Ben Cressotti always went to Richards Jewelers for his. So I called and spoke with Tonya asking if they do ring sizing and if they pay for gold since I had some old jewelry as well. She was so helpful and friendly and spoke to you as if she had already known you for a while. We brought the ring and extras in the following day and had Tonya again. She wasnt pushy and she was incredibly honest and so sweet. She worked with me on a plan to open up the back of the setting to make it easier to clean and to catch more light. They rounded the amount of my trade in even though it was less than the alterations to completely cover those which they certainly didnt have to do. Let me tell you, when I picked up the ring I about lost my mind. I started crying because now with their help, my ring was PERFECT. I love it. Im so happy I took my business here and so grateful for their help and honesty. Its so beautiful. She mentioned Chatum and how beautiful their cuts are and shes totally right. So if we ever have to replace my Emerald because its a softer stone that will be what we go with for sure. So impressed. The Chatum stuff they have is no joke some of the most beautiful cuts and stones Ive ever seen.
